¹Karon mao kini ang katapusang mga pulong ni David. Si David ang anak nga lalake ni Isai, miingon: Ug ang tawo nga gituboy sa itaas miingon: Ang dinihog sa Dios ni Jacob, Ug ang matam-is nga salmista sa Israel:

¹Now these are the last words of David: David the son of Jesse saith, And the man who was raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel saith,

²Ang Espiritu ni Jehova namulong pinaagi kanako, Ug ang iyang pulong diha sa ibabaw sa akong dila.

²The Spirit of Jehovah spoke by me, And his word was on my tongue.

³Ang Dios sa Israel miingon: Ang Bato sa Israel namulong kanako; Usa nga nagahari sa mga tawo sa pagkamatarung. Nga nagahari diha sa kahadlok sa Dios,

³The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me, The ruler among men shall be just, Ruling in the fear of God;

⁴Siya nahisama sa kahayag sa kabuntagon sa diha nga mosubang na ang adlaw nga nagasilang, Usa ka buntag nga walay mga panganod, Sa diha nga ang mahutay nga balili mogitib sa yuta, Pinaagi sa masanag nga pagsilang tapus ang ulan.

⁴And [he shall be] as the light or the morning, [like] the rising of the sun, A morning without clouds; [When] from the sunshine, after rain, The green grass springeth from the earth.

⁵Sa pagkatinuod ang akong balay dili ingon niana uban sa Dios; Apan siya naghimo uban kanako sa usa ka walay-katapusan nga tugon, Pinahamutang sa tanang mga butang ug sa walay duhaduha: Kay kini mao ang tanan ko nga kaluwasan ug tanan ko nga tinguha , Bisan pa nga wala na kini niya pagpatuboa.

⁵Although my house be not so before ùGod, Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in every way and sure; For [this is] all my salvation, and every desire, Although he make [it] not to grow.

⁶Ang mga dautan mamahimo silang tanan nga sama sa mga tunok nga igatambog sa kalayo, Tungod kay sila dili madala pinaagi sa kamot;

⁶But [the sons] of Belial [are] all of them as thorns thrust away, Because they cannot be taken with hands;

⁷Apan ang tawo nga magatandog kanila, Kinahanglan nga masangkap sa hinagiban nga puthaw ug sa ulongan sa usa ka bangkaw: Ug sila pagasunogon gayud paghurot sa kalayo, sa ilang mga dapit.

⁷And the man that will touch them provideth himself with iron and the staff of a spear; And they shall be utterly burned with fire in [their] place.

⁸Kini mao ang mga ngalan sa mga gamhanang tawo nga diha kang David: Si Josebbasebeth, usa ka Tachmonhanon, pangulo sa mga capitan; mao usab si Adino, ang Esnihanon batok sa walo ka gatus nga napatay sa nakausa.

⁸These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Joseb-Bassebeth, Tachkemonite the chief of the captains: he was Adino the Eznite; he [fought] against eight hundred, slain [by him] at one time.

⁹Ug sunod kaniya mao si Eleazar, ang anak nga lalake ni Dodo anak nga lalake sa usa ka Ahohihanon, usa sa totolo ka mga gamhanang tawo uban ni David, sa diha nga gisuklan nila ang mga Filistehanon nga didto nanaghiusa pagtingub sa paggubat, ug ang mga tawo sa Israel nanagpanlakaw.

⁹And after him, Eleazar the son of Dodo the son of an Ahohite: he was one of the three mighty men with David, when they had defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone up.

¹⁰Siya mitindog, ug gipanigbas ang mga Filistehanon hangtud nga ang iyang kamot naluya, ug ang iyang kamot mitapot sa pinuti; ug si Jehova naghimo ug usa ka dakung pagdaug niadtong adlawa; ug ang katawohan nanagpamalik lamang sunod kaniya sa pagdala sa inagaw.

¹⁰He arose and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave to the sword; and Jehovah wrought a great deliverance that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

¹¹Ug sunod kaniya mao si Samma, ang anak nga lalake ni Age, usa ka Araihanon. Ug ang mga Filistehanon natigum pagtingub sa usa ka panon, diin ang usa ka tanamang puno sa balatong; ug ang katawohan nangalagiw gikan sa mga Filistehanon.

¹¹And after him, Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite: the Philistines were gathered into a troop, and there was there a plot of ground full of lentils, and the people had fled before the Philistines;

¹²Apan siya mitindog sa kinataliwad-an sa tanaman ug nanalipod niini, ug nagpatay sa mga Filistehanon; ug si Jehova naghimo ug usa ka dakung pagdaug.

¹²and he stood in the midst of the plot and delivered it, and smote the Philistines, and Jehovah wrought a great deliverance.

¹³Ug totolo sa katloan ka punoan nga mga tawo minglugsong, ug ming-adto kang David sa panahon sa ting-ani ngadto sa langub sa Adullam; ug ang panon sa mga kasundalohang Filistehanon mingpahaluna diha sa walog sa Raphaim.

¹³And three of the thirty chiefs went down, and came to David in the harvest time to the cave of Adullam, when the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

¹⁴Ug si David diay didto sa malig-ong salipdanan, ug ang kuta sa mga Filistehanon didto sa Beth-lehem.

¹⁴And David was then in the stronghold; and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.

¹⁵Ug si David gihidlaw ug miingon: Oh nga may usa unta nga mohatag kanako sa tubig aron imnon gikan sa atabay sa Beth-lehem, nga tupad sa ganghaan!

¹⁵And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me to drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate!

¹⁶Ug ang totolo ka mga gamhanang tawo mingsuot sa taliwala sa panon sa mga Filistehanon, ug mingtimba sa tubig nga gikan sa atabay sa Beth-lehem, nga tupad sa ganghaan, ug mikuha niini ug gibatud kini ngadto kang David: apan siya wala moinum niini kondili gibubo kini ngadto kang Jehova.

¹⁶And the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate, and took it, and brought it to David; however he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Jehovah.

¹⁷Ug siya miingon: Ipahalayo unta kanako, Oh, Jehova, nga akong buhaton kini: imnon ko ba ang dugo sa mga tawo nga miadto sa dakung peligro sa ilang mga kinabuhi? Busa wala siya moinum niini. Kining mga butanga gihimo sa totolo ka gamhanang mga tawo.

¹⁷And he said, Be it far from me, Jehovah, that I should do this thing! is it not the blood of the men that went at the risk of their lives? Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.

¹⁸Ug si Abisai, ang igsoon nga lalake ni Joab, ang anak nga lalake ni Sarvia maoy punoan sa totolo. Ug gibakyaw niya ang iyang bangkaw batok sa totolo ka gatus, ug gipamatay sila ug siya may usa ka ngalan diha sa totolo.

¹⁸And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was the chief of three; and he brandished his spear against three hundred and slew them; and he had a name among the three.

¹⁹Dili ba siya labing talahuron sa totolo? Busa siya gihimo nilang capitan: apan siya wala moabut sa nahaunang totolo.

¹⁹Was he not most honourable of three? and he was their captain; but he did not attain to the [first] three.

²⁰Ug si Benaia, ang anak nga lalake ni Joiada, ang anak nga lalake sa usa ka maisug nga tawo sa Cabseel, nga nakahimo ug dagkung mga buhat, siya ang mipatay sa duruha ka mga anak nga lalake ni Ariel sa Moab: siya milugsong usab ug nagpatay ug usa ka leon diha sa taliwala sa usa ka gahong sa panahon sa nieve.

²⁰And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, son of a valiant man, great in exploits, of Kabzeel: he it was that smote two lions of Moab; and he went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.

²¹Ug iyang gipatay ang usa ka Egiptohanon, usa ka maayong tawo: ug ang Egiptohanon may usa ka bangkaw sa iyang kamot: apan misulong siya ngadto kaniya nga may usa ka sungkod, ug giagaw ang bangkaw gikan sa kamot sa Egiptohanon, ug gipatay siya pinaagi sa iyang kaugalingong bangkaw.

²¹He also smote the Egyptian, an imposing man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

²²Kining mga butanga gihimo ni Benaia, ang anak nga lalake ni Joiada ug siya may usa ka ngalan diha sa totolo ka gamhanang mga tawo.

²²These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he had a name among the three mighty men.

²³Siya labi pang talahuron kay sa katloan, apan siya wala makaabut sa nahaunang totolo. Ug gibutang siya ni David labaw sa iyang mga magbalantay.

²³He was honoured above the thirty, but he did not attain to the [first] three. And David set him in his council.

²⁴Si Asael, ang igsoon nga lalake ni Joab, maoy usa sa katloan; si Elhaanan, ang anak nga lalake ni Dodo sa Beth-lehem.

²⁴Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

²⁵Si Samma, ang Harodihanon, si Elica, ang Harodihanon;

²⁵Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

²⁶Si Heles, ang Paltihanon, si Hira, ang anak nga lalake ni Jecces, ang Tecoahanon;

²⁶Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

²⁷Si Abiezer, ang Anathothnon, si Mebunnai, ang Husahanon,

²⁷Abiezer the Anathothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

²⁸Si Selmo, ang Hahohanon, si Maharai, ang Netophathnon,

³⁹Si Uria ang Hethehanon; katloan ug pito ang tanan.

³⁹Uriah the Hittite: thirty-seven in all.
