¹ Yr oedd ef yn gwedd�o mewn rhyw fan, ac wedi iddo orffen dywedodd un o'i ddisgyblion wrtho, "Arglwydd, dysg i ni wedd�o, fel y dysgodd Ioan yntau i'w ddisgyblion ef."

¹And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

² Ac meddai wrthynt, "Pan wedd�wch, dywedwch: 'Dad, sancteiddier dy enw; deled dy deyrnas;

²And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

³ dyro inni o ddydd i ddydd ein bara beunyddiol;

³Give us day by day our daily bread.

⁴ a maddau inni ein pechodau, oherwydd yr ydym ninnau yn maddau i bob un sy'n troseddu yn ein herbyn; a phaid �'n dwyn i brawf.'"

⁴And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

⁵ Yna meddai wrthynt, "Pe bai un ohonoch yn mynd at gyfaill ganol nos ac yn dweud wrtho, 'Gyfaill, rho fenthyg tair torth imi,

⁵And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

⁶ oherwydd y mae cyfaill imi wedi cyrraedd acw ar �l taith, ac nid oes gennyf ddim i'w osod o'i flaen';

⁶For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

⁷ a phe bai yntau yn ateb o'r tu mewn, 'Paid �'m blino; y mae'r drws erbyn hyn wedi ei folltio, a'm plant gyda mi yn y gwely; ni allaf godi i roi dim iti',

⁷And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

⁸ rwy'n dweud wrthych, hyd yn oed os gwrthyd ef godi a rhoi rhywbeth iddo o achos eu cyfeillgarwch, eto oherwydd ei daerni digywilydd fe fydd yn codi ac yn rhoi iddo gymaint ag sydd arno ei eisiau.

⁸I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

⁹ Ac yr wyf fi'n dweud wrthych: gofynnwch, ac fe roddir i chwi; ceisiwch, ac fe gewch; curwch, ac fe agorir i chwi.

⁹And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

¹⁰ Oherwydd y mae pawb sy'n gofyn yn derbyn, a'r sawl sy'n ceisio yn cael, ac i'r un sy'n curo agorir y drws.

¹⁰For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

¹¹ Os bydd mab un ohonoch yn gofyn i'w dad am bysgodyn, a rydd ef iddo sarff yn lle pysgodyn?

¹¹If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

¹² Neu os bydd yn gofyn am wy, a rydd ef iddo ysgorpion?

¹²Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

¹³ Am hynny, os ydych chwi, sy'n ddrwg, yn medru rhoi rhoddion da i'ch plant, gymaint mwy y rhydd y Tad nefol yr Ysbryd Gl�n i'r rhai sy'n gofyn ganddo."

¹³If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

¹⁴ Yr oedd yn bwrw allan gythraul, a hwnnw'n un mud. Ac wedi i'r cythraul fynd allan, llefarodd y mudan. Synnodd y tyrfaoedd,

¹⁴And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

¹⁵ ond meddai rhai ohonynt, "Trwy Beelsebwl, pennaeth y cythreuliaid, y mae'n bwrw allan gythreuliaid."

¹⁵But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

¹⁶ Yr oedd eraill am ei brofi, a gofynasant am arwydd ganddo o'r nef.

¹⁶And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

¹⁷ Ond yr oedd ef yn deall eu meddyliau hwy, ac meddai wrthynt, "Caiff pob teyrnas a ymrannodd yn ei herbyn ei hun ei difrodi, a'r tai yn cwympo ar ben ei gilydd.

¹⁷But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

¹⁸ Ac os yw Satan yntau wedi ymrannu yn ei erbyn ei hun, sut y saif ei deyrnas? � gan eich bod chwi'n dweud mai trwy Beelsebwl yr wyf yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid.

¹⁸If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

¹⁹ Ac os trwy Beelsebwl yr wyf fi'n bwrw allan gythreuliaid, trwy bwy y mae eich disgyblion chwi yn eu bwrw allan? Am hynny hwy fydd yn eich barnu.

¹⁹And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

²⁰ Ond os trwy fys Duw yr wyf fi'n bwrw allan gythreuliaid, yna y mae teyrnas Dduw wedi cyrraedd atoch.

²⁰But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

²¹ Pan fydd dyn cryf yn ei arfwisg yn gwarchod ei blasty ei hun, bydd ei eiddo yn cael llonydd;

²¹When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

²² ond pan fydd un cryfach nag ef yn ymosod arno ac yn ei drechu, bydd hwnnw'n cymryd yr arfwisg yr oedd ef wedi ymddiried ynddi, ac yn rhannu'r ysbail.

²²But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

²³ Os nad yw rhywun gyda mi, yn fy erbyn i y mae, ac os nad yw'n casglu gyda mi, gwasgaru y mae.

²³He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

²⁴ "Pan fydd ysbryd aflan yn mynd allan o rywun, bydd yn rhodio trwy fannau sychion gan geisio gorffwysfa, ond heb ei gael. Yna y mae'n dweud, 'Mi ddychwelaf i'm cartref, y lle y deuthum ohono.'

²⁴When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

²⁵ Wedi cyrraedd, y mae'n ei gael wedi ei ysgubo a'i osod mewn trefn.

²⁵And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

²⁶ Yna y mae'n mynd ac yn cymryd ato saith ysbryd arall mwy drygionus nag ef ei hun; y maent yn mynd i mewn ac yn ymgartrefu yno; ac y mae cyflwr olaf y dyn hwnnw yn waeth na'r cyntaf."

²⁶Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

²⁷ Wrth iddo ddweud hyn, cododd gwraig o'r dyrfa ei llais ac meddai wrtho, "Gwyn eu byd y groth a'th gariodd di a'r bronnau a sugnaist."

²⁷And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

²⁸ "Nage," meddai ef, "gwyn eu byd y rhai sy'n clywed gair Duw ac yn ei gadw."

²⁸But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

²⁹ Wrth i'r tyrfaoedd gynyddu, dechreuodd lefaru: "Y mae'r genhedlaeth hon yn genhedlaeth ddrygionus; y mae'n ceisio arwydd. Eto ni roddir arwydd iddi ond arwydd Jona.

²⁹And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

³⁰ Oherwydd fel y bu Jona yn arwydd i bobl Ninefe, felly y bydd Mab y Dyn yntau i'r genhedlaeth hon.

³⁰For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

³¹ Bydd Brenhines y De yn codi yn y Farn gyda phobl y genhedlaeth hon, ac yn eu condemnio hwy; oherwydd daeth hi o eithafoedd y ddaear i glywed doethineb Solomon, ac yr ydych chwi'n gweld yma beth mwy na Solomon.

³¹The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

³² Bydd pobl Ninefe yn codi yn y Farn gyda'r genhedlaeth hon, ac yn ei chondemnio hi; oherwydd edifarhasant hwy dan genadwri Jona, ac yr ydych chwi'n gweld yma beth mwy na Jona.

³²The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

³³ "Ni bydd neb yn cynnau cannwyll ac yn ei rhoi mewn man cudd neu dan lestr, ond ar ganhwyllbren, er mwyn i'r rhai sy'n dod i mewn weld ei goleuni.

³³No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

³⁴ Dy lygad yw cannwyll dy gorff. Pan fydd dy lygad yn iach, y mae dy gorff hefyd yn llawn goleuni; ond pan fydd yn s�l, y mae dy gorff hefyd yn llawn tywyllwch.

³⁴The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

³⁵ Ystyria gan hynny ai tywyllwch yw'r goleuni sydd ynot ti.

³⁵Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

³⁶ Felly, os yw dy gorff yn llawn goleuni, heb unrhyw ran ohono mewn tywyllwch, bydd yn llawn goleuni, fel pan fydd cannwyll yn dy oleuo �'i llewyrch."

³⁶If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

³⁷ Pan orffennodd lefaru, gwahoddodd Pharisead ef i bryd o fwyd yn ei du375?. Aeth i mewn a chymryd ei le wrth y bwrdd.

³⁷And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

³⁸ Pan welodd y Pharisead nad oedd wedi ymolchi yn gyntaf cyn bwyta, fe synnodd.

³⁸And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

³⁹ Ond meddai'r Arglwydd wrtho, "Yr ydych chwi'r Phariseaid yn wir yn glanhau tu allan y cwpan a'r ddysgl, ond o'ch mewn yr ydych yn llawn anrhaith a drygioni.

³⁹And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

⁴⁰ Ynfydion, onid yr hwn a wnaeth y tu allan a wnaeth y tu mewn hefyd?

⁴⁰Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

⁴¹ Ond rhowch yn elusen y pethau sydd y tu mewn i'r cwpan, a dyna bopeth yn l�n ichwi.

⁴¹But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

⁴² Ond gwae chwi'r Phariseaid, oherwydd yr ydych yn talu degwm o fintys a rhyw a phob llysieuyn, ond yn diystyru cyfiawnder a chariad Duw, yr union bethau y dylasech ofalu amdanynt, ond heb esgeuluso'r lleill.

⁴²But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

⁴³ Gwae chwi'r Phariseaid, oherwydd yr ydych yn caru'r prif gadeiriau yn y synagogau a'r cyfarchiadau yn y marchnadoedd.

⁴³Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

⁴⁴ Gwae chwi, oherwydd yr ydych fel beddau heb eu nodi, a phobl yn cerdded drostynt yn ddiarwybod."

⁴⁴Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

⁴⁵ Atebodd un o athrawon y Gyfraith ef, "Athro, wrth ddweud hyn yr wyt yn ein sarhau ninnau."

⁴⁵Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

⁴⁶ Meddai ef, "Gwae chwithau athrawon y Gyfraith, oherwydd yr ydych yn beichio pobl � beichiau anodd eu dwyn, beichiau nad yw un o'ch bysedd chwi byth yn cyffwrdd � hwy.

⁴⁶And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

⁴⁷ Gwae chwi, oherwydd yr ydych yn codi beddfeini i'r proffwydi, ond eich hynafiaid chwi a'u lladdodd.

⁴⁷Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

⁴⁸ Gan hynny, yn �l eich tystiolaeth eich hunain, yr ydych yn cymeradwyo gweithredoedd eich hynafiaid, oherwydd hwy a'u lladdodd, a chwi sy'n codi'r beddfeini.

⁴⁸Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

⁴⁹ Am hynny hefyd y dywedodd Doethineb Duw, 'Anfonaf atynt broffwydi ac apostolion, a byddant yn lladd ac yn erlid rhai ohonynt';

⁴⁹Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

⁵⁰ ac felly gelwir y genhedlaeth hon i gyfrif am waed yr holl broffwydi, a dywalltwyd er seiliad y byd,

⁵⁰That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

⁵¹ o waed Abel hyd at waed Sechareia, a drengodd rhwng yr allor a'r cysegr. Ie, rwy'n dweud wrthych, fe elwir y genhedlaeth hon i gyfrif amdano.

⁵¹From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

⁵² Gwae chwi athrawon y Gyfraith, oherwydd ichwi gymryd ymaith allwedd gwybodaeth; nid aethoch i mewn eich hunain, a'r rhai oedd am fynd i mewn, eu rhwystro a wnaethoch."

⁵²Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

⁵³ Wedi iddo fynd allan oddi yno dechreuodd yr ysgrifenyddion a'r Phariseaid fagu dig tuag ato, a'i holi yn fanwl ynghylch llawer o bethau,

⁵³And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

⁵⁴ gan aros fel helwyr i'w faglu ar ryw air o'i enau.

⁵⁴Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
