¹छः दिना पाछे ईसू, पतरस, याकूब अउर ओकर भाई यूहन्ना क संग लइके अकेॅल्ले मँ उँचके पहाड़े प गवा।

¹After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.

²हुवाँ ओनके समन्वा ओकर रूप बदल गवा। ओकर मुँहना सूरज क नाई चमचमाइ लाग अउर ओढ़ना अइसे दमकइ लागेन जइसे रोसनी।

²He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.

³फिन एकाएक ओनके समन्वा मूसा अउर एलिय्याह परगट गएन अउर ईसू स बतियाइ लागेन।

³Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.

⁴इ लखिके पतरस ईसू स बोला, “पर्भू नीक बाटइ कि हम हियाँ अही। अगर तू चाहा तउ मइँ हियाँ तीन तम्बू बनाइ देई एक ठू तोहरे बरे, एक मूसा बरे अउर एक एलिय्याह क।”

⁴Peter answered, and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

⁵पतरस अबहिं बात करत रहा कि चमचमात बादर आइके ओका ढाकि लिहेस अउर बदरे स अकासबाणी भइ, “इ मोर पिआरा पूत अहइ। जैसे मइँ खूब खुस हउँ। एकर सुना!”

⁵While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

⁶जब चेलन इ सुनेन तउ उ सबइ ऍतना ससाइ गएन कि धरती प मुँहना उलटि के गिरि गएन।

⁶When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.

⁷तबहिं ईसू ओनके लगे गवा अउर ओनका छुअत भवा बोला, “डेराअ जिन, खड़ा ह्वा।”

⁷Jesus came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”

⁸जब उ पचे आँखी क ऊपर करेन तउ हुआँ कहूँ अउर का नाहीं बरन ईसू क पाएन।

⁸Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.

⁹जब उ सबइ पहाड़े स उतरत रहेन तउ ईसू ओनका हुकुम दिहेस, “जउन कछू तू देख्या ह, तब ताईं कउनो क जिन बतावा जब ताईं मनई क पूत क मरा भवा मँ स फिन जी न जाइ।”

⁹As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”

¹⁰फिन ओकर चेलन ओसे पूछेन, “धरम सास्तिरियन फिन काहे कहत हीं कि एलिय्याह क पहिले तू आउब तय अहइ?”

¹⁰His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

¹¹जवाब देत भवा ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “एलिय्याह आवत अहइ, उ हर चीज क तरकीबे स ठीक कइ देइ।

¹¹Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things,

¹²मुला मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ कि एलिय्याह जउन अब तलक आइ चुका अहइ। मुला मनइयन ओका पहिचानेन नाहीं। अउर ओकरे संग जइसा चाहेन वइसा किहेन। ओनके जरिए मनई क पूत क भी वइसे ही सतावइ जाइवाला अहइ।”

¹² but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”

¹³तबहिं ओकर चेलन समुझ पाएन कि उ ओनसे बपतिस्मा क देवइया यूहन्ना क बारे मँ कहे रहा।

¹³Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer.

¹⁴जब ईसू भीड़ मँ वापस आइ गवा तउ एक मनई ओकरे पास आवा। अउर ओका दंडवत कइके

¹⁴When they came to the multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to him, saying,

¹⁵बोला, “हे पर्भू, मोरे बेटवा प दाया करा। ओका मिर्गी आवत ह। उ बहोत तड़फड़ात ह। उ आगी या पानी मँ अक्सर गिरि पड़त ह।

¹⁵“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic, and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

¹⁶मइँ ओका तोहरे चेलन क लगे लइ आवा, मुला उ सबइ ओका चंगा नाहीं कइ पाएन।”

¹⁶So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.”

¹⁷जवाबे मँ ईसू कहेस, “अरे भटका भवा अबिसवासी मनइयन! मइँ केतॅना समइ तोहरे संग अउर रहब? केतॅना समइ मइँ अइसे ही तोहार सहब जात रहब? ओका हियाँ मोरे लगे लिआवा।”

¹⁷Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me.”

¹⁸फिन ईसू दुस्ट आतिमा क हुकुम दिहेस अउर उ ओहमा स बाहेर निकर आइ अउ उ लरिका फउरन नीक होई गवा।

¹⁸Jesus rebuked him, the demon went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.

¹⁹फिन ओकर चेलन अकेॅल्ले मँ ईसू क लगे जाइ क पूछेन, “हम इ दुस्ट आतिमा क काहे नाहीं निकार पाए?”

¹⁹Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why weren’t we able to cast it out?”

²⁰ईसू ओनका बताएस, “काहेकि तोहमाँ बिसवास क कमी अहइ। मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ, जदि तोहमाँ सरसों क बिया जेतॅना बिसवास अहइ तउ तू इ पर्वत स कहि सकत ह, ‘हियाँ स हटि के हुवाँ चल जा’ अउर उ चला जाई। तोहरे बरे असंभव कछू भी नाहीं होई।”

²⁰He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

²¹अइसी दुस्ट आतिमा सिरिफ पराथना अउ उपवास करइ स निकरत ह।’

²¹ But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”

²²जब ईसू क चेलन आएन अउर गलील मँ ओकरे साथ मिलेन तउ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “मनई क पूत, मनइयन क जरिये पकड़वाइ जाइवाला अहइ,

²²While they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,

²³अउर उ ओका मार डइहीं। मुला तीसरे दिना उ फिन जी जाई।” ऍह प ईसू क चेलन बहोत बिआकुल होइ गएन।

²³ and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.” They were exceedingly sorry.

²⁴जब ईसू अउर ओकर चेलन कफरनहूम मँ आएन तउ मन्दिर क दुइ दरम क चुंगी उगहिया वालेन पतरस क लगे आएन अउर बोलेन, “का तोहार गुरु दुइ दरम क मन्दिर क चुंगी नाहीं देत?”

²⁴When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins A didrachma is a Greek silver coin worth 2 drachmas, about as much as 2 Roman denarii, or about 2 days’ wages. It was commonly used to pay the half-shekel temple tax, because 2 drachmas were worth one half shekel of silver. came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the didrachma?”

²⁵पतरस जबाव दिहस, “हाँ, उ देत ह।” अउर उ घरवा मँ आवा जहाँ ईसू रहा। पतरस क बोलइ स पहिले ईसू बोल उठा, “समौन, तोहार का बिचार अहइ? धरती क राजा केहसे चुंगी लेत हीं? खुद अपने बचवन स, या दूसर क बचवन स?”

²⁵He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”

²⁶पतरस जबाव दिहस, “बाहिर क मनइयन स।” तबहिं ईसू ओसे कहेस, “यानी ओकरे आपन बचवन क छूट मिलत ह।

²⁶Peter said to him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Therefore the children are exempt.

²⁷मुला हम पचे ओन मनइयन क कोहाय न देइ। एह बरे झिलिया प जा अउर आपन कटिया फेंक द्या अउर फिन जउन मछरी धरे मँ आइ जाइ ओकर मुँहना खोल द्या। तोहका चारि दरम क सिक्का मिली। ओका लइके मोरे अउ आपन बरे ओनका दइ दिहा।”

²⁷ But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. A stater is a silver coin equivalent to four Attic or two Alexandrian drachmas, or a Jewish shekel: just exactly enough to cover the half-shekel temple tax for two people. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
