¹Ug si Salomon anak nga lalake ni David nahimong malig-on sa iyang gingharian, ug si Jehova nga iyang Dios nag-uban kaniya, ug nagpadaku kaniya sa hilabihan gayud.

¹And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and Jehovah his God was with him and magnified him exceedingly.

²Ug si Salomon namulong sa tibook nga Israel, sa mga capitan sa mga linibo ug sa mga ginatus, ug sa mga maghuhukom, ug sa tagsatagsa ka principe sa tibook Israel, ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan.

²And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to all the princes of all Israel, the chief fathers;

³Busa si Salomon, ug ang tibook nga katilingban uban kaniya, ming-adto sa hataas nga dapit nga didto sa Gabaon; kay didto ang balong-balong nga pagatiguman sa Dios, nga gihimo ni Moises nga alagad ni Jehova sa kamingawan.

³and Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place at Gibeon; for there was God's tent of meeting which Moses the servant of Jehovah had made in the wilderness.

⁴Apan ang arca sa Dios gidala ni David gikan sa Kiriath-jearim ngadto sa dapit nga giandam ni David alang niini; kay siya nagtukod sa usa ka balong-balong alang niini didto sa Jerusalem.

⁴But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the [place] that David had prepared for it; for he had spread a tent for it at Jerusalem.

⁵Labut pa ang halaran nga tumbaga, nga gihimo ni Bezaleel ang anak nga lalake ni Uri, nga anak nga lalake ni Hur didto atbang sa tabernaculo ni Jehova: ug si Salomon ug ang katilingban nangita niini.

⁵And the brazen altar that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of Jehovah; and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

⁶Ug si Salomon miadto sa halaran nga tumbaga sa atubangan ni Jehova, nga diha sa balong-balong ng pagatiguman, ug mihalad sa usa ka libo nga mga halad-nga-sinunog sa ibabaw niini.

⁶And Solomon offered there upon the brazen altar before Jehovah which was at the tent of meeting; and he offered up a thousand burnt-offerings upon it.

⁷Niadtong gabhiona ang Dios mipakita kang Salomon, ug miingon kaniya: Pangayo sa bisan unsa nga akong ihatag kanimo.

⁷In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give thee.

⁸Ug si Salomon miingon sa Dios: Ikaw nagapakita sa dakung mahigugmaong-kalolot kang David nga akong amahan, ug naghimo kanako nga hari ilis kaniya.

⁸And Solomon said to God, Thou hast shewn unto David my father great loving-kindness, and hast made me king in his stead.

⁹Karon, Oh Jehova nga Dios, himoa nga magmalig-on ang imong saad kang David nga akong amahan; kay ikaw naghimo kanako nga hari ibabaw sa usa ka katawohan nga sama sa abug sa yuta sa gidaghanon.

⁹Now, Jehovah Elohim, let thy word unto David my father be firm; for thou hast made me king over a people numerous as the dust of the earth.

¹⁰Hatagi ako karon sa kaalam ug kahibalo, aron ako mogula ug mosulod sa atubangan niining katawohan; kay kinsa ang makahukom niining imong katawohan, nga daku kaayo?

¹⁰Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy great people?

¹¹Ug ang Dios miingon kang Salomon: Tungod kay kini diha sa imong kasingkasing, ug ikaw wala mangayo ug mga bahandi, pagkadato, kun kadungganan, ni sa kinabuhi nila nga nagadumot kanimo, ni mangayo ka sa hataas nga kinabuhi; kondili nangayo sa kaalam ug kahibalo alang sa imong kaugalingon, aron ikaw makahukom sa akong katawohan, nga sa ibabaw kanila gihimo ko ikaw nga hari:

¹¹And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of them that hate thee, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked for thyself wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

¹²Kaalam ug kahibalo ihatag kanimo; ug ako magahatag kanimo ug mga bahandi, ug pagkadato, ug kadungganan, nga niana walay hari nga nakabaton sa nahauna kanimo; ni may misunod pa nga sama kanimo.

¹²wisdom and knowledge are granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches and wealth and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall any after thee have the like.

¹³Busa si Salomon miabut gikan sa hataas nga dapit nga didto sa Gabaon, gikan sa atubangan sa balong-balong nga pagatiguman, ngadto sa Jerusalem; ug siya naghari sa ibabaw sa Israel.

¹³Then Solomon came back [from] the high place at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tent of meeting, and reigned over Israel.

¹⁴Ug gitigum si Salomon ang mga carro ug ang mga magkakabayo: ug siya may usa ka libo ug upat ka gatus nga carro, ug napulo ug duha ka libong mga magkakabayo, nga iyang gibutang sa sulod sa mga ciudad sa mga carro, ug uban sa hari sa Jerusalem.

¹⁴And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

¹⁵Ug gihimo sa hari ang salapi ug bulawan nga daw ingon sa mga bato diha sa Jerusalem, ug ang mga cedro iyang gihimo nga ingon sa mga kahoy nga sicomoro nga anaa sa kapatagan, sa pagkadaghan.

¹⁵And the king made silver and gold in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundance.

¹⁶Ug ang mga kabayo nga diha kang Salomon gidala gikan sa Egipto; ang mga magpapatigayon sa hari mingdawat niini sa pinanon, tagsatagsa ka panon sa usa ka bili.

¹⁶And the exportation of horses that Solomon had was from Egypt: a caravan of the king's merchants fetched a drove [of horses], at a price.

¹⁷Ug ilang gikuha ug gidala gikan sa Egipto ang usa ka carro sa unom ka gatus ka siclo nga salapi, ug usa ka kabayo sa usa ka gatus ug kalim-an: ug sa ingon niana alang sa tanan nga mga hari sa mga Hetehanon, ug sa mga hari sa Siria, ilang gidala sila sumala sa ilang nahimo.

¹⁷And they fetched up and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so they brought [them] by their means, for all the kings of the Hittites and for the kings of Syria.
