¹Ug nahitabo sa ikasiyam ka tuig sa iyang paghari, sa ikanapulo ka bulan, sa ikanapulo ka adlaw sa bulan, nga si Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia miabut, siya ug ang tibook niya nga kasundalohan, batok sa Jerusalem, ug mipahaluna batok niana; ug sila nagtukod ug mga kuta sa libut batok niana,

¹And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, [that] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built turrets against it round about.

²Busa ang ciudad gilibutan hangtud sa ikanapulo ug usa ka tuig ni hari Sedecias.

²And the city was besieged until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

³Sa ikasiyam ka adlaw sa ikaupat ka bulan ang gutom midaku na sa ciudad, mao nga walay tinapay alang sa katawohan sa yuta.

³On the ninth of the [fourth] month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

⁴Unya ang bahin sa kuta sa ciudad gibuhoan, ug ang tanang mga tawo sa gubat nangalagiw sa gabii sa alagianan nga ganghaan sa tunga sa duha ka kuta nga tupad sa tanaman sa hari, (karon ang mga Caldeahanon nagalibut na sa ciudad sa bisan diin); ug ang hari mikalagiw nga miagi sa dalan sa Araba.

⁴And the city was broken into; and all the men of war [fled] by night, by the way of the gate between the two walls, which [leads] to the king's garden (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about); and they went the way toward the plain.

⁵Apan ang kasundalohan nga mga Caldeahanon minggukod sa hari, ug hing-apsan siya sa kapatagan sa Jerico; ug ang iyang tanang kasundalohan nanagkatibulaag gikan kaniya.

⁵And the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

⁶Unya ilang gidakup ang hari, ug gidala siya ngadto sa hari sa Babilonia ngadto sa Ribla; ug ilang gihukman siya.

⁶And they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon unto Riblah; and they pronounced judgment upon him,

⁷Ug ilang gipatay ang mga anak nga lalake ni Sedecias sa iyang atubangan, ug gilusok ang mga mata ni Sedecias, ug gigapus siya sa talikala, ug gidala siya ngadto sa Babilonia.

⁷and slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with chains of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

⁸Karon sa ikalima ka bulan, sa ikapito ka adlaw sa bulan nga maoy ikanapulo ug siyam ka tuig ni hari Nabucodonosor, hari sa Babilonia, miabut sa Jerusalem si Nabuzaradan, ang capitan sa magbalantay, usa ka alagad sa hari sa Babilonia.

⁸And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month, which was in the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzar-adan, captain of the body-guard, servant of the king of Babylon, came unto Jerusalem;

⁹Ug iyang gisunog ang balay ni Jehova, ug ang balay sa hari; ug ang tanan nga kabalayan sa Jerusalem, bisan ang tagsatagsa ka dagku nga balay, gisunog niya sa kalayo.

⁹and he burned the house of Jehovah, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; and every great [man's] house he burned with fire.

¹⁰Ug gigun-ob ang kuta nga naglibut sa Jerusalem sa tibook kasundalohan sa mga Caldeahanon, nga diha uban sa capitan sa magbalantay.

¹⁰And all the army of the Chaldeans that were with the captain of the body-guard broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

¹¹Ug ang katawohan nga nanghibilin sa ciudad, ug kadtong nanghimulag, nga nangahulog sa kamot sa hari sa Babilonia, ug ang salin sa panon sa katawohan, gipanagdala nga binihag ni Nabuzaradan ang capitan sa magbalantay.

¹¹And Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard carried away captive the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the deserters that had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

¹²Apan gibilin sa capitan sa magbalantay ang labing kabus didto sa yuta aron mahimong magbalantay sa parrasan ug mga mag-uuma.

¹²But the captain of the body-guard left of the poor of the land for vinedressers and husbandmen.

¹³Ug ang mga haligi nga tumbaga nga dinha sa balay ni Jehova, ug ang mga salanggaan, ug ang tumbaga nga dagat-dagat nga diha sa balay ni Jehova, gipanugmok, sa mga Caldeahanon, ug gidala ang mga tumbaga niini ngadto sa Babilonia.

¹³And the brazen pillars that were in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of Jehovah, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and carried the brass thereof to Babylon.

¹⁴Ug ang mga kolon, ug ang mga pala, ug ang mga igpapalong sa lamparahan , ug ang mga cuchara, ug ang tanan nga mga sudlanan nga tumbaga nga ilang ginagamit sa pag-alagad, ilang gipanagdala.

¹⁴The cauldrons also and the shovels and the knives and the cups, and all the vessels of copper wherewith they ministered, they took away.

¹⁵Ug ang mga tunawan ug ang mga hunawanan, kadtong hinimo sa bulawan, diha sa bulawan, ug kadtong hinimo sa salapi, diha sa salapi gipanguha sa capitan sa magbalantay.

¹⁵And the censers and the bowls, that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, the captain of the body-guard took away.

¹⁶Ang duha ka haligi, ang usa ka dagat-dagat, ug ang mga sanggaan, nga gihimo ni Salomon alang sa balay ni Jehova, ang tumbaga sa tanan niining mga sudlanan dili arang matimbang.

¹⁶The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of Jehovah: for the brass of all these vessels there was no weight.

¹⁷The height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the capital upon it was brass, and the height of the capital three cubits; and the network and the pomegranates, upon the capital round about, all of brass: and similarly for the second pillar with the network.

¹⁸Ug gidala sa capitan sa magbalantay si Seraias nga punoan sa sacerdote, ug si Sophonias ang ikaduhang sacerdote, ug ang tolo ka magbalantay sa bakanan:

¹⁸And the captain of the body-guard took Seraiah the high priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.

¹⁹Ug gikan sa ciudad gikuha niya ang usa ka punoan nga sinaligan sa mga tawo sa gubat; ug ang lima ka tawo nga gikan kanila nga nakakita sa nawong sa hari, nga hikaplagan diha sa ciudad; ug ang escriba, ang capitan sa panon, nga maoy nagpatigum sa katawohan sa yuta; ug kan-uman ka tawo sa katawohan sa yuta nga hingkaplagan sa ciudad.

¹⁹And out of the city he took a chamberlain that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, who were found in the city, and the scribe of the captain of the host, who enrolled the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land that were found in the city.

²⁰Ug sila gikuha ni Nabuzaradan ang capitan sa magbalantay, ug gidala ngadto sa hari sa Babilonia sa Ribla.

²⁰And Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah;

²¹Ug gipanamaran sila sa hari sa Babilonia, ug gipamatay sila didto sa Ribla sa yuta sa Hamath. Busa ang Juda gidala nga binihag gikan sa iyang yuta.

²¹and the king of Babylon smote them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his land.

²²Ug mahitungod sa katawohan nga nahibilin sa yuta sa Juda, nga gibiyaan ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia, kanila si Gedalias gihimo niya nga gobernador, ang anak nga lalake ni Ahicam, anak nga lalake ni Saphan.

²²And [as for] the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left behind, over them he appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan.

²³Karon sa pagkadungog sa tanan nga mga capitan sa kasundalohan, sila ug ang ilang mga tawo, nga gihimo sa hari sa Babilonia si Gedalias nga gobernador, ming-adto sila kang Gedalias sa Mizpa, bisan si Ismael ang anak nga lalake ni Nathanias, ug si Johanan ang anak nga lalake ni Carea, ug si Seraia ang anak nga lalake ni Tanhumeth nga Netofitanhon, ug si Jaazanias ang anak nga lalake sa Maachathanon, sila ug ang ilang mga tawo.

²³And all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah, and they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, namely, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

²⁴Ug si Gedalias nanumpa kanila ug sa ilang mga tawo, ug miingon kanila: Ayaw kahadlok tungod sa mga alagad sa mga Caldeahanon: Pumuyo kamo sa yuta, ug mag-alagad sa hari sa Babilonia, ug kana mamaayo kaninyo.

²⁴And Gedaliah swore unto them and to their men, and said to them, Fear not to be servants of the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

²⁵Apan nahitabo sa ikapito ka bulan nga si Ismael ang anak nga lalake ni Nathanias ang anak nga lalake ni Elisama, sa harianong kaliwat, miabut nga inubanan sa napulo ka tawo niya, ug gisamaran si Gedalias, mao nga siya namatay, ug ang mga Judio ug ang mga Caldeahanon nga diha uban kaniya sa Mizpa.

²⁵And it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal seed, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.

²⁶Ug ang tibook katawohan, gagmay ug dagku, ug ang mga capitan sa kasundalohan, ming-alsa ug ming-adto sa Egipto; kay sila nangahadlok sa mga Caldeahanon.

²⁶And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces, arose and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.

²⁷Ug nahitabo sa ikakatloan ug pito ka tuig sa pagkabihag ni Joachin ang hari sa Juda, sa ikanapulo ug duha ka bulan, sa ikakaluhaan ug pito ka adlaw sa bulan, nga si Ebilmerodach nga hari sa Babilonia, sa tuig nga siya nagsugod sa paghari, iyang gibuhian si Joachin nga hari sa Juda, gikan sa bilanggoan;

²⁷And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh of the month, [that] Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

²⁸and he spoke kindly to him, and set his seat above the seat of the kings that were with him in Babylon.

²⁹And he changed his prison garments; and he ate bread before him continually all the days of his life;

³⁰Ug alang sa iyang magasto gihatagan siya sa hari sa kanunay, sa tagsatagsa ka adlaw usa ka bahin, sa tanang mga adlaw sa iyang kinabuhi.

³⁰and his allowance was a continual allowance given him by the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.
