¹Niadtong adlawa gihatag ni hari Assuero ang balay ni Aman ang kaaway sa mga Judio kang Ester nga reina. Ug si Mardocheo miadto sa atubangan sa hari; kay si Ester nagsugilon kong ig-unsa siya kaniya.

¹On that day hath the king Ahasuerus given to Esther the queen the house of Haman, adversary of the Jews, and Mordecai hath come in before the king, for Esther hath declared what he [is] to her,

²Ug gikuha ang singsing sa hari, nga iyang nakuha kang Aman, ug gihatag kini kang Mardocheo. Ug gipahamutang ni Ester si Mardocheo sa balay ni Aman.

²and the king turneth aside his signet, that he hath caused to pass away from Haman, and giveth it to Mordecai, and Esther setteth Mordecai over the house of Haman.

³Ug si Ester namulong pa gani pag-usab sa atubangan sa hari, ug miluhod sa iyang tiilan, ug nangaliyupo kaniya inubanan sa luha aron sa pagpapas sa kadautan ni Aman, ang Agagehanon, ug sa iyang lalang nga iyang gilalang batok sa mga Judio.

³And Esther addeth, and speaketh before the king, and falleth before his feet, and weepeth, and maketh supplication to him, to cause the evil of Haman the Agagite to pass away, and his device that he had devised against the Jews;

⁴Unya ang hari mitunol sa iyang bulawan nga cetro kang Ester. Busa si Ester mibangon, ug mitindog sa atubangan sa hari.

⁴and the king holdeth out to Esther the golden sceptre, and Esther riseth, and standeth before the king,

⁵Ug siya miingon: Kong kini nakapahimuot sa hari, kong ako nakapahimuot sa iyang pagtan-aw, ug kini daw matarung sa atubangan sa hari, ug kong ako nakapahimuot sa iyang mga mata, ipasulat kini aron sa pagbawi sa mga sulat nga gilalang ni Aman, ang anak nga lalake ni Amadatha, ang Agagehanon, nga iyang gisulat aron sa paglaglag sa mga Judio nga anaa sa tanang mga lalawigan sa hari.

⁵and saith, `If to the king [it be] good, and if I have found grace before him, and the thing hath been right before the king, and I [be] good in his eyes, let it be written to bring back the letters — a device of Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite — that he wrote to destroy the Jews who [are] in all provinces of the king,

⁶Kay unsaon ko sa pag-antus nga magatan-aw sa dautan nga mahatabo sa akong katawohan? Kun unsaon ko sa pag-antus nga magatan-aw sa pagkalaglag sa akong mga kaubanan?

⁶for how do I endure when I have looked on the evil that doth find my people? and how do I endure when I have looked on the destruction of my kindred?`

⁷Unya ang hari nga si Assuero miingon kang Ester nga reina ngadto kang Mardocheo nga Judio: Ania karon, gihatag ko kang Ester ang balay ni Aman, ug siya ilang gibitay sa bitayan, kay iyang gibutang ang iyang kamot ibabaw sa mga Judio.

⁷And the king Ahasuerus saith to Esther the queen, and to Mordecai the Jew, `Lo, the house of Haman I have given to Esther, and him they have hanged on the tree, because that he put forth his hand on the Jews,

⁸Magsulat usab kamo sa mga Judio, ingon sa makapahimuot kini kaninyo, sa ngalan sa hari, ug patikan kini sa singsing sa hari; kay ang sinulat nga nahisulat sa ngalan sa hari, ug pinatikan sa singsing sa hari, walay tawo nga makausab.

⁸and ye, write ye for the Jews, as [it is] good in your eyes, in the name of the king, and seal with the signet of the king — for the writing that is written in the name of the king, and sealed with the signet of the king, there is none to turn back.`

⁹Unya ang mga magsusulat sa hari gipanawag niadtong panahona, sa ikatolong bulan nga mao ang bulan sa Sivan, sa ikakaluhaan ug tolo ka adlaw niana; ug kini gisulat sumala sa tanang gisugo ni Mardocheo sa mga Judio, ug sa mga labawng punoan sa lalawigan, ug sa mga gobernador, ug sa mga principe sa mga lalawigan nga anaa magsugod sa India ngadto sa Etiopia, usa ka gatus ug kaluhaan ug pito ka mga lalawigan alang sa tagsatagsa ka lalawigan sumala sa nahisulat niana, ug alang sa tagsatagsa ka katawohan sumala sa ilang pinulongan, ug sa mga Judio sumala sa ilang sinulat, ug sumala sa ilang pinulongan.

⁹And the scribes of the king are called, at that time, in the third month — it [is] the month of Sivan — in the three and twentieth of it, and it is written, according to all that Mordecai hath commanded, unto the Jews, and unto the lieutenants, and the governors, and the heads of the provinces, that [are] from Hodu even unto Cush, seven and twenty and a hundred provinces — province and province according to its writing, and people and people according to its tongue, and unto the Jews according to their writing, and according to their tongue.

¹⁰Ug siya misulat sa ngalan ni hari Assuero, ug gipatikan kini sa singsing sa hari, ug nagpadala ug mga sulat pinaagi sa mga correo nga nanagkabayo, nga nanagkabayo sa mga matulin nga mga kabayo nga gigamit sa pag-alagad sa hari, kaliwat sa iglulumba:

¹⁰And he writeth in the name of the king Ahasuerus, and sealeth with the signet of the king, and sendeth letters by the hand of the runners with horses, riders of the dromedary, the mules, the young mares,

¹¹Diin ang hari mitugot sa mga Judio nga diha sa tagsatagsa ka ciudad aron sa pagtigum sa ilang kaugalingon pagtingub, ug sa pagtindog alang sa ilang kinabuhi, aron sa paglaglag, sa pagpatay, ug sa pagpapoo pagpahurot, ang tanan nga gahum sa katawohan ug sa lalawigan nga moasdang kanila, sa ilang mga kabataan nga magagmay ug sa mga babaye, ug aron sa pagkuha sa mga butang nila ingon nga salakmiton nila,

¹¹that the king hath given to the Jews who [are] in every city and city, to be assembled, and to stand for their life, to cut off, to slay, and to destroy the whole force of the people and province who are distressing them, infants and women, and their spoil to seize.

¹²Sa usa ka adlaw sa tanang lalawigan ni hari Assuero, nga mao ang ikapulo ug tolo ka adlaw sa ikapulo ug duha ka bulan, nga mao ang bulan nga Adar.

¹²In one day, in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth of the twelfth month — it [is] the month of Adar —

¹³Usa ka hinulad sa sulat nga ang pagbulot-an ipahatag sa tagsatagsa ka lalawigan, gimantala ngadto sa tanang mga katawohan aron ang mga Judio mamaandam niadtong adlawa sa ilang pagpanimalus sa ilang mga kaaway.

¹³a copy of the writing to be made law in every province and province is revealed to all the peoples, and for the Jews being ready at this day to be avenged of their enemies.

¹⁴Busa ang mga correo nga nanagkabayo sa matulin nga mga kabayo nga gigamit sa pag-alagad sa hari ming-adto, nga gipadali ug napugos sa pagdali tungod sa sugo sa hari, ug ang sugo gihatag ngadto sa Susan nga mao ang palacio.

¹⁴The runners, riding on the dromedary, [and] the mules, have gone out, hastened and pressed by the word of the king, and the law hath been given in Shushan the palace.

¹⁵Ug si Mardocheo miadto gikan sa atubangan sa hari sa harianong pagpamisti sa azul ug maputi, ug uban sa usa ka dakung purongpurong nga bulawan, ug uban sa usa ka hataas nga kupo sa lino nga fino ug purpura: ug ang ciudad sa Susan misinggit ug nalipay.

¹⁵And Mordecai went out from before the king, in royal clothing of blue and white, and a great crown of gold, and a garment of fine linen and purple, and the city of Shushan hath rejoiced and been glad;

¹⁶Ang mga Judio may kahayag ug mga kalipay, ug kasadya ug kadungganan.

¹⁶to the Jews hath been light, and gladness, and joy, and honour,

¹⁷Ug sa tagsatagsa ka lalawigan, ug sa tagsatagsa ka ciudad, bisan diin ang sugo sa hari ug ang iyang pahibalo, ang mga Judio may kalipay ug may kasadya, usa ka combira ug usa ka maayo nga adlaw. Ug daghan sa mga katawohan sa yuta nga nahimong mga Judio kay ang kahadlok sa mga Judio diha kanila.

¹⁷and in every province and province, and in every city and city, the place where the word of the king, even his law, is coming, gladness and joy [are] to the Jews, a banquet, and a good day; and many of the peoples of the land are becoming Jews, for a fear of the Jews hath fallen upon them.
