1Ug sa iyang gitawag kaniya ang iyang napulo ug duha ka mga tinon-an, iyang gihatagan sila ug pagbulot-an ibabaw sa mga espiritu nga mahugaw, aron sila makaghingilin kanila, ug makagayo sa tanang sakit ug tanang balatian.
1And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave to them power over unclean spirits, so as to be casting them out, and to be healing every sickness, and every malady.
2Ug ang mga ngalan sa napulo ug duha ka mga apostoles mao kini: Ang nahauna, si Simon nga ginganlan si Pedro, ug si Andres nga igsoon niya; si Jacobo nga anak ni Zebedeo, ug si Juan nga igsoon niya;
2And of the twelve apostles the names are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3Si Felipe ug si Bartolome; si Tomas ug si Mateo nga maniningil sa buhis; si Jacobo nga anak ni Alfeo, ug si Lebeo nga ang iyang bansagon si Tadeo;
3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax-gatherer; James of Alpheus, and Lebbeus who was surnamed Thaddeus;
4Si Simon nga Canaanhon, ug si Judas Iscariote nga nagtugyan usab kaniya.
4Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who did also deliver him up.
5Kining napulo ug duha gipalakaw ni Jesus ug iyang gitugon sila sa pag-ingon: Dili kamo maglakaw sa dalan sa mga Gentil, ug dili kamo magsulod sa lungsod sa mga Samariahanon;
5These twelve did Jesus send forth, having given command to them, saying, `To the way of the nations go not away, and into a city of the Samaritans go not in,
6Kondili umadto kamo una sa mga carnero nga nagpangawala sa balay ni Israel.
6and be going rather unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7Ug samtang manlakaw kamo, magwali kamo sa pag-ingon: Haduol na ang gingharian sa langit.
7`And, going on, proclaim saying that, the reign of the heavens hath come nigh;
8Pagaayohon ninyo ang mga masakiton, pagahinloan ninyo ang mga sanlahon, pagabanhawon ninyo ang mga minatay, pagahinginlan ninyo ang mga yawa; gidawat ninyo sa walay bayad, nan ihatag usab ninyo sa walay bayad.
8infirm ones be healing, lepers be cleansing, dead be raising, demons be casting out — freely ye did receive, freely give.
9Dili kamo magbalon bisan bulawan, bisan salapi, bisan tumbaga sa inyong mga bakus,
9`Provide not gold, nor silver, nor brass in your girdles,
10Bisan puyo sa inyong pagpanaw, bisan duha ka saput, bisan sapin, bisan sungkod; kay ang mamomoo takus sa iyang kalan-on.
10nor scrip for the way, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor staff — for the workman is worthy of his nourishment.
11Ug bisan unsang lungsora kun balangaya nga inyong pagasudlan, susihon ninyo kong kinsa didto ang takus, ug didto pabilin hangtud nga kamo mogikan.
11`And into whatever city or village ye may enter, inquire ye who in it is worthy, and there abide, till ye may go forth.
12Ug sa pagsulod ninyo sa balay, paghatag kamo sa katahuran.
12And coming to the house salute it,
13Ug kong ang balay takus, pasagdi nga ang inyong pakigdait moabut sa ibabaw niya; apan kong dili takus, pasagdi nga ang inyong pakigdait mahiuli kaninyo.
13and if indeed the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it; and if it be not worthy, let your peace turn back to you.
14Ug bisan kinsa nga dili magadawat kaninyo, ug dili magapatalinghug sa inyong mga pulong, sa paggula ninyo gikan didto niadtong balaya kun lungsora, iyabyab ninyo ang abug sa inyong mga tiil.
14`And whoever may not receive you nor hear your words, coming forth from that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet,
15Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo nga maarangarang pa alang sa yuta sa Sodoma ug sa Gomorra sa adlaw sa paghukom, kay alang niadtong lungsora.
15verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
16Ania karon, ginasugo ko kamo ingon nga mga carnero sa taliwala sa mga lobo; busa, magmakinaadmanon kamo sama sa mga bitin, ug magmaligdong kamo sama sa mga salampati.
16`Lo, I do send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye therefore wise as the serpents, and simple as the doves.
17Apan magbantay kamo sa mga tawo, kay sila magatugyan kaninyo sa hukmanan, ug kamo pagahampakon nila sa sulod sa ilang mga sinagoga.
17And, take ye heed of men, for they will give you up to sanhedrims, and in their synagogues they will scourge you,
18Ug tungod kanako igahatud usab kamo sa atubangan sa mga gobernador ug sa mga hari, aron sa pagpamatuod kanako didto kanila ug sa mga Gentil.
18and before governors and kings ye shall be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19Apan kong kamo igatugyan dili kamo managkaguol kong unsaon ug kong unsa ang inyong igasulti, kay niadtong taknaa igahatag kaninyo ang inyong igasulti;
19`And whenever they may deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye may speak, for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak;
20Kay dili kamo mao ang magasulti, kondili ang Espiritu sa inyong Amahan nga magasulti diha kaninyo.
20for ye are not the speakers, but the Spirit of your Father that is speaking in you.
21Ug ang igsoon magatugyan sa igsoon ngadto sa kamatayon, ug ang amahan sa anak, ug ang mga anak magapanindog batok sa ilang mga amahan ug magapapatay kanila.
21`And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children shall rise up against parents, and shall put them to death,
22Ug pagadumtan kamo sa tanan tungod sa akong ngalan; apan ang magapadayon hangtud sa katapusan, kini maoy maluwas.
22and ye shall be hated by all because of my name, but he who hath endured to the end, he shall be saved.
23Ug kong pagalutoson kamo niining lungsora, pangalagiw kamo ngadto sa sunod, kay sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo nga dili ninyo mahurot sa paglibut ang mga kalungsoran sa Israel hangtud nga moanhi ang Anak sa Tawo.
23`And whenever they may persecute you in this city, flee to the other, for verily I say to you, ye may not have completed the cities of Israel till the Son of Man may come.
24Ang tinon-an dili labaw sa magtutudlo, bisan ang ulipon dili labaw sa iyang agalon.
24`A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his lord;
25Igo lamang sa tinon-an nga manig-ingon sa iyang magtutudlo, ug sa ulipon nga manig-ingon sa iyang agalon. Kong ang pangulo sa balay ginganlan ug beelzebub, unsa man kaha ka labi pa niini ang ingalan niadtong mga sakup sa iyang panimalay?
25sufficient to the disciple that he may be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord; if the master of the house they did call Beelzeboul, how much more those of his household?
26Busa, dili kamo magakahadlok kanila, kay walay bisan unsa nga nasalipdan nga dili igapadayag, bisan unsa nga tinago nga dili hibaloan.
26`Ye may not, therefore, fear them, for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed, and hid, that shall not be known;
27Ang ginaingon ko kaninyo sa mangitngit, igaingon ninyo sa mahayag, ug ang ginapatalinghugan ninyo sa igdulungog, igamantala ninyo sa mga ibubongan.
27that which I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light, and that which you hear at the ear, proclaim on the house-tops.
28Ug dili kamo managkahadlok sa mga nagapatay sa lawas apan dili arang makapatay sa kalag; apan kahadlokan ninyo una kadtong arang makalaglag sa kalag ingon man sa lawas didto sa infierno.
28`And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but fear rather Him who is able both soul and body to destroy in gehenna.
29Wala ba igabaligya ang duha ka mga gagmay nga langgam sa usa ka diyut? Ug bisan usa kanila dili mahulog sa yuta sa wala ang inyong Amahan.
29`Are not two sparrows sold for an assar? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father;
30Apan bisan pa ang mga buhok sa inyong ulo naisip nga tanan.
30and of you — even the hairs of the head are all numbered;
31Busa dili kamo managkahadlok; kamo mga labaw pa ug bili kay sa daghan nga mga langgam.
31be not therefore afraid, than many sparrows ye are better.
32Busa, bisan kinsa kadtong magasugid kanako sa atubangan sa mga tawo, ako magasugid usab kaniya sa atubangan sa akong Amahan nga atua sa langit.
32`Every one, therefore, who shall confess in me before men, I also will confess in him before my Father who is in the heavens;
33Apan bisan kinsa nga magalimod kanako sa atubangan sa mga tawo, igalimod ko usab siya sa atubangan sa akong Amahan nga atua sa langit.
33and whoever shall deny me before men, I also will deny him before my Father who is in the heavens.
34Dili kamo magdahum nga ako mianhi sa pagdala ug pakigdait sa yuta, wala ako moanhi sa pagdala ug pakigdait, kondili pinuti.
34`Ye may not suppose that I came to put peace on the earth; I did not come to put peace, but a sword;
35Kay mianhi ako sa pagbutang pakigbingkil sa tawo batok sa iyang amahan, ug sa anak nga babaye batok sa iyang inahan, ug sa umagad nga babaye batok sa iyang ugangan nga babaye;
35for I came to set a man at variance against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,
36Ug ang mga kaaway sa tawo mao ang sa iyang kaugalingong panimalay.
36and the enemies of a man are those of his household.
37Ang nahagugma sa amahan kun sa inahan labi pa kanako, dili takus kanako; ug ang nahagugma sa anak nga lalake kun sa anak nga babaye labi pa kanako, dili takus kanako.
37`He who is loving father or mother above me, is not worthy of me, and he who is loving son or daughter above me, is not worthy of me,
38Ug ang wala magapas-an sa iyang cruz ug magasunod sa ulahi nako, dili takus kanako.
38and whoever doth not receive his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
39Kinsa kadtong makakaplag sa iyang kinabuhi, kini mawala kaniya; ug kinsa kadtong mawad-an sa iyang kinabuhi tungod kanako, kini makaplagan niya.
39`He who found his life shall lose it, and he who lost his life for my sake shall find it.
40Ang nagadawat kaninyo, kanako nagadawat; ug ang nagadawat kanako, nagadawat niadtong nagsugo kanako.
40`He who is receiving you doth receive me, and he who is receiving me doth receive Him who sent me,
41Ang magadawat sa usa ka manalagna sa ngalan sa manalagna, magadawat sa balus nga iya sa manalagna; ug ang magadawat sa usa ka matarung sa ngalan sa matarung, magadawat sa balus nga iya sa matarung.
41he who is receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet`s reward, and he who is receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man`s reward,
42Ug bisan kinsa nga magapainum ug usa ka kabo lamang nga tubig nga mabugnaw sa usa niining mga gagmay sa ngalan sa tinon-an, sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo, nga dili gayud mawala ang iyang balus.
42and whoever may give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say to you, he may not lose his reward.`
