¹ "Wele fi'n anfon fy nghennad i baratoi fy ffordd o'm blaen; ac yn sydyn fe ddaw'r Arglwydd yr ydych yn ei geisio i mewn i'w deml; y mae cennad y cyfamod yr ydych yn hoff ohono yn dod," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

¹Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

² Pwy a all ddal dydd ei ddyfodiad, a phwy a saif pan ymddengys? Y mae fel t�n coethydd ac fel sebon golchydd.

²But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

³ Fe eistedd i lawr fel un yn coethi a phuro arian, ac fe bura feibion Lefi a'u coethi fel aur ac arian, er mwyn iddynt fod yn addas i ddwyn offrymau i'r ARGLWYDD.

³And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

⁴ Yna bydd offrwm Jwda a Jerwsalem yn hyfrydwch i'r ARGLWYDD, fel yn y dyddiau gynt a'r blynyddoedd a fu.

⁴Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

⁵ "Yna nes�f atoch i farn, yn dyst parod yn erbyn dewiniaid a godinebwyr; yn erbyn y rhai sy'n tyngu'n gelwyddog; yn erbyn y rhai sy'n gorthrymu'r gwas cyflog, y weddw a'r amddifad; yn erbyn y rhai sy'n gwthio'r estron o'r neilltu, ac nad ydynt yn fy ofni i," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

⁵And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

⁶ "Oherwydd nid wyf fi, yr ARGLWYDD, yn newid, ac nid ydych chwithau'n peidio � bod yn blant Jacob.

⁶For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

⁷ O ddyddiau eich hynafiaid, troesoch oddi wrth fy neddfau a pheidio �'u cadw. Dychwelwch ataf fi, a dychwelaf finnau atoch chwi," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd. "A dywedwch, 'Sut y dychwelwn?'

⁷Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

⁸ A ysbeilia rhywun Dduw? Eto yr ydych chwi yn fy ysbeilio i. A dywedwch, 'Sut yr ydym yn dy ysbeilio?' Yn eich degymau a'ch cyfraniadau.

⁸Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

⁹ Fe'ch melltithiwyd � melltith am eich bod yn fy ysbeilio i, y genedl gyfan ohonoch.

⁹Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

¹⁰ Dygwch y degwm llawn i'r trysordy, fel y bo bwyd yn fy nhu375?. Profwch fi yn hyn," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, "nes imi agor i chwi ffenestri'r nefoedd a thywallt arnoch fendith yn helaeth.

¹⁰Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

¹¹ Ceryddaf hefyd y locust, rhag iddo ddifetha cynnyrch eich tir a gwneud eich gwinwydden yn ddiffrwyth," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

¹¹And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

¹² "Yna bydd yr holl genhedloedd yn dweud, 'Gwyn eich byd', oherwydd byddwch yn wlad o hyfrydwch," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

¹²And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

¹³ "Bu eich geiriau'n galed yn f'erbyn," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "a dywedwch, 'Beth a ddywedasom yn dy erbyn?'

¹³Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

¹⁴ Dywedasoch, 'Ofer yw gwasanaethu Duw. Pa ennill yw cadw ei ddeddfau neu rodio'n wynepdrist gerbron ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd?

¹⁴Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

¹⁵ Yn awr, yr ydym ni'n ystyried mai'r trahaus sy'n hapus, ac mai'r rhai sy'n gwneud drwg sy'n llwyddo, ac yn dianc hefyd er iddynt herio Duw.'"

¹⁵And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

¹⁶ Yna, fel yr oedd y rhai a ofnai Dduw yn siarad �'i gilydd, sylwodd Duw a gwrando, ac ysgrifennwyd ger ei fron gofrestr o'r rhai a oedd yn ofni'r ARGLWYDD ac yn meddwl am ei enw.

¹⁶Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

¹⁷ "Eiddof fi fyddant," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, "fy eiddo arbennig ar y dydd pan weithredaf; ac arbedaf hwy fel y mae dyn yn arbed ei fab, a'i gwasanaetha.

¹⁷And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

¹⁸ Yna, unwaith eto, byddwch yn gweld rhagor rhwng y cyfiawn a'r drygionus, rhwng yr un sy'n gwasanaethu Duw a'r un nad yw."

¹⁸Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
