¹Nagatugon ako kanimo sa atubangan sa Dios, ug ni Cristo Jesus, nga magahukom sa mga buhi ug sa mga minatay sa lyang pagpadayag ug sa iyang gingharian:

¹I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

²Magwali ka sa pulong; magkugi ka sa panahon ug sa dili panahon; magbadlong ka; magsaway ka; magtambag ka uban sa bug-os nga pagkamapailubon ug pagpanudlo.

²Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

³Kay moabut ang panahon nga dili sila molahutay sa maayong pagtolon-an, kondili nga sa may mga dalunggan nga gikatlan, magatigum sila sa ilang kaugalingon ug mga magtutudlo uyon sa ilang mga kailibgon.

³For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

⁴Ug igapahilayo nila ang ilang mga dalunggan gikan sa kamatuoran, ug manghisalaag sila ngadto sa mga sugilanon lamang.

⁴And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

⁵Apan magbuotan ka sa tanang mga butang; antusa ang kalisdanan; buhata ang buhat sa usa ka evangelista, tumana ang imong pagkaministro.

⁵But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

⁶Kay ania na ginahalad ako, ug ang takna sa akong paggikan haduol na.

⁶For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

⁷Nakapakigbisug ako sa maayong pag-away; natapus ko ang akong paglumba, akong gibantayan ang pagtoo.

⁷I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

⁸Sukad karon natagana na kanako ang purongpurong sa pagkamatarung, nga igahatag kanako sa Ginoo, ang Maghuhukom nga matarung, niadtong adlawa; ug dili lamang kanako, kondili usab sa tanan nga nahigugma sa iyang pagpadayag.

⁸Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

⁹Magtinguha ka sa pag-anhi kanako samadali;

⁹Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

¹⁰Kay si Demas mibulag kanako tungod sa paghigugma niini nga panahona sa kalibutan, ug miadto sa Tesalonica; si Crecente ngadto sa Galacia, si Tito ngadto sa Dalmacia.

¹⁰For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

¹¹Si Lucas lamang ang ania kauban nako. Kuhaa si Marcos ug dad-a ngari kakuyog nimo; kay mapuslanon siya kanako alang sa ministerio.

¹⁵Magmatngon ka usab kaniya; kay misukol siya ug daku sa atong mga pulong.

¹⁵Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

¹⁶Sa akong nahaunang paglaban, walay bisan kinsa ako nga kauban; kondili gibiyaan ako sa tanan. Dili unta kana pagaisipon nga batok kanila.

¹⁶At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

¹⁷Apan ang Ginoo nag-uban kanako, ug nagpalig-on kanako, aron nga pinaagi kanako, ang pag-wali ikasangyaw gayud sa hingpit, ug magpakadungog ang tanang mga Gentil; ug giluwas ako gikan sa baba sa leon.

¹⁷Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁸ang Ginoo magagawas kanako gikan sa tanan nga dautang buhat, ug magaluwas kanako ngadto sa iyang gingharian nga langitnon. Kaniya ang himaya sa mga katuigan nga walay katapusan. Amen.

¹⁸And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²¹Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
