¹अब चुंगी (टिक्ॅस) क उगहिया अउर पापी सबहिं ओका सुनइ बरे ओकरे लगे आवइ लाग रहेन।

¹Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.

²तउ फरीसियन अउर धरम सास्तिरियन बड़बड़ करत भए कहइ लागेन, “इ मनई तउ पापी मनइयन क अगवानी करत ह अउर ओनके संग जेवंत ह।”

²The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.”

³ऍह पइ ईसू ओनका इ दिस्टान्त कथा सुनाएस:

³He told them this parable.

⁴“मान ल्या तोहमाँ स कउनो क लगे 100 भेड़ अहइँ अउर ओहमाँ स कउनो एक हेराइ जाइ तउ उ का 99 क खुली जगह मँ तजिके हेरान भेड़ क पाछे न धाई जब ताई उ ओका पाइ न जाइ।

⁴ “Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?

⁵फिन जब ओका भेड़ मिलि जात ह तउ उ ओका खुसी क साथ आपन काँधे प उठावत ह।

⁵ When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

⁶अउर जब घर लौटत ह तउ आपन मीतन अउर पड़ोसियन क नगिचे बोलॉइके कहत ह, ‘मोर संग खुसी मनावा काहेकि मोका हेरान भेड़ मिलि गइ अहइ।’

⁶ When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

⁷मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ, इहइ तरह कउनो एक क मनफिरावइवाला पापी बरे, ओन निनावे धर्मी मनइयन स, जेनका मनफिराव करइ क जरूरत नाहीं, सरगे मँ कहूँ जिआदा खुसी मनाइ जइ।

⁷ I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

⁸“या सोचि ल्या कउनो स्त्री अहइ जेकरे लगे दस चाँदी क सिक्का बाटेन अउर ओकर एक ठु सिक्का हेराइ जात ह तउ का उ दिया बारिके घरे क तब ताई न बहारी अउर होसियारी स नाहीं ढूँढ़त रही जब तलक उ ओका न मिलि जाइ?

⁸ Or what woman, if she had ten drachma A drachma coin was worth about 2 days wages for an agricultural laborer. coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?

⁹अउर जब उ जब ओका पाइ जात ह तउ आपन मीतन अउर पड़ोसियन क लगे बोलॉइके कहत ह, ‘मोरे संग खुसी मनावा काहेकि मोर सिक्का जउन हेराइ ग रहा, मिलि गवा।’

⁹ When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.’

¹⁰मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ इ तरह एक पापी बरे जउन मनफिराव ह, परमेस्सर क दूतन क हाजरी मँ हुआँ खुसी मनाइ जाइ।”

¹⁰ Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”

¹¹फिन ईसू कहेस, “एक मनई क दुइ बेटवा रहेन।

¹¹He said, “A certain man had two sons.

¹²तउ छोटका बेटवा आपन बाप स कहेस, ‘पिताजी, जउन धन दौलत मोरे हींसा मँ आवइ, ओका मोका दइ द्या!’ तउ बाप उन दुइनउँ क आपन धन बाँट दिहेस।

¹² The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of your property.’ He divided his livelihood between them.

¹³अबहीं कउनो जिआदा समइ नाहीं बीता रहा, कि छोटका बेटवा आपन समूचा धन दौलत बटोरेस अउर कउनो दूर देस क चला गवा। अउर हुवाँ जंगली क तरह रहत भवा आपन सारा धन बर्बाद कइ डाएस।

¹³ Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.

¹⁴जबहिं ओकर समूचा धन खतम होइ गवा तबहीं उ देस मँ सबहिं कइँती एक ठु भयानक अकाल पड़ि गवा अउर ओका जरूरत क चीजन क कमती पड़इ लाग।

¹⁴ When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.

¹⁵एह बरे उ देस क कउनो मनई क हिआँ जाइके उ मजूरी करइ लाग। उ ओका आपन खेते मँ सुअर चरावइ पठइ दिहस।

¹⁵ He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.

¹⁶हुवाँ उ सोचत साइद कैरब क फरी पेट भरइ बरे मिलि जाइँ जेका सुअरन खात रहेन मुला कउनो ओका एक फरी नाहीं दिहेस।

¹⁶ He wanted to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.

¹⁷फिन जब ओकर होस ठिकाना मँ आइ गवा तउ उ बोला, ‘मोरे बाप क लगे केतॅना ही अइसे मजूर अहइँ जेनके लगे खाइ क पाछे भी भोजन बचा रहत ह। अउर मइँ हिआँ भूख स मरत हउँ।

¹⁷ But when he came to himself he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!

¹⁸तउ मइँ हिआँ स उठिके आपन बाप क लगे जाब अउर ओनसे कहब: पिताजी, मइँ परमेस्सर अउर तोहरे खिलाफ पाप किहे हउँ।

¹⁸ I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight.

¹⁹अब अगवा स तोहार बेटवा कहवावइ क जोग्ग नाहीं अहउँ। मोका आपन रोजिन्दा क मजूर क नाई बनइ ल्या।’

¹⁹ I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’

²⁰तउ उ उठिके आपन बाप क लगे चला गवा। “अबहिं उ जिआदा दूरी प ही रहा कि ओकर बाप ओका निहारेस अउर ओकरे बाप क दाया आइ। तउ दौड़िके उ ओका आपन बाँहे मँ गहियाह लिहस अउर चूमेस।

²⁰ “He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

²¹बेटवा बाप स कहेस, ‘पिताजी, मइँ तोहरी निगाहे मँ अउर परमेस्सर क खिलाफ पाप किहे हउँ, मइँ अब अउर जिआदा तोहार बेटवा कहवावइ क जोग्ग नाहीं हउँ।’

²¹ The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

²²मुला बाप आपन नउकरन स कहेस, ‘हाली! उत्तिम ओढ़ना निकारि लइ आवा अउर ओनका ऍका पहिरावा। ऍकरे हाथे मँ अँगूठी अउर गोड़वा मँ जूतियाँ पहिरावा।

²² “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.

²³कउनो मोट बछवा लइ आइके मारि डावा अउर आवा ओका हम पचे खाइके खुसी मनाई।

²³ Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat, and celebrate;

²⁴काहेकि मोर इ बेटवा जउन मरि गवा रहा अब जइसे फिन स जिउ उठा बा। इ हेरॉइ गवा रहा, मुला अब इ मिलि गवा अहइ।’ तउ उ पचे खुसी मनावइ लागेन।

²⁴ for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’ They began to celebrate.

²⁵“अब ओकर बड़का बेटवा जउन खेते मँ रहा, जब आवा अउर घरे क लगे पहुँच गवा त उ गावइ नाचइ क सुर सुनेस।

²⁵ “Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

²⁶उ आपन एक ठु नउकर क बोलाइके पूछेस, ‘इ सब का होत अहइ?’

²⁶ He called one of the servants to him, and asked what was going on.

²⁷नउकर ओसे कहेस, ‘तोर भाई आइ गवा अहइ अउर तोर बाप ओका हिफाजत मँ अउर मोटमर्दा पाइके एक ठु मोट बछवा कटवाएस ह!’

²⁷ He said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’

²⁸बड़का भाई कोहाइ गवा, उ भितरे जाइ तलक नाहीं चाहत रहा। तउ ओकर बाप बाहेर आइके ओका समझाएस बुझाएस।

²⁸ But he was angry, and would not go in. Therefore his father came out, and begged him.

²⁹मुला उ बाप क जवाब दिहस, ‘देखा बरिसन स तोहार सेवा मइँ करत रहेउँ। मइँ तोहरे कउनो हुकुम क खिलाफत नाहीं किहेउँ, मुला तू मोका तउ कबहूँ एक बोकरी तलक नाहीं दिहा कि मइँ आपन मीतन क संग कउनो खुसी मनाइ सकित।

²⁹ But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.

³⁰मुला जब तोहार इ बेटवा आवा जउन वेस्यन मँ तोहार धन फूँकेस, ओकरे बरे तू मोट बछवा कटवाया।’

³⁰ But when this, your son, came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’

³¹बाप ओसे कहेस, ‘मोर बेटवा, तू हमेसा ही मोरे लगे अहा अउर जउन कछू मोरे लगे बा, सब तोहार अहइ।

³¹ “He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

³²मुला हमका खुस होइ चाही अउर जलसा मनावइ चाही काहेकि इ भाई, जउन मरि ग रहा, अब फिन जिन्ना होइ, ग अहइ। इ हेराइ ग रहा, अब मिलि गवा बा।”‘

³² But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’”
