¹Ug si Moises mitubag ug miingon: Apan ania karon, sila dili motoo kanako, dili usab magapatalinghug sa akong tingog, kay magaingon sila: Wala magpakita kanimo si Jehova.

¹And Moses answereth and saith, `And, if they do not give credence to me, nor hearken to my voice, and say, Jehovah hath not appeared unto thee?`

²Ug si Jehova miingon: Unsa ba kana nga anaa sa imong kamot? Ug siya mitubag: Usa ka sungkod.

²And Jehovah saith unto him, `What [is] this in thy hand?` and he saith, `A rod;`

³Ug siya miingon kaniya: Ibalibag kana sa yuta. Ug iyang gibalibag sa yuta, ug kadto nahimo nga usa ka bitin: ug si Moises milikay gikan niini.

³and He saith, `Cast it to the earth;` and he casteth it to the earth, and it becometh a serpent — and Moses fleeth from its presence.

⁴Unya miingon si Jehova kang Moises: Tuy-ora ang imong kamot ug kupti siya sa ikog (ug iyang gituy-od ang iyang kamot, ug gikuptan niya kini, ug kini nahimong sungkod sa iyang kamot);

⁴And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Put forth thy hand, and lay hold on the tail of it;` and he putteth forth his hand, and layeth hold on it, and it becometh a rod in his hand —

⁵Aron motoo sila nga nagpakita kanimo si Jehova, ang Dios sa ilang mga ginikanan, ang Dios ni Abraham, ang Dios ni Isaac, ug ang Dios ni Jacob.

⁵`— so that they believe that Jehovah, God of their fathers, hath appeared unto thee, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob.`

⁶Ug si Jehova miingon pa gayud kaniya: Isulod karon sa imong dughan ang imong kamot. Ug gisulod niya ang iyang kamot sa iyang dughan, ug sa iyang gikuha kini, ania karon, ang iyang kamot gisanla ug naputi ingon sa niebe.

⁶And Jehovah saith to him again, `Put in, I pray thee, thy hand into thy bosom;` and he putteth in his hand into his bosom, and he bringeth it out, and lo, his hand [is] leprous as snow;

⁷Ug miingon siya: Ibalik mo sa pagsulod ang imong kamot sa imong dughan. (Ug iyang gibalik sa pagsulod ang iyang kamot sa iyang dughan; ug sa gikuha niya kini gikan sa iyang dughan, ania karon, naulian ingon sa iyang lain nga unod.)

⁷and He saith, `Put back thy hand unto thy bosom;` and he putteth back his hand unto his bosom, and he bringeth it out from his bosom, and lo, it hath turned back as his flesh —

⁸Ug kini mahitabo nga kong sila dili motoo kanimo, ni mamati sa tingog sa una nga ilhanan, sila motoo sa tingog sa ulahi nga ilhanan.

⁸`— and it hath come to pass, if they do not give credence to thee, and hearken not to the voice of the first sign, that they have given credence to the voice of the latter sign.

⁹Ug kini mahitabo nga kong sila dili pa gayud motoo niining duha ka mga ilhanan, ni magapatalinghug sa imong tingog, kumuha ka sa mga tubig sa suba, ug ibubo mo sa mamala nga yuta; ug ang tubig nga pagakuhaon mo sa suba mahimo nga dugo sa ibabaw sa mamala nga yuta.

⁹`And it hath come to pass, if they do not give credence even to these two signs, nor hearken to thy voice, that thou hast taken of the waters of the River, and hast poured on the dry land, and the waters which thou takest from the River have been, yea, they have become — blood on the dry land.`

¹⁰Ug si Moises miingon kang Jehova: Ginoo! dili ako ang tawo nga madanihong mosulti bisan hangtud karon, bisan sukad nga ikaw misulti sa imong ulipon; kay ako mahinay nga mamulong ug yongit sa dila.

¹⁰And Moses saith unto Jehovah, `O, my Lord, I [am] not a man of words, either yesterday, or before, or since Thy speaking unto Thy servant, for I [am] slow of mouth, and slow of tongue.`

¹¹Ug si Jehova mitubag kaniya: Kinsa man diay ang nagbuhat sa baba sa tawo? kun kinsa ba ang nagbuhat sa tawo nga mama, kun bungol, kun sa makakita, kun sa buta? Dili ba ako man, si Jehova?

¹¹And Jehovah saith unto him, `Who appointed a mouth for man? or who appointeth the dumb, or deaf, or open, or blind? is it not I, Jehovah?

¹²Busa karon lumakaw ka, kay ako magauban sa imong baba, ug magatudlo kanimo kong unsa ang imong igasulti.

¹²and now, go, and I — I am with thy mouth, and have directed thee that which thou speakest;`

¹³Unya siya miingon: Oh Ginoo! ipadala, nagaampo ako kanimo, pinaagi sa iyang kamot sa imong pagasugoon.

¹³and he saith, `O, my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand Thou dost send.`

¹⁴Ug si Jehova nasuko batok kang Moises, ug miingon siya: Wala ba diha ang imong igsoon nga lalake nga si Aaron nga Levihanon? Nahibalo ako nga siya makasulti ug maayo. Ug usab, ania karon, siya moanhi sa pagsugat kanimo, ug kong siya makakita kanimo mahinangop siya sa iyang kasingkasing.

¹⁴And the anger of Jehovah burneth against Moses, and He saith, `Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I have known that he speaketh well, and also, lo, he is coming out to meet thee; when he hath seen thee, then he hath rejoiced in his heart,

¹⁵Ug ikaw magasulti kaniya, ug magabutang sa mga pulong sa iyang baba ug ako magauban sa imong baba, ug sa iyang baba, ug ako magatudlo kaninyo sa inyong pagabuhaton.

¹⁵and thou hast spoken unto him, and hast set the words in his mouth, and I — I am with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and have directed you that which ye do;

¹⁶Ug siya mahimo nga imong magsusulti alang kanimo sa atubangan sa katawohan; ug mahitabo nga siya magasilbi nga imong baba, ug ikaw mahimo kaniya ingon sa Dios.

¹⁶and he, he hath spoken for thee unto the people, and it hath come to pass, he — he is to thee for a mouth, and thou — thou art to him for God;

¹⁷Ug ikaw magabitbit niining sungkod sa imong kamot, nga uban niini magabuhat ka ug mga ilhanan.

¹⁷and this rod thou dost take in thy hand, with which thou doest the signs.`

¹⁸Ug si Moises milakaw ug mipauli ngadto kang Jetro nga iyang ugangan, ug miingon kaniya: Palakta ako, nagaampo ako kanimo, ug papaulia ako ngadto sa akong mga igsoon nga atua sa Egipto, ug motan-aw ako kong mga buhi pa ba sila. Ug si Jetro miingon kang Moises: Lumakaw ka sa pakigdait.

¹⁸And Moses goeth and turneth back unto Jethro his father-in-law, and saith to him, `Let me go, I pray thee, and I turn back unto my brethren who [are] in Egypt, and I see whether they are yet alive.` And Jethro saith to Moses, `Go in peace.`

¹⁹Ug si Jehova miingon kang Moises didto sa Median: Lumakaw ka, pumauli ngadto sa Egipto, kay nangamatay na ang tanan nga mga nanagtinguha sa imong kinabuhi.

¹⁹And Jehovah saith unto Moses in Midian, `Go, turn back to Egypt, for all the men have died who seek thy life;`

²⁰Unya gikuha ni Moises ang iyang asawa ug ang iyang mga anak nga lalake, ug gipakabayo sila sa usa ka asno, ug mipauli siya sa yuta sa Egipto: ug gibitbit ni Moises ang sungkod sa Dios sa iyang kamot.

²⁰and Moses taketh his wife, and his sons, and causeth them to ride on the ass, and turneth back to the land of Egypt, and Moses taketh the rod of God in his hand.

²¹Ug si Jehova miingon kang Moises: Sa paghibalik mo sa Egipto, tan-awa nga buhaton mo sa atubangan ni Faraon ang tanan nga kahibulongan nga gibutang ko sa imong kamot: apan ako magapagahi sa iyang kasingkasing, ug siya dili motugot sa pagpalakaw sa katawohan.

²¹And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `In thy going to turn back to Egypt, see — all the wonders which I have put in thy hand — that thou hast done them before Pharaoh, and I — I strengthen his heart, and he doth not send the people away;

²²Ug magaingon ka kang Faraon: Si Jehova nag-ingon niini: Ang Israel akong anak nga lalake, ang akong panganay.

²²and thou hast said unto Pharaoh, Thus said Jehovah, My son, My first-born [is] Israel,

²³Ug ako nag-ingon kanimo: Tugotan mo sa paglakaw ang akong anak, aron siya mag-alagad kanako; ug ikaw nagdumili sa pagpalakaw kaniya: ania aron, pagapatyon ko ang imong anak nga lalake, ang imong panganay.

²³and I say unto thee, Send away My son, and he doth serve Me; and — thou dost refuse to send him away — lo, I am slaying thy son, thy first-born.`

²⁴Ug nahatabo didto sa dalan sa usa ka balay nga abutanan nga migula si Jehova nga misugat kaniya, ug buot mopatay kaniya.

²⁴And it cometh to pass in the way, in a lodging place, that Jehovah meeteth him, and seeketh to put him to death;

²⁵Unya si Sephora mikuha ug usa ka mahait nga santik, ug giputol niya ang panit sa iyang anak nga lalake, ug gisalibay kini sa tiilan ni Moises nga nagaingon: Sa pagkamatuod ikaw mao ang usa ko ka bana sa dugo.

²⁵and Zipporah taketh a flint, and cutteth off the foreskin of her son, and causeth [it] to touch his feet, and saith, `Surely a bridegroom of blood [art] thou to me;`

²⁶Tungod niini inyong gitugotan siya sa pagpalakaw. Ug si Sephora miingon: Ikaw mao ang bana sa dugo tungod sa circuncicion.

²⁶and He desisteth from him: then she said, `A bridegroom of blood,` in reference to the circumcision.

²⁷Ug si Jehova miingon kang Aaron: Umadto ka sa kamingawan sa pagsugat kang Moises. Ug siya miadto ug misugat kaniya sa bukid sa Dios ug mihalok kaniya.

²⁷And Jehovah saith unto Aaron, `Go to meet Moses into the wilderness;` and he goeth, and meeteth him in the mount of God, and kisseth him,

²⁸Ug si Moises misugilon kang Aaron sa tanan nga mga pulong ni Jehova nga tungod niini gisugo siya, ug sa tanan nga mga ilhanan nga tungod niini gitugyanan siya.

²⁸and Moses declareth to Aaron all the words of Jehovah with which He hath sent him, and all the signs with which He hath charged him.

²⁹Ug ming-adto si Moises ug si Aaron, ug nanagtigum sa tanan nga mga anciano sa mga anak sa Israel:

²⁹And Moses goeth — Aaron also — and they gather all the elders of the sons of Israel,

³⁰Ug misulti si Aaron sa tanan nga mga pulong nga gisulti ni Jehova kang Moises, ug mibuhat ug mga ilhanan sa atubangan sa mga mata sa katawohan.

³⁰and Aaron speaketh all the words which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses, and doth the signs before the eyes of the people;

³¹Ug ang katawohan mitoo: ug sa pagkadungog nila nga si Jehova midu-aw sa mga anak sa Israel, ug nga nakita niya ang ilang kalisdanan, unya giduko ang ulo ug misimba sila.

³¹and the people believe when they hear that Jehovah hath looked after the sons of Israel, and that He hath seen their affliction; and they bow and do obeisance.
