¹Karon, sa mga butang nga among ginasulti, ang labing dakung hunahuna mao kini: Aduna kita niining maong labawng sacerdote nga naglingkod sa toong kamot sa trono sa Halangdon sa mga langit,

¹And the sum concerning the things spoken of [is]: we have such a chief priest, who did sit down at the right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens,

²Usa ka ministro sa dapit nga balaan, ug sa matuod nga tabernaculo nga ginapatindog sa Dios, dili sa tawo.

²of the holy places a servant, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord did set up, and not man,

³Kay ang tagsatagsa ka labawng sacerdote gitudlo aron magahalad sa mga gasa ug mga halad usab; tungod niana kinahanglan nga kining labawng sacerdote usab may iyang takus ikahalad.

³for every chief priest to offer both gifts and sacrifices is appointed, whence [it is] necessary for this one to have also something that he may offer;

⁴Busa, kong siya ania pa sa yuta, dili gayud siya masacerdote, sanglit ania sila nga nagahalad sa mga gasa sumala sa Kasugoan;

⁴for if, indeed, he were upon earth, he would not be a priest — (there being the priests who are offering according to the law, the gifts,

⁵Nga nagaalagad nianang hulad ug landong sa mga butang nga langitnon, bisan ingon nga si Moises gipasidaanan sa Dios sa diha nga magabuhat na unta siya sa tabernaculo, kay: Tan-awa, matud niya, nga buhaton mo ang tanang mga butang sumala sa sumbanan nga gipakita kanimo didto sa bukid.

⁵who unto an example and shadow do serve of the heavenly things, as Moses hath been divinely warned, being about to construct the tabernacle, for `See (saith He) thou mayest make all things according to the pattern that was shewn to thee in the mount;`) —

⁶Apan karon nabatonan niya ang usa ka ministerio nga labing maayo, sa paagi nga siya ang Manlalaban sa usa ka labing maayo nga tugon nga gitukod pinasikad sa labing maayo nga mga saad.

⁶and now he hath obtained a more excellent service, how much also of a better covenant is he mediator, which on better promises hath been sanctioned,

⁷Kay kong kadtong nahaunang tugon wala pay nakulang, nan wala unta pagpangitai ug dapit alang sa ikaduha.

⁷for if that first were faultless, a place would not have been sought for a second.

⁸Kay sa pagkakaplag ug kakulangan kanila, miingon siya: Ania karon, moabut ang mga adlaw, nagaingon ang Ginoo, nga ako magabuhat ug bag-o nga tugon uban sa balay sa Israel ug uban sa balay sa Juda;

⁸For finding fault, He saith to them, `Lo, days come, saith the Lord, and I will complete with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah, a new covenant,

⁹Dili sumala sa tugon nga gibuhat ko uban sa ilang mga ginikanan sa adlaw nga gikuha ko sila sa akong mga kamot sa pag-agak kanila gawas sa yuta sa Egipto, kay sila wala managpadayon sa akong tugon, ug ako wala magatagad kanila, miingon ang Ginoo.

⁹not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day of My taking [them] by their hand, to bring them out of the land of Egypt — because they did not remain in My covenant, and I did not regard them, saith the Lord, —

¹⁰Kay kini mao ang tugon nga akong pagabuhaton uban sa balay ni Israel sa human niadtong mga adlawa, nagaingon ang Ginoo: Igabutang ko ang akong mga Kasugoan sa ilang hunahuna, ug sa ilang mga kasingkasing usab igasulat ko kini; ug ako mahimong Dios nila, ug sila mahimong katawohan nako;

¹⁰because this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord, giving My laws into their mind, and upon their hearts I will write them, and I will be to them for a God, and they shall be to Me for a people;

¹¹Ug ang tagsatagsa kanila dili magatudlo sa iyang isigka-tagilungsod, ug ang tagsatagsa sa iyang igsoon sa pag-ingon: Ilhon mo ang Ginoo: kay ang tanan makaila kanako, gikan sa labing diyutay ngadto sa labing dagku kanila.

¹¹and they shall not teach each his neighbour, and each his brother, saying, Know thou the Lord, because they shall all know Me from the small one of them unto the great one of them,

¹²Kay magamaloloy-on ako sa ilang pagkamasupilon, ug ang ilang mga sala dili ko na paghinumduman.

¹²because I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will remember no more;` —

¹³Niana nagaingon siya: Usa ka bag-ong tugon, gipakadaan niya ang nahauna. Apan ang nagakadaan ug nagakatigulang haduol na sa pagkahanaw.

¹³in the saying `new,` He hath made the first old, and what doth become obsolete and is old [is] nigh disappearing.
