¹Ug karon, oh Israel, magpatalinghug ka sa kabalaoran, ug mga tulomanon, nga akong ginatudlo kaninyo nga inyong pagabuhaton; aron mabuhi kamo, ug mosulod ug manag-iya kamo sa yuta nga gihatag kaninyo ni Jehova, ang Dios sa inyong mga amahan.

¹And now, Israel, hearken to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do [them], that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah the God of your fathers giveth you.

²Dili kamo magadugang sa pulong nga akong gisugo kaninyo, ni pagkunhoran ninyo kini, aron pagabantayan ninyo ang mga sugo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios nga akong gisugo kaninyo.

²Ye shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall ye take from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.

³Ang inyong mga mata nakakita kong unsa ang gibuhat ni Jehova tungod sa Baal-peor; kay ang tanang mga tawo nga mingsunod kang Baal-peor, gilaglag ni Jehova nga imong Dios gikan sa taliwala ninyo:

³Your eyes have seen what Jehovah did because of Baal-Peor; for all the men that followed Baal-Peor, Jehovah thy God hath destroyed them from among you;

⁴Apan kamo mingpabilin kang Jehova nga inyong Dios, mga buhi kamong tanan niining adlawa.

⁴but ye that did cleave to Jehovah your God are alive every one of you this day.

⁵Ania karon, ako nagtudlo kaninyo ug kabalaoran ug mga tulomanon, ingon sa gisugo kanako ni Jehova nga akong Dios, aron mao ang inyong pagabuhaton sa taliwala sa yuta diin kamo magasulod sa pagpanag-iya niini.

⁵See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that ye may do so in the land into which ye enter to possess it.

⁶Busa bantayan, ug buhaton ninyo sila; kay kini mao ang inyong kinaadman ug salabutan sa mga mata sa katawohan, nga nakadungog niining tanan nga kabalaoran, ug magaingon: Sa pagkamatuod gayud kining dakung nasud maoy usa ka makinaadmanon ug masinabutong katawohan.

⁶And ye shall keep and do them; for that will be your wisdom and your understanding before the eyes of the peoples that shall hear all these statutes, and say, Verily this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

⁷Kay hain ang nasud nga daku nga adunay usa ka dios nga haduol gayud kanila sama kang Jehova nga atong Dios nga ania kanato bisan anus-a kita makatawag kaniya?

⁷For what great nation is there that hath God near to them as Jehovah our God is in everything we call upon him for?

⁸Ug unsa ang nasud nga daku nga may kabalaoran ug mga tulomanon nga ingon kamatarung niining tibook nga Kasugoan nga ginabutang ko niining adlawa sa atubangan ninyo?

⁸And what great nation is there that hath righteous statutes and ordinances, as all this law which I set before you this day?

⁹Magmatngon ka lamang, ug bantayan mo ang imong kalag sa masingkamuton, kay tingali lamang unya mahakalimot ka sa mga butang nga hingkit-an sa imong mga mata, ug tingali lamang unya mobulag sila sa imong kasingkasing sa tanang mga adlaw sa imong kinabuhi: apan igatudlo mo sila sa imong mga anak, ug sa mga anak sa imong mga anak;

⁹Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things that thine eyes have seen (and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life; but thou shalt make them known to thy sons and to thy sons' sons),

¹⁰Sa adlaw nga nagtindog ka sa atubangan ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa Horeb, sa nag-ingon si Jehova kanako: Tigumon mo kanako ang katawohan ug papatalinghugon ko sila sa akong mga pulong, aron sila magatoon sa pagkahadlok kanako sa tanang mga adlaw nga magakinabuhi sila sa ibabaw sa yuta: nga magatudlo sila sa ilang mga kabataan.

¹⁰the day that thou stoodest before Jehovah thy God in Horeb, when Jehovah said to me, Gather me the people together, that I may cause them to hear my words, that they may learn them, and fear me all the days that they live upon the earth, and teach them to their children.

¹¹Ug mingduol kamo ug mingpahamutang kamo sa lusaran sa bukid; ug ang bukid midilaab sa kalayo hangtud sa tunga-tunga sa mga langit, nga may kangitngit, dag-um ug mabagang kangitngit.

¹¹And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and obscurity.

¹²Ug misulti si Jehova kaninyo gikan sa taliwala sa kalayo: hidunggan ninyo ang tingog sa mga pulong, apan kamo wala makakita ug dagway, nakadungog lamang kamo ug tingog.

¹²And Jehovah spoke to you from the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but ye saw no form; only [ye heard] a voice.

¹³Ug siya mipahayag kaninyo sa tugon nga iyang gisugo kaninyo sa pagtuman, bisan ang napulo ka sugo; ug iyang gisulat kini sa duruha ka papan nga bato.

¹³And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to do, the ten words; and he wrote them on two tables of stone.

¹⁴Ug si Jehova nagsugo kanako niadtong panahona sa pagtudlo kaninyo sa kabalaoran ug mga tulomanon, aron pagabuhaton ninyo sila sa yuta nga pagaadtoan ninyo aron sa pagpanag-iya niini.

¹⁴And Jehovah commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that ye might do them in the land whither ye are passing over to possess it.

¹⁵Busa bantayan ninyo pag-ayo ang inyong nga kaugalingon; kay walay bisan unsa nga dagway nga hingkit-an ninyo sa adlaw nga nakigsulti kaninyo sa Horeb si Jehova sa taliwala sa kalayo;

¹⁵And take great heed to your souls (for ye saw no form on the day that Jehovah spoke to you in Horeb from the midst of the fire),

¹⁶Aron dili kamo mangadaut sa inyong kaugalingon, ug dili kamo magbuhat ug linilok nga larawan sa bisan unsang dagwaya, sa panagway sa lalake kun sa babaye.

¹⁶lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the form of any figure, the pattern of male or female,

¹⁷Sa panagway sa bisan unsang mananapa nga ania sa yuta, sa bisan unsang langgama nga adunay pako nga nagalupad sa kalangitan;

¹⁷the pattern of any beast that is on the earth, the pattern of any winged fowl that flieth in the heaven,

¹⁸Sa panagway sa bisan unsang mananapa nga nagakamang sa yuta, ang sa panagway sa bisan unsang isdaa nga anaa sa tubig sa ilalum sa yuta;

¹⁸the pattern of anything that creepeth on the ground, the pattern of any fish that is in the waters under the earth;

¹⁹Ug tingali unya nga sa pagyahat mo sa imong mga mata sa langit, ug hingkit-an mo ang adlaw, ug ang bulan, ug ang mga bitoon, bisan ang tibook nga panon sa langit, mabihag ka sa pagsimba kanila, ug sa pag-alagad kanila, nga gihatag ni Jehova nga imong Dios alang sa tanan nga nasud sa ilalum sa tibook nga langit.

¹⁹and lest thou lift up thine eyes to the heavens, and see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, the whole host of heaven, and be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, which Jehovah thy God hath assigned unto all peoples under the whole heaven.

²⁰Apan si Jehova nagkuha kaninyo, ug nagpagula kaninyo gikan sa hudno nga puthaw, gikan sa Egipto, aron mahimo kamo nga katawohan niya sa panulondon, maingon niining adlawa.

²⁰But you hath Jehovah taken, and hath brought you forth out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, that ye might be to him a people of inheritance, as it is this day.

²¹Labut pa si Jehova nasuko kanako tungod kaninyo, ug nanumpa siya nga dili ako makatabok ngadto sa Jordan, ug ako dili usab makasulod sa maayong yuta nga gihatag ni Jehova nga imong Dios kanimo alang sa usa ka panulondon.

²¹And Jehovah was angry with me on your account, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not enter in to that good land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance;

²²Apan kinahanglan nga ako magapakamatay niining yutaa; dili ako motabok ngadto sa Jordan: apan kamo motabok ug magapanag-iya kamo niadtong maayong yuta.

²²for I shall die in this land, I shall not go over the Jordan; but ye shall go over, and possess this good land.

²³Bantayan ninyo aron dili kamo mahakalimot sa tugon ni Jehova nga inyong Dios, nga gibuhat niya uban kaninyo, ug magabuhat kamo alang kaninyo ug linilok nga larawan sa dagway sa bisan nga butang nga gidili kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios.

²³Take heed to yourselves lest ye forget the covenant of Jehovah your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a graven image, the form of anything which Jehovah thy God hath forbidden thee.

²⁴Kay si Jehova nga imong Dios mao ang kalayo nga nagaut-ut, Dios nga abughoan.

²⁴For Jehovah thy God is a consuming fire, a jealous ùGod.

²⁵Sa diha nga ikaw magaanak ug mga anak, ug mga apo, ug madugay na kamo sa yuta, ug mangadaut kamo sa inyong kaugalingon, ug magabuhat kamo ug linilok nga larawan kun dagway sa bisan unsang butanga, ug magabuhat kamo ug dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova nga imong Dios, aron sa paghagit sa pagpasuko kaniya;

²⁵When thou begettest sons, and sons' sons, and ye have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, the form of anything, and do evil in the sight of Jehovah thy God, to provoke him to anger,

²⁶Tawgon ko ang langit ug ang yuta aron sa pagsaksi batok kaninyo niining adlawa, nga sa madali mangamatay gayud kamo sa ibabaw sa yuta nga gitabok ninyo ang Jordan sa pagpanag-iya niini; dili kamo makapuyo niini ug hataas nga mga adlaw, kondili pagalaglagon gayud kamo .

²⁶I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye pass over the Jordan to possess it: ye shall not prolong your days on it, but shall be utterly destroyed.

²⁷Ug si Jehova magapatibulaag kaninyo sa taliwala sa katawohan, ug mahabilin kamo nga diriyut nga gidaghanon sa taliwala sa mga nasud, sa dapit diin pagadad-on kamo ni Jehova.

²⁷And Jehovah will scatter you among the peoples, and ye shall be left a small company among the nations to which Jehovah will lead you.

²⁸Ug didto magaalagad kamo sa mga dios nga buhat sa mga kamot sa mga tawo, sa kahoy ug sa bato, nga dili makakita, dili usab makadungog, dili usab makakaon, dili usab makapanimaho.

²⁸And ye shall there serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

²⁹Apan gikan didto magapangita kamo kang Jehova nga imong Dios, ug makakaplag ka kaniya, sa diha nga pangitaon mo siya sa bug-os mong kasingkasing, ug sa bug-os mong kalag.

²⁹And from thence ye shall seek Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt find him, if thou shalt seek him with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul.

³⁰Sa diha nga anaa ikaw sa kalisdanan, ug modangat kanimo tanan kining mga butanga, sa ulahing mga adlaw mobalik ka kang Jehova, nga imong Dios, ug magapatalinghug ka sa iyang tingog;

³⁰In thy tribulation, and when all these things shall come upon thee, at the end of days, thou shalt return to Jehovah thy God, and shalt hearken to his voice,

³¹Kay si Jehova nga imong Dios, maloloy-on nga Dios; dili siya mobiya kanimo, dili usab magalaglag kanimo, dili usab mahikalimot sa iyang tugon sa inyong mga amahan nga iyang gipanumpa kanila.

³¹-- for Jehovah thy God is a merciful ùGod, -- he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore unto them.

³²Kay pangutana karon mahitungod sa mga panahon nga ming-agi, nga diha kaniadto kanimo, sukad sa adlaw nga gibuhat sa Dios ang tawo sa ibabaw sa yuta, ug gikan sa usa ka tumoy sa langit ngadto sa lain, kong diha bay bisan unsang butang nga sama niining dakung butang, kun hindunggan nga ingon niini?

³²For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from one end of the heavens to the other end of the heavens, whether there hath been anything as this great thing is, or if anything hath been heard like it?

³³May katawohan ba nga nakadungog sa tingog sa Dios nga nagsulti gikan sa taliwala sa kalayo, ingon sa imong hidunggan, ug nabuhi?

³³Did [ever] people hear the voice of God speaking from the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

³⁴Kun naghana ba ang Dios sa pag-adto ug sa pagkuha alang kaniya ug usa ka nasud, gikan sa taliwala sa lain nga nasud, pinaagi sa mga pagsulay, pinaagi sa mga timaan, pinaagi sa mga katingalahan, ug pinaagi sa gubat, ug pinaagi sa kamot nga kusgan, ug sa bukton nga ginatuy-od, ug dagku nga mga kakugmat, ingon sa mga butang nga gibuhat kaninyo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios didto sa Egipto sa atubangan sa inyong mga mata?

³⁴Or hath God essayed to come to take him a nation from the midst of a nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a powerful hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

³⁵Kanimo gipahayag aron ka mahibalo nga si Jehova siya Dios; wala nay lain gawas kaniya.

³⁵Unto thee it was shewn, that thou mightest know that Jehovah, he is God -- there is none other besides him.

³⁶Gikan sa langit gipadungog ka sa iyang tingog, aron siya makagtudlo kanimo: ug sa ibabaw sa yuta gipakita niya kanimo ang iyang dakung kalayo: ug nakadungog ka sa iyang mga pulong gikan sa taliwala sa kalayo.

³⁶From the heavens he made thee hear his voice, that he might instruct thee; and on the earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words from the midst of the fire.

³⁷Ug tungod kay siya nahagugma sa imong mga amahan, busa nagpili siya sa ilang kaliwatan sa ulahi kanila: nagpagula kanimo uban kaniya gikan sa Egipto, ug uban sa iyang dakung gahum.

³⁷And because he loved thy fathers, and chose their seed after them, he brought thee out with his countenance, with his great power, out of Egypt,

³⁸Aron sa pagpapahawa gikan sa atubangan mo sa mga nasud nga labing dagku ug labing kusgan kay kanimo; ug aron sa pagpasulod kanimo, ug sa paghatag kanimo sa ilang yuta alang sa usa ka panulondon sa ingon niining adlawa.

³⁸to dispossess nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

³⁹Hibaloi niining adlawa, ug ipahaluna mo sa imong kasingkasing nga si Jehova siya Dios sa itaas sa langit; ug dinhi sa ubos, sa ibabaw sa yuta; wala nay lain.

³⁹Thou shalt know therefore this day, and consider it in thy heart, that Jehovah, he is God in the heavens above, and on the earth beneath: [there is] none else.

⁴⁰Ug bantayan mo ang iyang kabalaoran, ug ang iyang mga sugo nga ginasugo ko kanimo niining adlawa, aron magamaayo kanimo ug sa imong mga anak nga sunod kanimo, ug aron pagahatas-on mo ang imong mga adlaw sa yuta, nga gihatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios, sa walay katapusan.

⁴⁰And thou shalt keep his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee and with thy sons after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days on the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, for ever.

⁴¹Unya si Moises nagpinig ug totolo ka ciudad sa unahan sa Jordan paingon sa subangan sa adlaw.

⁴¹Then Moses separated three cities on this side the Jordan toward the sun-rising,

⁴²Aron mokalagiw didto ang makapatay ug tawo, nga makapatay nga dili tinuyo sa iyang isigkatawo, ug wala magadumot kaniya sa panahon nga miagi; ug nga sa pagkalagiw niya sa usa niining mga ciudad mabuhi siya:

⁴²that the manslayer might flee thither, who should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not previously, that fleeing to one of these cities, he might live:

⁴³Ang Beser sa kamingawan, sa yuta sa kapatagan, alang sa mga Rubenhanon; ug ang Ramoth sa Galaad, alang sa mga Gadihanon; ug ang Golan sa Basan, alang sa mga Manaseshanon.

⁴³Bezer in the wilderness, in the plateau, of the Reubenites, and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.

⁴⁴Ug kini mao ang Kasugoan nga gipahayag ni Moises sa atubangan sa mga anak sa Israel:

⁴⁴And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

⁴⁵Kini mao ang mga pagpamatuod ug ang kabalaoran, ug ang mga tulomanon, nga gipahibalo ni Moises sa mga anak sa Israel sa nakapahawa na sila gikan sa Egipto.

⁴⁵these are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances that Moses declared to the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt,

⁴⁶Sa unahan sa Jordan sa walog sa atbang sa Beth-peor, sa yuta ni Sihon, hari sa mga Amorehanon, nga nagpuyo sa Hesbon, nga gilaglag ni Moises ug sa mga anak sa Israel, sa paglakaw nila gikan sa Egipto.

⁴⁶on this side the Jordan, in the valley opposite to Beth-Peor, in the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote when they came out of Egypt;

⁴⁷Ug iyang gipanag-iya ang yuta niya ug ang yuta ni Og, nga hari sa Basan; ang duha ka hari sa mga Amorehanon nga didto sa unahan sa Jordan patunong ngadto sa subangan sa adlaw;

⁴⁷and they took possession of his land, and the land of Og the king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, who were on this side the Jordan, toward the sun-rising;

⁴⁸Sukad sa Aroer nga diha sa daplin sa walog sa Arnon, bisan ngadto sa bukid sa Sion, (nga mao ang Hermon):

⁴⁸from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, as far as mount Sion, which is Hermon,

⁴⁹Ug ang tibook nga Arabah nga unahan sa Jordan dapit sa timogan hangtud sa Dagat sa Arabah sa ilalum sa mga banghilig sa Pisga.

⁴⁹and all the plain on this side the Jordan, eastward, and as far as the sea of the plain, under the slopes of Pisgah.
