¹Ug sa ikapito ka tuig si Joiada nagpalig-on sa iyang kaugalingon, ug gipakuha ang mga capitan sa mga ginatus, si Azarias anak nga lalake ni Joram, ug si Ismael anak nga lalake ni Johanan, ug si Azarias anak nga lalake ni Obed, ug si Maasias anak nga lalake ni Adaias, ug si Elisaphat anak nga lalake ni Zichri, aron sa paghimo ug pakigsaad uban kaniya.

¹And in the seventh year hath Jehoiada strengthened himself, and taketh the heads of the hundreds, even Azariah son of Jeroham, and Ishmael son of Jehohanan, and Azariah son of Obed, and Maaseiah son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat son of Zichri, with him into covenant.

²Ug sila nangadto sa Juda, ug gitigum ang mga Levihanono gikan sa tanang mga ciudad sa Juda, ug ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan sa Israel, ug nangadto sila sa Jereusalem.

²And they go round about in Judah, and gather the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and heads of the fathers of Israel, and come in unto Jerusalem,

³Ug ang tibook katilingban naghimo ug usa ka pakigsaad uban sa hari didto sa balay sa Dios. Ug siya miingon kanila: Ania karon, ang anak nga lalake sa hari magahari, iingon sa gipamulong ni Jehova mahitungod sa mga anak nga lalake ni David.

³and all the assembly make a covenant in the house of God with the king, and he saith to them, `Lo, the son of the king doth reign, as Jehovah spake concerning the sons of David.

⁴Kini mao ang butang nga iniyong pagabuhaton: ang usa sa ikatolo ka bahin kaninyo, nga magasudlanan sa adlaw nga igpapahulay, sa mga sacerdote ug sa mga Levihanon, maoy mahimong mga magbalantay sa mga bakanan;

⁴`This [is] the thing that ye do: The third of you, going in on the sabbath, of the priests, and of the Levites, [are] for gatekeepers of the thresholds,

⁵Ug ang usa sa ikatolo ka bahin adto sa balay sa hari; ug ang usa ka ikatolo ka bahin adto sa ganghaan sa patukoranan: ug ang tibook katawohan anha sa mga sawang sa balay ni Jehova.

⁵and the third [are] at the house of the king, and the third at the gate of the foundation, and all the people [are] in the courts of the house of Jehovah.

⁶Apan ayaw pagpasudla bisan kinsa sa balay ni Jehova, gawas sa mga sacerdote, ug sila nga mga nanag-alagad sa mga Levihanon; sila makasulod, kay sila mga balaan: apan ang tibook katawohan magabantay sa katungdanan ni Jehova.

⁶`And none doth enter the house of Jehovah except the priests, and those ministering of the Levites (they go in for they [are] holy), and all the people keep the watch of Jehovah:

⁷Ug ang mga Levihanon magalibut sa hari, ang tagsatagsa ka tawo uban sa iyang mga hinagiban diha sa iyang kamot; ug bisan kinsa nga mosulod sa balay, ipapatay siya: ug kamo magauban sa hari sa diha nga siya mosulod, ug sa diha nga siya mogula.

⁷and the Levites have compassed the king round about, each with his weapon in his hand, and he who hath gone in unto the house is put to death; and be ye with the king in his coming in and in his going out.'

⁸Busa ang mga Levihanon ug ang tibook Juda naghimo sumala sa tanan nga gisugo ni Joiada nga sacerdote: ug sila nagdala ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sa ilang mga tawo, kadtong mga magasudlanan sa adlaw nga igpapahulay, kauban niadtong magagul-anan sa adlaw nga igpapahulay; kay wala pa buhii ni Joiada nga sacerdote ang mga kaubanan.

⁸And the Levites and all Judah do according to all that Jehoiada the priest hath commanded, and take each his men going in on the sabbath, with those going out on the sabbath, for Jehoiada the priest hath not let away the courses.

⁹Ug gitugyan ni Joiada nga sacerdote ngadto sa mga capitan sa mga ginatus ang mga pangkaw, ug ang mga kalasag, ug mga taming, nga iya kaniadto ni David nga hari, nga diha sa balay sa Dios.

⁹And Jehoiada the priest giveth to the heads of the hundreds the spears, and the shields, and the bucklers that [are] king David's, that [are] in the house of God;

¹⁰Ug iyang gipahamutang ang ang tibook katawohan, ang tagsatagsa ka tawo uban sa hinagiban diha sa iyang kamot, sukad sa too nga kiliran sa balay ngadto sa wala nga kiliran sa balay, ubay sa halaran ug sa balay, tupad sa hari nagalibut.

¹⁰and he stationeth the whole of the people, and each his dart in his hand, from the right shoulder of the house unto the left shoulder of the house, at the altar, and at the house, by the king, round about.

¹¹Unya ilang gidala sa gawas ang anak nga lalake sa hari, ug gibutang sa ulo niya ang purongpurong, ug gihatagan siya sa pagpamatuod, ug gihimo siyang hari: ug si Joiada ug ang iyang mga anak nga lalake nagdihog kaniya; ug sila ming-ingon: Mabuhi ang hari.

¹¹And they bring out the son of the king, and put upon him the crown, and the testimony, and cause him to reign; and Jehoiada and his sons anoint him, and say, `Let the king live!'

¹²Ug sa diha nga si Athalia nakadungog sa kaguliang sa katawohan nga nanagdalagan ug nanagdayeg sa hari, siya miadto sa katawohan sa balay ni Jehova:

¹²And Athaliah heareth the voice of the people who are running, and who are praising the king, and she cometh in unto the people in the house of Jehovah,

¹³Ug siya mitan-aw, ug, anla karon, ang hari nagtindog tupad sa iyang haligi sa alagianan sa pagsulod, ug ang mga capitan ug ang mga trompeta tupad sa hari; ug ang tibook katawohan sa yuta nanagkalipay, ug nanagpatunog sa mga trompeta; ang mga mag-aawit usab nanaghoni sa mga tulonggon sa mga musica, ug nagdumala sa pag-awit sa pagdayeg. Unya si Athalia magisi sa iyang mga saput, ug miingon: Pagbudhi! Pagbudhi!

¹³and seeth, and lo, the king is standing by his pillar in the entrance, and the heads, and the trumpets [are] by the king, and all the people of the land rejoicing and shouting with trumpets, and the singers with instruments of song, and the teachers, to praise, and Athaliah rendeth her garments, and saith, `Conspiracy, conspiracy.'

¹⁴Ug si Joiada nga sacerdote nagdala ngadto sa gawas sa mga capitan sa mga ginatus nga gibutang sa panon, ug miingon kanila: Paagia siya sa taliwala sa mga laray; ug bisan kinsa nga mosunod kaniya, ipapatay siya uban sa pinuti: kay ang sacerdote miingon: Ayaw siya pagpatya sulod sa balay ni Jehova.

¹⁴And Jehoiada the priest bringeth out the heads of the hundreds, inspectors of the force, and saith unto them, `Take her out from within the rows, and he who hath gone after her is put to death by the sword;' for the priest said, `Put her not to death [in] the house of Jehovah.'

¹⁵Busa sila minghatag ug alagianan alang kaniya; ug siya miadto ngadto sa pagsulod mo sa pultahan sa kabayo ngadto sa balay sa hari: ug ilang gipatay siya didto.

¹⁵And they make for her sides, and she cometh in unto the entrance of the gate of the horses at the house of the king, and they put her to death there.

¹⁶Ug si Joiada naghimo ug usa ka pakigsaad sa taliwala sa iyang kaugalingon, ug sa tibook katawohan, ug sa hari, nga sila mahimong katawohan ni Jehova.

¹⁶And Jehoiada maketh a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, to be for a people to Jehovah;

¹⁷Ug ang tibook katawohan nangadto sa balay ni Baal, ug gigun-ob kini, ug gigun-ob ang iyang mga halaran ug gigupok ang iyang mga larawan, ug gipatay si Mathan ang sacerdote ni Baal sa atubangan sa mga halaran.

¹⁷and all the people enter the house of Baal, and break it down, yea, his altars and his images they have broken, and Mattan priest of Baal they have slain before the altars.

¹⁸Ug gitudlo ni Joiada ang mga puno-an sa balay ni Jehova ilalum sa kamot sa mga sacerdote nga mga Levihanon, nga gibahinbahin ni David diha sa balay ni Jehova, aron sa paghalad sa mga halad-nga-sinunog kang Jehova, sumala sa nahisulat sa Kasugoan ni Moises, inubanan sa paglipay ug sa pag-awit, sumala sa sugo ni David.

¹⁸And Jehoiada putteth the offices of the house of Jehovah into the hand of the priests the Levites whom David had apportioned over the house of Jehovah, to cause to ascend the burnt-offerings of Jehovah, as written in the law of Moses, with joy, and with singing, by the hands of David;

¹⁹Ug iyang gibutang ang mga magbalantay sa mga pultahan diha sa ganghaan sa balay ni Jehova, nga walay bisan, kinsa nga mahugaw sa bisan unsa nga pagkaagi makasulod.

¹⁹and he stationeth the gatekeepers over the gates of the house of Jehovah, and the unclean in anything doth not go in.

²⁰Ug iyang gikuha ang mga capitan sa mga ginatus, ug ang mga harianon, ug ang mga gobernador sa katawohan, ug ang tibook katawohan sa yuta, ug gidala sa ubos ang hari gikan sa balay ni Jehova: ug ming-agi sila sa ganghaan dapit sa itaas ngadto sa balay sa hari, ug gibutang ang hari ibabaw sa trono sa gingharian.

²⁰And he taketh the heads of the hundreds, and the honourable ones, and the rulers among the people, and all the people of the land, and bringeth down the king from the house of Jehovah, and they come in through the high gate to the house of the king, and cause the king to sit on the throne of the kingdom.

²¹Busa ang tibook katawohan sa yuta nangalipay, ug ang ciudad malinaw. Ug si Athalia ilang gipatay sa pinuti.

²¹And all the people of the land rejoice, and the city hath been quiet, and Athaliah they have put to death by the sword.
