¹Karon ang Jerico tinakpan na pag-ayo tungod sa mga anak sa Israel: walay nakagula ug wala usab ing nakasulod.

¹(And Jericho shutteth itself up, and is shut up, because of the presence of the sons of Israel — none going out, and none coming in;)

²Ug si Jehova miingon kang Josue: Tan-awa, gihatag ko na sa imong kamot ang Jerico, ingon man ang iyang hari, ug ang mga tawong maisug.

²And Jehovah saith unto Joshua, `See, I have given into thy hand Jericho and its king — mighty ones of valour,

³Ug magalibut kamo sa ciudad, ang tanang mga tawo nga manggugubat magalibut kamo sa ciudad sa makausa. Sa ingon niini buhaton kini ninyo sulod sa unom ka adlaw.

³and ye have compassed the city — all the men of battle — going round the city once; thus thou dost six days;

⁴Ug pito ka mga sacerdote managdala ug pito ka mga trompeta nga sungay sa lakeng carnero nga mag-una sa arca; ug sa ikapito ka adlaw managlibut kamo sa ciudad sa makapito, ug ang mga sacerdote managpatunog sa mga trompeta.

⁴and seven priests do bear seven trumpets of the jubilee before the ark, and on the seventh day ye compass the city seven times, and the priests blow with the trumpets,

⁵Ug mahitabo, nga, sa diha nga sila magapatingog sa hataas nga pagpalanog sa trompeta sa sungay sa lakeng carnero, ug sa diha nga kamo makadungog sa tingog sa trompeta, ang tibook katawohan managsinggit sa makusog nga pagsinggit; ug ang paril sa ciudad mangatumpag sa pagkapatag gayud , ug ang katawohan manaka sa itaas tagsatagsa ka tawo magasunod sa tawo dayon ngadto sa unahan.

⁵and it hath been, in the prolongation of the horn of the jubilee, in your hearing the voice of the trumpet, all the people shout — a great shout, and the wall of the city hath fallen under it, and the people have gone up, each over-against him.`

⁶Ug si Josue ang anak nga lalake ni Nun, mitawag sa mga sacerdote, ug miingon kanila: Kuhaa ang arca sa tugon, ug ang pito ka mga sacerdote padad-a ug mga trompeta nga sungay sa carnero nga magauna sa arca ni Jehova.

⁶And Joshua son of Nun calleth unto the priests, and saith unto them, `Bear ye the ark of the covenant, and seven priests do bear seven trumpets of the jubilee before the ark of Jehovah;`

⁷Ug sila ming-ingon sa katawohan: Padayon kamo, ug libutan ninyo ang ciudad, ug ang mga tawo nga sangkap sa hinagiban paunha sa arca ni Jehova.

⁷and He said unto the people, `Pass over, and compass the city, and he who is armed doth pass over before the ark of Jehovah.`

⁸Ug tuod man; sa pagsulti ni Josue sa katawohan, ang pito ka mga sacerdote nga nanagdala ug pito ka mga trompeta nga sungay sa carnero sa atubangan ni Jehova, mingpadayon, ug nagpatunog sa ilang trompeta, ug ang arca sa tugon ni Jehova nagsunod kanila.

⁸And it cometh to pass, when Joshua speaketh unto the people, that the seven priests bearing seven trumpets of the jubilee before Jehovah have passed over and blown with the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is going after them;

⁹Ug ang mga tawo nga sangkap sa hinagiban nanag-una sa mga sacerdote nga nagapatunog sa trompeta, ug ang pangulahian nagasunod sa arca; ang mga sacerdote nagapatunog sa ilang mga trompeta sa nagalakaw sila.

⁹and he who is armed is going before the priests blowing the trumpets, and he who is gathering up is going after the ark, going on and blowing with the trumpets;

¹⁰Ug si Josue nagsugo sa katawohan, nga nag-ingon: Dili kamo magsinggit, ni ipadungog ninyo ang inyong tingog, ni magpagula kamo bisan usa ka pulong sa inyong mga baba, hangtud nga modangat ang adlaw nga isugo ko kaninyo ang pagpasinggit; unya maninggit kamo.

¹⁰and the people hath Joshua commanded, saying, `Ye do not shout, nor cause your voice to be heard, nor doth there go out from your mouth a word, till the day of my saying unto you, Shout ye — then ye have shouted.`

¹¹Busa iyang gipalibut ang arca ni Jehova sa ciudad, nga nagalibut niini sa makausa; ug sila nangadto sa campo, ug namuyo sila sa campo.

¹¹And the ark of Jehovah doth compass the city, going round once, and they come into the camp, and lodge in the camp.

¹²Ug si Josue misayo pagbangon sa pagkabuntag ug ang mga sacerdote nagyayong sa arca ni Jehova.

¹²And Joshua riseth early in the morning, and the priests bear the ark of Jehovah,

¹³Ug ang pito ka mga sacerdote nga nanagdala sa pito ka trompeta nga sungay sa carnero nanag-una sa arca ni Jehova nagapadayon gihapon, ug nagpatunog sa mga trompeta; ug nag-una kanila ang mga tawo nga sangkap sa hinagiban: ug ang pangulahian nagsunod sa arca ni Jehova: ang mga sacerdote nagapatunog sa mga trompeta sa nagalakaw sila.

¹³and seven priests bearing seven trumpets of the jubilee before the ark of Jehovah are walking, going on, and they have blown with the trumpets — and he who is armed is going before them, and he who is gathering up is going behind the ark of Jehovah — going on and blowing with the trumpets.

¹⁴Ug sa ikaduhang adlaw minglibut sila sa ciudad sa makausa, ug namalik ngadto sa campo: gihimo nila kini sulod sa unom ka adlaw.

¹⁴And they compass the city on the second day once, and turn back to the camp; thus they have done six days.

¹⁵Ug nahitabo sa ikapito ka adlaw nga sila namangon pagsayo sa pagbanagbanag, ug minglibut sa ciudad sa makapito sa ingon gihapon nga pagkaagi; ugaling niadtong adlawa minglibut sila sa ciudad sa nakapito.

¹⁵And it cometh to pass, on the seventh day, that they rise early, at the ascending of the dawn, and compass the city, according to this manner, seven times; (only, on that day they have compassed the city seven times);

¹⁶Ug nahitabo sa ikapito na, sa pagpatunog sa mga sacerdote sa mga trompeta, si Josue misulti sa katawohan: Suminggit kamo; kay si Jehova naghatag kaninyo sa ciudad.

¹⁶and it cometh to pass, at the seventh time, the priests have blown with the trumpets, and Joshua saith unto the people, `Shout ye, for Jehovah hath given to you the city;

¹⁷Ug ang ciudad pagalaglagon, bisan kana ug ang tanang mga butang nga anaa kaniya, tungod kang Jehova: si Rahab lamang, ang bigaon, ang mabuhi, siya ug ang tanan nga uban kaniya sa balay, tungod kay gitagoan niya ang mga sinugo nga atong gisugo.

¹⁷and the city hath been devoted, it and all that [is] in it, to Jehovah; only Rahab the harlot doth live, she and all who [are] with her in the house, for she hid the messengers whom we sent;

¹⁸Apan mahatungod kaninyo, magpahalayo lamang kamo sa mga laglagonong butang, kay tingali unya kong sa paglaglag ninyo niana, makuha ninyo ang butang nga pagalaglagon; sa ingon niana inyong himong tinunglo ang campo sa Israel, ug magasamok kaniya.

¹⁸and surely ye have kept from the devoted thing, lest ye devote [yourselves], and have taken from the devoted thing, and have made the camp of Israel become a devoted thing, and have troubled it;

¹⁹Apan ang tanang salapi, ug bulawan, ug tanang mga sudlanan nga tumbaga ug puthaw, gipakabalaan alang kang Jehova: igasulod kana sa tipiganan sa bahandi ni Jehova.

¹⁹and all the silver and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, holy they [are] to Jehovah; into the treasury of Jehovah they come.`

²⁰Busa ang katawohan naninggit, ug ang mga sacerdote nanagpatunog sa mga trompeta; ug nahitabo nga sa pagkadungog sa katawohan sa tingog sa trompeta, nga ang katawohan naninggit sa usa ka makusog nga tingog, ug ang kuta nagun-ob nga nahapla; sa pagkaagi nga ang mga tawo mingsulod sa ciudad, tagsatagsa ka tawo dayon ngadto sa iyang unahan, ug ilang gikuha ang ciudad.

²⁰And the people shout, and blow with the trumpets, and it cometh to pass when the people hear the voice of the trumpet, that the people shout — a great shout, and the wall falleth under it, and the people goeth up into the city, each over-against him, and they capture the city;

²¹Ug ang tanan nga diha sa ciudad, lalake ug babaye, bata ug tigulang, mga vacang lake, carnero ug asno, ilang gihurot paglaglag sa sulab sa pinuti.

²¹and they devote all that [is] in the city, from man even unto woman, from young even unto aged, even unto ox, and sheep, and ass, by the mouth of the sword.

²²Ug si Josue miingon sa duha ka tawo nga nagsusi sa yuta: Lakaw sa balay sa bigaon, ug pagul-a ang babaye, ug ang tanan nga anaa sa iyang balay, sumala sa inyong gipanumpa kaniya.

²²And to the two men who are spying the land Joshua said, `Go into the house of the woman, the harlot, and bring out thence the woman, and all whom she hath, as ye have sworn to her.`

²³Ug ang mga batan-on nga magsususi mingsulod ug gidala sa gawas si Rahab ug ang iyang amahan, ug ang iyang inahan, ug ang iyang mga igsoon ug ang tanan nga iya; gipagula usab nila ang tanan niyang mga kabanayan; ug sila gibutang nila sa gawas sa campo sa Israel.

²³And the young man, the spies, go in and bring out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all whom she hath; yea, all her families they have brought out, and place them at the outside of the camp of Israel.

²⁴Ug ang ciudad ug ang tanang mga butang nga dinha kaniya ilang gisunog sa kalayo; ang salapi lamang ug bulawan, ug mga sudlanan nga tumbaga ug puthaw maoy ilang gibutang sa tipiganan sa bahandi sa balay ni Jehova.

²⁴And the city they have burnt with fire, and all that [is] in it; only, the silver and the gold, and the vessels of brass, and of iron, they have given [to] the treasury of the house of Jehovah;

²⁵Apan si Rahab, ang bigaon, ug ang tanan nga didto sa sulod sa balay sa iyang amahan, ug ang tanan nga iya, giluwas nga buhi ni Josue; ug hangtud niining adlawa siya nagapuyo sa kinataliwad-an sa Israel, tungod kay gitagoan man niya ang mga sinugo nga gipaadto ni Josue sa pagsusi sa Jerico.

²⁵and Rahab the harlot, and the house of her father, and all whom she hath, hath Joshua kept alive; and she dwelleth in the midst of Israel unto this day, for she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

²⁶Ug niadtong panahona, sila gipapanumpa ni Josue sa pag-ingon: Tinunglo sa atubangan ni Jehova ang tawo nga magabangon ug magaugbok niining ciudad sa Jerico: iyang igaugbok ang tukoranan niana uban ang kapildihon sa iyang anak nga kamagulangan, ug igapatindog niya ang mga ganghaan niana uban ang kapildihon sa iyang anak nga kamanghuran.

²⁶And Joshua adjureth [them] at that time, saying, `Cursed [is] the man before Jehovah who raiseth up and hath built this city, [even] Jericho; in his first-born he doth lay its foundation, and in his youngest he doth set up its doors;`

²⁷Busa si Jehova nagauban kang Josue: ug ang iyang kabantug nasangyaw sa tibook nga yuta.

²⁷and Jehovah is with Joshua, and his fame is in all the land.
