¹Karon, sa nahaunang adlaw sa semana, sayo sa mangitngit pa, miabut si Maria Magdalena sa lubnganan, ug nakita niya ang bato nga nakuha na sa lubnganan.

¹And on the first [day] of the week Mary of Magdala comes in early morn to the tomb, while it was still dark, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb.

²Busa midalagan siya ug miadto kang Simon Pedro, ug sa usa ka tinon-an, ang gihigugma ni Jesus, ug miingon kanila: Gikuha nila gikan sa lubnganan ang Ginoo, ug wala kita mahibalo kong diin nila ibutang siya.

²She runs therefore and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, to whom Jesus was attached, and says to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.

³Busa migula si Pedro ug ang usa ka tinon-an, ug nangadto sila sa lubnganan.

³Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and came to the tomb.

⁴Ug nanalagan sila nga duha pagdungan, ug ang usa ka tinon-an labing makusog nga midalagan kay kang Pedro ug unang miabut sa lubnganan.

⁴And the two ran together, and the other disciple ran forward faster than Peter, and came first to the tomb,

⁵Ug sa iyang pagduko ug paglili, nakita niya ang panapton nga lino nga nahibilin, apan wala siya mosulod.

⁵and stooping down he sees the linen cloths lying; he did not however go in.

⁶Unya miabut usab si Simon Pedro nga nagasunod kaniya, ug misulod sa lubnganan, ug nakita niya ang mga panapton nga nahibilin.

⁶Simon Peter therefore comes, following him, and entered into the tomb, and sees the linen cloths lying,

⁷Ug ang panyo nga didto sa iyang ulo wala mahitipon sa mga panapton nga lino, kondili nalukot sa iyang kaugalingon sa usa ka dapit nga linain.

⁷and the handkerchief which was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in a distinct place by itself.

⁸Unya misulod usab ang usa ka tinon-an nga unang miabut sa lubnganan, ug kini nakakita ug mitoo.

⁸Then entered in therefore the other disciple also who came first to the tomb, and he saw and believed;

⁹Kay hangtud niadtong panahona wala pa sila mahibalo sa Kasulatan, nga siya kinahanglan nga mabanhaw sa mga minatay.

⁹for they had not yet known the scripture, that he must rise from among [the] dead.

¹⁰Busa ang mga tinon-an namauli pag-usab sa ilang balay.

¹⁰The disciples therefore went away again to their own home.

¹¹Apan si Maria nagatindog sa gawas sa lubnganan nga nagahilak; busa sa nagahilak siya, miduko ug milili siya sa lubnganan;

¹¹But Mary stood at the tomb weeping without. As therefore she wept, she stooped down into the tomb,

¹²Ug nakita niya ang duha ka mga manolonda nga sinul-oban sa maputi nga nanaglingkod, ang usa sa ulohan, ug ang usa sa tiilan, sa dapit diin ang lawas ni Jesus gipahigda.

¹²and beholds two angels sitting in white [garments], one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

¹³Ug sila miingon kaniya: Babaye, nganong nagahilak ikaw? Siya miingon kanila: Kay gikuha nila ang akong Ginoo, ug wala ako mahibalo kong hain nila ibutang.

¹³And they say to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

¹⁴Sa nakaingon siya niini, milingi siya, ug nakita niya si Jesus nga nagatindog, apan wala siya makaila nga kadto mao si Jesus.

¹⁴Having said these things she turned backward and beholds Jesus standing [there], and knew not that it was Jesus.

¹⁵Si Jesus miingon kaniya: Babaye, nganong nagahilak ikaw? Kinsa ba ang imong gipangita? Siya, nga nagahunahuna nga kadto mao ang magbalantay sa tanaman, miingon kaniya: Ginoo, kong imong gikuha siya gikan dinhi, tug-ani ako kong hain nimo siya ibutang, ug ako siyang pagakuhaon.

¹⁵Jesus says to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing that it was the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

¹⁶Si Jesus miingon kaniya: Maria! Siya milingi ug miingon kaniya sa pinulongan nga Hebreohanon: Rabboni! nga ang kahulogan, Magtutudlo!

¹⁶Jesus says to her, Mary. She, turning round, says to him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which means Teacher.

¹⁷Si Jesus miingon kaniya: Ayaw ako paghikapa, kay wala pa ako makasaka ngadto sa Amahan: apan umadto ka sa akong mga igsoon, ug moingon kanila: Mosaka ako ngadto sa akong Amahan ug inyong Amahan, ug sa akong Dios ug inyong Dios.

¹⁷Jesus says to her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and [to] my God and your God.

¹⁸Si Maria Magdalena miadto ug nagasugilon sa mga tinon-an: Nakita ko ang Ginoo; ug nga si Jesus nagasulti niining mga butanga kaniya.

¹⁸Mary of Magdala comes bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had said these things to her.

¹⁹Unya sa pagkahapon nianang adlawa, ang nahaunang adlaw sa semana, ug sa nasirhan ang mga pultahan sa ginatiguman sa mga tinon-an, tungod sa kahadlok sa mga Judio, si Jesus miabut ug mitindog sa taliwala nila, ug miingon kanila: Kaninyo ang pakigdait.

¹⁹When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first [day] of the week, and the doors shut where the disciples were, through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace [be] to you.

²⁰Ug sa nakapamulong siya niini, iyang gipakita kanila ang iyang mga kamot ug ang iyang kilid. Busa ang mga tinon-an nangalipay sa ilang pagkakita sa Ginoo.

²⁰And having said this, he shewed to them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced therefore, having seen the Lord.

²¹Unya si Jesus miingon pag-usab kanila: Kaninyo; ang pakigdait ingon nga ang Amahan nagsugo kanako, sa maong pagkaagi ako nagasugo kaninyo.

²¹[Jesus] said therefore again to them, Peace [be] to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you.

²²Ug sa nakapamulong siya niini, miginhawa siya kanila, ug miingon kanila: Dawata ninyo ang Espiritu Santo.

²²And having said this, he breathed into [them], and says to them, Receive [the] Holy Spirit:

²³Kang bisan kinsang mga sala nga inyong pasayloon, kana ginapasaylo kanila; kang bisan kinsang mga sala nga inyong pugngan, kana ginapugngan kanila.

²³whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained.

²⁴Apan si Tomas nga ginganlan si Dedimo, usa sa napulo ug duha, wala didto uban kanila sa pag-abut ni Jesus.

²⁴But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

²⁵Busa ang ubang mga tinon-an miingon kaniya: Kami nakakita sa Ginoo. Apan siya miingon kanila: Gawas kong makita ko sa iyang mga kamot ang agi sa mga lansang, ug ikakulkog ko ang akong tudlo sa agi sa mga lansang, ug ikahinol ko ang akong kamot sa iyang kilid, dili ako motoo.

²⁵The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

²⁶Ug sa tapus ang walo ka adlaw, didto na usab ang iyang mga tinon-an sa sulod, ug si Tomas uban kanila. Samtang ang pultahan tinak-upan, si Jesus misulod ug mitindog sa taliwala nila, ug miingon: Kaninyo ang pakigdait.

²⁶And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace [be] to you.

²⁷Unya miingon siya kang Tomas: Iabut ngari ang imong tudlo, ug tan-awa ang akong mga kamot; ug iabut ngari ang imong kamot ug ihinol sa akong kilid, ug dili ka magmaduhaduhaon kondili magmatinohoon.

²⁷Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here and see my hands; and bring thy hand and put it into my side; and be not unbelieving, but believing.

²⁸Si Tomas mitubag ug miingon kaniya: Ginoo ko ug Dios ko!

²⁸Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.

²⁹Si Jesus miingon kaniya: Tungod kay ikaw nakakita kanako, mitoo ikaw? Bulahan kadtong wala magpakakita, apan bisan pa, nanagpanoo.

²⁹Jesus says to him, Because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed they who have not seen and have believed.

³⁰Ug may uban pa nga daghang mga ilhanan nga gibuhat ni Jesus sa atubangan sa iyang mga tinon-an, nga wala mahasulat niini nga basahona;

³⁰Many other signs therefore also Jesus did before his disciples, which are not written in this book;

³¹Apan kini gisulat, aron kamo managpanoo nga si Jesus mao ang Cristo, ang Anak sa Dios; ug nga sa pagtoo makabaton kamo sa kinabuhi sa iyang ngalan.

³¹but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.
