1 Dywedodd y Brenin Dafydd wrth yr holl gynulleidfa, "Y mae fy mab Solomon, a ddewiswyd gan Dduw, yn ifanc a dibrofiad, ond y mae'r gwaith yn fawr oherwydd mai palas i'r ARGLWYDD Dduw, ac nid i fod dynol, yw hwn.
1Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
2 Yr wyf wedi paratoi hyd eithaf fy ngallu ar gyfer tu375? fy Nuw; rhoddais aur ar gyfer popeth aur, arian ar gyfer popeth arian, pres ar gyfer popeth pres, haearn ar gyfer popeth haearn a choed ar gyfer popeth o goed. Rhoddais hefyd feini onyx a meini i'w gosod, meini glas ac amryliw, gemau gwerthfawr o bob math, a llawer o alabastr.
2Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
3 Hefyd, am fy mod yn ymhyfrydu yn nhu375? fy Nuw, yr wyf wedi rhoi fy nhrysor personol o aur ac arian i du375? fy Nuw;
3Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.
4 ar ben y cwbl, yr wyf wedi paratoi ar gyfer y cysegr dair mil o dalentau o aur Offir a saith mil o dalentau o arian coeth, i'w rhoi'n haenau ar barwydydd y tai,
4Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:
5 yr aur ar gyfer popeth aur, a'r arian ar gyfer popeth arian, ac ar gyfer holl waith y rhai celfydd. Pwy sy'n barod i ymgysegru o'i wirfodd i'r ARGLWYDD heddiw?"
5The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?
6 Yna rhoddodd arweinwyr y teuluoedd, penaethiaid llwythau Israel, capteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, a swyddogion gwaith y brenin i gyd offrwm gwirfodd.
6Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,
7 Rhoesant at waith tu375? Dduw bum mil o dalentau aur, deng mil o ddariciau, deng mil o dalentau arian, deunaw mil o dalentau pres a chan mil o dalentau haearn.
7And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
8 Yr oedd pob un a feddai emau gwerthfawr yn eu rhoi yn nhrysordy tu375?'r ARGLWYDD a oedd dan ofal Jehiel y Gersoniad.
8And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 Yr oedd eu haelioni yn achos llawenydd i'r bobl am eu bod yn offrymu i'r ARGLWYDD o'u gwirfodd ac chalon berffaith.
9Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
10 Yr oedd y Brenin Dafydd hefyd yn llawen iawn. Bendithiodd yr ARGLWYDD o flaen yr holl gynulleidfa a dweud, "Bendigedig wyt ti, ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel ein tad, o dragwyddoldeb hyd dragwyddoldeb.
10Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
11 I ti, ARGLWYDD, y perthyn mawredd, gallu, gogoniant, ysblander a mawrhydi; oherwydd y mae popeth yn y nefoedd ac ar y ddaear yn eiddo i ti; ti, ARGLWYDD, biau'r deyrnas, ac fe'th ddyrchafwyd yn ben ar y cwbl.
11Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 Oddi wrthyt ti y daw cyfoeth ac anrhydedd, a thi sy'n arglwyddiaethu ar bopeth; yn dy law di y mae nerth a chadernid, a thi sy'n rhoi cynnydd a chryfder i bob dim.
12Both riches and honor come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 Yn awr, ein Duw, moliannwn di a chlodforwn dy enw gogoneddus.
13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14 Oherwydd pwy wyf fi a'm pobl i fedru rhoi o'n gwirfodd fel hyn? Canys oddi wrthyt ti y daw popeth, ac o'th eiddo dy hun y rhoesom iti.
14But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15 Dieithriaid ac alltudion ydym ni yn dy olwg, fel ein holl hynafiaid; y mae ein dyddiau ar y ddaear fel cysgod, a heb obaith.
15For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
16 ARGLWYDD ein Duw, eiddot ti yw'r holl gyfoeth hwn a phopeth arall a roesom o'r neilltu i adeiladu tu375? iti er anrhydedd i'th enw sanctaidd.
16O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.
17 Gwn, fy Nuw, dy fod yn profi'r galon ac yn ymhyfrydu mewn cyfiawnder. chalon uniawn yr offrymais o'm gwirfodd yr holl bethau hyn; ac yn awr gwelais dy bobl sydd wedi ymgynnull yma yn offrymu iti yn llawen ac o'u gwirfodd.
17I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18 ARGLWYDD Dduw Abraham, Isaac ac Israel, ein tadau, cadw'r dyhead hwn yng nghalon dy bobl am byth, a thro eu calon atat.
18O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
19 Rho galon berffaith i Solomon fy mab, iddo gadw dy orchmynion, dy dystiolaethau a'th ddeddfau, a'u gwneud bob un, ac iddo adeiladu'r deml a ddarperais i."
19And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
20 Dywedodd Dafydd hefyd wrth yr holl dyrfa, "Yn awr bendithiwch yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw." Yna bendithiodd yr holl gynulleidfa ARGLWYDD Dduw eu hynafiaid trwy ymostwng ac ymgrymu i'r ARGLWYDD ac i'r brenin.
20And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
21 Trannoeth aberthasant i'r ARGLWYDD ac offrymu iddo boethoffrymau, sef mil o ychen, mil o hyrddod, mil o u373?yn, ynghyd 'u diodoffrymau a llawer iawn o aberthau dros holl Israel.
21And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
22 Buont yn bwyta ac yn yfed o flaen yr ARGLWYDD y diwrnod hwnnw llawenydd mawr. Gwnaethant Solomon fab Dafydd yn frenin yr ail waith, a'i eneinio ef yn arweinydd i'r ARGLWYDD, a Sadoc yn offeiriad.
22And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
23 Felly eisteddodd Solomon ar orsedd yr ARGLWYDD yn frenin yn lle Dafydd ei dad; cafodd lwyddiant, a bu holl Israel yn ufudd iddo.
23Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 Rhoddodd yr holl swyddogion a'r rhyfelwyr, a phob un o feibion y Brenin Dafydd, wrogaeth i'r Brenin Solomon.
24And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
25 Dyrchafodd yr ARGLWYDD Solomon yn uchel iawn yng ngolwg holl Israel, a rhoi iddo fawrhydi brenhinol na welwyd mo'i debyg gan unrhyw un o frenhinoedd Israel o'i flaen.
25And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
26 Teyrnasodd Dafydd fab Jesse ar Israel gyfan am ddeugain mlynedd;
26Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
27 bu'n frenin am saith mlynedd yn Hebron a thair ar ddeg ar hugain yn Jerwsalem.
27And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
28 Bu farw'n hen u373?r mewn oedran teg, yn berchen ar gyfoeth ac yn llawn anrhydedd; a theyrnasodd ei fab Solomon yn ei le.
28And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
29 Y mae hanes y Brenin Dafydd o'r dechrau i'r diwedd, wedi ei ysgrifennu yng Nghronicl Samuel y gweledydd, Cronicl Nathan y proffwyd, a Chronicl Gad y gweledydd;
29Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
30 yno hefyd ceir hanes ei frenhiniaeth a'i wrhydri, a'r cyfnod yr oedd ef, ac Israel, a holl deyrnasoedd y byd, yn perthyn iddo.
30With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
