¹Karon si David tigulang na ug hupong sa mga adlaw; ug iyang gihimo si Salomon nga iyang anak nga lalake nga hari sa Israel.

¹And David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

²Ug iyang gitigum pagtingub ang tanang mga principe sa Israel, uban ang mga sacerdote ug ang mga Levihanon.

²And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

³Ug ang mga Levihanon giihap sukad sa katloan ka tuig ang panuigon ug ngadto sa itaas: ug ang ilang gidaghanon sumala sa ilang mga ulo tagsatagsa ka tawo, katloan ug walo ka libo.

³And the Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward; and their number, by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

⁴Gikan niini, kaluhaan ug upat ka libo ang mga magtatan-aw sa buhat sa balay ni Jehova; ug unom ka libo ang mga punoan ug mga maghuhukom.

⁴Of these, twenty-four thousand were to preside over the work of the house of Jehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;

⁵Ug upat ka libo ang mga magbalantay sa pultahan; ug upat ka libo ang nagadayeg kang Jehova uban sa mga tulonggon nga akong gipamuhat, miingon si David , aron sa pagdayeg uban niini.

⁵and four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised Jehovah with the instruments which I made, [said David,] to praise [therewith].

⁶Ug si David nagbahinbahin kanila sumala sa mga anak nga lalake ni Levi: si Gerson, ug si Coath, ug si Merari.

⁶And David divided them into courses according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

⁷Sa mga Gersonhon: si Ladan ug si Simei.

⁷Of the Gershonites: Laadan and Shimei.

⁸Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Ladan: si Jehiel ang pangulo, ug si Setan, ug si Joel, totolo.

⁸The sons of Laadan: the head was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.

⁹Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Simei: si Selomith, ug si Hasiel, ug si Aran, totolo. Kini mao ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan ni Ladan,

⁹The sons of Shimei: Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief fathers of Laadan.

¹⁰Ug ang mga anak nga lalake ni Simei: si Jahat, si Sina, ug si Jeus, ug si Berias. Kining upat maoy mga anak nga lalake ni Simei.

¹⁰And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Ziza, and Jeush, and Beriah. These were the four sons of Shimei.

¹¹Ug si Jahat mao ang pangulo, ug si Sisa ang ikaduha: apan si Jeus ug si Berias walay daghang mga anak nga lalake; busa giisip sila nga usa ka panimalay sa amahan.

¹¹And Jahath was the head, and Ziza the second; and Jeush and Beriah had not many sons: as father's house, therefore, they were reckoned as one.

¹²Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Coath: si Amram, si Ishar, si Hebron, ug si Usiel, upat.

¹²The sons of Kohath: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.

¹³Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Amram: si Aaron ug si Moises; ug si Aaron gibulag, aron iyang pagabalaanon ang labing balaan nga mga butang, siya ug ang iyang mga anak nga lalake sa walay katapusan, sa pagsunog sa incienso sa atubangan ni Jehova, sa pag-alagad kaniya, ug sa pagpanalangin sa iyang ngalan, sa walay katapusan.

¹³The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was separated, that he should be hallowed as most holy, he and his sons for ever, to offer before Jehovah, to do service to him, and to bless in his name for ever.

¹⁴Apan mahitungod kang Moises ang tawo sa Dios, ang iyang mga anak nga lalake gipanghinganlan uban sa balay ni Levi.

¹⁴-- And as to Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.

¹⁵Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Moises: si Gerson, ug si Eliezer.

¹⁵The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.

¹⁶Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Gerson: si Sebuel ang pangulo.

¹⁶The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the head.

¹⁷Ug ang mga anak nga lalake ni Eliezer mao kini : si Rehabia ang pangulo; ug si Eliezer walay laing mga anak nga lalake; apan ang mga anak nga lalake ni Rehabia daghan kaayo.

¹⁷And the sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the head; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

¹⁸Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Ishar: si Selomith ang pangulo.

¹⁸-- The sons of Jizhar: Shelomith the head.

¹⁹Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Hebron: si Jeria ang pangulo, si Amarias ang ikaduha, si Jahasiel ang ikatolo, ug si Jekamaan ang ikaupat.

¹⁹The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the head, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

²⁰Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Usiel: si Micha ang pangulo, ug si Isias ang ikaduha.

²⁰The sons of Uzziel: Micah the head, and Jishijah the second.

²¹Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Merari: si Mahli ug si Musi. Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Mahli: si Eleazar ug si Cis.

²¹The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

²²Ug si Eleazar namatay, ug walay mga anak nga lalake kondili mga anak nga babaye lamang: ug ang ilang mga kaigsoonan ang mga anak nga lalake ni Cis nangasawa kanila.

²²And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters; and their brethren the sons of Kish took them.

²³Ang mga anak nga lalake ni Musi: si Mahli ug si Eder, ug si Jeremoth, totolo.

²³The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.

²⁴Kini mao ang mga anak nga lalake ni Levi sumala sa mga balay sa ilang mga amahan, bisan ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan niadto kanila nga naihap, sa gidaghanon sa ngalan sumala sa ilang mga pundok, nga nanagbuhat alang sa pag-alagad sa balay ni Jehova, sukad sa kaluhaan ka tuig ang panuigon ug ngadto sa itaas.

²⁴These were the sons of Levi according to their fathers' houses, the chief fathers, as they were reckoned, by number of names by their polls, who did the work of the service of the house of Jehovah, from twenty years old and upward.

²⁵Kay si David nag-ingon: si Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel, naghatag ug pagpahulay sa iyang katawohan; ug siya nagpuyo sa Jerusalem sa walay katapusan.

²⁵For David said, Jehovah the God of Israel has given rest to his people, and he will dwell in Jerusalem for ever;

²⁶Ug ang mga Levihanon usab wala nay kinahanglan nga magdala sa tabernaculo ug sa tanang mga sudlanan niana alang sa pag-alagad diha.

²⁶and the Levites also have no more to carry the tabernacle, nor any of its vessels for its service.

²⁷Kay sa katapusang mga pulong ni David ang mga anak nga lalake ni Levi giihap sukad sa kaluhaan ka tuig ang panuigon ug ngadto sa itaas.

²⁷For by the last words of David was this [done], -- the numbering of the sons of Levi from twenty years old and upward.

²⁸Kay ang ilang katungdanan mao ang pag-alagad sa mga anak nga lalake ni Aaron alang sa pag-alagad sa balay ni Jehova, diha sa mga sawang, ug diha sa mga lawak, ug diha sa paghinlo sa tanang balaan nga mga butang bisan ang buhat sa pag-alagad sa balay sa Dios;

²⁸For their place was by the side of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purifying of all holy things, and [for] the work of the service of the house of God;

²⁹and for the loaves to be set in rows, and for the fine flour for the oblation, and for the unleavened cakes, and for [what is baked in] the pan, and for that which is saturated [with oil], and for all measure of capacity and size;

³⁰Ug sa pagtindog sa buntag-buntag aron sa pagpasalamat ug pagdayeg kang Jehova, ug sa maong paagi sa gabii usab;

³⁰and to stand every morning to thank and praise Jehovah, and likewise at even;

³¹Ug sa paghalad sa tanang mga halad-nga-sinunog kang Jehova, sa mga adlaw nga igpapahulay, sa mga bag-ong bulan, ug sa mga nabatasang fiesta, sa gidaghanon sumala sa tulomanon mahitungod niini, sa kanunay sa atubangan ni Jehova;

³¹and for all burnt-offerings offered up to Jehovah on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the ordinance concerning them, continually, before Jehovah;

³²Ug nga ilang bantayan ang sugo sa balong-balong nga pagatiguman, ug ang sugo sa balaang dapit, ug ang sugo sa mga anak nga lalake ni Aaron nga ilang mga kaigsoonan, tungod sa pag-alagad sa balay ni Jehova.

³²and they kept the charge of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of Jehovah.
