¹Ug nahitabo sa human niining mga butanga, nga ang magbalantay sa vino sa hari sa Egipto, ug ang magbubuhat sa tinapay nakapasuko sa ilang ginoo, ang hari sa Egipto.

¹And it came to pass after these things, [that] the cup-bearer of the king of Egypt and the baker offended their lord the king of Egypt.

²Ug nasuko si Faraon batok sa iyang duruha ka tinugyanan, batok sa pangulo sa mga magbalantay sa vino, ug batok sa pangulo sa mga magbubuhat sa tinapay.

²And Pharaoh was wroth with his two chamberlains -- with the chief of the cup-bearers and with the chief of the bakers;

³Ug sila gipasulod niya nga binilanggo sa balay sa pangulo sa bantay nga harianon, ngadto sa bilanggoan, sa dapit diin si Jose nahibilanggo.

³and he put them in custody into the house of the captain of the life-guard, into the tower-house, into the place where Joseph was imprisoned.

⁴Ug gitugyan sila sa pangulo sa bantay kang Jose, ug siya nag-alagad kanila; ug nagpadayon nga binilanggo sila sa usa ka panahon.

⁴And the captain of the life-guard appointed Joseph to them, that he should attend on them. And they were [several] days in custody.

⁵Ug silang duruha nanagdamgo ug usa ka damgo sa usa niana ka gabii, tagsatagsa sumala sa hubad sa kahulogan sa iyang damgo, ang magbalantay sa vino ug ang magbubuhat sa tinapay, nga didto ginapus sa bilanggoan.

⁵And they dreamed a dream, both of them in one night, each his dream, each according to the interpretation of his dream, the cup-bearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were imprisoned in the tower-house.

⁶Ug si Jose misulod ngadto kanila sa pagkabuntag ug mitan-aw kanila, ug ania karon, nga nanagsubo sila.

⁶And Joseph came in to them in the morning, and looked on them, and behold, they were sad.

⁷Ug nangutana siya sa mga tinugyanan ni Faraon nga diha kauban niya sa bilanggoan sa balay sa iyang agalon, nga nagaingon: Unsay hinungdan nga nasubo karon ang inyong mga nawong?

⁷And he asked Pharaoh's chamberlains that were with him in custody in his lord's house, saying, Why are your faces [so] sad to-day?

⁸Ug sila nanagpanubag kaniya: Nagdamgo kami ug usa ka damgo ug walay kinsa nga makahubad. Ug si Jose miingon kanila: Dili ba iya sa Dios ang paghubad sa kahulogan? Ginapangaliyupo ko kaninyo nga isugilon ninyo kini kanako.

⁸And they said to him, We have dreamt a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, [Do] not interpretations [belong] to God? tell me [your dreams], I pray you.

⁹Ug ang pangulo sa mga magbalantay sa nagsugilon kang Jose sa iyang damgo, nga nagaingon: Sa nagadamgo ako, ania karon, ang usa ka punoan nga parras sa atubangan ko:

⁹Then the chief of the cup-bearers told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

¹⁰Ug sa punoan sa parras adunay totolo ka mga sanga, ug kini ingon sa nagapanalingsing, ug namulak, ug ang iyang mga pinungpung namunga ug mga parras nga hinog.

¹⁰and in the vine were three branches; and it was as though it budded: its blossoms shot forth, its clusters ripened into grapes.

¹¹Ug ako nagakupot sa copa ni Faraon, ug nagkuha ako sa mga parras ug gipuga ko kini sa copa ni Faraon, ug gitunol ko ang copa sa kamot ni Faraon.

¹¹And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

¹²Unya miingon kaniya si Jose. Kini mao ang kahulogan niini: ang totolo ka mga sanga mao ang totolo ka adlaw.

¹²And Joseph said to him, This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days.

¹³Sulod sa totolo ka adlaw pagabayawon ni Faraon ang imong ulo, ug ikaw igauli niya sa imong bulohaton: ug magatunol ka kang Faraon sa copa, ingon sa gibuhat mo kaniadto sa magtitiing pa ikaw.

¹³In yet three days will Pharaoh lift up thy head and restore thee to thy place, and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his cup-bearer.

¹⁴Apan hinumdumi ako kong maayo ang imong madangat, ug nagapangaliyupo ako kanimo, nga malooy ka kanako, ug isulti mo ako kang Faraon, aron ako makuha mo gikan niining balaya.

¹⁴Only bear a remembrance with thee of me when it goes well with thee, and deal kindly, I pray thee, with me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house;

¹⁵Kay sa pagkamatuod, gikawat ako sa yuta sa mga Hebreohanon, ug ako walay nahimo tungod niana, aron ako ikabalhog niini nga bilanggoan.

¹⁵for indeed I was stolen out of the land of the Hebrews, and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

¹⁶Ug sa nakita sa pangulo sa mga magbubuhat sa tinapay nga ang hubad sa damgo maayo, miingon siya kang Jose: Ako usab nagdamgo nga ania karon, may totolo ka bukag sa tinapay nga maputi sa ibabaw sa akong ulo;

¹⁶And when the chief of the bakers saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, I also was in my dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head.

¹⁷Ug sa bukag nga didto sa ibabaw diha ang tanang linuto nga kalan-on alang kang Faraon; ug gikuha sa mga langgam ang mga tinapay sa bukag nga didto sa ibabaw sa akong ulo.

¹⁷And in the uppermost basket there were all manner of victuals for Pharaoh that the baker makes, and the birds ate them out of the basket upon my head.

¹⁸Unya mitubag si Jose ug miingon: Kini mao ang iyang kahulogan. Ang totolo ka mga bukag mao ang totolo ka adlaw.

¹⁸And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation of it: the three baskets are three days.

¹⁹Sa pagkatapus sa totolo ka adlaw ibton ni Faraon ang imong ulo gikan kanimo, ug ikaw ipabitay niya sa usa ka kahoy, ug ang mga langgam magatuka sa imong unod gikan kanimo.

¹⁹In yet three days will Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and hang thee on a tree; and the birds will eat thy flesh from off thee.

²⁰Ug mao nga sa ikatolo ka adlaw, ang adlaw sa pagkatawo ni Faraon, nga naghimo siya ug kombira sa tanan niyang mga alagad: ug gibayaw niya ang ulo sa pangulo sa mga magtitiing, ug ang ulo sa pangulo sa mga magbubuhat sa tinapay sa taliwala sa iyang mga alagad.

²⁰And it came to pass the third day -- Pharaoh's birthday -- that he made a feast to all his bondmen. And he lifted up the head of the chief of the cup-bearers, and the head of the chief of the bakers among his bondmen.

²¹Ug iyang gipabalik sa iyang katungdanan ang pangulo sa mga magtitiing ug gihatag niya ang copa sa kamot ni Faraon.

²¹And he restored the chief of the cup-bearers to his office of cup-bearer again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

²²Apan iyang gipabitay ang pangulo sa mga magbubuhat sa tinapay, ingon sa gipahayag ni Jose kaniya.

²²And he hanged the chief of the bakers, as Joseph had interpreted to them.

²³Apan ang pangulo sa mga magtitiing wala mahinumdum kang Jose, kondili hingkalimtan siya.

²³But the chief of the cup-bearers did not remember Joseph, and forgot him.
