¹ Yna gwedd�odd Jona ar yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw o fol y pysgodyn a dweud,

¹Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,

² "Gelwais ar yr ARGLWYDD yn fy nghyfyngder, ac atebodd fi; o ddyfnder Sheol y gwaeddais, a chlywaist fy llais.

²And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

³ Teflaist fi i'r dyfnder, i eigion y m�r, a'r llanw yn f'amgylchu; yr oedd dy holl donnau a'th lifeiriant yn mynd dros fy mhen.

³For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

⁴ Yna dywedais, 'Fe'm gyrrwyd allan o'th olwg di; sut y caf edrych eto ar dy deml sanctaidd?'

⁴Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

⁵ Caeodd y dyfroedd amdanaf, a'r dyfnder o'm cwmpas; clymodd y gwymon am fy mhen wrth wreiddiau'r mynyddoedd;

⁵The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

⁶ euthum i lawr i'r wlad y caeodd ei bolltau arnaf am byth. Eto, dygaist fy mywyd i fyny o'r pwll, O ARGLWYDD fy Nuw.

⁶I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

⁷ Pan deimlais fy hun yn llewygu, cofiais am yr ARGLWYDD, a daeth fy ngweddi atat i'th deml sanctaidd.

⁷When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

⁸ Y mae'r rhai sy'n addoli eilunod gwag yn gwadu eu teyrngarwch.

⁸They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

⁹ Ond aberthaf i ti � ch�n o ddiolch. Talaf yr hyn a addunedais; i'r ARGLWYDD y perthyn gwaredu."

⁹But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.

¹⁰ A llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth y pysgodyn, a chwydodd yntau Jona ar y lan.

¹⁰And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
