Numbers

16

1 Aeth Cora fab Ishar, fab Cohath, fab Lefi, gyda'r Reubeniaid Dathan ac Abiram, feibion Eliab, ac On fab Peleth, i gynnull dynion
1Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
2 i godi yn erbyn Moses; gyda hwy yr oedd dau gant a hanner o bobl Israel, a'r rheini'n wu375?r adnabyddus o blith penaethiaid ac arweinwyr y cynulliad.
2And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
3 Wedi iddynt ymgynnull yn erbyn Moses ac Aaron, dywedasant wrthynt, "Yr ydych wedi cymryd gormod arnoch eich hunain. Y mae pob un o'r holl gynulliad yn sanctaidd, ac y mae'r ARGLWYDD gyda hwy; pam felly yr ydych chwi yn eich dyrchafu eich hunain uwchlaw cynulliad yr ARGLWYDD?"
3And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
4 Pan glywodd Moses hyn, syrthiodd ar ei wyneb,
4And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
5 a dywedodd wrth Cora a'i holl gwmni, "Yn y bore bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn datguddio pwy sy'n eiddo iddo ef, pwy sy'n sanctaidd, a phwy sy'n cael dynesu ato; pwy bynnag y bydd ef yn ei ddewis fydd yn cael dynesu ato.
5And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
6 Dyma yr ydych i'w wneud: yr wyt ti, Cora, a'th holl gwmni i gymryd thuserau;
6This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
7 ac yfory, gerbron yr ARGLWYDD, rhowch dn ynddynt a gosodwch arogldarth arnynt, a'r un a ddewisa'r ARGLWYDD fydd yn sanctaidd. Yr ydych chwi, feibion Lefi, wedi cymryd gormod arnoch eich hunain."
7And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
8 Dywedodd Moses hefyd wrth Cora, "Gwrandewch, feibion Lefi.
8And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
9 Ai peth dibwys yn eich golwg yw fod Duw Israel wedi eich neilltuo chwi o blith cynulliad Israel, ichwi ddynesu ato a gwasanaethu yn nhabernacl yr ARGLWYDD a sefyll o flaen y cynulliad a gweini arnynt?
9Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
10 Y mae wedi caniatu i ti a'th holl frodyr, meibion Lefi, ddynesu ato; a ydych am geisio bod yn offeiriaid hefyd?
10And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
11 Yr wyt ti a'th holl gwmni wedi ymgynnull yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD; pam, felly, yr ydych yn grwgnach yn erbyn Aaron?"
11For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
12 Yna galwodd Moses am Dathan ac Abiram, feibion Eliab, ond dywedasant hwy, "Nid ydym am ddod.
12And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
13 Ai peth dibwys yw dy fod wedi dod ni allan o wlad yn llifeirio o laeth a ml, i'n lladd yn yr anialwch? A wyt hefyd am dy osod dy hun yn bennaeth arnom?
13Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
14 Yn wir, ni ddaethost ni i wlad yn llifeirio o laeth a ml, na rhoi inni faes na gwinllan yn feddiant. A wyt am ddallu'r dynion hyn? Nid ydym am ddod."
14Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
15 Yr oedd Moses yn ddig iawn, a dywedodd wrth yr ARGLWYDD, "Paid ag edrych ar eu hoffrwm. Ni chymerais gymaint ag un asyn oddi arnynt, ac nid wyf wedi gwneud cam 'r un ohonynt."
15And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
16 Dywedodd Moses wrth Cora, "Yr wyt ti a'th holl gwmni ac Aaron i fod yn bresennol gerbron yr ARGLWYDD yfory.
16And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
17 Y mae pob un i gymryd ei thuser a rhoi arogldarth ynddo, a dod ag ef gerbron yr ARGLWYDD; yr wyt ti, Aaron, a phob un arall i ddod thuser, a bydd dau gant a hanner ohonynt."
17And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
18 Felly cymerodd pob un ei thuser a rhoi tn ynddynt a gosod arogldarth arnynt, a sefyll gyda Moses ac Aaron wrth ddrws pabell y cyfarfod;
18And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
19 ac ymddangosodd gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD i'r holl gynulliad.
19And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.
20 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses ac Aaron,
20And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
21 "Ymwahanwch oddi wrth y cynulliad hwn, oherwydd yr wyf am eu difa ar unwaith."
21Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
22 Ond syrthiasant hwy ar eu hwynebau, a dweud, "O Dduw, Duw ysbryd pob cnawd, a wyt am ddigio wrth yr holl gynulliad am fod un dyn wedi pechu?"
22And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
23 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
23And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 "Dywed wrth y cynulliad am fynd ymaith oddi wrth babell Cora, Dathan ac Abiram."
24Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
25 Cododd Moses ac aeth at Dathan ac Abiram, a dilynodd henuriaid Israel ef.
25And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
26 Yna dywedodd wrth y cynulliad, "Ewch allan o bebyll y dynion drwg hyn, a pheidiwch chyffwrdd dim o'u heiddo, rhag ichwi gael eich difa am eu holl bechodau hwy."
26And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
27 Felly aethant draw oddi wrth babell Cora, Dathan ac Abiram; a daeth Dathan ac Abiram allan gyda'u gwragedd, eu plant a'u rhai bychain, a sefyll wrth ddrws eu pebyll.
27So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
28 Dywedodd Moses, "Cewch wybod trwy hyn mai'r ARGLWYDD a'm hanfonodd i wneud yr holl bethau hyn, ac nad o'm dyfais fy hun y gwneuthum hwy.
28And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
29 Os bydd y dynion hyn farw'n naturiol, a phrofi'r un ffawd ag sy'n dod yn arferol i bobl, yna nid yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi fy anfon.
29If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.
30 Ond os gwna'r ARGLWYDD rywbeth newydd, trwy beri i'r ddaear agor ei genau a'u llyncu hwy a phopeth a berthyn iddynt, fel eu bod yn disgyn yn fyw i Sheol, yna byddwch yn gwybod bod y dynion hyn wedi dirmygu'r ARGLWYDD."
30But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
31 Fel yr oedd yn gorffen dweud hyn i gyd, holltodd y tir odanynt,
31And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
32 ac agorodd y ddaear ei genau a'u llyncu hwy a'u tylwyth, a holl ddynion Cora a'u heiddo i gyd.
32And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
33 Felly disgynasant hwy, a phawb oedd gyda hwy, yn fyw i Sheol; yna caeodd y ddaear amdanynt, a difawyd hwy o blith y cynulliad.
33They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
34 Wrth iddynt weiddi, ffodd yr holl Israeliaid oedd o'u hamgylch, gan ddweud, "Rhag i'r ddaear ein llyncu ninnau!"
34And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
35 Yna daeth tn oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD a difa'r ddau gant a hanner o ddynion oedd yn offrymu arogldarth.
35And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
36 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
36And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
37 "Dywed wrth Eleasar fab Aaron yr offeiriad am godi'r thuserau allan o'r goelcerth, am eu bod yn sanctaidd, a thaenu'r tn ar wasgar;
37Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
38 yna y mae thuserau'r rhai a bechodd, ac a fu farw, i'w curo'n blatiau i wneud caead ar yr allor, oherwydd y maent yn sanctaidd am iddynt gael eu hoffrymu gerbron yr ARGLWYDD; felly byddant yn arwydd i bobl Israel."
38The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
39 Yna cymerodd Eleasar yr offeiriad y thuserau pres, a offrymwyd gan y rhai a gafodd eu llosgi, ac fe'u curwyd i wneud caead i'r allor,
39And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
40 i atgoffa pobl Israel nad oedd neb heblaw'r rhai oedd yn gymwys, sef disgynyddion Aaron, i ddynesu i losgi arogldarth gerbron yr ARGLWYDD, rhag iddo fod fel Cora a'i gwmni. Gwnaed hyn fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi dweud wrth Eleasar trwy Moses.
40To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
41 Trannoeth dechreuodd holl gynulliad pobl Israel rwgnach yn erbyn Moses ac Aaron, a dweud, "Yr ydych wedi lladd pobl yr ARGLWYDD."
41But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
42 Ac wedi i'r cynulliad ymgynnull yn erbyn Moses ac Aaron, troesant at babell y cyfarfod a gwelsant gwmwl yn ei gorchuddio a gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD yn ymddangos.
42And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
43 Yna daeth Moses ac Aaron o flaen pabell y cyfarfod,
43And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
44 a dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
44And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
45 "Ewch ymaith o blith y cynulliad hwn, oherwydd yr wyf am eu difa ar unwaith." Syrthiasant ar eu hwynebau,
45Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
46 a dywedodd Moses wrth Aaron, "Cymer thuser, a rho ynddo dn oddi ar yr allor, a gosod arno arogldarth, a dos rhag blaen at y cynulliad, a gwna gymod drostynt; daeth digofaint oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD, ac y mae'r pla wedi dechrau."
46And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
47 Gwnaeth Aaron fel yr oedd Moses wedi dweud, a rhedodd i ganol y cynulliad, ond gwelodd fod y pla eisoes wedi dechrau ymhlith y bobl. Rhoddodd arogldarth ar y thuser, a gwnaeth gymod dros y bobl.
47And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48 Safodd rhwng y meirw a'r byw, ac fe beidiodd y pla.
48And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
49 Bu farw pedair mil ar ddeg a saith gant trwy'r pla, heblaw'r rhai a fu farw o achos Cora.
49Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
50 Yna, wedi i'r pla beidio, aeth Aaron yn l at Moses yn nrws pabell y cyfarfod.
50And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
