¹Ginabalita karon nga adunay pagpakighilawas diha kaninyo, ug ang mao nga pagpakighilawas walay sama bisan sa mga Gentil, sa pagkaagi nga ang usa kaninyo nagabaton sa asawa sa iyang amahan.

¹It is universally reported [that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as [is] not even among the nations, so that one should have his father's wife.

²Ug kamo nagapaburot, ug wala hinonoa mangasubo kamo, aron kuhaon sa taliwala kaninyo ang nagabuhat niini.

²And *ye* are puffed up, and ye have not rather mourned, in order that he that has done this deed might be taken away out of the midst of you.

³Kay ako, sa pagkamatuod, nga wala diha kaninyo sa lawas apan anaa sa espiritu, ingon nga anaa na ako kaninyo nakaghukom ako kaniya nga nakabuhat niining butanga;

³For *I*, [as] absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged as present,

⁴Sa ngalan sa atong Ginoong Jesus, sa nanagtigum kamo, ug ang akong espiritu, uban ang gahum sa atong Ginoong Jesus,

⁴[to deliver,] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (ye and my spirit being gathered together, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ), him that has so wrought this:

⁵Sa pagtugyan kang satanas sa maong makasasala sa paglaglag sa unod; aron ang espiritu pagaluwason sa adlaw sa Ginoong Jesus.

⁵to deliver him, [I say,] [being] such, to Satan for destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁶Ang inyong panaghimaya dili maayo. Wala ba kamo manghibalo nga ang diyutay nga levadura nagapatubo sa tibook nga minasa?

⁶Your boasting [is] not good. Do ye not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

⁷Busa hugasa ninyo ang daang levadura aron mabag-o kamo nga minasa, maingon nga kamo minasa nga walay levadura; kay ngani ang atong pasko nga si Cristo, gihalad na alang kanato.

⁷Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened. For also our passover, Christ, has been sacrificed;

⁸Busa saulogon nato ang fiesta, dili sa daan nga levadura, dili bisan sa levadura sa pagkamadinauton ug sa pagkadautan, kondili sa tinapay nga walay levadura sa pagkamaminatud-on ug sa kamatuoran.

⁸so that let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

⁹Nagsulat ako kaninyo sa akong sulat nga dili kamo makigkauban sa mga makighilawason;

⁹I have written to you in the epistle not to mix with fornicators;

¹⁰Apan dili kay magpahilayo gayud sa mga makighilawason niini nga kalibutan, kun sa mga masinahon, kun sa mga malupigon, kun sa mga nanagsimba sa mga diosdios; kay niini nga pagkaagi, kinahanglan nga mogula kamo sa kalibutan.

¹⁰not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the avaricious and rapacious, or idolaters, since [then] ye should go out of the world.

¹¹Apan sa ingon niini nga kahimtanga nagsulat ako kaninyo, nga dili kamo makighugoy-hugoy kang bisan kinsa nga ginganlang igsoon, kong siya makighilawason, kun masinahon, kun magsisimba sa mga diosdios, kun mapanamastamason, kun palahubog, kun malupigon; bisan sa pagkaon dili gayud kamo makigsalo kaniya.

¹¹But now I have written to you, if any one called brother be fornicator, or avaricious, or idolater, or abusive, or a drunkard, or rapacious, not to mix with [him]; with such a one not even to eat.

¹²Kay unsay labut ko sa paghukom kanila nga anaa sa gawas? Wala ba ninyo pagahukmi ang mga anaa sa sulod?

¹²For what have *I* [to do] with judging those outside also? *ye*, do not ye judge them that are within?

¹³Apan sa mga atua sa gawas ang Dios nagahukom. Kuhaon ninyo kanang tawong dautan gikan sa taliwala ninyo.

¹³But those without God judges. Remove the wicked person from amongst yourselves.
