¹ Bydded i bob un ein cyfrif ni fel gweision Crist a goruchwylwyr dirgelion Duw.

¹Let a man so reckon us as officers of Christ, and stewards of the secrets of God,

² Yn awr, yr hyn a ddisgwylir mewn goruchwylwyr yw eu cael yn ffyddlon.

²and as to the rest, it is required in the stewards that one may be found faithful,

³ O'm rhan fy hun, peth bach iawn yw cael fy ngosod ar brawf gennych chwi, neu gan unrhyw lys dynol. Yn wir, nid wyf yn eistedd mewn barn arnaf fy hun.

³and to me it is for a very little thing that by you I may be judged, or by man`s day, but not even myself do I judge,

⁴ Nid oes gennyf ddim ar fy nghydwybod, ond nid wyf drwy hynny wedi fy nghael yn ddieuog. Yr Arglwydd yw fy marnwr i.

⁴for of nothing to myself have I been conscious, but not in this have I been declared right — and he who is discerning me is the Lord:

⁵ Felly peidiwch � barnu dim cyn yr amser, nes i'r Arglwydd ddod; bydd ef yn goleuo pethau cudd y tywyllwch ac yn gwneud bwriadau'r galon yn amlwg. Ac yna caiff pob un ei glod gan Dduw.

⁵so, then, nothing before the time judge ye, till the Lord may come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of the darkness, and will manifest the counsels of the hearts, and then the praise shall come to each from God.

⁶ Yr wyf wedi cymhwyso'r pethau hyn, gyfeillion, ataf fi fy hun ac at Apolos er eich mwyn chwi, ichwi ddysgu, drwom ni, "gadw o fewn yr hyn a ysgrifennwyd", rhag i neb ohonoch ymchwyddo wrth bleidio un a gwrthod y llall.

⁶And these things, brethren, I did transfer to myself and to Apollos because of you, that in us ye may learn not to think above that which hath been written, that ye may not be puffed up one for one against the other,

⁷ Pwy sy'n rhoi rhagoriaeth i ti? Beth sydd gennyt, nad wyt wedi ei dderbyn? Ac os ei dderbyn a wnaethost, pam yr wyt yn ymffrostio fel pe bait heb dderbyn?

⁷for who doth make thee to differ? and what hast thou, that thou didst not receive? and if thou didst also receive, why dost thou glory as not having received?

⁸ Dyma chwi eisoes wedi cael eich gwala; eisoes wedi dod yn gyfoethog; wedi etifeddu eich teyrnas, a hynny hebom ni! Gwyn fyd na fyddech wedi etifeddu eich teyrnas mewn gwirionedd, er mwyn i ninnau hefyd gael teyrnasu gyda chwi!

⁸Already ye are having been filled, already ye were rich, apart from us ye did reign, and I would also ye did reign, that we also with you may reign together,

⁹ Oherwydd yr wyf yn tybio bod Duw wedi rhoi i ni'r apostolion y lle olaf, fel rhai wedi eu condemnio i farw yn yr arena, gan ein bod wedi dod yn sioe i'r cyfanfyd, i angylion ac i feidrolion.

⁹for I think that God did set forth us the apostles last — as appointed to death, because a spectacle we became to the world, and messengers, and men;

¹⁰ Ni yn ffyliaid er mwyn Crist, chwithau'n rhai call yng Nghrist! Ni yn wan, chwithau'n gryf! Chwi'n llawn anrhydedd, ninnau heb ddim parch!

¹⁰we [are] fools because of Christ, and ye wise in Christ; we [are] ailing, and ye strong; ye glorious, and we dishonoured;

¹¹ Hyd yr awr hon y mae arnom newyn a syched, yr ydym yn noeth, yn cael ein cernodio, yn ddigartref,

¹¹unto the present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and wander about,

¹² yn blino gan lafur ein dwylo ein hunain. Ein hateb i'r difenwi sydd arnom yw bendithio; i'r erlid, goddef;

¹²and labour, working with [our] own hands; being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer;

¹³ i'r enllib, geiriau caredig. Fe'n gwnaethpwyd yn garthion y byd, yn olchion pawb, hyd yn awr.

¹³being spoken evil of, we entreat; as filth of the world we did become — of all things an offscouring — till now.

¹⁴ Nid i godi cywilydd arnoch yr wyf yn ysgrifennu hyn, ond i'ch rhybuddio, fel plant annwyl i mi.

¹⁴Not [as] putting you to shame do I write these things, but as my beloved children I do admonish,

¹⁵ Pe byddai gennych ddeng mil o hyfforddwyr yng Nghrist, eto ni fyddai gennych fwy nag un tad, oherwydd yng Nghrist Iesu myfi a ddeuthum yn dad i chwi drwy'r Efengyl.

¹⁵for if a myriad of child-conductors ye may have in Christ, yet not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus, through the good news, I — I did beget you;

¹⁶ Am hynny yr wyf yn erfyn arnoch, byddwch efelychwyr ohonof fi.

¹⁶I call upon you, therefore, become ye followers of me;

¹⁷ Dyma pam yr anfonais Timotheus atoch; y mae ef yn fab annwyl i mi, ac yn ffyddlon yn yr Arglwydd, a bydd yn dwyn ar gof i chwi fy ffyrdd i yng Nghrist Iesu, fel y byddaf yn eu dysgu ym mhobman, ym mhob eglwys.

¹⁷because of this I sent to you Timotheus, who is my child, beloved and faithful in the Lord, who shall remind you of my ways in Christ, according as everywhere in every assembly I teach.

¹⁸ Y mae rhai wedi ymchwyddo, fel pe na bawn i am ddod atoch.

¹⁸And as if I were not coming unto you certain were puffed up;

¹⁹ Ond yr wyf am ddod atoch ar fyrder, os caniat�'r Arglwydd, a chaf wybod, nid am siarad y rhai sydd wedi ymchwyddo, ond am eu gallu.

¹⁹but I will come quickly unto you, if the Lord may will, and I will know not the word of those puffed up, but the power;

²⁰ Oherwydd nid mewn siarad y mae teyrnas Dduw, ond mewn gallu.

²⁰for not in word is the reign of God, but in power?

²¹ Beth yw eich dewis? Ai � gwialen yr wyf i ddod atoch, ynteu � chariad, ac ysbryd addfwynder?

²¹what do ye wish? with a rod shall I come unto you, or in love, with a spirit also of meekness?
