¹Ang pulong nga midangat kang Jeremias gikan kang Jehova sa diha nga kaniya gipadala ni hari Sedechias si Pashur, ang anak nga lalake ni Michias, ug si Sephanias ang anak nga lalake ni Maasias nga sacerdote, nga nagaingon:

¹The word that came unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

²Ipangamuyo ko kanimo, mangutana ka sa Dios mahatungod kanamo; kay si Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia nakiggubat batok kanamo: basin pa nga buhaton ni Jehova kanamo ang ingon sa tanan niyang mga kahibulongang buhat, aron siya maoy motungas gikan kanamo.

²Inquire, I pray thee, of Jehovah for us; for Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that Jehovah will deal with us according to all his marvellous works, that he may go up from us.

³Unya miingon si Jeremias kanila: Mao kini ang igaingon ninyo kang Sedechias:

³And Jeremiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah:

⁴Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova nga Dios sa Israel: Ania karon, akong lumpingon ang mga hinagiban sa gubat nga anaa sa inyong mga kamot, nga inyong gipakig-away batok sa hari sa Babilonia, ug batok sa mga Caldeahanon, nga nanaglibut kaninyo sa gawas sa mga kuta; ug ako magapapundok kanila sa taliwala niining ciudara.

⁴Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you, outside the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.

⁵Ug ako sa akong kaugalingon makig-away batok kaninyo uban ang tinuy-od nga kamot ug uban ang kusgan nga bukton, uban ang kasuko, ug sa kapungot, ug sa dakung kaligutgut.

⁵And I myself will fight against you with a stretched-out hand, and with a strong arm, and in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

⁶Ug akong hampakon ang mga pumoluyo niining ciudara, tawo ug mananap sa tingub: sila mangamatay sa dakung kamatay.

⁶And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

⁷Ug sa human niana , nagaingon si Jehova: Ako magatugyan kang Sedechias nga hari sa Juda, ug sa iyang mga sulogoon, ug sa mga tawo, bisan sa kapid-an nga mga nanghibilin niining ciudara gikan sa kamatay, gikan sa pinuti ug gikan sa gutom, ngadto sa kamot ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia, ug ngadto sa kamot sa ilang nga kaaway, ug ngadto sa mga nanagpangita sa ilang kinabuhi: ug siya magahampak kanila sa sulab sa pinuti; siya dili magaluwas kanila, ni malooy, ni magmaloloton kanila .

⁷And afterwards, saith Jehovah, I will give Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life, and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword: he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

⁸Ug niini nga katawohan kaw magaingon: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: ania karon, akong gipahaluna sa inyong atubangan ang dalan sa kinabuhi, ug ang dalan sa kamatayon.

⁸And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

⁹Kadtong mopabilin niining ciudara mamatay sa pinuti, ug sa gutom, ug sa kamatay; apan kadtong mogula, ug mahulog sa kamot sa mga Caldeahanon nga nanaglibut kaninyo, siya mabuhi, ug ang iyang kinabuhi alang kaniya ingon sa tukbonon.

⁹He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he that goeth out, and deserteth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.

¹⁰Kay akong gipahamutang ang akong nawong batok nining ciudara alang sa kadautan, ug dili alang sa kaayohan, nagaingon si Jehova: igahatag kini ngadto sa kamot sa hari sa Babilonia, ug iyang sunogon kini sa kalayo.

¹⁰For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith Jehovah: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

¹¹Ug mahitungod sa balay sa hari sa Juda, pamati kamo sa pulong ni Jehova:

¹¹And touching the house of the king of Judah, hear ye the word of Jehovah.

¹²Oh balay ni David, nagaingon si Jehova: Tumana ninyo ang justicia sa kabuntagon, ug lawasa siya nga gitulis gikan sa kamot sa madaugdaugon, tingali unya ang akong kasuko mogula nga ingon sa kalayo, ug mosilaub sa pagkaagi nga walay mausa nga makapalong niana, tungod sa kadautan sa inyong mga buhat.

¹²House of David, thus saith Jehovah: Judge with justice in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go forth like fire and burn, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

¹³Ania karon, ako batok kanimo, Oh pumoluyo sa walog, ug sa bato sa kapatagan, nagaingon si Jehova; kamo nga nagaingon: Kinsay moanhi sa atong mga puloy-anan?

¹³Behold, I am against thee, inhabitress of the valley, the rock of the plain, saith Jehovah; ye that say, Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter into our dwellings?

¹⁴Ug hampakon ko kamo sumala sa bunga sa inyong mga buhat, nagaingon si Jehova; ug ako magadaub ug kalayo diha sa iyang lasang, ug kini magalamoy sa tanang mga butang nga nanaglibut kaniya.

¹⁴And I will visit you according to the fruit of your doings, saith Jehovah; and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is round about her.
