¹Ug nahitabo, nga sa nakaagi na ang tibook nga nasud sa Jordan, si Jehova namulong kang Josue, nga nagaingon:

¹And it cometh to pass, when all the nation hath completed to pass over the Jordan, that Jehovah speaketh unto Joshua, saying,

²Magkuha ka ug napulo ug duha ka tawo gikan sa katawohan, tagsa ka tawo sa usa ka banay.

²`Take for you out of the people twelve men, one man — one man out of a tribe;

³Ug magsugo ka kanila, nga magaingon: Kumuha kamo sa taliwala sa Jordan, sa dapit diin nagtindog nga walay lihok ang mga tiil sa mga sacerdote, napulo ug duha ka bato, ug dad-a ninyo, ug ibutang sa dapit nga inyong pagahigdaan karong gabii.

³and command ye them, saying, Take up for you from this [place], from the midst of the Jordan, from the established standing-place of the feet of the priests, twelve stones, and ye have removed them over with you, and placed them in the lodging-place in which ye lodge to-night.`

⁴Unya gikuha ni Josue ang napulo ug duha ka tawo nga iyang giandan sa mga anak sa Israel, usa ka tawo sa matag-banay:

⁴And Joshua calleth unto the twelve men whom he prepared out of the sons of Israel, one man — one man out of a tribe;

⁵Ug si Josue miingon kanila: Lumatas kamo una sa arca ni Jehova nga inyong Dios, ngadto sa taliwala sa Jordan, ug ang tagsatagsa kaninyo kumuha ug pumas-an ug usa ka bato sa iyang abaga, sumala sa gidaghanon sa mga banay sa mga anak sa Israel:

⁵and Joshua saith to them, `Pass over before the ark of Jehovah your God unto the midst of the Jordan and lift up for you each, one stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

⁶Aron kini maoy mahimong ilhanan sa taliwala ninyo nga sa mangutana ang inyong mga anak sa panahon nga umaabut, nga magaingon: Unsay kahulogan niining mga batoha?

⁶so that this is a sign in your midst, when your children ask hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones to you?

⁷Unya tubagon ninyo sila: Tungod kay ang mga tubig sa Jordan nabahin sa duruha sa atubangan sa arca sa tugon ni Jehova; sa pag-agi niana sa Jordan, ang mga tubig sa Jordan nabahin; ug kining mga batoha maoy handumanan sa mga anak sa Israel sa walay katapusan.

⁷that ye have said to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off, at the presence of the ark of the covenant of Jehovah; in its passing over into the Jordan were the waters of the Jordan cut off; and these stones have been for a memorial to the sons of Israel — to the age.`

⁸Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nagbuhat sumala sa gisugo kanila ni Josue, ug nanagkuha ug napulo ug duha ka bato sa kinataliwad-an sa Jordan, sumala sa gipamulong ni Jehova kang Josue, sumala sa gidaghanon sa mga banay sa mga anak sa Israel; ug gidala nila ngadto sa dapit nga ilang gihigdaan, ug didto ilang gipahamutang kini.

⁸And the sons of Israel do so as Joshua commanded, and take up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, and remove them over with them unto the lodging-place, and place them there,

⁹Ug si Josue nagpatindog sa napulo ug duha ka bato sa kinataliwad-an sa Jordan, sa dapit nga ginatindogan sa tiil sa mga sacerdote nga nanagyayong sa arca sa tugon: ug kini atua nagatindog gihapon didto hangtud niining adlawa.

⁹even the twelve stones hath Joshua raised up out of the midst of the Jordan, the place of the standing of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, and they are there unto this day.

¹⁰Kay ang mga sacerdote nga nanagyayong sa arca nanagtindog sa kinataliwad-an sa Jordan, hangtud nga nahimo ang tagsatagsa ka butang nga gisugo ni Jehova kang Josue nga ipasulti sa mga tawo, sumala sa tanang gisugo ni Moises kang Josue: ug ang mga tawo nanagdali ug nanabok.

¹⁰And the priests bearing the ark are standing in the midst of the Jordan till the completion of the whole thing which Jehovah commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua, and the people haste and pass over.

¹¹Ug nahitabo, nga sa nahurot na ang mga tawo pagtabok, gitabok usab ang arca ni Jehova, ug ang mga sacerdote, sa atubangan sa katawohan.

¹¹And it cometh to pass when all the people have completed to pass over, that the ark of Jehovah passeth over, and the priests, in the presence of the people;

¹²Ug ang mga anak ni Ruben, ug ang mga anak ni Gad, ug ang katunga nga banay ni Manases, nanabok nga sangkap sa hinagiban, una sa mga anak sa Israel, sumala sa gisulti kanila ni Moises.

¹²and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, pass over, by fifties, before the sons of Israel, as Moses had spoken unto them;

¹³May duol sa kap-atan ka libo nga sangkap sa hinagiban nga andam sa gubat, nanabok sa atubangan ni Jehova, ngadto sa panggubatan, ngadto sa mga kapatagan sa Jerico.

¹³about forty thousand, armed ones of the host, passed over before Jehovah for battle, unto the plains of Jericho.

¹⁴Niadtong adlawa, sa atubangan sa tibook Israel, si Jehova nagpadaku kang Josue; ug sila nangahadlok kang Josue , ingon sa ilang pagkahadlok kang Moises sa tanang mga adlaw sa iyang kinabuhi.

¹⁴On that day hath Jehovah made Joshua great in the eyes of all Israel, and they reverence him, as they reverenced Moses, all days of his life.

¹⁵Ug si Jehova namulong kang Josue, nga nag-ingon:

¹⁵And Jehovah speaketh unto Joshua, saying,

¹⁶Sugoa ang mga sacerdote nga nanagyayong sa arca sa pagpamatuod nga tumakas sila gikan sa Jordan.

¹⁶`Command the priests bearing the ark of the testimony, and they come up out of the Jordan.`

¹⁷Busa si Josue nagsugo sa mga sacerdote, nga nagaingon: Tumakas kamo gikan sa Jordan.

¹⁷And Joshua commandeth the priests, saying, `Come ye up out of the Jordan.`

¹⁸Ug nahitabo, sa diha nga ang mga sacerdote nga nanagyayong sa arca sa tugon ni Jehova, nakatakas na gikan sa kinataliwad-an sa Jordan, ug ang mga lapalapa sa mga tiil niining mga sacerdote nahitunob na sa yutang mamala, ang mga tubig sa Jordan namalik sa ilang kaugalingong dapit, ug ming-awas sa iyang mga daplin, ingon sa kaniadto.

¹⁸And it cometh to pass, in the coming up of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the midst of the Jordan — the soles of the feet of the priests have been drawn up into the dry ground — and the waters of the Jordan turn back to their place, and go as heretofore over all its banks.

¹⁹Ug ang katawohan nanakas sa Jordan, sa ikapulo nga adlaw sa nahaunang bulan, ug namuyo sa Gilgal, sa utlanan nga dapit sa silangan sa Jerico.

¹⁹And the people have come up out of the Jordan on the tenth of the first month, and encamp in Gilgal, in the extremity east of Jericho;

²⁰Ug kadtong napulo ug duha ka bato, nga ilang gikuha sa Jordan, gipahaluna ni Josue didto sa Gilgal.

²⁰and these twelve stones, which they have taken out of the Jordan, hath Joshua raised up in Gilgal.

²¹Ug namulong si Josue sa mga anak sa Israel, nga nagaingon: Sa diha nga ang inyong mga anak mangutana sa ilang amahan, nga magaingon: Unsa bay kahulogan niining mga batoha?

²¹And he speaketh unto the sons of Israel, saying, `When your sons ask their fathers hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones?

²²Nan suginlan ninyo ang inyong mga anak, sa pag-ingon: Ang Israel mitabok niining Jordan sa yutang mamala.

²²then ye have caused your sons to know, saying, On dry land Israel passed over this Jordan;

²³Kay si Jehova nga inyong Dios, nagmala sa katubigan sa Jordan sa inyong atubangan, hangtud nga kamo nakatabok, ingon sa gihimo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios, sa Dagat nga Mapula, nga iyang gimala sa atong atubangan hangtud nga kita nakatabok;

²³because Jehovah your God dried up the waters of the Jordan at your presence, till your passing over, as Jehovah your God did to the Red Sea which He dried up at our presence till our passing over;

²⁴Aron ang tanang mga katawohan sa kalibutan makaila sa kamot ni Jehova, nga kana makagagahum; aron nga kamo managkahadlok kang Jehova nga inyong Dios sa walay katapusan.

²⁴so that all the people of the land do know the hand of Jehovah that it [is] strong, so that ye have reverenced Jehovah your God all the days.`
