¹Alaut kanila nga nanagsugo sa dili matarung nga mga sugo, ug sa mga magsusulat nga nagasulat sa mga butang nga balit-ad;

¹Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees;

²Aron sa paghikaw sa hangul gikan sa justicia, ug sa pag-agaw gikan sa mga kabus sa akong katawohan sa ilang katungod, aron ang mga balo mahimo nga ilang inagaw, ug aron ang ilo mahimo nila nga ilang tukbonon!

²to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

³Ug unsa may inyong pagabuhaton sulod sa adlaw sa pagdu-aw, ug sulod sa kalaglagan nga umalabut gikan sa halayo? kang kinsa man kamo modangup aron kamo tabangan? ug asa man ninyo biyai ang inyong himaya?

³What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

⁴Sila motikuko lamang ilalum sa yugo sa mga binilanggo, ug mangapukan ilalum sa yugo sa mga patay. Mahitungod niining tanan ang iyang kasuko wala mapala, kondili gibakyaw pa hinoon ang iyang kamot sa gihapon.

⁴They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

⁵Ho Asiriahanon, ang baras sa akong kasuko, ang sungkod nga sa kang kansang kamot anaa ang akong kaligutgut!

⁵Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!

⁶I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me will I give him a command to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

⁷Apan siya wala magtinguha sa ingon; ni maghunahuna ang iyang kasingkasing sa ingon; kondili anaa sa iyang kasingkasing ang paglumpag, ug ang paglaglag sa mga nasud nga dili diyutay.

⁷However he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.

⁸Kay siya nagaingon: Dili ba mga hari ang tanan nga mga principe ko?

⁸For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?

⁹Dili ba ang Calno sama sa Carchemis? dili ba ang Hamath sama sa Arphad? dili ba ang Samaria sama sa Damasco?

⁹Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”

¹⁰Ingon nga ang akong kamot nakakaplag sa mga gingharian sa mga dios-dios kansang mga larawan nga linilok minglabaw niadtong atua sa Jerusalem ug sa Samaria;

¹⁰As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

¹¹Dili ba ako, ang ingon sa gibuhat ko sa Samaria ug sa iyang mga dios-dios, pagabuhaton ko usab sa Jerusalem ug sa iyang mga dios-dios?

¹¹shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

¹²Sa maong pagkaagi mahitabo, nga, sa mabuhat sa Ginoo ang tibook niyang buhat ibabaw sa bukid sa Sion ug sa Jerusalem, silotan ko ang bunga sa magahi nga kasingkasing sa Asiria, ug ang himaya sa iyang mapahitas-on nga mga pagpanan-aw.

¹²Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his haughty looks.

¹³For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.

¹⁴Ug hingkaplagan sa akong kamot ingon sa usa ka salag ang mga bahandi sa mga katawohan; ug sama sa usa nga nagahipos sa mga itlog nga biniyaan, gihipos ko ang tanang yuta: ug walay usa nga mikapakapa, kun mibuka sa baba, kun mipiyak.

¹⁴My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, have I gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”

¹⁵Makapangandak ba ang wasay sa iyang kaugalingon batok niadtong nagagamit kaniya nga nagaputol uban niini? Ang gabas makapadaku ba sa iyang kaugalingon batok niadtong nagasalsal kaniya? Daw ingon sa usa ka baras nga buot mosalsal kanila nga maoy nagaalsa kaniya, daw ingon sa usa ka sungkod nga buot moalsa sa tawo nga dili man kahoy.

¹⁵Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.

¹⁶Tungod niini ang Ginoo, nga si Jehova sa mga panon, magapadala ug kaniwang sa iyang mga matambok; ug ubos sa iyang himaya anaay modilaab nga sama sa kasiga sa kalayo.

¹⁶Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.

¹⁷Ug ang suga sa Israel mamahimong kalayo, ug ang iyang Balaan mahimong usa ka siga; ug kini mosunog ug magalamoy sa iyang mga tunok ug sa iyang mga sampinit sulod sa usa ka adlaw.

¹⁷The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

¹⁸Ug iyang pagaut-uton ang himaya sa iyang kalasangan, ug ang sa iyang mabungaon nga baul, silang duruha ang kalag ug ang lawas: ug maingon sa usa ka magdadala sa bandila nga gipugdaw.

¹⁸He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.

¹⁹Ug ang mahabilin sa mga kahoy sa iyang kalasangan nihit lamang , sa ingon masulat lamang sa usa ka bata.

¹⁹The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.

²⁰Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa, nga ang mahabilin sa Israel, ug sila nga nanagpakagawas sa balay ni Jacob, dili na mosandig kaniya nga nagdagmal kanila, kondili mosandig hinoon kang Jehova, ang Balaan sa Israel, sa pagkamatuod.

²⁰It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

²¹May usa ka salin nga magabalik, nga mao ang nahabilin ni Jacob, ngadto sa Dios nga makagagahum.

²¹A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

²²Kay bisan ang imong katawohan Israel, maingon sa balas sa dagat, usa ka salin lamang ang mahiuli: ang usa ka paglaglag gilagal na , nga magaawas sa pagkamatarung.

²²For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.

²³Kay ang usa ka hingpit nga katapusan, ug kana ginatagal na, hinoon sa Ginoo, nga si Jehova sa mga panon, sa taliwala sa tibook nga yuta.

²³For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, in the midst of all the earth.

²⁴Busa mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoo, nga si Jehova sa mga panon: Oh katawohan ko nga nagapuyo sa Sion, ayaw kahadlok sa Asirianhon, bisan pa siya magabunal kanimo sa usa ka baras, ug pagabakyawon niya ang iyang sungkod batok kanimo, sumala sa batasan sa Egipto.

²⁴Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, says “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.

²⁵Kay sa dili madugay, ug ang kasilag batok kanimo mamatuman, ug ang akong kasuko igapatumong sa iyang pagkagun-ob.

²⁵For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”

²⁶Ug si Jehova sa mga panon magapalihok sa usa ka latigo batok kaniya, ingon sa pagpamatay didto sa Madian duol sa bato sa Horeb: ug ang iyang baras iyang ibakyaw sa ibabaw sa dagat, ug iya kini nga igabakyaw sama sa batasan sa Egipto.

²⁶Yahweh of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.

²⁷Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa, nga ang iyang palas-anon makuha gikan sa imong abaga, ug ang iyang yugo gikan sa imong liog, ug ang yugo pagabalion pinaagi sa pagkatambok.

²⁷It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

²⁸Siya miabut sa Ajad, siya miagi sa Migron; didto sa Michmas gipundok niya ang iyang kasangkapan;

²⁸He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.

²⁹Sila mingtabok na sa alagianan; sila anaa nanagpuyo sa Geba; ang Rama mikurog; ang Gabaa ni Saulo mikalagiw.

²⁹They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.

³⁰Suminggit ka sa makusug sa imong tingog, Oh anak ni Galim! Panimati, Oh Lais! Oh ikaw alaut nga Anathoth!

³⁰Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

³¹Madmena maoy katawohan nga kagiw; ang mga molupyo sa Gebim nangalagiw aron maluwas.

³¹Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

³²Niini gayud nga adlawa siya mohunong didto sa Nob: ginauyog niya ang iyang kamot diha sa bukid sa anak nga babaye sa Sion, ang bungtod sa Jerusalem.

³²This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³³Ania karon, ang Ginoo, si Jehova sa mga panon, pamutlan niya ang mga sanga uban sa gahum nga makalilisang: ug ang kahabog sa tindog pagapul-ongon, ug ang hatag-as pagapaub-son.

³³Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.

³⁴Ug iyang pagaputlon ang masiut nga kakahoyan sa kalasangan pinaagi sa puthaw, ug ang Libano mahulog pinaagi sa kamot nga makagagahum.

³⁴He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
