¹फिन ईसू झील क तीरे उपदेस देइ लाग। ओकरे चारिहुँ ओर भारी भीर जमा होइ गइ। ऍसे उ झील मँ डारी भई नाउ प जाइके बइठा। सभई लोग झील क तीरे धरती प ठाड़ रहेन।

¹Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea.

²उ ओनका ढेर कइ बतिया दिस्तान्त क संग सिकाएस। आपन उपदेस मँ कहेस,

²He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,

³“सुन ल्या! एक ठु किसान आपन बिया बोवइ गवा।

³ “Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,

⁴जब उ बिया बोवत रहा कछू बिया राह क किनारे गिर गवा। चिरियन आइन अउर चुन लिहन।

⁴ and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds TR adds “of the air” came and devoured it.

⁵कछू बिया पथरही भुइयाँ प गिरा, जहँ थोड़ माटी रही। हाली स अँखुवाइ गवा काहेकि माटी गहरी नाहीं रही।

⁵ Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.

⁶जब सूरज निकरा, उ सबइ पउधन झुराइ गएन। जर न पकड़ि पवावइ क कारण कुम्हिलाइ गएन।

⁶ When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

⁷अउर कछू बिआ काँटन मँ जाइ गिरेन। कँटही झाड़ी बाढ़ी अउर ओनका दहबोच लिहन। ऍहमाँ दाना नाहीं पइदा भवा।

⁷ Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

⁸कछू बिया बढ़िया खेतन मँ बिखराइ गएन। इ बढ़िया खेतनमाँ जामेन, बाढ़ेन अउर दाना पइदा करेन। इ बिया तीस गुना, साठ गुना अउर हिआँ तलक कि सउ गुना फसल भइ।”

⁸ Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.”

⁹तबइ उ कहेस, “तोहरे पास जेकरे कान होइ तउ उ सुन लेइ।”

⁹He said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”

¹⁰फिन जब अकेल्ला रहा, तउ बारहु प्रेरितन अउर दूसर मनइयन ओकरे चारिहुँ कइँती रहेन, उ सबइ ओसे दिस्टान्त क बारे मँ पूछेन।

¹⁰When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.

¹¹ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू सबन्क परमेस्सर क राज्य भेद बताइ दीन्ह। मुला ओनके बरे जउन बाहेर क अहइँ सब बातन दिस्टान्त दीन्ह गइ अहइँ।

¹¹He said to them, “To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,

¹²एह बरे, ‘उ सब देखइँ अउर देखॅतई रहा मुला कछू सुझइ नाहीं, सुनि लेइँ अउर सुनतइ रहइँ, मुला कछू बूझइ नाहीं। नाहीं तउ, उ सब घूमि जाइँ अउर छमा कइ दीन्ह जाइ।”‘ यसायाह 6:9-10

¹² that ‘seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’” Isaiah 6:9-10

¹³उ ओनसे कहेस, “का तू इ दिस्टान्त क समझ पउत्या नाहीं तउ अउ कउनो दिस्टान्त क कइसे समझ पउब्या?

¹³He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?

¹⁴“बिया क बोवइया जउन बोवत ह, उ परमेस्सर क उपदेस अहइ।

¹⁴ The farmer sows the word.

¹⁵कछू जने राहे क उ सब बिया क तरह अहइँ, जहाँ उपदेस बोइ गवा रहा। जब उ सुनत हीं, सइतान तुरंत ही आवत ह उ उपदेस क लइ जात ह, जउन बिया बोवा रहा।

¹⁵ The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.

¹⁶कछू जने उ बिया क तरह अहइँ जउन पथरही धरती मँ बोएन। बिया जब उ उपदेस सुनत हीं, उ पचे फउरन उपदेस खुसी स अपनाइ लेत हीं।

¹⁶ These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.

¹⁷लेकिन उ सब आपन मँ जर नाहीं धरतेन उ सब तनिक समइया मँ रह पावत हीं। पाछे जब उपदेस क कारण बिपत आवत ह अउर खूबइ सतावा जात हीं उ पचे फउरन बिसवास खोइ देत हीं।

¹⁷ They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.

¹⁸अउर दूसर मिला कँटही झाड़ी मँ बिया क बोवइ क तरह अहइँ। ई मनइयन उपदेस क सुनत हीं।

¹⁸ Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word,

¹⁹मुला जिन्नगी क चिन्ता धन, लालच अउर दूसर चीजन्क इच्छा ओनके मनवा मँ आवत ही उपदेस क दबोच लेत हीं। फिन ओन प फर लागत नाहीं।

¹⁹ and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

²⁰दूसर उ बिया क तरह अहइँ जउन बढ़िया भुइँया प बोइ ग अहइँ। ई पचे उ अहीं जउन बचन सुनत ही अउर अंगीकार करत हीं। ओन प फर लागत ह-कहुँ तीस कहुँ साठ अउर कहुँ सउ गुना या जिआदा।”

²⁰ Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”

²¹फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “का कहुँ दिया एह बरे लियाइ जात ह कि एक खोरा या बिछउना क नीचे धरा जाइ? का ऍका डिवटे प धरइ बरे नाहीं लिआइ जात?

²¹He said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket literally, a modion, a dry measuring basket containing about a peck (about 9 litres) or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?

²²अइसे अइसा कछू नाहीं गुप्त अहइ जेका छिपाइ क धरा जाइ अइसा कउनो रहस्य नाहीं जउन खुलि न सकइ। हर छिपाइ गइ बात खुलि के समन्नवा आई।

²² For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.

²³तोहरे पास जेकरे कान होइ तउ उ सुन लेइ।

²³ If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”

²⁴“धिआन द्या जउन तू सुनत अहा। जउन नपना तू दूसर बरे बइपरत अहा, तउन नपना स तू नापा जाब्या। लेकिन तोहरे बरे कछू अउ जोरि दीन्ह जाइ।

²⁴He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.

²⁵जेकरे पास अहइ ओका अउर दीन्ह जाई अउर जे धरे नाहीं, जउनहुँ कछू धरे होइ ओसे उहइ लइ लीन्ह जाई।”

²⁵ For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”

²⁶फिन ईसू कहेस, “परमेस्सर क राज्य अइसा अहइ कउनो मनई खेतन मँ बिया छितरावइ।

²⁶He said, “The Kingdom of God is as if a man should cast seed on the earth,

²⁷रतिया मँ सोवइ अउर दिनवा मँ जागइ। बिया अँखुवाइ, इ सबइ बाढ़ई। उ जानत नाहीं, इ कइसे होत अहइ।

²⁷ and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn’t know how.

²⁸भुइँया खुदइ दाना उ पजाइ देत ह। पहिले अँखुवा, तब बाले फि बाले मँ समुचइ दाना।

²⁸ For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.

²⁹जब दनवा पकि जात ह, तबहिं फउरन हसुआ काटइ बरे धरत ह। एह बरे कि फसल काटइ क अहइ।”

²⁹ But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

³⁰फिन ईसू कहेस, “मइँ कउने तरह बताई कि परमेस्सर क राज्य अइसे अहइ? मइँ ओका समझावइ क बरे कउन स दिस्टान्त बइपरी?

³⁰He said, “How will we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what parable will we illustrate it?

³¹उ सरसों क दाना क नाईं अइसा अहइ। इ सबते छोट अहइ जब तू भुइँया मँ बोवत ह।

³¹ It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth,

³²जबहिं तू ऍका रोपि देत ह, इ बाढ़ छोड़िके बगिया क पउधन मँ सब ते बड़वार होइ जात ह। ऍहमाँ बड़ी बड़ी डारि आवत हीं। ऍसे चिरिया आपन घोंसला छाया मँ बइठइ बरे बनावत हीं।”

³² yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”

³³एकरे तरह ढेर ठु दिस्टान्त स उ उपदेस दिहेस, जेतना उ पचे समझि सकत रहेन।

³³With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.

³⁴ईसू उनसे बगइर दिस्टान्त क कछू नाहीं कहेस। मुला जब उ अकेल्ॅला मँ आपन चेलन क संग अकेल्ला होत, उ सब बातन ओनसे खोलिके समुझाएस।

³⁴Without a parable he didn’t speak to them; but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.

³⁵उ दिन जब सांझ भइ, ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “मोरे साथ झिलिया क ओह पार आवा।”

³⁵On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”

³⁶जइसेन ईसू अउर ओकर चेलन भिरिया क छोड़ि दिहन अउर जउनी हालत मँ ईसू रहा, बइसेन ओहका चेलन नाउ मँ लइ चलेन। हुवाँ दूसर नाउन ओकरे संग रही।

³⁶Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him.

³⁷एक ठु भारी बौंड़र आवा अउर लहरन नाउन क धकियावत अउर नाउ क भीतर आवत रहीं। ऍसे ओहमाँ पानी भरि जाइवाला रहा।

³⁷A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.

³⁸लेकिन ईसू नाउ क पाछे भाग मँ तकिया लगाइ क सोवत रहा। चेलन ओका जगाइन अउर ओसे कहेन, “हे गुरु, का तोहका धियान नाहीं बा कि हम पचे बूड़त अही।”

³⁸He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”

³⁹तबहिं ईसू जागा अउर हवा क फटकारेस अउर लहरन स कहेस, “सान्त! थमि जा!” तइसे बौंड़र पटाइ गवा अउर खूबइ सान्ति आइ गइ।

³⁹He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

⁴⁰फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू काहे डेरात बाट्या? अब तलक तोहका बिसवास नाहीं भवा?”

⁴⁰He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”

⁴¹मुला उ पचे बहोतइ डराइ गएन अउर उ पचे आपस मँ एक दूसर स कहइ लागेन, “आखिर इ अहइ कउन बा कि आँधि अउर पानी ओकर हुकुम मानत हीं।”

⁴¹They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
