¹फिन ईसू चेलन क इ बतावइ बरे एक दिस्टान्त कथा सुनाएस कि उ पचे लगातार पराथना करत रहइँ अउर निरास न होइँ। उ इ दिस्टान्त कथा कहेस:

¹He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,

²“कउनो सहर मँ एक न्यायाधीस होत रहा। उ न तो परमेस्सर स डेरात रहा अउर न ही मनइयन क परवाह करत रहा।

²saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man.

³उहइ सहर मँ, अब लखा एक ठु विधवा भी रहत रही। अउर उ ओनके लगे बार बार आवत अउर कहत, ‘देखा, मोरे बरे कीन्ह गवा अनिआउ क खिलाफ निआउ मिलइ चाही!’

³ A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’

⁴तउ एक लम्बा समइ तलक तउ उ न्यायाधीस नाहीं चाहत रहा मुल आखिर मँ उ आपन मने मँ सोचेस, ‘चाहे मइँ परमेस्सर स न डेरात हउँ अउर न मनइयन क परवाह करत हउँ।

⁴ He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man,

⁵तउ भी काहेकि इ विधवा स मोर कान पक ग अहइँ तउ मइँ देखिहउँ कि ओका निआउ मिलि जाइ जेहसे इ मोरे लगे कइउ दाइँ आइके कहूँ मोरे नाक मँ दम करि देइ!”‘

⁵ yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”

⁶फिन पर्भू कहेस, “देखा! उ दुस्ट न्यायाधीस का कहे रहा।

⁶The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.

⁷तउ का परमेस्सर आपन चुना भए मनइयन प धियान न देइ कि ओनका, जउन ओका राति दिन टेरत हीं, निआव मिलइ? का उ ओनकइ मदद करइ मँ देर लगाई?

⁷ Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?

⁸मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ कि उ ओनका जल्दी निआव देई। फिन भी जब मनई क पूत आइ तउ का उ धरती प बिसवास पाई?”

⁸ I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

⁹फिन ईसू ओन मनइयन बरे जउन आपन क नेक तउ मानत रहेन, अउर कउनो क कछू नाहीं समझतेन, इ दिस्टान्त कथा सुनाएस।

⁹He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.

¹⁰“मन्दिर मँ दुइ मनई पराथना करत रहेन, एक फरीसी रहा अउर दूसर चुंगी (टिक्ॅस) क उगहिया।

¹⁰ “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.

¹¹उ फरीसी अलग खड़ा होइके इ पराथना करइ लाग, ‘हे परमेस्सर मइँ तोहार धन्यबाद करत हउँ कि मइँ दूसर मनइयन जउन डाकू, ठग अउर व्यभिचार नाहीं हउँ अउर न ही इ चुंगी उगहिया जइसा हउँ।

¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: ‘God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

¹²मइँ हप्ता मँ दुइ दाई उपास राखत हउँ अउर आपन समूची आमदनी क दसवाँ हींसा दान मँ दइ देत हउँ।’

¹² I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’

¹³“मुला उ चुंगी उगहिया जउन दूर खड़ा रहा अउर हिआँ तलक कि सरगे कइँती आपन आँखिन उठाइके नाहीं लखत रहा, आपन छतिया पीटत भवा बोला, ‘हे परमेस्सर, मोहे पापी प द्या कर!’

¹³ But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’

¹⁴मइँ तोहका बतावत हउँ, इहइ मनई धर्मी कहवाइके आपन घरे लौट गवा, न कि उ दूसर। काहेकि हर उ मनई जउन आपन खुद क बड़का समझी, ओका छोटका बनइ दीन्ह जाइ अउर जउन दीन मानी, ओका बड़का बनइ दीन्ह जाइ।”

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

¹⁵मनई आपन गदेलन तलक ईसू क लगे लइ आवत रहेन कि उ ओनका छू भरि देइ। मुला जब ओकर चेलन इ लखेन तउ ओनका झड़पेन।

¹⁵They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

¹⁶मुला ईसू गदेलन क लगे बोलाएस अउर चेलन स कहेस, “इ नान्ह गदेलन क मोरे लगे आवइ द्या, ऍनका जिन रोका, काहेकि परमेस्सर क राज्य अइसन क अहइ।

¹⁶Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

¹⁷मइँ सच कहत हउँ कि जउन परमेस्सर क राज्य इ गदेलन क नाई ग्रहण नाहीं करत ह, ओहमाँ कबहुँ घुसि न पाई।”

¹⁷ Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

¹⁸फिन कउनो यहूदी नेता ईसू स पूछेस, “उत्तिम गुरु, अनन्त जीवन क हक पावइ बरे मोका का करइ चाही?”

¹⁸A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

¹⁹ईसू ओसे कहेस, “तू मोका उत्तिम काहे कहत अहा? सिरिफ परमेस्सर क तजिके अउर कउनो भी उत्तिम नाहीं अहइ।

¹⁹Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one—God.

²⁰तू परमेस्सर क हुकुम क तो जानत अहा: ‘व्यभिचार जिन करा, कतल जिन करा, चोरी जिन करा, झूठी साच्छी जिन द्या, आपन बाप अउर महतारी क आदर करा।’”

²⁰ You know the commandments: ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20

²¹उ यहूदी नेता बोला, “मइँ इन बातन क आपन लरिकाई स मानत आवा हउँ!”

²¹He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”

²²ईसू जब इ सुनेस तउ उ ओसे बोला, “अबहीं एक बात अहइ जेकर तोहमाँ कमी अहइ। तोहरे लगे जउन कछू अहइ, सब कछू क बेंचि डावा अउर फिन जउन मिलइ, ओका गरीबन मँ बाँटा। ऍहसे तोहका सरगे मँ भण्डारा मिली। फिन आवा अउर मोरे पाछे होइ जा।”

²²When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me.”

²³तउ जब यहूदी नेता सुनेस तउ उ बहोत दुःखी भवा, काहेकि उ बहुत अमीर रहा।

²³But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.

²⁴ईसू जब ई देखेस कि उ बहोत दुःखी अहइ तउ उ कहेस, “ओन मनइयन बरे जेनके लगे धन वा, परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुसि पाउब केतना मुस्किल अहइ।

²⁴Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!

²⁵हाँ, कउनो ऊँट बरे सुई क नोंक स निकरि जाब तउ सहज बा मुला कउनो धनी मनई क परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुस पाउब सहल नाहीं अहइ!”

²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”

²⁶उ मनइयन जउन इ सुनेन, बोलेन, “फिन भला उद्धार केकर होइ?”

²⁶Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”

²⁷ईसू कहेस, “उ बातन जउन मनइयन बरे नाहीं होइ सकतीं, परमेस्सर बरे होइ सकत हीं1”

²⁷But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

²⁸फिन पतरस कहेस, “देखा, तोहरे पाछे चलइ बरे हम उ सब कछू तजि दीन्ह ह जउन हमरे पास रहा!”

²⁸Peter said, “Look, we have left everything, and followed you.”

²⁹तब ईसू ओनसे बोला, “मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ, अइसा कउनो नाहीं जउन परमेस्सर क राज्य बरे घर-बार, पत्नी या भाइयन या महतारी बाप या संतान क तजि दिहे होइ,

²⁹He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the Kingdom of God’s sake,

³⁰अउर ओका इहइ जुग मँ कइउ कइउ गुना जिआदा न मिलइ अउर आवइवाला समइ मँ उ अनन्त जीवन क न पाइ जाइ।”

³⁰ who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”

³¹फिन ईसू ओन बारहु क एक कइँती लइ जाइके ओनसे बोला, “सुना, हम यरूसलेम जात अही। मनई क पूत क बारे मँ नबियन क जरिये जउन कछू लिखा गवा अहइ, उ पूर होइ।

³¹He took the twelve aside, and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.

³²हाँ, उ गैर यहूदियन क सौंप दीन्ह जाइ, ओकर मसखरी उड़ाइ जाइ, उ कोसा जाइ अउर ओह पइ थूक दीन्ह जाइ।

³² For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.

³³फिन उ सबइ ओका पिटिहीं अउर मारि डइहीं अउर तीसर दिन फिन जी जाई।”

³³ They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”

³⁴एहमाँ स कउनो भी बात उ सबइ नाहीं समुझ सकेन। इ कहब ओनसे छुपा ही रही गवा कि उ कउने बारे मँ बतावत रहा।

³⁴They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they didn’t understand the things that were said.

³⁵ईसू जब यरीहो क लगे पहुँचा रहा तउ भीख माँगत भवा एक आँधर, हुवँई राह किनारे बइठा रहा।

³⁵It happened, as he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.

³⁶आँधर जब मनइयन क जाइ क आवाज सुनेस तउ उ पूछेस, “का होत अहइ?”

³⁶Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.

³⁷तउ मनइयन ओसे कहेन, “नासरत क ईसू हिआँ स जात अहइ।”

³⁷They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

³⁸तउ आँधर इ कहत भवा पुकार उठा, “दाऊद क पूत, ईसू। मोहे प द्या करा!”

³⁸He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

³⁹उ जउन अगवा चलत रहेन उ पचे ओसे खमोस रहइ क कहेन, मुला उ अउर जिआदा पुकारइ लाग, “दाऊद क पूत मोरे प द्या करा!”

³⁹Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁰ईसू थम गवा अउर उ हुकुम दिहेस कि आँधर क ओकरे लगे लइ आवा जाइ! तउ जब उ नगिचे आवा तउ ईसू ओसे पूछेस,

⁴⁰Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,

⁴¹“तू का चाहत ह मइँ तोहरे बरे का करउँ?” उ कहेस, “पर्भू, मइँ फिन स देखइ चाहत हउँ।”

⁴¹ “What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”

⁴²ऍह पइ ईसू कहेस, “तोहका जोति मिलइ, तोहार बिसवास स तोहार रद्धार भवा ह.”

⁴²Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”

⁴³अउर फउरन ही ओका आँखिन मिल गइन। उ परमेस्सर क महिमा क बखान करत भवा ईसू क पाछे होइ गवा। जब सब मनइयन इ देखेन तउ उ पचे परमेस्सर क स्तुति करइ लागेन।

⁴³Immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
