1Çareten bada Iaincoaren imitaçale haour maite anço:
1Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,
2Eta ebil çaitezte charitatean Christec-ere onhetsi vkan gaituen beçala, eta liuratu vkan baitrauca bere buruä guregatic oblatione eta sacrificio Iaincoari, vssain onezco vrrinetan
2and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
3Bada, paillardiça eta cithalqueria gucia, edo auaritiá aippa-ere eztadila çuen artean, nola appartenitzen baitzaye sainduey:
3But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints;
4Edo gauça deshonestic, edo hitz erhoric, edo burlaqueriaric, baitirade gauça vngui eztaudenac, baina aitzitic gratién rendatzeric.
4and filthiness and foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient; but rather thanksgiving.
5Ecen badaquiçue haur, ecen ecein ere paillartec, edo cithalec, edo auaritiosoc, cein baita idolatre, eztuela heretageric Christen eta Iaincoaren resumán.
5For this ye are [well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6Nehorc etzaitzatela hitz vanoz engana: ecen gauça haucgatic ethorten da Iaincoaren hirá desobedientiazco haourrén gainera.
6Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
7Etzaretela bada hequin parçonér.
7Be not ye therefore fellow-partakers with them;
8Ecen noizpait ilhumbe cineten, baina orain argui çarete gure Iaunean: arguizco haour anço ebil çaitezte:
8for ye were once darkness, but now light in [the] Lord; walk as children of light,
9(Ecen Spirituaren fructua consistitzen da ontassun eta iustitia eta eguia gucitan)
9(for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth,)
10Experimentatzen duçuelaric Iaunari placent çayona cer den.
10proving what is agreeable to the Lord;
11Eta ezteçaçuela communica ilhumbearen obra fructu gabetan, baina aitzitic reprehendi-ere itzaçue.
11and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove [them],
12Ecen heçaz ichilic eguiten diraden gaucén erraitea-ere deshonestate da.
12for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.
13Baina gauça guciac, camporatzen diradenean arguiaz, manifestatzen dirade: ecen gucia manifestatzen duena, arguia da.
13But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.
14Halacotz erraiten du, Iratzar adi lo atzaná, eta iaiqui adi hiletaric, eta arguituren au Christec.
14Wherefore he says, Wake up, [thou] that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.
15Gogoauçue bada nola çuhurqui ebil çaitezqueten, ez erho anço, baina çuhur anço:
15See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,
16Recrubatzen duçuelaric demborá: ecen egunac gaitz dirade.
16redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17Halacotz, etzaretela çuhurtzia gabe, baina aditzale ceric den Iaunaren vorondatea.
17For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what [is] the will of the Lord.
18Eta etzaiteztela hordi mahatsarnoz, ceinetan dissolutione baita: baina bethe çaitezte Spirituaz:
18And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,
19Minçatzen çaretela çuen artean psalmuz, laudorioz eta cantu spiritualez: cantatzen eta resonatzen draucaçuela Iaunari çuen bihotzean.
19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;
20Gratiac-ere rendatzen drautzaçuela bethiere gauça guciéz, Iesus Christ gure Iaunaren icenean, gure Iainco eta Aitari:
20giving thanks at all times for all things to him [who is] God and [the] Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
21Elkarren suiet çaretelaric Iaincoaren beldurrequin.
21submitting yourselves to one another in [the] fear of Christ.
22Emazteác, çuen senharrén çareten suiet, Iaunaren beçala:
22Wives, [submit yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23Ecen senharra da emaztearen buru, Christ-ere Eliçaren buru den beçala, eta hura da gorputzaren saluadorea.
23for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the assembly. *He* [is] Saviour of the body.
24Bada, nola Eliçá baita Christen suiet, hala emazteac-ere diraden bere senharrén suiet gauça gucietan.
24But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.
25Senharrác, çuen emaztey on erizteçue, Christec-ere Eliçari on eritzi draucan beçala, eta bere buruä eman vkan baitu harengatic:
25Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,
26Hura sanctifica leçançát, purificaturic vrezco ikutzez hitzaz.
26in order that he might sanctify it, purifying [it] by the washing of water by [the] word,
27Hura beretaco Eliça glorioso eguin leçançát, macularic ez cimurduraric gabe, ez halaco berce gauçaric: baina licén saindu eta irreprehensible.
27that *he* might present the assembly to himself glorious, having no spot, or wrinkle, or any of such things; but that it might be holy and blameless.
28Hala senharréc on eritzi behar drauece bere emaztey nola bere gorputzey: bere emazteari on daritzanac, bere buruäri on daritza.
28So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself.
29Ecen nehorc egundano bere haraguiari eztrauca gaitz eritzi: baina hatzen eta entretenitzen du hura, Iaunac-ere bere Eliçá beçala:
29For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:
30Ecen haren gorputzeco membro gara, haren haraguitic eta haren heçurretaric.
30for we are members of his body; [we are of his flesh, and of his bones.]
31Halacotz, vtziren ditu guiçonac aita eta ama eta iunctaturen çayó bere emazteari: eta biac haraguibat içanen dirade.
31Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
32Mysterio haur handia da: baina ni Christez minço naiz eta Eliçáz.
32This mystery is great, but *I* speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.
33Hunegatic, çuec-ere eguiçue çuen aldetic batbederac hala on daritzón bere emazteari nola bere buruäri: eta emaztea bere senharraren beldur biz.
33But *ye* also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife [I speak] that she may fear the husband.
