¹Kay ang Kasugoan nga may landong sa mga maayong butang nga palaabuton, dili ang matuod nga dagway sa mga butang, uban sa mao gihapong mga halad sa tuig-tuig nga kanunay ilang gihalad, dili gayud makahimo sa paghingpit kanila nga nagaduol.

¹For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not the image itself of the things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually yearly, perfect those who approach.

²Kondili, wala ba unta sila moundang sa paghalad? kay ang mga magsisimba, sa tapus mahinloi sa nakausa, wala na untay pag-ila sa sala.

²Since, would they not indeed have ceased being offered, on account of the worshippers once purged having no longer any conscience of sins?

³Apan niadtong mga halara adunay handumanan nga gihimo mahitungod sa mga sala sa tuig-tuig.

³But in these [there is] a calling to mind of sins yearly.

⁴Kay dili gayud mahimo nga ang dugo sa mga vaca ug sa mga kanding makapala sa mga sala.

⁴For blood of bulls and goats [is] incapable of taking away sins.

⁵Tungod niana, sa pagsulod niya sa kalibutan, miingon siya: Ang halad ug gasa wala mo pagdawata, kondili giandaman mo ako ug usa ka lawas;

⁵Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body.

⁶Sa tibook nga mga halad-nga-sinunog ug halad alang sa sala wala mo mahimut-i:

⁶Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin.

⁷Unya miingon ako: Ania karon, mianhi ako (Sa padron sa basahon nahisulat mahitungod kanako) sa pagbuhat sa imong kabubut-on, Oh Dios.

⁷Then I said, Lo, I come (in [the] roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will.

⁸Sa giingon sa itaas: Sa mga halad ug mga gasa ug tibook mga halad-nga-sinunog ug mga halad alang sa sala dili ka modawat, wala ka usab ing kahimuot kanila (kini nga gihalad sumala sa Kasugoan).

⁸Above, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law);

⁹Unya miingon siya: Ania karon, mianhi ako sa pagbuhat sa imong kabubut-on. Gikuha niya ang nahauna aron matukod niya ang ikaduha.

⁹then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second;

¹⁰Nga tungod niini nga kabubut-on gipanagputli kita pinaagi sa halad sa lawas ni Jesucristo sa nakausa nga sa gihapon.

¹⁰by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

¹¹Ug ang tagsatagsa ka sacerdote sa pagkamatuod nagatindog sa matag-adlaw nga nagaalagad ug nagahalad sa masubsub sa maong mga halad, nga dili gayud makapala sa mga sala;

¹¹And every priest stands daily ministering, and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

¹²Apan siya, sa nakahalad na siya sa usa ka halad alang sa mga sala nga sa gihapon, milingkod sa toong kamot sa Dios;

¹²But *he*, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down in perpetuity at [the] right hand of God,

¹³Gikan niadto nagapaabut siya hangtud nga ang iyang mga kaaway mahimong tumbanan sa iyang mga tiil.

¹³waiting from henceforth until his enemies be set [for the] footstool of his feet.

¹⁴Kay pinaagi sa usa ka halad gihingpit niya nga sa gihapon sila nga ginabalaan.

¹⁴For by one offering he has perfected in perpetuity the sanctified.

¹⁵Ug ang Espiritu Santo usab nagahatag ug pagpamatuod kanato, kay sa tapus siya nakapamulong:

¹⁵And the Holy Spirit also bears us witness [of it]; for after what was said:

¹⁶Kini mao ang tugon nga akong pagabuhaton uban kanila sa tapus niadtong mga adlawa, miingon ang Ginoo: Igabutang ko ang akong mga Kasugoan sa ilang kasingkasing, ug sa ila nga salabutan usab igasulat ko kini; unya miingon siya:

¹⁶This [is] the covenant which I will establish towards them after those days, saith [the] Lord: Giving my laws into their hearts, I will write them also in their understandings;

¹⁷Ug dili ko na pagahinumduman ang ilang mga sala ug ang ilang mga pagkamasupilon.

¹⁷and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more.

¹⁸Karon, diin atua ang pagpasaylo niini, didto wala nay halad-tungod-sa-sala.

¹⁸But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin.

¹⁹Busa, mga igsoon, sa may pagpangahas kita sa pagsulod sa dapit nga balaan tungod sa dugo ni Jesus,

¹⁹Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entering into the [holy of] holies by the blood of Jesus,

²⁰Pinaagi sa dalan nga iyang gitukod alang kanato, usa ka bag-o ug buhi nga dalan, pinaagi sa tabil, kong sayron, pinaagi sa iyang unod;

²⁰the new and living way which he has dedicated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,

²¹Ug sanglit may usa ka dakung sacerdote ibabaw sa balay sa Dios,

²¹and [having] a great priest over the house of God,

²²Manuol kita uban ang matuod nga kasingkasing, nga may hingpit nga katinoan sa pagtoo, sa nasabligan ang atong mga kasingkasing gikan sa usa ka dautan nga kaisipan: ug sa nadigo ang atong lawas sa tubig nga maputli,

²²let us approach with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, sprinkled as to our hearts from a wicked conscience, and washed as to our body with pure water.

²³Magmalig-on kita sa pagsugid sa atong paglaum aron dili kini matarug; kay matinumanon ang nagsaad:

²³Let us hold fast the confession of the hope unwavering, (for he [is] faithful who has promised;)

²⁴Ug magpinalandungay kita ang usa ug usa aron sa pag-aghat ngadto sa gugma ug sa mga maayong buhat;

²⁴and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works;

²⁵Nga dili magsalikway sa atong kaugalingong panagkatigum, sumala sa batasan sa uban, kondili magtinambagay ang usa ug usa; ug labi na gayud kong ginatan-aw ninyo nga nagakahaduol ang adlaw.

²⁵not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom [is] with some; but encouraging [one another], and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near.

²⁶Kay kong magpakasala kita sa tinuyo sa human ta madawat ang pag-ila sa kamatuoran, wala nay halad-tungod-sa-mga sala;

²⁶For where we sin wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins,

²⁷Apan usa ka makalilisang nga paghulat sa paghukom, ug usa ka kabangis sa kalayo nga magalamoy sa mga kaaway.

²⁷but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and heat of fire about to devour the adversaries.

²⁸Ang tawo nga nakapasipala sa Kasugoan ni Moises, sa mapamatud-an sa duha kun totolo ka mga saksi, mamatay sa walay kalooy;

²⁸Any one that has disregarded Moses' law dies without mercy on [the testimony of] two or three witnesses:

²⁹Daw unsa ba ka labing mabug-at nga silot, hunahunaa ninyo, ang angay igasilot niadtong nakayatak sa Anak sa Dios, ug nag-isip nga butang nga bastus ang dugo sa tugon nga nagbalaan kaniya, ug nakapanamastamas sa Espiritu sa gracia?

²⁹of how much worse punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and esteemed the blood of the covenant, whereby he has been sanctified, common, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

³⁰Kay hing-ilhan ta ang nagaingon: Ang pagpanimalus ako man, ako mao ang magabalus, nagaingon ang Ginoo; ug usab: ang Ginoo magahukom sa iyang katawohan.

³⁰For we know him that said, To me [belongs] vengeance; *I* will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.

³¹Butang nga makalilisang ang pagkahulog ngadto sa mga kamot sa Dios nga buhi.

³¹[It is] a fearful thing falling into [the] hands of [the] living God.

³²Apan hinumdumi ninyo ang mga adlaw nga nanagpangagi, nga sa human na kamo maiwagi, nag-antus kamo sa mapailubon gayud sa usa ka dakung pagpakigbisug sa mga kasakit;

³²But call to mind the earlier days in which, having been enlightened, ye endured much conflict of sufferings;

³³Sa usa ka bahin, tungod kay nangahimo kamo nga talan-awon sa mga pagbiaybiay ug sa mga kalisdanan, ug sa laing bahin tungod kay kamo nahimong mga umalambit sa mga gibuhatan sa ingon.

³³on the one hand, when ye were made a spectacle both in reproaches and afflictions; and on the other, when ye became partakers with those who were passing through them.

³⁴Kay may kalooy kamo sa mga binilanggo, ug gidawat usab ninyo nga malipayon ang pag-agaw sa inyong mga bahandi, sanglit nahibalo kamo nga may labing maayo kamo nga bahandi, ug usa nga mapinadayonon.

³⁴For ye both sympathised with prisoners and accepted with joy the plunder of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better substance, and an abiding one.

³⁵Busa, ayaw ninyo isalikway ang inyong pagsalig, nga may daku nga balus sa katumbasan.

³⁵Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense.

³⁶Kay nagakinahanglan kamo ug pagpailub, nga sa nabuhat na ninyo ang kabubut-on sa Ginoo, madawat ninyo ang saad.

³⁶For ye have need of endurance in order that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

³⁷Kay sa usa pa ka diriyut nga panahon, ang umaanhi, moanhi gayud ug dili magalangan.

³⁷For yet a very little while he that comes will come, and will not delay.

³⁸Apan ang akong matarung, magkinabuhi tungod sa pagtoo; ug kong mosibug siya, dili malipay ang akong kalag kaniya.

³⁸But the just shall live by faith; and, if he draw back, my soul does not take pleasure in him.

³⁹Apan dili kita uban kanila nga nanagsibug hangtud sa pagkawala; kondili sa mga may pagtoo ngadto sa pagluwas sa kalag.

³⁹But *we* are not drawers back to perdition, but of faith to saving [the] soul.
