¹Niadtong taknaa nanagpanuol ang mga tinon-an kang Jesus, nga nagaingon: Kinsa ba ang labing daku sa gingharian sa langit?

¹At that hour came the disciples near to Jesus, saying, `Who, now, is greater in the reign of the heavens?`

²Ug gitawag ni Jesus ang usa ka bata, ug iyang gipataliwala kanila;

²And Jesus having called near a child, did set him in the midst of them,

³Ug miingon: Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo, nga kong dili kamo mamalik ug magpakabata, dili gayud kamo makasulod sa gingharian sa langit.

³and said, `Verily I say to you, if ye may not be turned and become as the children, ye may not enter into the reign of the heavens;

⁴Busa, bisan kinsa ang magpakaubos sama niini nga bata, kana mao ang labing daku sa gingharian sa langit.

⁴whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the reign of the heavens.

⁵Ug bisan kinsa nga magadawat sa usa ka bata nga sama niini sa akong ngalan, kanako nagadawat.

⁵`And he who may receive one such child in my name, doth receive me,

⁶Apan bisan kinsa nga magapapangdol sa usa niini nga mga gagmay, nga nagasalig kanako, maayo pa kaniya nga pagabitayan sa liog sa usa ka daku nga galingang bato ug nga igatunlod siya sa kahiladman sa dagat.

⁶and whoever may cause to stumble one of those little ones who are believing in me, it is better for him that a weighty millstone may be hanged upon his neck, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea.

⁷Alaut ang kalibutan tungod sa mga kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol! Kay kinahanglan nga ang mga kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol magaabut; apan alaut kadtong tawo nga tungod kaniya moabut ang kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol!

⁷`Wo to the world from the stumbling-blocks! for there is a necessity for the stumbling-blocks to come, but wo to that man through whom the stumbling-block doth come!

⁸Apan, kong ang imong kamot, kun ang imong tiil mao ang magapapangdol kanimo, putla kana, ug isalibay sa halayo kanimo; labing maayo pa kanimo nga magasulod ka sa kinabuhi nga piang kun kimay, kay sa adunay duha ka kamot ug duha ka tiil nga igahulog sa kalayo nga walay katapusan.

⁸`And if thy hand or thy foot doth cause thee to stumble, cut them off and cast from thee; it is good for thee to enter into the life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast to the fire the age-during.

⁹Ug kong ang imong mata mao ang makapapangdol kanimo, luska ug isalibay sa halayo kanimo; maayo pa kanimo nga magasulod ka sa kinabuhi nga usa lamang ang mata, kay sa adunay duha ka mata nga igahulog ka sa infierno sa kalayo.

⁹`And if thine eye doth cause thee to stumble, pluck it out and cast from thee; it is good for thee one-eyed to enter into the life, rather than having two eyes to be cast to the gehenna of the fire.

¹⁰Magmatngon kamo nga dili kamo magtamay sa usa niining mga gagmay; kay nagaingon ako kaninyo nga didto sa langit ang ilang mga manolonda nagatan-aw sa nawong sa akong Amahan nga atua sa langit.

¹⁰`Beware! — ye may not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you, that their messengers in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens,

¹¹Kay ang Anak sa tawo mianhi sa pagluwas sa nangawala.

¹¹for the Son of Man did come to save the lost.

¹²Unsay hunahuna ninyo? Kong usa ka tawo adunay usa ka gatus ka carnero, ug ang usa kanila mahisalaag, dili ba siya magabiya sa kasiyaman ug siyam, ug moadto sa kabukiran ug mangita niadtong nahisalaag?

¹²`What think ye? if a man may have an hundred sheep, and there may go astray one of them, doth he not — having left the ninety-nine, having gone on the mountains — seek that which is gone astray?

¹³Ug kong mahitabo nga iyang hikaplagan kadto, sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo nga malipay siya tungod niadto labi pa kay sa kasiyaman ug siyam nga wala mahisalaag.

¹³and if it may come to pass that he doth find it, verily I say to you, that he doth rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that have not gone astray;

¹⁴Sa maong pagkaagi, dili mao ang kabubut-on sa inyong Amahan nga atua sa langit, nga mawala ang usa niining mga gagmay.

¹⁴so it is not will in presence of your Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones may perish.

¹⁵Ug kong ang imong igsoong lalake makasala batok kanimo, umadto ka ug ipaila kaniya ang iyang sayop sa taliwala kanimo ug kaniya lamang. Kong magpatatinghug siya kanimo, nalukmay mo ang imong igsoon.

¹⁵`And if thy brother may sin against thee, go and show him his fault between thee and him alone, if he may hear thee, thou didst gain thy brother;

¹⁶Apan kong dili siya magpatalinghug kanimo, magdala ka ug kauban nga usa kun duha aron nga sa baba sa duha kun tolo ka saksi mamatud-an ang tanang pulong.

¹⁶and if he may not hear, take with thee yet one or two, that by the mouth of two witnesses or three every word may stand.

¹⁷Ug kong siya dili magpatalinghug kanila, igasulti mo sa iglesia, ug kong dili usab siya magpatalinghug sa iglesia, isipon mo siya nga Gentil ug maniningil sa buhis.

¹⁷`And if he may not hear them, say [it] to the assembly, and if also the assembly he may not hear, let him be to thee as the heathen man and the tax-gatherer.

¹⁸Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo nga kadtong tanan nga inyong gapuson sa yuta, pagagapuson sa langit; ug kadtong tanan nga inyong hubaran sa yuta pagahubaran sa langit.

¹⁸`Verily I say to you, Whatever things ye may bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever things ye may loose on the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens.

¹⁹Nag-ingon usab ako kaninyo nga kong duha kaninyo magahiusa sa yuta mahitungod sa bisan unsa nga butang nga pagapangayoon nila, kana pagabuhaton kanila sa akong Amahan nga atua sa langit.

¹⁹`Again, I say to you, that, if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask — it shall be done to them from my Father who is in the heavens,

²⁰Kay kong asa magakatigum ang duha kun tolo sa akong ngalan, atua ako didto sa taliwala nila.

²⁰for where there are two or three gathered together — to my name, there am I in the midst of them.`

²¹Unya sa miduol kaniya si Pedro miingon: Ginoo, makapila ko ba pasayloa? ang akong igsoon nga makasala batok kanako? Hangtud ba sa makapito?

²¹Then Peter having come near to him, said, `Sir, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him — till seven times?`

²²Si Jesus miingon kaniya: Wala ako magaingon kanimo nga hangtud sa makapito, Kondili hangtud sa kapitoan ka pito.

²²Jesus saith to him, `I do not say to thee till seven times, but till seventy times seven.

²³Tungod niini ang gingharian sa langit sama sa usa ka hari nga buot magpakighusay sa iyang mga ulipon.

²³`Because of this was the reign of the heavens likened to a man, a king, who did will to take reckoning with his servants,

²⁴Ug sa misugod siya sa pagpakighusay, gipaatubang kaniya ang usa nga may utang kaniya nga napulo ka libo ka talanton.

²⁴and he having begun to take account, there was brought near to him one debtor of a myriad of talents,

²⁵Apan sa wala siyay ikabayad, ang iyang agalon nagsugo nga ibaligya siya ug ang iyang asawa ug ang iyang mga anak, ug ang tanang mga butang niya; ug pagabayran ang utang.

²⁵and he having nothing to pay, his lord did command him to be sold, and his wife, and the children, and all, whatever he had, and payment to be made.

²⁶Busa ang ulipon mihapa ug nagpakilooy kaniya nga nagaingon: Ginoo, angan-angana ako, ug ikaw pagabayaran ko sa tanan.

²⁶The servant then, having fallen down, was bowing to him, saying, Sir, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all;

²⁷Ug ang agalon niadtong ulipon, sa giabut ug kalooy, gibuhian siya ug gipasaylo ang utang.

²⁷and the lord of that servant having been moved with compassion did release him, and the debt he forgave him.

²⁸Apan sa nakagula kadtong ulipon, hingkit-an niya ang usa sa mga masigka-ulipon niya nga nakautang kaniya sa usa ka gatus ka denario; ug sa gidakup niya, gitook niya ug giingon: Bayri ako sa utang mo.

²⁸`And, that servant having come forth, found one of his fellow-servants who was owing him an hundred denaries, and having laid hold, he took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that which thou owest.

²⁹Unya sa mihapa sa iyang mga tiil ang iyang masigkaulipon, nagapakilooy kaniya sa pag-ingon: Angan-angana ako, ug pagabayran ko ikaw.

²⁹His fellow-servant then, having fallen down at his feet, was calling on him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all;

³⁰Apan wala siya mobuot, kondili miadto ug gisulod niya kini sa bilanggoan hangtud nga makabayad sa utang.

³⁰and he would not, but having gone away, he cast him into prison, till he might pay that which was owing.

³¹Sa pagkakita sa iyang masigkaulipon niadtong nahitabo, nanagsubo sila sa hilabihan uyamut, ug miadto sila sa pag-asoy sa ilang agalon sa tanan nga nahitabo.

³¹`And his fellow-servants having seen the things that were done, were grieved exceedingly, and having come, shewed fully to their lord all the things that were done;

³²Unya gitawag siya sa iyang agalon, ug nag-ingon kini kaniya: Dautan nga ulipon, tanan kadto nga utang gipasaylo ko kanimo, kay nagapakilooy ka kanako;

³²then having called him, his lord saith to him, Evil servant! all that debt I did forgive thee, seeing thou didst call upon me,

³³Dili ba usab ikaw kinahanglan malooy sa imong masigkaulipon ingon sa akong pagkalooy kanimo?

³³did it not behove also thee to have dealt kindly with thy fellow-servant, as I also dealt kindly with thee?

³⁴Ug sa kaligutgut sa iyang agalon, gitugyan siya sa mga magsasakit hangtud nga hibayran ang tanan niya nga utang.

³⁴`And having been wroth, his lord delivered him to the inquisitors, till he might pay all that was owing to him;

³⁵Mao usab ang pagabuhaton kaninyo sa akong Amahan nga langitnon, kong sa inyong kasingkasing nga tagsatagsa dili kamo magapasaylo sa inyong mga igsoon.

³⁵so also my heavenly Father will do to you, if ye may not forgive each one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.`
