¹Ug ang hari nagsugo, ug ilang gitigum kaniya ang tanang mga anciano sa Juda ug sa Jerusalem.

¹And the king sendeth, and they gather unto him all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem,

²Ug ang hari miadto sa balay ni Jehova, ug ang tanan nga mga tawo sa Juda ug ang tanan nga nagapuyo sa Jerusalem diha uban kaniya, ug ang mga sacerdote, ug ang mga manalagna, ug ang tibook katawohan, gagmay ug dagku: ug iyang gibasa sa ilang mga igdulungog ang tanang mga pulong sa basahon sa tugon nga nakita didto sa balay ni Jehova.

²and the king goeth up to the house of Jehovah, and every man of Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, from small unto great, and he readeth in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that is found in the house of Jehovah.

³Ug ang hari nagtindog tupad sa haligi, ug naghimo sa usa ka saad sa atubangan ni Jehova, sa pagsunod kang Jehova, ug sa pagbantay sa iyang mga sugo, ug sa iyang mga pagpamatuod, ug sa iyang kabalaoran, sa bug-os niyang kasingkasing, ug sa bug-os niyang kalag, sa pagpamatuod sa mga pulong niini nga tugon nga nahisulat niini nga basahon; ug ang tibook katawohan nanagtindog sa pag-uyon sa tugon.

³And the king standeth by the pillar, and maketh the covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep His commands, and His testimonies, and His statutes, with all the heart, and with all the soul, to establish the words of this covenant that are written on this book, and all the people stand in the covenant.

⁴Ug ang hari nagsugo kang Hilcias ang labawng sacerdote, ug sa mga sacerdote sa ikaduhang laray, ug sa mga magbalantay sa bakanan, sa pagdala ngadto sa gawas sa Templo ni Jehova sa tanan nga mga sudlanan nga gihimo alang kang Baal, ug alang sa Ashera, ug alang sa tanang panon sa langit; ug kini gipanunog niya sa gawas sa Jerusalem sa mga kapatagan sa Cedron, ug gidala ang ilang mga abo ngadto sa Beth-el.

⁴And the king commandeth Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out from the temple of Jehovah all the vessels that are made for Baal, and for the shrine, and for all the host of the heavens, and he burneth them at the outside of Jerusalem, in the fields of Kidron, and hath borne their ashes to Beth-El.

⁵Ug iyang gipapahawa ang mga sacerdote nga mga diwatahan, nga gitukod sa mga hari sa Juda sa pagsunog sa incienso sa hatag-as nga mga dapit sa mga ciudad sa Juda, ug sa mga dapit nga nagalibut sa Jerusalem; ingon man usab kadtong nagasunog sa incienso ngadto kang Baal, sa adlaw, ug sa bulan, ug sa mga planeta, ug sa tanang panon sa langit:

⁵And he hath caused to cease the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah have appointed, (and they make perfume in high places, in cities of Judah and suburbs of Jerusalem,) and those making perfume to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of the heavens.

⁶Ug iyang gidala ang Ashera gikan sa balay ni Jehova, ngadto sa gawas sa Jerusalem, ngadto sa sapa sa Cedron, ug gisunog kini sa sapa sa Cedron, ug gidugmok hangtud nga naabug, ug gisabulak ang abug niini sa ibabaw sa mga lubnganan sa mga anak sa mga tawo nga ubos ug kahimtang.

⁶And he bringeth out the shrine from the house of Jehovah to the outside of Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burneth it at the brook Kidron, and beateth it small to dust, and casteth its dust on the grave of the sons of the people.

⁷Ug iyang gigun-ob ang mga balay sa mga sodomhanon, nga dinha sa balay ni Jehova, diin ang mga babaye naghabol sa mga balong-balong alang sa mga Ashera.

⁷And he breaketh down the houses of the whoremongers that [are] in the house of Jehovah, where the women are weaving houses for the shrine.

⁸Ug iyang gidala ang tanang mga sacerdote gikan sa mga lungsod sa Juda, ug gipasipalahan ang mga hatag-as nga dapit diin ang mga sacerdote nanagsunog ug incienso, sukad sa Gabaa ngadto sa Beer-seba; ug iyang gigun-ob ang mga hatag-as nga dapit sa mga ganghaan nga dinha sa alagianan sa pagsulod sa ganghaan ni Josue ang gobernador sa ciudad, nga dinha sa dapit sa kamot nga wala sa usa ka tawo sa ganghaan sa ciudad.

⁸And he bringeth in all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defileth the high places where the priests have made perfume, from Geba unto Beer-Sheba, and hath broken down the high places of the gates that [are] at the opening of the gate of Joshua, head of the city, that [is] on a man`s left hand at the gate of the city;

⁹Bisan pa niana ang mga sacerdote sa mga hatag-as nga dapit wala mosaka sa halaran ni Jehova didto sa Jerusalem, kondili nangaon sila sa tinapay nga walay levadura sa taliwala sa ilang mga kaigsoonan.

⁹only, the priests of the high places come not up unto the altar of Jehovah in Jerusalem, but they have eaten unleavened things in the midst of their brethren.

¹⁰Ug iyang gipasipalahan ang Topheth nga anaa sa walog sa mga anak ni Hinnom, aron walay tawo nga magapaagi sa iyang anak nga lalake kun anak nga babaye sa taliwala sa kalayo ngadto kang Moloch.

¹⁰And he hath defiled Topheth, that [is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, so that no man doth cause his son and his daughter to pass over through fire to Molech.

¹¹Ug iyang gikuha ang mga kabayo nga gihatag sa mga hari sa Juda sa adlaw, sa alagianan sa pagsulod sa balay ni Jehova, tupad sa sulod ni Nathan-melech, ang tinugyanan sa balay sa mga precinto; ug iyang gisunog sa kalayo ang mga carro sa adlaw.

¹¹And he causeth to cease the horses that the kings of Judah have given to the sun from the entering in of the house of Jehovah, by the chamber of Nathan-Melech the eunuch, that [is] in the suburbs, and the chariots of the sun he hath burnt with fire.

¹²Ug ang mga halaran nga dinha sa atop sa kinatas-an nga lawak ni Achaz, nga gibuhat sa mga hari sa Juda, ug ang mga halaran nga gibuhat ni Manases didto sa duha ka hawanan sa balay ni Jehova, gipanggun-ob sa hari, ug gipanglambusan nila , ug ilang gisabulak ang abug didto sa sapa sa Cedron.

¹²And the altars that [are] on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, that the kings of Judah made, and the altars that Manasseh made in the two courts of the house of Jehovah, hath the king broken down, and removeth thence, and hath cast their dust unto the brook Kidron.

¹³Ug ang mga hatag-as nga dapit nga diha sa atbang sa Jerusalem, dapit sa too sa bukid sa pagkadunot, nga gitukod ni Salomon nga hari sa Israel alang kang Astaroth ang dulumtanan sa mga Sidonhon, ug tungod kang Semos nga dulumtanan sa Moab, ug tungod kang Milcom nga dulumtanan sa mga anak sa Ammon, gipasipalahan sa hari.

¹³And the high places that [are] on the front of Jerusalem, that [are] on the right of the mount of corruption, that Solomon king of Israel had built to Ashtoreth abomination of the Zidonians, and Chemosh abomination of Moab, and to Milcom abomination of the sons of Ammon, hath the king defiled.

¹⁴Ug iyang gipanugmok ang mga haligi, ug gipamutol ang mga Ashera, ug gipuno ang ilang dapit sa mga bukog sa mga tawo.

¹⁴And he hath broken in pieces the standing-pillars, and cutteth down the shrines, and filleth their place with bones of men;

¹⁵Labut pa, ang halaran nga dinha sa Beth-el, ug ang hataas nga dapit nga gibuhat ni Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Nabat, nga naghimo sa Israel sa pagpakasala, bisan kadto nga halaran ug hataas nga dapit iyang gigun-ob; ug iyang gisunog ang hatag-as nga dapit, ug gidugmok, ug gisunog ang Ashera.

¹⁵and also the altar that [is] in Beth-El, the high place that Jeroboam son of Nebat made, by which he made Israel sin, both that altar and the high place he hath broken down, and doth burn the high place — he hath beat it small to dust, and hath burnt the shrine.

¹⁶Ug sa miliso si Josias, nasusihan niya ang mga lubnganan nga dinha sa bukid; ug siya nagpaadto, ug gikuha ang mga bukog sa mga lubnganan, ug gisunog sila sa ibabaw sa halaran, ug gipasipalahan kini, sumala sa pulong ni Jehova nga gipadayag sa tawo sa Dios, nga nagpahibalo niining mga butanga.

¹⁶And Josiah turneth, and seeth the graves that [are] there in the mount, and sendeth and taketh the bones out of the graves, and burneth [them] on the altar, and defileth it, according to the word of Jehovah that the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these things.

¹⁷Unya siya miingon: Unsa kanang monumento nga akong nakita? Ug ang mga tawo sa ciudad mingsugilon kaniya: Kana mao ang lubnganan sa tawo sa Dios, nga miabut gikan sa Juda, ug nagpahibalo niining mga butangan nga imong nabuhat batok sa halaran ni Beth-el.

¹⁷And he saith, `What [is] this sign that I see?` and the men of the city say unto him, `The grave of the man of God who hath come from Judah, and proclaimeth these things that thou hast done concerning the altar of Beth-El.`

¹⁸Ug siya miingon: Pasagdi siya; ayaw pag-itugot nga bisan kinsa magabalhin sa iyang mga bukog. Busa iyang gipasagdan ang iyang mga bukog, uban sa mga bukog sa manalagna nga migula sa Samaria.

¹⁸And he saith, `Let him alone, let no man touch his bones;` and they let his bones escape, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.

¹⁹Ug ang tanang mga balay usab sa mga hatag-as nga dapit, nga diha sa mga ciudad sa Samaria, nga ginahimo sa mga hari sa Israel, aron sa paghagit sa kasuko ni Jehova , gikuha ni Josias, ug gibuhat kanila sumala sa tanan nga iyang gibuhat didto sa Beth-el.

¹⁹And also all the houses of the high places that [are] in the cities of Samaria, that the kings of Israel made to provoke to anger, hath Josiah turned aside, and doth to them according to all the deeds that he did in Beth-El.

²⁰Ug iyang gipamatay ang tanan nga mga sacerdote sa hatag-as nga dapit nga didto sa ibabaw sa mga halaran, ug gisunog ang mga bukog sa mga tawo sa ibabaw nila, ug siya mibalik ngadto sa Jerusalem.

²⁰And he slayeth all the priests of the high places who [are] there by the altars, and burneth the bones of man upon them, and turneth back to Jerusalem.

²¹Ug ang hari nagsugo sa tibook katawohan, nga nagaingon: Bantayi ang pasko alang kang Jehova nga inyong Dios, sumala sa nahisulat niining basahon sa tugon.

²¹And the king commandeth the whole of the people, saying, `Make ye a passover to Jehovah your God, as it is written on this book of the covenant.`

²²Sa pagkamatuod walay nahimo sama sa maong pasko sukad sa mga adlaw sa mga maghuhukom nga nanaghukom sa Israel, ni sa tanang mga adlaw sa mga hari sa Israel, ni sa mga hari sa Juda;

²²Surely there hath not been made like this passover from the days of the judges who judged Israel, even all the days of the kings of Israel, and of the kings of Judah;

²³Apan sa ikanapulo ug walo ka tuig ni hari Josias kini nga pasko kang Jehova gihimo didto sa Jerusalem.

²³but in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, hath this passover been made to Jehovah in Jerusalem.

²⁴Labut pa gikuha ni Josias ang mga tawo nga espiritista, ug ang mga salamangkero, ug ang mga gagmayng larawan, ug ang mga dios-dios, ug ang tanang mga dulumtanan nga nakita didto sa yuta sa Juda, ug sa Jerusalem, gisalikway ni Josias aron iyang matuman ang mga pulong sa Kasugoan nga nahisulat sa basahon nga nakaplagan ni Hilcias nga sacerdote sa balay ni Jehova.

²⁴And also, those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the teraphim, and the idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah, and in Jerusalem, hath Josiah put away, in order to establish the words of the law that are written on the book that Hilkiah the priest hath found in the house of Jehovah.

²⁵Ug walay hari sa nanghiuna kaniya nga sama kaniya, nga mibalik kang Jehova uban ang bug-os niyang kasingkasing, ug uban ang bug-os niyang kalag, ug uban ang bug-os niyang gahum, sumala sa tibook Kasugoan ni Moises: ni sa ulahi niya may mitindog pa nga sama kaniya.

²⁵And like him there hath not been before him a king who turned back unto Jehovah with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses, and after him there hath none risen like him.

²⁶Bisan pa niana, si Jehova wala mapuypoy gikan sa kabangis sa iyang dakung kaligutgut, diin ang iyang kasuko misilaub batok sa Juda, tungod sa tanang mga paghagit nga gihagit ni Manases kaniya.

²⁶Only, Jehovah hath not turned back from the fierceness of His great anger with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh provoked him,

²⁷Ug si Jehova miingon: Ipahilayo ko usab ang Juda gikan sa akong panan-aw, ingon sa akong pagpahilayo sa Israel, ug isalikway ko kining ciudad nga akong gipili, bisan ang Jerusalem, ug ang balay nga niini ako miingon: Ang akong ngalan anha diha.

²⁷and Jehovah saith, `Also Judah I turn aside from my presence, as I turned Israel aside, and I have rejected this city that I have chosen — Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name is there.`

²⁸Karon ang nahabilin nga mga buhat ni Josias, ug ang tanan nga iyang gihimo, wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Juda?

²⁸And the rest of the matters of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

²⁹Sa iyang mga adlaw si Faraon Nechao nga hari sa Egipto, mitungas batok sa hari sa Asiria ngadto sa suba sa Eufrates: ug ang hari nga si Josias miadto batok kaniya: ug si Faraon Nechao mipatay kaniya didto sa Megiddo sa iyang pagpakakita kaniya.

²⁹In his days hath Pharaoh-Nechoh king of Egypt come up against the king of Asshur, by the river Phrat, and king Josiah goeth out to meet him, and he putteth him to death in Megiddo, when he seeth him.

³⁰Ug gitungtong siya nga patay sa iyang mga alagad diha sa usa ka carro sukad sa Megiddo, ug gidala siya ngadto sa Jerusalem, ug gilubong siya sa iyang kaugalingong lubnganan. Ug ang katawohan sa yuta mingkuha kang Joachaz, ang anak nga lalake ni Josias, ug gidihogan siya, ug gihimo siya nga hari ilis sa iyang amahan.

³⁰And his servants cause him to ride dying from Megiddo, and bring him in to Jerusalem, and bury him in his own grave, and the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and anoint him, and cause him to reign instead of his father.

³¹Si Joachaz may kaluhaan ug tolo ka tuig ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya sa paghari; ug siya naghari ug tolo ka bulan sa Jerusalem: ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Hamutal, ang anak nga babaye ni Jeremias sa Libna.

³¹A son of twenty and three years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah,

³²Ug iyang gibuhat ang dautan sa panan-aw ni Jehova, sumala sa gihimo sa iyang mga amahan.

³²and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his fathers did,

³³Ug gipabilanggo siya ni Faraon Nechao didto sa Ribla sa yuta sa Hamath, aron siya dili makahari sa Jerusalem; ug gipabuhis niya ang yuta sa usa ka gatus ka talento nga salapi, ug usa ka talento nga bulawan.

³³and Pharaoh-Nechoh bindeth him in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, from reigning in Jerusalem, and he putteth a fine on the land — a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

³⁴Ug si Eliacim gihimo ni Faraon Nechao nga hari, ang anak nga lalake ni Josias ilis ni Josias nga iyang amahan, ug giilisan ang iyang ngalan sa Joacim: apan iyang gikuha si Joachaz; ug miadto siya sa Egipto, ug namatay didto;

³⁴And Pharaoh-Nechoh causeth Eliakim son of Josiah to reign instead of Josiah his father, and turneth his name to Jehoiakim, and Jehoahaz he hath taken away, and he cometh in to Egypt, and dieth there.

³⁵Ug gihatag ni Joacim ang salapi ug ang bulawan kang Faraon; apan iyang gipabuhisan ang yuta aron ihatag ang salapi sumala sa sugo ni Faraon; iyang gitigum ang salapi ug ang bulawan sa katawohan sa yuta, ang tagsatagsa sumala sa iyang buhis, aron ihatag kang Faraon Nechao.

³⁵And the silver and the gold hath Jehoiakim given to Pharaoh; only he valued the land to give the silver by the command of Pharaoh; from each, according to his valuation, he exacted the silver and the gold, from the people of the land, to give to Pharaoh-Nechoh.

³⁶Kaluhaan ug lima ka tuig ang panuigon ni Joacim sa pagsugod niya sa paghari; ug siya naghari sulod sa napulo ug usa ka tuig sa Jerusalem; ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Zebuda, anak nga babaye ni Pedaia sa Ruma.

³⁶A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Zebudah daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah,

³⁷Ug iyang gibuhat ang dautan sa panan-aw ni Jehova, sumala sa tanan nga gihimo sa iyang mga amahan.

³⁷and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his fathers did.
