¹उहइ दिन ईसू उ घरवा क छोड़िके झिलिया क किनारे उपदेस देइ जाइ बइठा।

¹On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.

²बहोत मिला ओकरे चारिउँ कइँती ऍकट्ठा होइ गएन। तउ एक दिन उ नाउ प चढ़िके बइठि गवा। अउ भीड़ किनारे खड़ी रही।

²Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.

³उ ओनका दिस्टान्त क सहारा लेत भवा बहोत सी बात बताएस। उ कहेस, “एक किसान बिआ बोअइ निकरा।

³He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.

⁴उ जब बोआई करत रहा तउ कछू बिआ राहे क किनारे जाइ गिरेन। चिड़ियन आइन अउर चुन गइन।

⁴ As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.

⁵तनिक बिआ चट्टान क धरती प जाइ गिरेन। हुआँ क माटी उथली रही। बिआ फउरन उगेन, काहेकि माटी गहिर नाहीं रही।

⁵ Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.

⁶यह बरे जइसे सूरज निकरा तउ उ पउधन झुराइ गएन। अउर काहेकि उ सबइ जिआदा जर पकड़े नाहीं रहेन एह बरे झुराइके गिर गएन।

⁶ When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.

⁷बिआ क एक हींसा कँटहरी झाड़िन मँ जाइ गिरा, झाड़िन बाढ़िन, अउर उ सबइ उ पउधन क दहबोच लिहेन।

⁷ Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.

⁸मुला थोड़ा बिआ जउन बढ़िया धरती प गिरा रहेन, बढ़िया फसल देइ लागेन। फसल, जेतना बोइ ग रही, ओसे कउनो तीस गुनी, साठ गुनी, या सौ गुनी स भी जिआदा भई।

⁸ Others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

⁹जउन सुन सकत ह, उ सुनि लेई!’

⁹ He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

¹⁰फिन ईसू क चेलन ओकॅरे लगे जाइके पूछेन, “तू ओनसे बात करत भए दिस्टान्त कथा क प्रयोग काहे करत ह”

¹⁰The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”

¹¹जवाबे मँ उ ओनसे कहेस, “सरगे क राज्य क भेद क जानइ क अधिकार सिरिफ तोहका दीन्ह ग अहइ, ओनका नाहीं।

¹¹He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

¹²काहेकि जेकरे लगे थोड़ा बहोत बाटइ, ओका अउर भी दीन्ह जाई अउर ओकरे लगे ढेर होइ जाई। मुला जेकरे लगे कछू भी नाहीं अहइ, ओहसे जेतना स ओकरे लगे बाटइ, उ भी छोर लीन्ह जाइ।

¹² For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

¹³एह बरे मइँ ओनसे दिस्टान्त कथा क प्रयोग करत कहत हउँ। काहेकि अगर उ सबइ निहारत हीं मुला असल मँ ओनका कछू देखॉई नाहीं देत, उ पचे अगर सुनत हीं, मुला असल मँ उ सबइ न सुनत हीं, न समझत हीं।

¹³ Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.

¹⁴इ तरह ओन प यसायाह की भविस्सबाणी खरी उतरत ही : ‘तू सुनब्या अउर सुनतइ ही रह्ब्या मुला तोहरे कछू भी समुझ न आई तू लखत ह, बस देखतइ ही रह्ब्या मुला तोहका तउ कछू सूझ ना पाई,

¹⁴ In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:

¹⁵काहेकि ओनके अकिल प पाथर पड़ा हइ सबइ आपन कान मूँद लिहेन, अउर आँखी बंद कई राखी अहइँ जेसे आपन आँखिन स उ सबइ कछू न निहारइँ अउर उ सबइ कनवा स कछू सुनि न पावइँ या आपन हिरदय स कबहुँ बूझइँ अउ मुड़िकइ कबहुँ मोरी कइँती आवइँ अउर जेसे मइँ ओनका उद्धार करउँ।’ यसायाह 6:9-10

¹⁵ for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and should turn again; and I would heal them.’ Isaiah 6:9-10

¹⁶मुला तोहार आँखी अउर कान धन्य अहइँ काहेकि उ सबइ देख सुन सकत हीं।

¹⁶ “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

¹⁷मइँ सच कहत हउँ बहोतन नबियन अउर धर्मी जउन बातन क देखइ चाहत रहेन, ओनका तू देखत अहा। उ पचे ओनका नाहीं देखि सकतेन। अउ जउन बातन क उ सबइ सुनइ चाहत रहेन, ओनका तू सुनत बाट्या। उ सबइ ओनका नाहीं सुन सकेन।

¹⁷ For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.

¹⁸“तउ बिआ बोअइ क दिस्टान्त क अरथ सुन ल्या।

¹⁸ “Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.

¹⁹उ बिआ जउन राह क किनारे गिर गवा रहा, ओकर अरथ अहइ कि जबहिं कउनो सरगे क राज्य क उपदेस सुनावत ह अउर समझत नाहीं तउ दुस्ट आइके, ओकरे मनवा मँ जउन उगा रहा, उखाड़ लइ जात ह।

¹⁹ When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.

²⁰उ सबइ बिआ जउन पथरही धरती प छितराइ ग रहेन, ओकर अरथ अहइ उ मनई जउन उपदेस सुनत ह, ओका खुसी होइके फउरन अपनावत ह

²⁰ What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;

²¹मुला आपन भीतर ओनकइ जड़ नाहीं जमइ देत, उ तनिक देर ठहर पावत ह, जब उपदेस क कारण ओह प कस्ट अउर यातना आवत हीं तउ उ फउरन डगमगाइ जात ह।

²¹ yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

²²कँटवन मँ छितराइ गवा बिआ क मतलब अहइ, उ मनई जउन उपदेस क तउ सुनत ह, मुला संसार क फिकिर अउर, धन क लालच उपदेस क दहबोच लेत ह अउर उ मनई सफल नाहीं होइ पावत।

²² What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

²³नीक धरती प छितरान बिआ क अरथ अहइ उ मनई जउन उपदेस क सुनत ह अउर समझत ह। उ सफल होत ह। ओकर सफलता तीस गुनी, साठ गुनी या सौ गुनी तक होत ह।” गोहूँ अउर खरपतवारे क दिस्टान्त

²³ What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”

²⁴ईसू ओनके समन्वा एकठू अउर दिस्टान्त कथा राखेस, “सरगे क राज्य उ मनई क नाईं अहइ जउन आपन खेतवा मँ नीक बिआ बोएस।

²⁴He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,

²⁵मुला जब मनइयन सोवत रहेन, उ मनई क दुस्मन आवा अउर गोहूँ क बीचउबीच खरपतवार बोइ गवा।

²⁵ but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds darnel is a weed grass (probably bearded darnel or lolium temulentum) that looks very much like wheat until it is mature, when the difference becomes very apparent. also among the wheat, and went away.

²⁶जइसे गोहूँ अँखुवान अउर ओह प बालन आइन तउ खरपतवार देखाइ लाग।

²⁶ But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.

²⁷तइसेन खेते क मालिक क लगे आइके ओकर नउकरन ओसे कहेन, ‘मालिक, तू तउ खेतवा मँ बढ़िया बिआ बोए रहा, बोए रह्या न? फिन ई खरपतवार कहाँ ते आइ गवा?’

²⁷ The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?’

²⁸“तब उ ओनसे कहेस, ‘इ कउनो दुस्मने क काम अहइ।’ “ओकर नउकरन ओसे पूछेन, ‘का तू चाहत ह कि हम सबइ जाइके खरपतवार उखाड़ देइ?’

²⁸ “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

²⁹“उ बोला, ‘नाहीं काहेकि जब तू खरपतवार उखड़ब्या तउ ओनके संग तू गोहूँ भी उखाड़ देब्या।

²⁹ “But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

³⁰जब ताईं फसल पाकइ, दुइनउँ क साथ साथ बाढ़इ द्या, फिन कटनी क समइ फसल क कटइयान स कहब कि पहिले खरपतबारे क गट्ठर बनाइके ओनका जराइ द्या अउर गोहूँ बटोरिके मोरे खरिहाने मँ धइ द्या।”‘

³⁰ Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

³¹ईसू ओनके समन्वा अउर दिस्टान्त कथन्क राखेस: “सरग क राज्य राई क बिआ क छोटवार बिआ क नाईं अहइ, जेका कउनो लइके खेते मँ बोई दिहे होय।

³¹He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field;

³²ई बिआ नान्ह स नान्ह होत ह मुला बड़वार होए प इ बगिया क सबइ पउधन स बड़वार होइ जात ह। इ पेड़ बनत ह अउर अकासे क पंछी आइके ऍकर डारन प सरन लेत हीं।”

³² which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”

³³ईसू ओनका एक दिस्टान्त कथा अउ कहेस, “सरगे क राज्य खमीर क नाई अहइ, जेका जउनो स्त्री तीन अढ़इया आटा मँ मिलाएस अउर तब ताई ओका राखि दिहेस जब तलक उ सबइ क सबइ खमीर नाहीं भवा।”

³³He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel of meal, until it was all leavened.”

³⁴ईसू लोगन्स सब कछू दिस्टान्त कथन स बताएस। असिल मँ उ ओनसे दिस्टान्त कथा क बिना कछू नाहीं कहत रहा।

³⁴Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,

³⁵अइसा एह बरे भवा कि परमेस्सर नबी स जउन कछू कहवाए रहा पूरा होइ जाइ: परमेस्सर कहेस, “मइँ दिस्टांत कथन स आपन मुँहना खोलिहउँ। सृस्टि क सुरू स जउन बात छुपी रहिन, ओनका परगट करब।’ भजन संहिता 78:2

³⁵that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.” Psalm 78:2

³⁶फिन ईसू उ भीड़ क बिदा कइके घर आइ गवा। तब्बइ ओकर चेलन आइके ओसे कहेन, “खेते क खरपतवार क दिस्टान्त क अरथ हमका समझाइ द्या।”

³⁶Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”

³⁷जवाबे मँ ईसू बोला, “जउन उत्तिम बिआ बोए रहा, उ अहइ मनई क पूत।

³⁷He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,

³⁸अउर खेत इ संसार अहइ। नीक बिआ क अरथ अहइ, सरगे क राज्य क मनई। खरपतवार क अरथ अहइ, दुस्ट (सइतान) क संतान।

³⁸ the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.

³⁹उ दुस्मन जउन खरपतवारे क बोएस, सइतान अहइ, अउर कटनी क समइ अहइ, इ संसार क अंत अउर कटइया अहइँ परमेस्सर क दूतन।

³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.

⁴⁰“तउ ठीक उहइ जइसे खरपतवारे क ऍकट्ठा कइके आगी मँ जराइ दीन्ह ग, वइसे ही संसार क अंत होई।

⁴⁰ As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

⁴¹मनई क पूत आपन दूतन क पठइ अउर उ सबइ ओनके राज्य स सबइ पापिन क अउ ओनक जउन पाप बरे मनइयन क भड़कावत हीं,

⁴¹ The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,

⁴²ऍकट्ठा कइके धधकत भट्ठी मँ झोक देइहीं जहाँ बस दाँतन क पीसब अउर रोउब ही रोउब होई।

⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

⁴³तब धर्मी आपन परमपिता क राज्य मँ सूरज क नाई चमकिहीं। जउन सुनि सकत ह, सुनि लेइ।

⁴³ Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

⁴⁴“सरग क राज्य खेत मँ गड़ा भवा खजाना क नाईं अहइ, जेका कउनो मनई पाएस अउर फिन ओका हुवँई गाड़ दिहेस। उ ऍतना खुस भवा कि ओकरे लगे जउन कछू रहा उ ओका बेंच दिहस अउर उ खेत बेसहि लिहस।

⁴⁴ “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

⁴⁵“सरग क राज्य एक अइसे बेवपारी क नाईं अहइ कि जउन बढ़िया मोती क खोज मँ होइ।

⁴⁵ “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,

⁴⁶जइसेन ओका एक अनमोल मोती मिला तउ जाइके जउन कछू ओकरे पास रहा, उ बेंच डाएस अउर मोती वेसहि लिहस।

⁴⁶ who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

⁴⁷“सरगे क राज्य मछरी पकड़इ बरे झीले मँ फेंक गवा जाल क नाईं भी अहइ। जेहमाँ किसिम किसिम क मछरी पकड़ लीन्ह गइन।

⁴⁷ “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind,

⁴⁸जब उ जाले मँ मछरी मुचामुच भरि गइन तउ किनारे ओका हींच लीन्ह गवा अउर हुवाँ बैठिके नीक मछरी छाँटिके टोकरिन मँ भरि लीन्ह गइन मुला बेकार मछरी फेंकि दीन्ह गइन।

⁴⁸ which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.

⁴⁹सृस्टि क अंत मँ अइसे ही होई। सरगदूतन अइहीं अउर धर्मियन मँ स दुस्ट मनइयन क छाँटिके

⁴⁹ So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

⁵⁰धधकत भट्ठी मँ झोकि देइहीं। हुवाँ बस रोउब अउर दाँत पीसब होई।”

⁵⁰ and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”

⁵¹ईसू आपन चेलन स पूछेस, “का तू सबइ इ बातन क समझत ह” उ पचे जबाव दिहन, “हाँ।”

⁵¹Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”

⁵²फिन उ ओनसे कहेस, “देखा, एह बरे हर धरम सास्तरी जउन सरग क राज्य क जानत ह, एक अइसे ग्रिहस्त क नाई अहइ, जउन आपन बखरी स नई पुरानी चीजन्क बाहेर निकारत ह।”

⁵²He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

⁵³इ सबन दिस्टान्त कथा क पूरा कइके उ हुवाँ स चला गवा।

⁵³It happened that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.

⁵⁴अउर आपन देस आइ गवा। फिन उ आराधनालय मँ उपदेस देब सुरू करेस। ऍसे हर कउनो अचरजे मँ पड़िके कहइ लाग, “ऍका अइसी सूझबूझ अउर अद्भुत कारजन क सक्ती कहाँ त मिल गइ?

⁵⁴Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works?

⁵⁵का इ उहई बढ़ई क बेटवा नाहीं अहइ? का ऍकर महतारी क नाउँ मरियम नाहीं अहइ? याकूब, यूसुफ, समौन अउर यहूदा इहई क भाई अहइँ न?

⁵⁵Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas or, Judah ?

⁵⁶ऍकर सबहिं बहिनियन हमरे बीच मँ नाहीं अहइँ? तउ फिन ओका इ सब कहाँ त मिली गवा?”

⁵⁶Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”

⁵⁷तउ उ सबइ ओका मानेन नाहीं। फिन ईसू कहेस, “कउनो नबी इ आपन गाँव अउर घरवा क छाँड़िके, सब मनइयन इज्जत करत हीं।”

⁵⁷They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.”

⁵⁸तउ ओनके बिसवास न होइके कारण उ हुवाँ जिआदा अद्भुत कारजन नाहीं किहेस।

⁵⁸He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
