¹ईसू मनइयन क जउन सुनावा चाहत रहा, ओका कहि चुकइ क पाछे उ कफरनहूम चला गवा।

¹After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

²हुवाँ एक फऊजी नायक रहा जेकर नउकर ऍतना बेरमिया रहा कि मरइ के नगीचे रहा। उ नउकर ओकर बहोत पियारा रहा।

²A certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.

³फऊजी नायक जब ईसू क बारे मँ सुनेस तउ उ कछू बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन क इ बिनती करइ क ओकरे लगे पठएस कि उ आइके ओकरे नउकर क प्राण बचाइ लेइ।

³When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and save his servant.

⁴जब उ पचे ईसू क नगीचे पहुँच गएन तउ उ सबइ सच्चे मने स बिनती करत भए कहेन, “उ इ जोग्ग अहइ कि तू ओकरे बरे अइसा करा।

⁴When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,

⁵काहेकि उ हमरे मनइयन स पिरेम करत ह। उ हमरे बरे आराधनालय क बनवाएस ह।”

⁵for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.”

⁶ऍह पर ईसू ओनके संग चल दिहेस। अबहिं जब उ घरे स जिआदा दूर नहीं रहा, उ फऊजी नायक ओकरे लगे आपन मीतन क इ कहइ बरे पठएस, “पर्भू आपन क कस्ट जिन द्या काहेकि मइँ ऍतना नीक मनई नाहीं कि तू मोरे घरवा आवा।

⁶Jesus went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof.

⁷एह बरे मइँ तोहरे लगे आवइ तलक नाहीं सोचेउँ। मुला तू बस कहि भर द्या, मोर नउकर नीक होइ जाई।

⁷Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.

⁸मइँ खुद कउनो अधिकारी क मातहत काम करत हउँ अउर मोरे मातहत भी कछू सिपाही अहइँ। मइँ जब कउनो स कहत हउँ, ‘जा’ तउ उ चला जात ह। अउर जब मइँ आपन नउकर स कहत हउँ, ‘आवा’ तउ उ आइ जात ह अउर जब मइँ आपन नउकर स कहत हउँ, ‘इ करा’ तउ उ ओका करत ह।”

⁸For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

⁹ईसू जब इ सुनेस तउ ओका ओह प बहोत अचरज भवा। जउन भारी मनइयन क भीड़ ओकरे पाछे चली आवत रही, ओनके कइँती मुड़िके ईसू कहेस, “मइँ तोहका बतावत हउँ अइसा बिसवास मोका इस्राएल मँ भी कहूँ नाहीं मिला।”

⁹When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel.”

¹⁰फिन पठए भए उ पचे जब वापस घरे पहुँचेन तउ उ सबइ उ नउकरे क बेरामी स जरटुट पाएन।

¹⁰Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.

¹¹फिन अइसा भवा कि ईसू नाइन नाउँ क एक सहर चला गवा। ओकर चेलन अउर भारी आलम ओकरे संग रहा।

¹¹It happened soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.

¹²उ जइसे ही सहर दुआरे क नगिचे आवा तउ हुवाँ स एक मुर्दा क लइ जात रहेन। उ आपन विधवा महतारी क इकलौता बेटवा रहा। तउ सहर क अनगिनत मनइयन क भीड़ ओकरे संग रही।

¹²Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.

¹³जइसे पर्भू ओका निहारेस तउ ओकार हिरदय दया स भर गवा। उ उससे बोला, “जिन रोवा।”

¹³When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, “Don’t cry.”

¹⁴फिन उ अगवा बढ़ा अउर उ ताबूत क छुइ लिहस उ पचे जउन ताबूते क लइ जात रहेन, हुवँइ ठहर गएन। ईसू कहेस, “नउ जवान! मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ खड़ा ह्वाा!”

¹⁴He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”

¹⁵तउ उ मुर्दा मनई बइठ गवा अउर बोलइ लाग। ईसू ओका ओकरी महतारी क वापस लौटाएस।

¹⁵He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.

¹⁶अउर फिन उ सबइ स्त्रद्धा अउर अचरज मँ पड़ि गएन। अउर इ कहत भएन परमेस्सर क महिमा बखनइ लागेन, हमरे बीच एक महान नबी परगट भवा अहइ!” अउर कहइ लागेन, “परमेस्सर आपन मनइयन क मदद करइ बरे आइ ग अहइ।”

¹⁶Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”

¹⁷ईसू क समाचार यहूदिया अउर आस-पास क देसन मँ सब कहूँ कइँती फैलि गइ।

¹⁷This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.

¹⁸इ सबइ बातन क बारे मँ यूहन्ना क मनवइयन ओका सब कछू बताइ दिहन। तउ यूहन्ना आपन दुइ चेलन क बोलाइ के

¹⁸The disciples of John told him about all these things.

¹⁹ओनका पर्भू स इ पूछइ बरे पठएस, “का तू उहइ अहा, जउन आवइवाला अहइ या हम पचे कउनो अउर क बाट जोही?”

¹⁹John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”

²⁰फिन उ मनइयन ईसू क लगे पहुँचेन तउ उ पचे कहेन, “बपतिस्मा क देवइया यूहन्ना हमका तोहसे इ पूछइ पठएस ह, ‘का तू उहइ अहा जउन आवइवाला अहइ या हम सबइ कउनो अउर क बाट जोही।”‘

²⁰When the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptizer has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”

²¹उहइ समइ उ बहोत स बेरमिया क नीक किहेन अउर ओनका करुण दुख अउर दुस्ट आतिमन स छुटकारा दियाएस। अउर बहोत स आँधर न क आँखिन दिहेस।

²¹In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.

²²फिन उ ओनका जवाब दिहस, “जा अउर यूहन्ना स जउन तू निहार्या ह अउर सुन्या ह, ओका बतावा कि आँधर फिन स लखत अहइँ, लँगड़ा लूला चलत फिरत अहइँ अउर कोढ़ी सुद्ध होइ ग अहइँ। बहिरन सुनि पावत हीं अउर मुरदा फिन जिआवा जात अहइँ। गरीब मनइयन क सुसमाचार सुनाई जात अहइ।

²²Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

²³उ मनई धन्य अहइ जेका मोरे क स्वीकार करइ मँ कउनो हिचक नाहीं।”

²³ Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

²⁴जब यूहन्ना क संदेस लइ आवइवालन चला गएन तउ ईसू भीड़े मँ मनइयन क यूहन्ना क बारे मँ बताउब सुरु किहेस: “तू पचे बियाबान जंगल मँ का लखइ गवा रह्या? का हवा मँ झूलत कउनो सरपत लखे गवा रइया? नाहीं?

²⁴When John’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

²⁵फिन तू का लखइ गवा रह्या? का कउनो पुरुस क मँहगा ओढ़ना पहिरे क लखइ गवा रह्या? नाहीं, उ पचे जउन उत्तिम ओढ़ना पहिरत हीं अउर जउन भोग बिलास क जिन्नगी मँ जिअत हीं, उ सबइ तउ रजवाड़ा मँ पाइ जात हीं।

²⁵ But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.

²⁶मुला बतावा तू का देखइ गवा रह्या? का कउनो नबी? हाँ, मइँ तोहका बतावत हउँ कि तू जेका लख्या ह, उ कउनो नबी स कहीं जिआदा बा।

²⁶ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.

²⁷इ उहइ अहइ जेकरे बारे मँ लिखा अहइ: ‘देखा! तोहसे पहिले मइँ आपन दूत पठवत अही, उ तोहसे पहिले ही राह तइयार करी।’ मलाकी 3:1

²⁷ This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ Malachi 3:1

²⁸मइँ तोहका बतावत हउँ कि कउनो स्त्रियन स पइदा भएन मँ यूहन्ना स महान कउनो नाहीं अहइ। मुला फिन भी परमेस्सर क राज्य क छोटा स छोटा मनई भी ओस बड़का बा।”

²⁸ “For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptizer, yet he who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than he.”

²⁹(तबहिं हर कउनो, हियाँ तलक कि चुंगी (टिक्स) उगहिया भी यूहन्ना क सुनिके ओकर बपतिस्मा लइके इ मान लिहेन कि परमेस्सर क रस्ता सच्चा अहइ।

²⁹When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.

³⁰मुला फरीसियन अउर धरम सास्तिरियन ओकर बपतिस्मा न लइके ओनके बारे मँ परमेस्सर क इच्छा क टारि दिहन।)

³⁰But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.

³¹“तउ फिन इ पीढ़ी क मनइयन क उपमा मइँ कउने स करउँ कि उ पचे कइसे बाटेन?

³¹ TR adds “But the Lord said,” “To what then will I liken the people of this generation? What are they like?

³²उ पचे बजारे मँ बइठेन ओन बचवन क नाईं अहइँ जउन एक दूसर क पुकारिके कहत हीं: ‘हम तोहरे बरे बाँसुरी बजावा मुला तू नाच्या नाहीं। हम तोहरे बरे सोक गवनिया गावा मुला तू रोया नाहीं।’

³² They are like children who sit in the marketplace, and call one to another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’

³³काहेकि बपतिस्मा क देवइया यूहन्ना आवा जउन न तउ रोटी खात रहा अउर न ही दाखरस पिअत रहा अउर तू कहत ह, ‘ओहमाँ दुस्ट आतिमा समाइ गइ अहइ।’

³³ For John the Baptizer came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

³⁴फिन खात पिअत भवा मनई क पूत आवा, मुला तू कहत अहा, ‘देखा, इ पेटार अहइ। पियक्कड़ अहइ, चुंगी उगहियन अउर पापी मनइयन क मीत अहइ।’

³⁴ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard; a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

³⁵बुद्धि क उत्तिम होब ओकरे फल स सिद्ध होत ह।”

³⁵ Wisdom is justified by all her children.”

³⁶फरीसियन मँ एक ठु फरीसी आपन संग खइया प ओका न्योत दिहस। तउ उ फरीसी क घर गवा अउर ओकरे हियाँ भोजन करइ बइठा।

³⁶One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house, and sat at the table.

³⁷हुवँई सहर मँ एक पापी स्त्री रही, ओक जब इ पता चलि गवा कि उ एक फरीसी क घर भोजन करत अहइ तउ उ स्फटिक क एक पथरी मँ इतर लइके आइ।

³⁷Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment.

³⁸उ ओकरे पाछे ओकरे गोड़वा क लगे खड़ी रही। उ रोवत रही। आपन आँसुअन स उ ओकर गोड़ भिजवइ लाग। फिन उ गोड़वा क आपन बाले स पोंछेस अउर गोड़वा क चूमिके ओन प इतर उड़ेरेस।

³⁸Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

³⁹उ फरीसी जउन ईसू क आपन घर बोलाएस, इ लखिके मनवा मँ सोचेस, “जदि इ मनई नबी अहइ अउर कइसी अहइ? उ जान लेत कि इ तउ पापिन अहइ।”

³⁹Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

⁴⁰जवाबे मँ ईसू ओसे कहेस, “समौन मोका तोहसे कछू कहइ क अहइ।” उ बोला, “हे गुरु, कहा।”

⁴⁰Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”

⁴¹ईसू कहेस, “कउनो साहूकारे क दुइ करजदार रहेन। एक प ओकरे पाँचसौ चानी क सिक्का निकरत रहेन अउर दूसर प पचास।

⁴¹ “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

⁴²काहेकि उ दुइनउँ करजा नाहीं पाट पाएन। यह बरे उ दाया कइके दुइनउँ क करजा माफ कइ दिहस। अब बतावा दुइनउँ मँ स ओका जिआदा पिरेम कउन स करी?”

⁴² When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”

⁴³समौन जवाब दिहस, “मोर बिचार बा, उहइ जेका उ जिआदा करजा छोड़ दिहस।” ईसू कहेस, “तू नीक सोच्या ह।”

⁴³Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

⁴⁴फिन उ स्त्री कइँती मुड़िके उ समौन स कहेस, “तू इ स्त्री क लखत अहा? मइँ तोहरे घरवा आवा अही, तू मोड़े गोड़वा धोवइ क पानी नाहीं दिहा मुला इ मेरे गोड़वा क अँसुअन स धोइ दिहस अउर फिन आपन बरवा स पोंछेस।

⁴⁴Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.

⁴⁵तू स्वागत मँ मोका नाहीं चूम्या मुला इ जब तलक मइँ भितरे गवा हउँ, मोरे गोड़वा क लगातार चूमत बाटइ।

⁴⁵ You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

⁴⁶तू मोरे मूॅड़े प तेल नाहीं मल्या, मुला इ मोरे गोड़वा प इतर छिड़केस।

⁴⁶ You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

⁴⁷एह बरे मइँ तोहका बतावत हउँ कि ऍकर अगाध पिरेम दर्सित करत ह कि ऍकर पाप छमा कइ दीन्ह ग अहइँ। मुला उ जेका तनिक पापन क छमा मिली, उ थोड़ा पिरेम करत ह।”

⁴⁷ Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

⁴⁸तब ईसू उ स्त्री स कहेस, “तोहार पाप छमा कइ दीन्ह ग अहइँ।”

⁴⁸He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

⁴⁹फिन जउन ओकरे संग जेंवत रहेन, उ सबइ मने मँ सोचइ लागेन, “इ कउन अहइ, जउन पापन क छमा कइ देत ह”

⁴⁹Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

⁵⁰तब उ स्त्री स ईसू कहेस, “तोहार बिसवास तोहार रच्छा किहेस ह। सांति स जा।”

⁵⁰He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
