1 Ymhen dwy flynedd union breuddwydiodd Pharo ei fod yn sefyll ar lan y Neil.
1And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.
2 A dyma saith o wartheg porthiannus a thew yn esgyn o'r afon, a phori yn y weirglodd;
2And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favored kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.
3 ac yna saith o wartheg eraill, nychlyd a thenau, yn esgyn ar eu hl ac yn sefyll ar lan yr afon yn ymyl y gwartheg eraill.
3And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favored and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
4 Bwytaodd y gwartheg nychlyd a thenau y saith buwch borthiannus a thew. Yna deffrdd Pharo.
4And the ill favored and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favored and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
5 Aeth yn l i gysgu a breuddwydio eilwaith, a gwelodd saith dywysen fras a da yn tyfu ar un gwelltyn;
5And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
6 yna saith dywysen denau, wedi eu deifio gan wynt y dwyrain, yn tarddu ar eu hl.
6And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
7 Llyncodd y tywysennau tenau y saith dywysen fras a llawn. Yna deffrdd Pharo a deall mai breuddwyd ydoedd.
7And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
8 Pan ddaeth y bore, yr oedd wedi cynhyrfu ac anfonodd am holl ddewiniaid a doethion yr Aifft; dywedodd Pharo ei freuddwyd wrthynt, ond ni allai neb ei dehongli iddo.
8And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
9 Yna dywedodd y pen-trulliad wrth Pharo, "Rwy'n cofio heddiw imi fod ar fai.
9Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
10 Pan ffromodd Pharo wrth ei weision a'm rhoi i a'r pen-pobydd yn y ddalfa yn nhu375? pennaeth y gwarchodwyr,
10Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:
11 cawsom ein dau freuddwyd yr un noson, pob un ei freuddwyd ei hun, ac i bob breuddwyd ei hystyr ei hun.
11And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
12 Ac yno gyda ni yr oedd llanc o Hebrwr, gwas pennaeth y gwarchodwyr; wedi inni eu hadrodd iddo, dehonglodd ein breuddwydion i'r naill a'r llall ohonom.
12And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
13 Fel y dehonglodd inni, felly y bu; adferwyd fi i'm swydd, a chrogwyd y llall."
13And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
14 Yna anfonodd Pharo am Joseff, a daethant ag ef ar frys o'r gell; eilliodd yntau a newid ei ddillad, a daeth at Pharo.
14Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
15 A dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Cefais freuddwyd, ac ni all neb ei dehongli, ond clywais amdanat ti dy fod yn gallu gwrando breuddwyd a'i dehongli."
15And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
16 Atebodd Joseff Pharo a dweud, "Nid myfi; Duw a rydd ateb ffafriol i Pharo."
16And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
17 Dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Yn fy mreuddwyd yr oeddwn yn sefyll ar lan y Neil,
17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
18 a dyma saith o wartheg tew a phorthiannus yn esgyn o'r afon, a phori yn y weirglodd;
18And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favored; and they fed in a meadow:
19 ac yna saith o wartheg eraill truenus a nychlyd a thenau iawn, yn dod ar eu hl; ni welais rai cynddrwg yn holl dir yr Aifft.
19And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favored and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20 Bwytaodd y gwartheg tenau a nychlyd y saith o wartheg tewion cyntaf,
20And the lean and the ill favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21 ond er iddynt eu bwyta nid oedd l hynny arnynt, gan eu bod mor denau chynt. Yna deffroais.
21And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
22 Gwelais hefyd yn fy mreuddwyd saith o dywysennau llawn a da yn tyfu ar un gwelltyn;
22And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:
23 a dyma saith dywysen fain a thenau, wedi eu deifio gan wynt y dwyrain, yn tarddu ar eu hl.
23And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
24 Llyncodd y tywysennau tenau y saith dywysen dda. Adroddais hyn wrth y dewiniaid, ond ni allai neb ei egluro i mi."
24And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
25 Yna dywedodd Joseff wrth Pharo, "Un ystyr sydd i freuddwyd Pharo; y mae Duw wedi mynegi i Pharo yr hyn y mae am ei wneud.
25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.
26 Y saith o wartheg da, saith mlynedd ydynt, a'r saith dywysen dda, saith mlynedd ydynt; un freuddwyd sydd yma.
26The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
27 Saith mlynedd hefyd yw'r saith o wartheg tenau a nychlyd a esgynnodd ar eu hl, a saith mlynedd o newyn yw'r saith dywysen wag wedi eu deifio gan wynt y dwyrain.
27And the seven thin and ill favored kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
28 Fel y dywedais wrth Pharo, y mae Duw wedi dangos i Pharo yr hyn y mae am ei wneud.
28This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he showeth unto Pharaoh.
29 Daw saith mlynedd o lawnder mawr trwy holl wlad yr Aifft,
29Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:
30 ond ar eu hl daw saith mlynedd o newyn, ac anghofir yr holl lawnder yng ngwlad yr Aifft; difethir y wlad gan y newyn,
30And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
31 ac ni fydd l y llawnder yn y wlad o achos y newyn hwnnw fydd yn ei ddilyn, gan mor drwm fydd.
31And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.
32 Dyblwyd breuddwyd Pharo am fod y peth mor sicr gan Dduw, a bod Duw ar fin ei gyflawni.
32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
33 Yn awr, dylai Pharo edrych am u373?r deallus a doeth i'w osod ar wlad yr Aifft.
33Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
34 Dyma a ddylai Pharo ei wneud: gosod arolygwyr dros y wlad, i gymryd y bumed ran o gnwd gwlad yr Aifft dros y saith mlynedd o lawnder.
34Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
35 Dylent gasglu holl fwyd y blynyddoedd da sydd ar ddod, a thrwy awdurdod Pharo, dylent gasglu u375?d yn ymborth i'w gadw yn y dinasoedd,
35And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
36 fel y bydd y bwyd ynghadw i'r wlad dros y saith mlynedd o newyn sydd i fod yng ngwlad yr Aifft, rhag i'r wlad gael ei difetha gan y newyn."
36And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
37 Bu'r cyngor yn dderbyniol gan Pharo a'i holl weision.
37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
38 A dywedodd Pharo wrth ei weision, "A fedrwn ni gael gu373?r arall fel hwn ag ysbryd Duw ynddo?"
38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39 Felly dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Am i Dduw roi gwybod hyn oll i ti, nid oes neb mor ddeallus a doeth  thi;
39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
40 ti fydd dros fy nhu375?, a bydd fy holl bobl yn ufudd i ti; yr orsedd yn unig a'm gwna i yn fwy na thi."
40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.
41 Yna dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Dyma fi wedi dy osod di'n ben ar holl wlad yr Aifft,"
41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
42 a thynnodd ei fodrwy oddi ar ei law a'i gosod ar law Joseff, a gwisgo amdano ddillad o liain main, a rhoi cadwyn aur am ei wddf.
42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;
43 Parodd iddo deithio yn ei ail gerbyd, gyda rhai i weiddi o'i flaen, "Plygwch lin." Felly gosododd Pharo ef dros holl wlad yr Aifft.
43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
44 A dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Myfi yw Pharo, ond heb dy ganiatd di nid yw neb i godi na llaw na throed trwy holl wlad yr Aifft."
44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
45 Enwodd Pharo ef Saffnath-panea, a rhoddodd yn wraig iddo Asnath, merch Potiffera offeiriad On. Yna aeth Joseff allan yn bennaeth dros wlad yr Aifft.
45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
46 Deng mlwydd ar hugain oedd oed Joseff pan safodd gerbron Pharo brenin yr Aifft. Aeth allan o u373?ydd Pharo, a thramwyodd trwy holl wlad yr Aifft.
46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
47 Yn ystod y saith mlynedd o lawnder cnydiodd y ddaear yn doreithiog,
47And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.
48 a chasglodd yntau yr holl fwyd a gaed yng ngwlad yr Aifft yn ystod y saith mlynedd, a chrynhoi ymborth yn y dinasoedd. Casglodd i bob dinas fwyd y meysydd o'i hamgylch.
48And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.
49 Felly pentyrrodd Joseff u375?d fel tywod y mr, nes peidio chadw cyfrif, am na ellid ei fesur.
49And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
50 Cyn dyfod blwyddyn y newyn, ganwyd i Joseff ddau fab o Asnath, merch Potiffera offeiriad On.
50And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
51 Enwodd Joseff ei gyntafanedig Manasse "Am fod Duw wedi peri imi anghofio fy holl gyni a holl dylwyth fy nhad."
51And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
52 Enwodd yr ail Effraim "Am fod Duw wedi fy ngwneud i'n ffrwythlon yng ngwlad fy ngorthrymder."
52And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
53 Darfu'r saith mlynedd o lawnder yng ngwlad yr Aifft;
53And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.
54 a dechreuodd y saith mlynedd o newyn, fel yr oedd Joseff wedi dweud. Bu newyn yn yr holl wledydd, ond yr oedd bwyd yn holl wlad yr Aifft.
54And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
55 A phan ddaeth newyn ar holl wlad yr Aifft, galwodd y bobl ar Pharo am fwyd. Dywedodd Pharo wrth yr holl Eifftiaid, "Ewch at Joseff, a gwnewch yr hyn a ddywed ef wrthych."
55And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.
56 Ac fel yr oedd y newyn yn ymledu dros wyneb yr holl dir, agorodd Joseff yr holl ystordai a gwerthodd u375?d i'r Eifftiaid, oherwydd yr oedd y newyn yn drwm yng ngwlad yr Aifft.
56And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
57 Daeth pobl o'r holl wledydd hefyd i'r Aifft at Joseff i brynu, oherwydd yr oedd y newyn yn drwm drwy'r byd i gyd.
57And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
