¹Aleluja! ALEF Blago čovjeku koji se boji Jahve BET i koji uživa u naredbama njegovim:

¹Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

²GIMEL moćno će mu biti na zemlji potomstvo, DALET na pravednu će pokoljenju počivati blagoslov.

²His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

³HE Blagostanje i bogatstvo bit će u domu njegovu, VAU njegova pravednost ostaje dovijeka.

³Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house; and his righteousness abideth for ever.

⁴ZAJIN Čestitima sviće k'o svjetlost u tami: HET blag, milosrdan i pravedan Jahve.

⁴Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

⁵TET Dobro je čovjeku koji je milostiv i daje u zajam, JOD koji poslove svoje obavlja pravedno.

⁵It is well with the man that is gracious and lendeth; he will sustain his cause in judgment.

⁶KAF Dovijeka neće on posrnuti: LAMED u vječnome će spomenu biti pravednik.

⁶For he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

⁷MEM Žalosne se vijesti neće bojati, NUN mirno je njegovo srce uzdajuć' se u Jahvu.

⁷He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;

⁸SAMEK Hrabro mu je srce, ničeg se ne boji, AJIN neprijatelje svoje prezire.

⁸His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his oppressors.

⁹PE On prosipa, daje sirotinji: SADE pravednost njegova ostaje dovijeka, KOF njegovo će se čelo slavno uzdići.

⁹He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

¹⁰REŠ Ljutito će to gledati bezbožnik, ŠIN škrgutat će zubima i venuti, TAU propast će želja opakih.

¹⁰The wicked [man] shall see [it] and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
