¹ Clywch yn awr beth a ddywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Cod, dadlau dy achos o flaen y mynyddoedd, a bydded i'r bryniau glywed dy lais.

¹Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.

² Clywch achos yr ARGLWYDD, chwi fynyddoedd, chwi gadarn sylfeini'r ddaear; oherwydd y mae gan yr ARGLWYDD achos yn erbyn ei bobl, ac fe'i dadlau yn erbyn Israel.

²Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

³ O fy mhobl, beth a wneuthum i ti? Sut y blinais di? Ateb fi.

³O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

⁴ Dygais di i fyny o'r Aifft, gwaredais di o du375?'r caethiwed, a rhoddais Moses, Aaron a Miriam i'th arwain.

⁴For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

⁵ O fy mhobl, cofia beth oedd bwriad Balac brenin Moab, a sut yr atebodd Balaam fab Beor ef, a hefyd y daith o Sittim i Gilgal, er mwyn iti wybod cyfiawnder yr ARGLWYDD."

⁵O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

⁶ � pha beth y dof o flaen yr ARGLWYDD, a phlygu gerbron y Duw uchel? A ddof ger ei fron � phoethoffrymau, neu � lloi blwydd?

⁶Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

⁷ A fydd yr ARGLWYDD yn fodlon ar filoedd o hyrddod neu ar fyrddiwn o afonydd olew? A rof fy nghyntafanedig am fy nghamwedd, fy mhlant fy hun am fy mhechod?

⁷Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

⁸ Dywedodd wrthyt, feidrolyn, beth sydd dda, a'r hyn a gais yr ARGLWYDD gennyt: dim ond gwneud beth sy'n iawn, caru teyrngarwch, ac ymostwng i rodio'n ostyngedig gyda'th Dduw.

⁸He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

⁹ Clyw! Y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn gweiddi ar y ddinas � y mae llwyddiant o ofni ei enw: "Gwrando, di lwyth, a chyngor y ddinas.

⁹The LORD's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

¹⁰ A anghofiaf enillion twyllodrus yn nhu375?'r twyllwr, a'r mesur prin sy'n felltigedig?

¹⁰Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?

¹¹ A oddefaf gloriannau twyllodrus, neu gyfres o bwysau ysgafn?

¹¹Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

¹² Y mae ei chyfoethogion yn llawn trais, a'i thrigolion yn dweud celwydd, a thafodau ffals yn eu genau.

¹²For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

¹³ Ond yr wyf fi'n dy daro nes dy glwyfo, i'th anrheithio am dy bechodau:

¹³Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

¹⁴ byddi'n bwyta, ond heb dy ddigoni, a bydd y bwyd yn pwyso ar dy stumog; byddi'n cilio, ond heb ddianc, a'r sawl a ddianc, fe'i lladdaf �'r cleddyf;

¹⁴Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.

¹⁵ byddi'n hau, ond heb fedi, yn sathru olewydd, ond heb ddefnyddio'r olew, a gwinwydd, ond heb yfed gwin.

¹⁵Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.

¹⁶ Cedwaist ddeddfau Omri, a holl weithredoedd tu375? Ahab, a dilynaist eu cynghorion, er mwyn imi dy wneud yn ddiffaith a'th drigolion yn gyff gwawd; a dygwch ddirmyg y bobl."

¹⁶For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
