¹Ug si Jehova misulti kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

¹And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²Buhaton mo ang panimalus sa mga anak sa Israel mahatungod sa mga Madianhon; sa human niini igatipon ka ngadto sa imong katawohan.

²`Execute the vengeance of the sons of Israel against the Midianites — afterwards thou art gathered unto thy people.`

³Ug si Moises misulti sa katawohan, nga nagaingon: Sangkapa ninyo sa mga hinagiban ang mga tawo nga gikan sa inyong taliwala alang sa gubat aron mangadto sila batok sa Madian sa pagtuman sa panimalus ni Jehova sa Madian.

³And Moses speaketh unto the people, saying, `Be ye armed some of you for the host, and they are against Midian, to put the vengeance of Jehovah on Midian;

⁴Usa ka libo gikan sa tagsatagsa ka banay sa tanang kabanayan sa mga anak sa Israel, paadtoan ninyo sa gubat.

⁴a thousand for a tribe — a thousand for a tribe, to all the tribes of Israel — ye do send to the host.`

⁵Busa didtoy nahatag gikan sa mga linibo sa Israel, usa ka libo gikan sa tagsatagsa ka banay, napulo ug duha ka libo ang nasangkapan alang sa gubat.

⁵And there are given out of the thousands of Israel a thousand for a tribe, twelve thousand armed ones of the host;

⁶Ug si Moises nagpadala kanila: usa ka libo gikan sa tagsatagsa ka banay, ngadto sa gubat, sila ug si Pinees ang anak nga lalake ni Eleazar ang sacerdote, miadto sa gubat uban ang mga kasangkapan sa balaang puloy-anan, ug ang mga trompeta alang sa pagpagubok diha sa iyang kamot.

⁶and Moses sendeth them, a thousand for a tribe, to the host, them and Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, to the host; and the holy vessels, and the trumpets of the shouting, in his hand.

⁷Ug nakiggubat sila batok sa Madian, ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises, ug gipatay nila ang tanan nga lalake.

⁷And they war against Midian, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses, and slay every male;

⁸Ug napatay nila uban sa ilang mga gipamatay ang mga hari sa Madian: si Ebi, ug si Resem, ug si Sur, ug si Hur, ug si Reba, ang lima ka hari sa Madian: si Balaam usab ang anak nga lalake ni Beor, gipatay nila pinaagi sa espada.

⁸and the kings of Midian they have slain, besides their pierced ones, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian; and Balaam son of Beor, they have slain with the sword.

⁹Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nanagdala ug mga binihag sa mga babaye sa Madian, ug ang ilang mga bata nga magagmay, ug ang tanan nilang mga vaca, ug ang tanan nila nga mga panon, ug ang tanan nila nga bahandi, gidala nila nga mga inagaw.

⁹And the sons of Israel take captive the women of Midian, and their infants; and all their cattle, and all their substance, and all their wealth they have plundered;

¹⁰Ug ang tanan nila nga kalungsoran sa mga dapit diin sila magpuyo, ug ang tanan nilang mga campo, ilang gisunog sa kalayo.

¹⁰and all their cities, with their habitations, and all their towers, they have burnt with fire.

¹¹Ug gidala nila nga tanan nga inagaw, ug ang tanan nga dinakup maingon sa mga tawo mao man sa mga mananap,

¹¹And they take all the spoil, and all the prey, among man and among beast;

¹²Ug gidala nila ang mga binihag ug ang mga dinakup ug ang mga inagaw ngadto kang Moises ug kang Eleazar ang sacerdote, ug ngadto sa katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel, ngadto sa campo sa mga kapatagan sa Moab, nga didto sa haduol sa Jordan sa Jerico.

¹²and they bring in, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the company of the sons of Israel, the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto the camp, unto the plains of Moab, which [are] by Jordan, [near] Jericho.

¹³Ug si Moises ug si Eleazar ang sacerdote, ug ang tanang mga principe sa katilingban migula sa pagsugat kanila didto sa gawas sa campo.

¹³And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the company, go out to meet them, unto the outside of the camp,

¹⁴Ug si Moises nasuko sa mga pangulo sa kasundalohan, sa mga capitan sa mga linibo ug sa mga capitan sa mga ginatus, nga namauli gikan sa pag-alagad sa gubat.

¹⁴and Moses is wroth against the inspectors of the force, chiefs of the thousands, and chiefs of the hundreds, who are coming in from the host of the battle.

¹⁵Ug si Moises miingon kanila: Giluwas ba ninyo nga buhi ang tanang mga babaye?

¹⁵And Moses saith unto them, `Have ye kept alive every female?

¹⁶Ania karon, kini sila naghatag ug hinungdan sa mga anak sa Israel, tungod sa tambag ni Balaam, sa paglapas batok kang Jehova mahitungod sa mga butang ni Peor; ug sa ingon niana dihay kamatay sa kinataliwadaon sa katilingban ni Jehova.

¹⁶lo, they — they have been to the sons of Israel, through the word of Balaam, to cause a trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and the plague is in the company of Jehovah.

¹⁷Busa karon, pamatyon ninyo ang tanang mga lalake nga anaa sa taliwala sa mga bata, ug pamatyon ninyo ang tanan nga babaye nga nakaila ug lalake pinaagi sa paghigda uban kaniya.

¹⁷`And now, slay ye every male among the infants, yea, every woman known of man by the lying of a male ye have slain;

¹⁸Apan ang tanang mga bata nga babaye nga wala makaila sa lalake pinaagi sa paghigda uban kaniya igabilin ninyo sila nga buhi alang sa inyong kaugalingon.

¹⁸and all the infants among the women, who have not known the lying of a male, ye have kept alive for yourselves.

¹⁹Ug kamo magapabilin didto sa gawas sa campo sulod sa pito da adlaw: ug bisan kinsa kaninyo nga nakapatay sa bisan kinsa nga tawo, ug bisan kinsa nga nakahikap ug patay, magaulay kamo sa inyong kaugalingon sa ikatolo ug sa ikapito ka adlaw, kamo ug ang inyong mga binihag.

¹⁹`And ye, encamp ye at the outside of the camp seven days — any who hath slain a person, and any who hath come against a pierced one, ye cleanse yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day — ye and your captives;

²⁰Ug mahitungod sa tagsatagsa ka bisti, ug ang tanan nga hinimo sa panit, ug ang tanan nga binuhat sa balhibo sa kanding ug tanang mga butang nga hinimo sa kahoy pagaulayon ninyo sa inyong kaugalingon.

²⁰and every garment, and every skin vessel, and every work of goats` [hair], and every wooden vessel, ye yourselves cleanse.`

²¹Ug si Eleazar, ang sacerdote miingon sa mga tawo sa gubat nga miadto sa gubat: Kini mao ang tulomanon sa kasugoan nga gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

²¹And Eleazar the priest saith unto the men of the host who go in to battle, `This [is] the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses:

²²Apan ang bulawan, ug ang salapi, ang tumbaga, ang puthaw, ang estano, ug ang tingga:

²²only, the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

²³Ang tanan nga butang nga makasukol sa kalayo pagapaagihon ninyo sa kalayo, ug mamahinlo kini bisan pa niana kini pagaulayon uban sa tubig tungod sa kahugawan: apan ang tanan nga dili makasukol sa kalayo pagapaagion ninyo sa tubig.

²³every thing which may go into fire, ye cause to pass over through fire, and it hath been clean; only, with the water of separation it is cleansed, and all that may not go into fire, ye cause to pass over through water;

²⁴Ug kamo magalaba sa inyong mga bisti sa ikapito ka adlaw, ug kamo mamahinlo; ug sa human niana magasulod kamo sa campo.

²⁴and ye have washed your garments on the seventh day, and have been clean, and afterwards ye come in unto the camp.`

²⁵Ug si Jehova misulti kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

²⁵And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²⁶Paghimo ug tandaan sa mga dinakpan, maingon sa mga tawo mao man sa mga mananap, ikaw, ug si Eleazar, ang sacerdote, ug ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan sa katilingban;

²⁶`Take up the sum of the prey of the captives, among man and among beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers of the company;

²⁷Ug pagabahinon mo sa duruha ka bahin ang mga dinakpan sa taliwala sa mga tawo nga batid sa gubat, nga miadto sa gubat, ug sa tibook nga katilingban.

²⁷and thou hast halved the prey between those handling the battle who go out to the host and all the company;

²⁸Ug magahatag ka ug buhis kang Jehova gikan sa mga tawo sa gubat, nga miadto sa gubat: usa ka kalag sa lima ka gatus, maingon sa mga tawo ingon sa mga vaca, sa mga asno, ug sa mga carnero.

²⁸and thou hast raised a tribute to Jehovah from the men of war, who go out to the host, one body out of five hundred, of man, and of the herd, and of the asses, and of the flock;

²⁹Sa katunga nila magakuha kamo: ug igahatag mo kang Eleazar, ang sacerdote alang sa halad-nga-tinabyog kang Jehova:

²⁹from their half ye do take, and thou hast given to Eleazar the priest — the heave-offering of Jehovah.

³⁰Ug mahatungod sa katunga nga alang sa mga anak sa Israel magakuha ka ug usa sa matag-kalim-an sa mga tawo, sa mga vaca, sa mga asno, ug sa mga carnero, sa tanan nga kahayupan, ug igahatag mo sila sa mga Levihanon nga nagahupot sa pagbantay sa tabernaculo ni Jehova.

³⁰`And from the sons of Israel`s half thou dost take one possession out of fifty, of man, of the herd, of the asses, and of the flock, of all the cattle, and thou hast given them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.`

³¹Ug nanagbuhat si Moises ug si Eleazar ang sacerdote ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

³¹And Moses doth — Eleazar the priest also — as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

³²Ug karon ang inagaw, ug ang nahasalin sa binihag nga gikuha sa mga tawo sa pag-awayan, unom ka gatus ka libo ug kapitoan ka libo ug lima ka libo ka carnero,

³²And the prey, the residue of the spoil which the people of the host have spoiled, is of the flock six hundred thousand, and seventy thousand, and five thousand;

³³Ug kapitoan ug duha ka libo ka vaca.

³³and of the herd two and seventy thousand;

³⁴Ug kan-uman ug usa ka libo ka asno.

³⁴and of asses one and sixty thousand;

³⁵Ug katloan ug duha ka libo ka tawo ang tanan, sa mga babaye nga wala makaila ug lalake, pinaagi sa paghigda uban kaniya.

³⁵and of human beings — of the women who have not known the lying of a male — all the persons [are] two and thirty thousand.

³⁶Ug ang katunga, ang bahin sa mga miadto sa pag-awayan, ang gidaghanon tolo ka gatus ka libo katloan ka libo ug pito ka libo ug lima ka gatus ka carnero.

³⁶And the half — the portion of those who go out into the host — the number of the flock is three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, and seven thousand and five hundred.

³⁷Ug ang buhis nga kang Jehova sa mga carnero, unom ka gatus kapitoan ug lima.

³⁷And the tribute to Jehovah of the sheep is six hundred five and seventy;

³⁸Ug sa mga vaca, katloan ug unom ka libo: ug ang buhis nga kang Jehova, kapitoan ug duha.

³⁸and the herd [is] six and thirty thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and seventy;

³⁹Ug sa mga asno, katloan ka libo ug lima ka gatus niini ang mga buhis nga kang Jehova, kapitoan ug usa.

³⁹and the asses [are] thirty thousand and five hundred, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] one and sixty;

⁴⁰Ug sa mga tawo, napulo ug unom ka libo: ug kanila ang buhis nga kang Jehova, katloan ug duha ka tawo.

⁴⁰and the human beings [are] sixteen thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and thirty persons.

⁴¹Ug gihatag ni Moises ang buhis, tungod sa halad-nga-binayaw kang Jehova, kang Eleazar nga sacerdote ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

⁴¹And Moses giveth the tribute — Jehovah`s heave-offering — to Eleazar the priest, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

⁴²Ug sa katunga nga sa mga anak sa Israel, nga gibahin ni Moises sa mga tawo nga miadto sa pag-awayan.

⁴²And of the sons of Israel`s half, which Moses halved from the men who war —

⁴³(Karon ang katunga sa mga carnero nga sa katilingban tolo ka gatus ka libo, katloan ka libo ug pito ka libo ug lima ka gatus:

⁴³and the company`s half is, of the flock three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred;

⁴⁴Ug sa mga vaca, katloan ug unom ka libo:

⁴⁴and of the herd six and thirty thousand;

⁴⁵Ug sa mga asno, katloan ka libo ug lima ka gatus:

⁴⁵and of asses thirty thousand and five hundred;

⁴⁶Ug sa mga tawo, napulo ug unom ka libo):

⁴⁶and of human beings sixteen thousand —

⁴⁷Bisan, sa katunga nga alang sa mga anak sa Israel, mikuha si Moises ug usa ka tagsa ka kalim-an maingon sa mga tawo ingon man sa mga mananap, ug gihatag sila sa mga Levihanon nga nagahupot sa pagbantay sa tabernaculo ni Jehova ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

⁴⁷Moses taketh from the sons of Israel`s half the one possession from the fifty, of man and of beast, and giveth them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

⁴⁸Ug mingduol kang Moises ang mga pangulo niadtong kasundalohan, ang mga capitan sa mga linibo ug ang mga capitan sa mga ginatus ka sundalo .

⁴⁸And the inspectors whom the thousands of the host hath, (heads of the thousands and heads of the hundreds), draw near unto Moses,

⁴⁹Ug miingon sila kang Moises: Ang imong mga ulipon nanag-isip sa gidaghanon sa mga tawo sa pag-awayan nga diha sa among gahum ug walay bisan usa ka tawo nga nakulang kanamo.

⁴⁹and they say unto Moses, `Thy servants have taken up the sum of the men of war who [are] with us, and not a man of us hath been missed;

⁵⁰Ug naghalad kami kang Jehova sa halad, sa bisan unsa nga nakuha sa tagsatagsa sa mga alahas nga bulawan, mga baklaw sa kamot, mga pulceras, mga singsing, mga ariyos, ug mga talikala, aron sa pagbuhat sa pagtabon-sa-sala alang sa atong kalag sa atubangan ni Jehova.

⁵⁰and we bring near Jehovah`s offering, each that which he hath found, vessels of gold — chain, and bracelet, seal-ring, [ear]-ring, and bead — to make atonement for ourselves before Jehovah.`

⁵¹Ug si Moises ug ang sacerdote nga si Eleazar midawat sa bulawan gikan kanila bisan sa tanan nga alahas nga linilok.

⁵¹And Moses receiveth — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from them, every made vessel,

⁵²Ug ang tanan nga buhaton sa halad-nga-binayaw nga ilang gihalad kang Jehova, gikan sa mga capitan sa mga linibo, ug sa mga capitan sa mga ginatus ka sundalo , napulo ug unom ka libo ug pito ka gatus ug kalim-an ka siclo.

⁵²and all the gold of the heave-offering which they have lifted up to Jehovah is sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from heads of the thousands, and from heads of the hundreds;

⁵³(Kay ang mga tawo sa panggubatan nanguha sa inagaw, tagsatagsa alang sa iyang kaugalingon).

⁵³(the men of the host have spoiled each for himself);

⁵⁴Ug gikuha ni Moises ug sa sacerdote nga si Eleazar ang bulawan sa mga capitan sa mga linibo, ug sa mga capitan sa mga ginatus ka sundalo , ug gidala nila ngadto sa balong-balong nga pagatiguman, alang sa usa ka handumanan sa mga anak sa Israel sa atubangan ni Jehova.

⁵⁴and Moses taketh — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they bring it in unto the tent of meeting — a memorial for the sons of Israel before Jehovah.
