¹पवित्तर आतिमा स भरा भवा ईसू यरदन नदी स लौटि आवा। आतिमा ओका ऊसरे मँ राह देखॉवत रही।

¹Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness

²हुवाँ सइतान चालीस दिन ताईं ओकर परीच्छा लिहस। ओ दिनन मँ ईसू वे खइया क खाए रहा। फिन जब समइ पूर भवा तउ ईसू भुखान।

²for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.

³एह बरे सइतान ओसे कहेस, “जदि तू परमेस्सर क पूत अहा तउ इ पथरे स रोटी बनइ बरे कहा।”

³The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

⁴ऍह पइ ईसू जवाब दिहस, “पवित्तर सास्तरन मँ लिखा बा: ‘मनई सिरिफ रोटी प नाहीं जिअत।”‘ व्यवस्था विवरण 8:3

⁴Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” Deuteronomy 8:3

⁵फिन सइतान ओका बहोत ऊँच लइ गवा अउर छिन भर मँ समूचे संसार क राज्य ओका देखॉवत बोला,

⁵The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

⁶अउर सइतान ओहसे कहेस, “मइँ इन राज्यन क तोहका हुकूमत अउर धन दौलत दइ देइहउँ अउर मइँ जेका चाहउँ ओका दइ सकत हउँ।

⁶The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.

⁷एह बरे यदि तू मोर आराधना करब्या तउ इ सब तोहार होइ जाई।”

⁷If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours.”

⁸ईसू ओका जवाब देत भवा बोला, “पवित्तर सास्तरन मँ लिखा बा: ‘तोहका सिरिफ आपन पर्भू परमेस्सर क ही आराधना करइ चाही। तोहका सिरिफ उहइ क सेवा करइ चाही!” व्यवस्था विवरण 6:13

⁸Jesus answered him, “Get behind me Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’” Deuteronomy 6:13

⁹तब उ ओका यरूसलेम लइ गवा अउर हुवाँ मन्दिर क सबते ऊँची चोटी प लइ जाइके खड़ा कइ दिहस। अउर उ ओसे बोला, “जदि तू परमेस्सर क पूत अहा तउ हिआँ स अपने आपक तरखाले गिरइ द्या।

⁹He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,

¹⁰पवित्तर सास्तर मँ लिखा अहइ: ‘उ आपन सरगदूतन क तोहरे बारे मँ हुकुम देई कि उ पचे तोहार रच्छा करइँ।’ भजन संहिता 91:11

¹⁰for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’

¹¹अउर लिखा अहइ: ‘उ पचे तोहका आपन बाँहे मँ अइसे उठइहीं कि तोहार गोड़ कउनो पाथर स न टकराई।”‘ भजन संहिता 91:12

¹¹and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’” Psalm 91:11-12

¹²ईसू जवाब देत भवा कहेस, “पवित्तर सास्तरन मँ इ भी लिखा बा: ‘तोहका आपन पर्भू परमेस्सर क परीच्छा मँ नाहीं नावइ चाही।”‘ व्यवस्था विवरण 6:16

¹²Jesus answering, said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’” Deuteronomy 6:16

¹³तउ जब सइतान ओकर सबइ तरह क परीच्छा लइके हारि गवा तउ दूसरइ समइ तलक ओका तजिके चल दिहस।

¹³When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.

¹⁴फिन ईसू आतिमा क समर्थ स भरा भवा गलील लौटि आवा अउर उ समूचे पहँटा मँ ओकर चर्चा फैलि गइ।

¹⁴Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.

¹⁵उ ओनके आराधनालय मँ उपदेस दिहेस। सबइ ओकर प्रसंसा करत रहेन।

¹⁵He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

¹⁶फिन उ नासरत आवा जहाँ उ पला अउर बड़ा भवा। आपन आदत क मुताबिक सबित क दिन उ आराधनालय मँ गवा। जबहिं उ पाठ बाँचइ खड़ा भवा।

¹⁶He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

¹⁷तउ यसायाह नबी क किताब ओका दीन्ह गई। जब उ किताब खोलेस तउ ओका जगह मिला जहाँ लिखा रहा कि:

¹⁷The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,

¹⁸“पर्भू क आतिमा मोरे मँ समाइ गइ अहइ काहेकि किहेस ह उ मोर अभिसेक कि दीनउँ क सुसमाचार सुनाउब मइँ, उ मोका पठएस ह बंदीयन क इ बतावइ कि उ पचे अजाद अहइँ। आँधर क आँखिन मँ जोति सरसावइ, अउर दलितन क छुटकारा देवॉवइ;

¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, NU omits “to heal the brokenhearted” to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

¹⁹पर्भू क अनुग्रह क समइ बतावइ क भेजा अहइ!” यसायाह 61:1-2

¹⁹ and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Isaiah 61:1-2

²⁰फिन उ किताब क बंद कइके परिचारक क हथवा मँ दइ दिहस अउर बैठ गवा। आराधनालय मँ सबइ क आँखिन ओका निहारत रहिन।

²⁰He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.

²¹तब उ ओनसे कहब सुरु किहेस, “आज इ बचन तोहरे काने मँ पूर भवा!”

²¹He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

²²हर कउनो ओकरे बारे मँ अच्छी बातन कहत रहेन। ओकरे मुँहना स जउन सुन्दर बचन निकरत रहेन, ओन प सबन क अचरज भवा। उ पचे कहेन, “का इ यूसुफ क बेटवा नाहीं अहइ?”

²²All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”

²³फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू पचे जरूर मोका इ कहावत सुनउब्या, ‘अरे वैद्य खुद आपन इलाज करा।’ कफरनहूम मँ तोहरे जउन काजे क बारे मँ हम पचे सुना ह, उ काजे क हिआँ आपन खुद क सहर मँ भी कइ डावा!”‘

²³He said to them, “Doubtless you will tell me this parable, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”

²⁴ईसू तब ओनसे कहेस, “मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ कि आपन सहर मँ कउनो नबी क स्वागत नाहीं होत।

²⁴He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

²⁵मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ इस्राएल मँ एलिय्याह क समइ मँ जब अकास जइसे मुँद गवा रहा अउर साढ़े तीन बरिस तलक पूरी धरती मँ खौफनाक अकाल पड़ि गवा, तउ हुवाँ बहुत विधवन रहेन।

²⁵ But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.

²⁶मुला सैदा पहँटा के सारपत सहर क एक विधवा क तजिके एलिय्याह क कउनो अउर क लगे नाहीं पठवा गवा रहा।

²⁶ Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

²⁷अउर नबी एलीसा क समइया मँ इस्राएल मँ ढेर कोढ़ी रहेन मुला ओहमाँ स सीरिया क बसइया नामान क तजिके अउर कउनो क सुद्ध नाहीं कीन्ह गवा रहा।”

²⁷ There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian.”

²⁸तउ जबहिं आराधनालय मँ मनइयन इ सुनेन तउ सबहिं बहोत क्रोध स भर गएन।

²⁸They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.

²⁹तउ उ पचे खड़ा भएन अउर ओका सहर स बाहेर ढकेल दिहेन। उ सबइ ओका पहाड़े क उ चोटी प लइ गएन जेह प ओकर सहर बसा रहा जेसे उ पचे हुवाँ तरखाले झोंकि देइँ।

²⁹They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.

³⁰मुला उ ओनके बीच स निकरिके कहूँ आपन राहे प चला गवा।

³⁰But he, passing through their midst, went his way.

³¹फिन उ गलील क एक सहर कफरनहूम गवा अउर सबित क दिन मनइयन क उपदेस देइ लाग।

³¹He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,

³²मनई ओकरे उपदेस स अचरज मँ पड़ि गएन काहेकि ओकर संदेस मुड्ढ विद्वान क तरह रहा।

³²and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.

³³हुवँई एक ठु मनई आराधनालय मँ रहा जेहमाँ एक दुस्ट आतिमा क सवारी रही। उ जोर स चिल्लान,

³³In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,

³⁴“हे नासरत क ईसू! तु हमसे का चाहत बाट्या? का तू हमार नास करइ आइ अहा? मइँ जानत हउँ तू कउन अहा तू परमेस्सर क पवित्तर मनई अहा!”

³⁴saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”

³⁵ईसू झिड़कत भवा ओसे कहेस, “चुप रहा। एहमाँ स बाहेर निकरि आवा!” एह पइ दुस्ट आतिमा उ मनई क लोगन्क समन्वा दइ मारेस अउर ओका बे नसकान किए ओसे बाहेर निकरि गइ।

³⁵Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.

³⁶सबइ कोउ अचरजे मँ पड़ि गएन। उ सबइ एक दूसर स बतियात कहेन, “इ कइसा सन्देस बा? हक अउर सक्ती क संग इ दुस्ट आतिमन क हुकुम देत ह अउर उ सबइ बाहेर निकरि जात हीं।”

³⁶Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

³⁷उ पहँटा मँ लगे हर ठउरे प ओकरे बारे मँ खबर सँचर गइ।

³⁷News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.

³⁸तब ईसू आराधनालय क तजिके समौन क घर चला गवा। समौन क सासे क बहोत बोखार चढ़ा रहा। उ पचे ईसू स मदद बरे बिनती किहेन।

³⁸He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him for her.

³⁹ईसू ओकरे सिरहाने खड़ा भवा अउर बोखारे क डाटेस। बोखार ओहका छोड़ि दिहस। उ फउरन खड़ी होइ गइ अउर ओनकर सेवा करइ लाग।

³⁹He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.

⁴⁰जब सूरज ओनवबत रहा तउ जेकरे हिआँ किसिम किसिम क बेमारी स पीड़ित रहेन, उ सबइ ओनका ओकरे लगे लइ आएन। अउर उ आपन हथवा ओहमाँ स हर एक पर रखत भए ओनका चंगा किहे।

⁴⁰When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

⁴¹ओहमाँ बहोतन मँ दुस्ट आतिमन चिचियात भइ इ कहत बाहेर निकरि आइन, “तू परमेस्सर क पूत अहा।” मुला उ ओनका डाँटेस अउर बोलइ नाहीं दिहस, काहेकि उ सबइ जानत रहिन कि “उ मसीह अहइ।”

⁴¹Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Rebuking them, he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

⁴²जब भिनसार भवा तउ हुवाँ स उ कउनो एकांत ठउर चला गवा। मुला भीड़ ओका हेरत हेरत हुवँइ जाइके पहोंच गइ जहाँ उ रहा। उ पचे ओका ओनका छोड़िके न जाइ स रोकेन।

⁴²When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn’t go away from them.

⁴³मुला उ ओनसे कहेस, “परमेस्सर क राज्य क बारे मँ सुसमाचार मोका दूसर सहरन मँ भी पठवइ क बा काहेकि मोका यह बरे पठवा ग अहइ।”

⁴³But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.”

⁴⁴अउर इ तरह उ यहूदिया क आराधनालय मँ लगातार उपदेस देत रहा।

⁴⁴He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
