1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 "Yr wyt i ddial ar y Midianiaid ar ran pobl Israel; yna fe'th gesglir at dy bobl."
2Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 A dywedodd Moses wrth y bobl, "Arfogwch ddynion o'ch plith iddynt ryfela yn erbyn Midian, a dial arni ar ran yr ARGLWYDD.
3And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.
4 Anfonwch fil o bob un o lwythau Israel i'r rhyfel."
4Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5 Felly, o blith tylwythau Israel, penodwyd mil o bob llwyth, deuddeng mil i gyd, wedi eu harfogi ar gyfer rhyfel.
5So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 Anfonodd Moses hwy i'r frwydr, mil o bob llwyth, ynghyd Phinees fab Eleasar yr offeiriad, i gludo llestri'r cysegr a'r trwmpedau i seinio rhybudd.
6And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
7 Aethant i ryfela yn erbyn Midian, gan ladd pob gwryw, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
7And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
8 Ymhlith y rhai a laddwyd yr oedd pum brenin Midian, sef Efi, Recem, Sur, Hur a Reba; lladdasant hefyd Balaam fab Beor 'r cleddyf.
8And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 Cymerodd yr Israeliaid wragedd Midian a'u plant yn garcharorion, a dwyn yn ysbail eu holl wartheg a'u defaid a'u heiddo i gyd.
9And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.
10 Llosgwyd yr holl ddinasoedd y buont yn byw ynddynt, a'u holl wersylloedd,
10And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
11 a chymerwyd y cyfan o'r ysbail a'r anrhaith, yn ddyn ac anifail.
11And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
12 Yna daethant 'r carcharorion, yr ysbail a'r anrhaith at Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad, ac at gynulliad pobl Israel oedd yn gwersyllu yng ngwastadedd Moab, gyferbyn Jericho ger yr Iorddonen.
12And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
13 Aeth Moses, Eleasar yr offeiriad, a holl arweinwyr y cynulliad i'w cyfarfod y tu allan i'r gwersyll.
13And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14 Ond digiodd Moses wrth swyddogion y fyddin, sef capteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, a oedd wedi dychwelyd ar l brwydro yn y rhyfel,
14And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15 a dywedodd wrthynt, "A ydych wedi arbed yr holl ferched?
15And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Dyma'r rhai, ar orchymyn Balaam, a wnaeth i bobl Israel fod yn anffyddlon i'r ARGLWYDD yn yr achos ynglu375?n Peor, pan ddaeth pla i ganol cynulliad yr ARGLWYDD.
16Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
17 Yn awr, lladdwch bob bachgen ifanc, a phob merch sydd wedi cael cyfathrach rywiol gyda dyn,
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 ond arbedwch i chwi eich hunain bob geneth ifanc nad yw wedi bod gyda dyn.
18But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19 Y mae pob un ohonoch sydd wedi lladd rhywun, neu wedi cyffwrdd chorff rhywun a laddwyd, i aros y tu allan i'r gwersyll am saith diwrnod; ar y trydydd a'r seithfed dydd yr ydych i'ch glanhau eich hunain a'r carcharorion sydd gyda chwi.
19And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
20 Yr ydych hefyd i lanhau pob gwisg, a phopeth a wnaed o groen neu o flew gafr, a phob offer pren."
20And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
21 Dywedodd Eleasar yr offeiriad wrth y rhyfelwyr oedd wedi mynd i'r frwydr, "Dyma'r rheol yn l y gyfraith a orchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses:
21And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
22 dim ond aur, arian, pres, haearn, alcam a phlwm,
22Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 sef popeth sy'n gallu gwrthsefyll tn, sydd i'w dynnu trwy dn er mwyn ei buro, a'i lanhau du373?r puredigaeth; y mae popeth na all wrthsefyll tn i'w dynnu trwy'r du373?r yn unig.
23Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
24 Golchwch eich dillad ar y seithfed dydd, a byddwch ln; yna cewch ddod i mewn i'r gwersyll."
24And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
25 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
25And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 "Yr wyt ti, Eleasar yr offeiriad, a phennau-teuluoedd y cynulliad, i gyfrif yr ysbail a gymerwyd, yn ddyn ac anifail,
26Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:
27 a'i rannu'n ddau rhwng y rhyfelwyr a aeth i'r frwydr a'r holl gynulliad.
27And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:
28 Oddi wrth y rhyfelwyr a aeth i'r frwydr, cymer yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD un o bob pum cant, boed o ddynion, eidionau, asynnod, neu ddefaid.
28And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
29 Cymerwch hyn o'u hanner hwy, a'i roi i Eleasar yr offeiriad fel offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD.
29Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.
30 Yna, o'r hanner sy'n eiddo i bobl Israel, cymer un o bob hanner cant, boed o ddynion, eidionau, asynnod, defaid neu anifeiliaid eraill, a'u rhoi i'r Lefiaid sy'n gofalu am dabernacl yr ARGLWYDD."
30And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
31 Gwnaeth Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
31And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
32 Dyma'r ysbail oedd yn weddill o'r hyn a gymerodd y rhyfelwyr: chwe chant saith deg pump o filoedd o ddefaid,
32And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
33 saith deg dwy o filoedd o eidionau,
33And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,
34 chwe deg un o filoedd o asynnod,
34And threescore and one thousand asses,
35 a thri deg dwy o filoedd o bobl, sef pob merch nad oedd wedi cael cyfathrach rywiol dyn.
35And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.
36 Yr oedd cyfran y rhyfelwyr yn cynnwys tri chant tri deg saith o filoedd a phum cant o ddefaid,
36And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:
37 ac yr oedd chwe chant saith deg a phump o'r defaid yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
37And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.
38 yr oedd tri deg chwech o filoedd o eidionau, a saith deg a dau ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
38And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.
39 yr oedd tri deg o filoedd a phum cant o asynnod, a chwe deg ac un ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
39And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.
40 yr oedd un fil ar bymtheg o bobl, a thri deg a dau ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD.
40And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.
41 Rhoddodd Moses y dreth, sef yr offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD, i Eleasar yr offeiriad, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
41And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
42 Yr oedd y rhan nad oedd yn eiddo i'r rhyfelwyr (sef yr hanner a rannodd Moses i'r Israeliaid,
42And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,
43 yn eiddo i'r cynulliad), yn cynnwys tri chant tri deg saith o filoedd a phum cant o ddefaid,
43(Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,
44 tri deg chwech o filoedd o eidionau,
44And thirty and six thousand beeves,
45 tri deg o filoedd a phum cant o asynnod,
45And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,
46 ac un fil ar bymtheg o bobl.
46And sixteen thousand persons;)
47 O gyfran yr Israeliaid, cymerodd Moses un o bob hanner cant o ddynion ac o anifeiliaid, a'u rhoi i'r Lefiaid oedd yn gofalu am dabernacl yr ARGLWYDD, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
47Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
48 Yna daeth y rhai oedd yn swyddogion dros filoedd y fyddin, sef capteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, at Moses
48And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
49 a dweud wrtho, "Y mae dy weision wedi cyfrif y rhyfelwyr a roddaist dan ein hawdurdod, a chael nad ydym wedi colli'r un ohonynt.
49And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
50 Cyflwynodd pob un ohonom yr hyn a gafodd, addurniadau aur, cadwynau, breichledau, modrwyau, clustlysau, a thorchau, yn offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD, er mwyn gwneud cymod drosom ein hunain gerbron yr ARGLWYDD."
50We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
51 Yna cymerodd Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad yr aur a'r holl addurniadau cywrain oddi wrthynt.
51And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.
52 Yr oedd yr holl aur a offrymwyd i'r ARGLWYDD gan gapteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd yn pwyso un deg chwech o filoedd saith gant a phum deg o siclau,
52And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
53 gan fod pob un o'r rhyfelwyr wedi cymryd rhywfaint o'r ysbail.
53(For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)
54 Cymerodd Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad yr aur oddi wrth gapteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, a daethant ag ef i babell y cyfarfod, yn goffadwriaeth i bobl Israel gerbron yr ARGLWYDD.
54And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
