¹एक दाई फिन ईसू ओनसे दिस्टान्त कथन क कहइ लाग। उ बोला,

¹Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,

²“सरगे क राज्य उ राजा क नाईं अहइ जउन आपन बेटवा क बियाहे प भोज दिहेस।

² “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,

³राजा आपन नउकरन क पठएस कि उ पचे ओन मनइयन क बोलाइ लियावईं जेका बियाहे क भोज प न्यौता दीन्ह गवा रहा। मुला उ पचे नाहीं आएन।

³ and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.

⁴“उ आपन नउकरन क फिन पठएस, उ कहेस कि जउन मनइयन क बियाह क भोजे प बोलावा गवा ह, ओनसे कहि द्या, ‘देखा मोर भोज तइयार बा। मोर सॉड़ अउर मोटवार ताजा पसू क काटा जाइ चुका बाटइ। सब कछू तइयार अहइ। बियाहे क भोज मँ आइ जा।’

⁴ Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’

⁵“मुला न्यौतहरी ओह प कउनो धियान नाहीं दिहेन अउर उ सबइ चले गएन। कउनो आपन खेत मँ काम करइ चला गवा तउ दूसर मिला आपन आपन काम धंधा प।

⁵ But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,

⁶अउ कछू मिला तउ राजा क नउकरन क धइके ओकरे साथे मार-पीट किहेन अउ ओनका मार डाएन।

⁶ and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.

⁷तउ राजा कोहाइके आपन फउज पठएस। उ सबइ ओन हत्यारन क मउत क घाटे पहुँचाइ दिहस अउर ओनके सहर मँ आगी बार दिहेन।

⁷ When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.

⁸“फिन राजा क नउकरन स कहेस, “बियाह क भोज तइयार बाटइ मुला जेकॉ बोलॉई गवा रहा, उ सबइ अजोग्ग माना गएन,

⁸ “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.

⁹एह बरे गलियन क नोक्कड़ प जा अउर तू जेका पावा, बियाहे क भोज प बोलॉई लिआवा।’

⁹ Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’

¹⁰फिन नउकरन गलियन मँ गएन अउ जउन भी भला अउर बुरा मनई भेंटेन उ पचे ओनका बटोरि लियाएन। अउ सादी क महल मेहमानन स भरि गवा।

¹⁰ Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.

¹¹“मुला जब जेवन्हार क लखइ राजा आवा तउ हुवाँ उ एक अइसा मनई क निहारेस जउन बियाहे क ओढ़ना नाहीं पहिरे रहा।

¹¹ But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,

¹²राजा ओसे कहेस, “मितउ, बियाहे क वस्तर पहिरे बिना हियाँ भीतर कइसे आइ गया?’ पर उ मनई खमोस रहा।

¹² and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

¹³ऍह प राजा आपन नउकरन स कहेस, ‘ऍकर हाथ गोड़ छाँदिके बाहेर अँधियारे मँ नाइ द्या। जहाँ मनई रोवत अउर दँतवा कटकटावत होइहीं।’

¹³ Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’

¹⁴“काहेकि बोलावा तउ बहोत गवा अहइँ मुला चुना भवा थोड़के अहइँ।”

¹⁴ For many are called, but few chosen.”

¹⁵तब फरीसियन जाइके एक सभा बोलॉएन जेसेे उ इ बात क फरियाइ सकइँ कि ईसू क ओकरे आपन ही कही भई बात मँ कइसे फँसावइ।

¹⁵Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.

¹⁶उ पचे अपने चेलन क हिरोदियन क संग ओकरे लगे पठएन, उ मनइयन ईसू स कहेन, “गुरु हम जानत अही कि तू सच्चा अहा। तू सचमुच परमेस्सर क राहे क सिच्छा देत अहा। अउर तू, कउनो का सोचत ह, ऍकइ चिंता नाहीं करत्या काहेकि तू कउनो मनई क हैसियत प नाहीं जात्या।

¹⁶They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone.

¹⁷तउ हमका बतावा तोहार का बिचार बा कि सम्राट कैसर क चुंगी चुकाउब ठीक अहइ कि नाहीं?”

¹⁷Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

¹⁸ईसू ओनकइ बुरा बिचार क समुझ गवा, तउ उ बोला, “अरे कपटियो! तू पचे मोका काहे परखब चाहत बाट्या?

¹⁸But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?

¹⁹मोका कउनो दीनार देखावा जेसे तू चुंगी अदा करत ह।” तउ सबइ ओकरे लगे एक दीनार लइ आएन।

¹⁹ Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.

²⁰तब उ ओनसे कहेस, “ऍह प केकर मूरत अउर लिखाई खुदी बा?”

²⁰He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”

²¹उ पचइ ओसे कहेन, “कैसर क”। तब उ ओनसे कहेस, “अच्छा तउ फिन जउन कैसर क अहइ, ओका कैसर क द्या, अउर जउन परमेस्सर क अहइ, ओका परमेस्सर क।”

²¹They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

²²इ सुनिके उ पचइ अचरजे स भरि गएन अउर ओका छोड़िके चला गएन।

²²When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.

²³उहइ दिन कछू सदूकियन जउन पुनरुत्थान क नाहीं मनतेन, ओकरे लगे आएन।

²³On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

²⁴अउ ओसे पूछेन, “गुरु, मूसा क उपदेस क अनुसार जदि बिना बे बाल बच्चा क कउनो मरि जाइ तउ ओकर भाई, निचके क नातेदार होइ क नाते ओकरे विधवा स बियाह करइ अउर आपन भाई क बंस चलावइ बरे संतान पइदा करइ।

²⁴saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’

²⁵अब मानल्या हम पचे सात ठु भाई अही। पहिलौठा बेटवा का बियाह भवा अउर पाछे ओकर मउत होइ गइ। फिन काहेकि ओकरे कउनो संतान नाहीं भइ, यह बरे ओकर भाई आपन भउजी क आपन पत्नी बनइ लिहस।

²⁵Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.

²⁶तब दुसर का भाई मरि गवा। उहइ घटना तिसरेक क संग भइ। जब तलक सातहु भाइयन मरि नाहीं गएन वइसन भवा।

²⁶In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.

²⁷अउर सब क पाछे उ स्त्री भी मर गई।

²⁷After them all, the woman died.

²⁸अब हमार पूछब इ अहइ कि पुनरुत्थान मँ ओन सातउ मँ स कउने क पत्नी होई काहेकि सातउ ओका आपन बनाएन?”

²⁸In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”

²⁹जवाब देत ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू बगद गया काहेकि तू पचे पवित्तर सास्तरन अउर परमेस्सर क सक्ती क नाहीं जनत्या।

²⁹But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

³⁰तोहका समझइ चाही कि पुनरुत्थान मँ लोग न तउ बियाह करिहीं अउर न ही कउनो सादी मँ दीन्ह जाई। मुला उ पचे सरगे क दूतन क नाईं होइहीं।

³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.

³¹इहइ सिलसिला मँ तोहरे फायदा बरे परमेस्सर मरा भवा क पुनरुत्थान क बारे मँ जउन कहेस ह, का तू कबहुँ नाहीं पढ्या? उ कहे रहा,

³¹ But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

³²‘मइँ इब्राहीम क परमेस्सर हउँ, इसहाक क परमेस्सर हउँ अउर याकूब क परमेस्सर हउँ।’ उ मरा हुअन क नाहीं मुला जिन्दा क परमेस्सर अहइ।”

³² ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ Exodus 3:6 God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

³³जब मनइयन इ सुनेन तउ ओकरे उपदेस प उ सबइ बहोत अचम्भा मँ पड़ि गएन।

³³When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

³⁴जब फरीसियन इ सुनेन कि ईसू आपन जवाबे स सदूकियन क चुप कराइ दिहस तब उ सबइ ऍकट्ठा भएन।

³⁴But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.

³⁵ओहमाँ क एक फरीसी ईसू क परीच्छा क बिचार स ओसे पूछेन,

³⁵One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

³⁶“गुरु, व्यवस्था मँ सबन ते बड़का हुकुम कउन स बाटइ?”

³⁶“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”

³⁷ईसू ओसे कहेस, “तोहका आपन सारे मनवा स, सारी आतिमा स अउर सारी बुद्धि स आपन परमेस्सर पर्भू क पिरेम करइ चाही।’

³⁷Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Deuteronomy 6:5

³⁸इ सब ते पहिला अउर सब ते बड़ा हुकुम अहइ।

³⁸ This is the first and great commandment.

³⁹फिन अइसा ही दूसर हुकुम इ अहइ: ‘आपन पड़ोसी स वइसा ही पिरेम करा जइसा तू अपने स खुद करत ह।’

³⁹ A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Leviticus 19:18

⁴⁰सारी व्यवस्था अउर नबियन क किताबन इन दुइनउँ हुकुमन प टिका बाटइ।”

⁴⁰ The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

⁴¹जब फरीसियन अबहीं एकट्ठा ही रहेन, कि ईसू ओनसे एक ठु प्रस्न पूछेस,

⁴¹Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,

⁴²“मसीह क बारे मँ तू का बिचारत ह कि उ केकर बेटवा अहइ?” उ फरीसियन ओसे कहेन, “मसीह दाऊद क पूत ह।”

⁴²saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”

⁴³ईसू ओसे पूछेस, “फिन आतिमा क बसे मँ होइके दाऊद ओका ‘पर्भू’ कहत इ काहे कहेस:

⁴³He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

⁴⁴‘पर्भू मोरे पर्भू (ईसू) स कहेस, मोरे दाहिन बइठिके राज्य करा जब ताई कि मइँ दुस्मनन क तोहरे गोड़वा तले न कइ देउँ।’ भजन संहिता 110:1

⁴⁴ ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’ Psalm 110:1

⁴⁵फिन जब दाऊद ओका ‘पर्भू’ कहेस तउ उ ओकर बेटवा कइसे होइ सकत ह”

⁴⁵ “If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

⁴⁶जवाबे मँ कउनो भी ओसे कछू नाहीं कहि पावा। अउर न ही उ दिना क पाछे कउनो क ओसे पूछइ क हिम्मत भवा।

⁴⁶No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
