¹“होसियार रहा! अउ परमेस्सर चाहत ह कि उ सब काम काजन्क मनई क समन्वा दिखावा जिन करा। नाहीं तउ तू आपन परमपिता स फल न पउब्या जउन सरगे मँ बाटइ।

¹ “Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

²“एह बरे जब तू कउनो दीन दुखिया क दान दच्छिना देत ह तउ ओकर ढिंढ़ोरवा पीटा जिन। जइसा कि आराधनालयन मँ अउर गलियन मँ कपटी मनई औरन स बड़कइ पावई बरे करत हीं। मइँ तोसे सच कहत हउँ कि ओनका तउ ऍकर पूर-पूर फल पहिले ही दीन्ह जाइ गवा अहइ।

² Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

³मुला जबहिं तू कउनो दीन दुखिया क देत ह तउ तोहार बावाँ हाथ न जान पावइ कि तोहार दाहिन हाथ का करत बाटइ?

³ But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,

⁴काहेकि तोहार दान गुपुत रहइ। तोहार उ परमपिता जउन छिपाइ क करत ह, तोहका ओकरे बदले मँ फल देई।

⁴ so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁵“जब तू पराथना करा तउ कपटी क नाईं जिन करा। काहेकि उ पचे आराधनालयन मँ अउर गलियन क नुक्कड़ प खड़ा होइ क पराथना करइ चाहत हीं जैसे मनइयन ओनका निहार सकइँ। मइँ तोसे सच सच कहत हउँ कि ओनका तउ ओकरे बदले मँ फल पहिले ही मिल चुका बाटइ।

⁵ “When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.

⁶मुला जब तू पराथना करा, आपन कोठरी मँ चला जा अउर फटकवा बंद कइके परमपिता स पराथना करा। फिन तोहार परमपिता जउन तोहार करम क छिपिके निहारत ह, तोहका ओनके बदले फल देई।

⁶ But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁷“जब तू पराथना करत रहा, तउ विधर्मी क नाईं फिजूल बातन क यों ही बार बार जिन दोहरावा। उ सबइ इ सोचत हीं कि ओनके बहोत बोले स ओनकइ सुनि लीन्ह जाइ।

⁷ In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.

⁸यह बरे ओनके जइसा जिन होइ जा काहेकि तोहरे परमपिता तोहारे माँगइ स पहिले जानत ह कि तोहार का जरूरत अहइ।

⁸ Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.

⁹यह बेर इ प्रकार पारथना करा: ‘सरग मँ रहइ वाले हमारे परमपिता, पवित्तर अहइ तोहार नाउँ

⁹ Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

¹⁰जग मँ तोहार राज्य आवइ जउन चाहा तू वइसे पूर होइ इ धरती प जइसे पूर होत रहता तोहार इच्छा सदा सरग मँ।

¹⁰ Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

¹¹आज तू हमका दिन भर क खइया द्या

¹¹ Give us today our daily bread.

¹²हमार पापन क छमा करा जइसे हम छमा कीन्ह आपन अपराधिनक।

¹² Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

¹³जिन ल्या कठिन परिच्छा भारी हमका ओसे बचावा जउ उन दुस्ट (सइतान) स अहइ।’

¹³ Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. NU omits “For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.” ’

¹⁴यह बरे जदि तू लोगन्क अपराधे क छमा करब्या तउ तोहार सरगे क परमपिता भी तोहरे पाप छमा करी।

¹⁴ “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹⁵मुला अगर तू लोगन्क छमा न करब्या तउ तोहार सरगे क परमपिता भी तोहरे पापन्क छमा न करी।

¹⁵ But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

¹⁶“जब तू उपवास राखा तउ कपटी क नाईं दुःखी मुँह बनाइके जिन रहा। काहेकि उ पचे तरह स मुह्रँ बिसवत हीं ताकि लोगन्क इ मालूम होइ जाइ कि उ सबइ उपवास करत अहइँ। मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ कि ओनका तउ बदले मँ फल मिलि चुका अहइ।

¹⁶ “Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

¹⁷मुला जब तू उपवास राखा तउ आपन मूँड़ प जैतून क तेल लगावा अउर आपन मुँहना धोवा।

¹⁷ But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

¹⁸जेसे लोग इ न भाँप सकइँ कि तू उपवास करत अहा। मुला तोहार परमपिता जेका तू निहार नाहीं सकत्या देखइ कि तू उपवास करत अहा। तबहिं तोहार परमपिता जउन तोहरे छमा भवा कामे क देखत रहत ह, उ तोहका ओकरे बदले मँ फल देई।

¹⁸ so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

¹⁹“आपन बरे धरती प भंडारा जिन भरा। काहेकि ओका किरवा अउर जंग नास कइ देइहीं। चोर सेंध लगइहीं अउर चोराय लइ जइहीं।

¹⁹ “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

²⁰बजाए एँकरे सरग मँ भंडारा भरा। हुवाँ किरवा अउर जंग नास न कइ पइहीं। अउर चोर भी हुवाँ सेंधिया लगाइके नास न कइ पइहीं।

²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;

²¹याद रखा जहाँ तोहार भंडार होई, हूँवई तोहार जिअरा लागी।

²¹ for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

²²“देह बरे प्रकास क सोत आँखी अहइ। एह बरे तोहार आँखी नीक अहइ तउ तोहार देह प्रकास करत रही।

²² “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.

²³मुला जदि तोहार आँखी खराब होइ जाइ तउ तोहार सब देह अँधियर होइ जाइ। यह बरे उ सिरिफ प्रकास जउन तोहरे भीतर अहइ जदि अँधियर होइ जाइ तउ उ केतना गहिर होई।

²³ But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

²⁴कउनो भी साथ साथ दुइ सुआमी क नउकर नाहीं होइ सकत काहेकि उ एक स तउ उ घिना करी अउर दूसर स पिरेम। या एक बरे उ न्यौछावर करी अउर दूसरे क धिक्कारी। तू धन अउर परमेस्सर दुइनउँ क सेवा नाहीं कइ पउब्या।

²⁴ “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

²⁵“यह बरे मइँ तोहसे सच कहत हउँ कि अपने जिअइ बरे खाइ पिअइ क चिंता तजि द्या। आपन तने क ओढ़ना क फिकिर जिन करा। सचमुच जिन्नगी खइया स अउर तने क ओढ़ना स जिआदा बड़कई क अहइ।

²⁵ Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

²⁶लखा! अकासे क पंच्छी न तउ बोआँई करत हीं अउर न कटाई, न ही उ पचे कोठिला मँ अनाज भरि देत हीं मुला तोहार स्वर्गीय पिता ओनकइ भी पेटवा भरत ह। का तू ओनसे जिआदा बड़कवा नाहीं बाट्या!?

²⁶ See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

²⁷तू सबन मँ का कउनो अइसा अहइ कि फिकिर कइके आपन जिन्नगी मँ एक घड़ी भी अउ बढ़ाइ सकत ह

²⁷ “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment literally, cubit to his lifespan?

²⁸“अउ तू आपन ओढ़ना क बारे मँ काहे सोचन ह सोचा, जंगले क फूलन क बारे मँ कि उ सबइ कइसे खिल जात हीं? उ सबइ न कउनो काम करत हीं अउर न आपन बरे ओढ़ना बनावत हीं।

²⁸ Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,

²⁹यह बरे मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ कि सुलैमान भी आपन समूची धन दौलत क संग ओहमा स कउनो एक नाईं नाहीं सज सका।

²⁹ yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.

³⁰तउ जउन जंगली पौधा जउन आज जिअत अहइँ मुला जेनका भियान भारे मँ झोंक दीन्ह जाब अहइ, परमेस्सर अइसा ओढ़ना पहिरावत ह तउ अल्प बिसवास क करवइया मनइयो! का उ तोहका अउर जिआदा बढ़िया ओढ़ना न पहिराई?

³⁰ But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

³¹यह बरे चिंता करत करत इ जिन कहा, ‘हम का खाबइ’ या ‘हम का पिअब’ या ‘का पहिरब?’

³¹ “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’

³²मनई जउन परमेस्सर क नाहीं जनतेन इ सब चीजन्क पाछे दौड़त रहत हीं मुला सरग क बसइया तोहार परमपिता जानत ह कि तोहका इ सब चीजन्क जरूरत अहइ।

³² For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

³³यह बरे सब ते पहिले परमेस्सर क राज्य अउर तोहसे जउन धरम की खोज उ चाहत ह, ओकर फिकिर करा। इ सब चीजन तउ तोहका खुद ही घेलइया मँ दइ दीन्ह जइहीं।

³³ But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

³⁴भियान क फिकिर जिन करा, काहेकि भियान क तउ अउर आपन चिंता होइहीं। हर दिन क आपन आपन परेसानी होत रहत ह।

³⁴ Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
