King James Version

Joshua

24

1 Casglodd Josua holl lwythau Israel ynghyd i Sichem, a galwodd henuriaid, penaethiaid, barnwyr a swyddogion Israel i ymddangos gerbron Duw.
1And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.
2 Yna dywedodd Josua wrth yr holl bobl, "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel: 'Ers talwm yr oedd Tera, tad Abraham a Nachor eich hynafiaid, yn byw y tu hwnt i'r Ewffrates ac yn addoli duwiau estron.
2And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.
3 Ond fe gymerais eich tad Abraham o'r tu hwnt i'r Ewffrates a'i arwain trwy holl wlad Canaan, ac amlhau ei ddisgynyddion. Rhoddais iddo Isaac;
3And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
4 ac i Isaac rhoddais Jacob ac Esau. Rhoddais fynydddir Seir yn eiddo i Esau, ond aeth Jacob a'i blant i lawr i'r Aifft.
4And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.
5 Yna anfonais Moses ac Aaron, a gosod pla ar yr Aifft, trwy'r hyn a wneuthum yno; wedi hynny deuthum chwi allan.
5I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out.
6 Deuthum 'ch hynafiaid allan o'r Aifft hyd at y mr, a'r Eifftiaid yn eu hymlid cherbydau a gwu375?r meirch hyd at y Mr Coch.
6And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and ye came unto the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen unto the Red sea.
7 Gwaeddodd eich hynafiaid ar yr ARGLWYDD, a gosododd dywyllwch rhyngddynt a'r Eifftiaid, a pheri i'r mr eu goddiweddyd a'u gorchuddio. Gwelsoch 'ch llygaid eich hunain yr hyn a wneuthum yn yr Aifft, ac wedi hynny buoch yn byw yn yr anialwch am gyfnod maith.
7And when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season.
8 Yna deuthum chwi i wlad yr Amoriaid, sy'n byw y tu hwnt i'r Iorddonen, ac er iddynt ryfela yn eich erbyn, rhoddais hwy yn eich llaw, a chawsoch feddiannu eu gwlad, wedi imi eu distrywio o'ch blaen.
8And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.
9 Cododd Balac fab Sippor, brenin Moab, a rhyfela yn erbyn Israel, ac anfonodd i wahodd Balaam fab Beor i'ch melltithio.
9Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you:
10 Ond ni fynnwn wrando ar Balaam; am hynny fe'ch bendithiodd dro ar l tro, a gwaredais chwi o afael Balac.
10But I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.
11 Wedi ichwi groesi'r Iorddonen a dod i Jericho, brwydrodd llywodraethwyr Jericho yn eich erbyn (Amoriaid, Peresiaid, Canaaneaid, Hethiaid, Girgasiaid, Hefiaid a Jebusiaid), ond rhoddais hwy yn eich llaw.
11And you went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.
12 Anfonais gacynen o'ch blaen; a hon, nid eich cleddyf na'ch bwa chwi, a yrrodd ddau frenin yr Amoriaid ymaith o'ch blaen.
12And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.
13 Rhoddais ichwi wlad nad oeddech wedi llafurio ynddi, a chawsoch drefi i fyw ynddynt heb ichwi eu hadeiladu; a chawsoch gynhaliaeth o winllannoedd ac olewydd na fu i chwi eu plannu.'
13And I have given you a land for which ye did not labor, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
14 "Am hynny ofnwch yr ARGLWYDD, gwasanaethwch ef yn ddidwyll ac yn ffyddlon; bwriwch ymaith y duwiau y bu'ch hynafiaid yn eu gwasanaethu y tu hwnt i'r Afon ac yn yr Aifft. Gwasanaethwch yr ARGLWYDD; ac
14Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
15 oni ddymunwch wasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD, dewiswch ichwi'n awr pwy a wasanaethwch: ai'r duwiau a wasanaethodd eich hynafiaid pan oeddent y tu hwnt i'r Afon, ai ynteu duwiau'r Amoriaid yr ydych yn byw yn eu gwlad? Ond byddaf fi a'm teulu yn gwasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD."
15And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
16 Atebodd y bobl a dweud, "Pell y bo oddi wrthym adael yr ARGLWYDD i wasanaethu duwiau estron!
16And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
17 Oherwydd yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw a ddaeth ni a'n tadau i fyny o wlad yr Aifft, o du375? caethiwed, ac a wnaeth yr arwyddion mawr hyn yn ein gu373?ydd, a'n cadw bob cam o'r ffordd y daethom, ac ymysg yr holl bobloedd y buom yn tramwy yn eu plith.
17For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
18 Hefyd gyrrodd yr ARGLWYDD allan o'n blaen yr holl bobloedd a'r Amoriaid oedd yn y wlad. Yr ydym ninnau hefyd am wasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD, oherwydd ef yw ein Duw."
18And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
19 Ond dywedodd Josua wrth y bobl, "Ni fedrwch wasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD, oherwydd y mae'n Dduw sanctaidd, ac yn Dduw eiddigus, ac ni fydd yn maddau eich troseddau a'ch pechodau.
19And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
20 Os gadewch yr ARGLWYDD a gwasanaethu duwiau estron, bydd yn troi ac yn gwneud niwed i chwi ac yn eich difodi, er yr holl dda a wnaeth i chwi."
20If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.
21 Dywedodd y bobl wrth Josua, "Na, yr ydym am wasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD."
21And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.
22 Yna dywedodd Josua wrth y bobl, "Yr ydych yn dystion yn eich erbyn eich hunain i chwi ddewis gwasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD." Atebasant hwythau, "Tystion ydym."
22And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 "Yn awr ynteu," meddai, "bwriwch allan y duwiau estron sydd yn eich mysg, a throwch eich calon at yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel."
23Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
24 Dywedodd y bobl wrth Josua, "Fe addolwn yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw, a gwrandawn ar ei lais ef."
24And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
25 Gwnaeth Josua gyfamod 'r bobl y diwrnod hwnnw yn Sichem, a gosod deddf a chyfraith ar eu cyfer.
25So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
26 Ysgrifennodd y geiriau hynny yn llyfr cyfraith Duw, a chymryd maen mawr a'i osod i fyny yno o dan dderwen oedd yng nghysegr yr ARGLWYDD.
26And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
27 Dywedodd wrth yr holl bobl, "Edrychwch, bydd y maen hwn yn dystiolaeth yn ein herbyn, oherwydd clywodd yr holl eiriau a lefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthym, a bydd yn dystiolaeth yn eich erbyn os byddwch yn gwadu eich Duw."
27And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
28 Yna gollyngodd Josua'r bobl, bob un i'w etifeddiaeth.
28So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance.
29 Wedi'r pethau hyn bu farw Josua fab Nun, gwas yr ARGLWYDD, yn gant a deg oed.
29And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
30 Claddwyd ef o fewn terfynau ei etifeddiaeth, yn Timnathsera ym mynydd-dir Effraim, i'r gogledd o Fynydd Gaas.
30And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash.
31 Gwasanaethodd Israel yr ARGLWYDD holl ddyddiau Josua, a holl ddyddiau'r henuriaid hynny a oroesodd Josua ac a wyddai am yr y cyfan a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD dros Israel.
31And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the LORD, that he had done for Israel.
32 Yr oedd yr Israeliaid wedi cludo esgyrn Joseff o'r Aifft, a chladdwyd hwy yn Sichem yn y llain o dir a brynodd Jacob gan feibion Hamor, tad Sichem, am gant o ddarnau arian, i fod yn eiddo i blant Joseff.
32And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.
33 Pan fu farw Eleasar fab Aaron, claddwyd ef yn y bryn a roddwyd i'w fab Phinees ym mynydddir Effraim.
33And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phinehas his son, which was given him in mount Ephraim.
