2Što se to hvališ pakošću, silniče nesmiljeni?
2Thy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit.
3Neprestano snuješ o propasti, jezik ti je britva nabrušena, spletkaru!
3Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4Zlo voliš više nego dobro, i laž više nego pravednost!
4Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!
5Mili su ti pogubni govori, lažljivi jeziče!
5ùGod shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6Bog će te zato satrti, zauvijek te ukloniti; iščupat će te iz tvog šatora, iskorijeniti iz zemlje živih.
6The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, [saying,]
7Pravednici će gledati s užasom i njemu se smijati:
7Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his avarice.
8"Gle čovjeka koji ne uze Boga za svoju zaštitu, već se uzdao u veliko bogatstvo i osilio u svojim zločinima!"
8But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.
9A ja, k'o zelena maslina u Domu Božjem, uzdam se u Božju dobrotu dovijeka.
9I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.
10Hvalit ću te svagda što si to učinio i slavit ću tvoje ime, jer je dobrostivo, pred licem tvojih pobožnika.
