1 Y mae'r Ysbryd yn dweud yn eglur y bydd rhai mewn amserau diweddarach yn cefnu ar y ffydd. Byddant yn troi at ysbrydion twyllodrus ac at bethau y mae cythreuliaid yn eu dysgu trwy ragrith pobl gelwyddog.
1And the Spirit expressly speaketh, that in latter times shall certain fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
2 Pobl yw'r rhain �'u cydwybod wedi ei serio,
2in hypocrisy speaking lies, being seared in their own conscience,
3 yn gwahardd priodi, ac yn mynnu fod pobl yn ymwrthod � bwydydd � bwydydd y mae Duw wedi eu creu i'w derbyn � diolch gan y credinwyr sydd wedi canfod y gwirionedd.
3forbidding to marry — to abstain from meats that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those believing and acknowledging the truth,
4 Oherwydd y mae pob peth a greodd Duw yn dda, ac ni ddylid gwrthod dim yr ydym yn ei dderbyn � diolch iddo ef,
4because every creature of God [is] good, and nothing [is] to be rejected, with thanksgiving being received,
5 oherwydd y mae'n cael ei sancteiddio trwy air Duw a gweddi.
5for it is sanctified through the word of God and intercession.
6 Os dygi di'r pethau hyn i sylw'r gynulleidfa, byddi'n was da i Grist Iesu, yn dy feithrin dy hun � geiriau'r ffydd, a'r athrawiaeth dda yr wyt wedi ei dilyn.
6These things placing before the brethren, thou shalt be a good ministrant of Jesus Christ, being nourished by the words of the faith, and of the good teaching, which thou didst follow after,
7 Paid � gwrando ar chwedlau bydol hen wrachod, ond ymarfer dy hun i fod yn dduwiol.
7and the profane and old women`s fables reject thou, and exercise thyself unto piety,
8 Wrth gwrs, y mae i ymarfer y corff beth gwerth, ond i ymarfer duwioldeb y mae pob gwerth, gan fod ynddo addewid o fywyd yn y byd hwn a'r byd a ddaw.
8for the bodily exercise is unto little profit, and the piety is to all things profitable, a promise having of the life that now is, and of that which is coming;
9 Dyna air i'w gredu, sy'n teilyngu derbyniad llwyr.
9stedfast [is] the word, and of all acceptation worthy;
10 I'r diben hwn yr ydym yn llafurio ac yn ymdrechu, oherwydd rhoesom ein gobaith yn y Duw byw, sy'n Waredwr i bawb, ond i'r credinwyr yn fwy na neb.
10for for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of all men — especially of those believing.
11 Gorchymyn y pethau hyn i'th bobl, a dysg hwy iddynt.
11Charge these things, and teach;
12 Paid � gadael i neb dy ddiystyru am dy fod yn ifanc. Yn hytrach, bydd di'n batrwm i'r credinwyr mewn gair a gweithred, mewn cariad a ffydd a phurdeb.
12let no one despise thy youth, but a pattern become thou of those believing in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity;
13 Hyd nes imi ddod, rhaid i ti ymroi i'r darlleniadau a'r pregethu a'r hyfforddi.
13till I come, give heed to the reading, to the exhortation, to the teaching;
14 Paid ag esgeuluso'r ddawn sydd ynot ac a roddwyd iti trwy eiriau proffwydol ac arddodiad dwylo'r henuriaid.
14be not careless of the gift in thee, that was given thee through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the eldership;
15 Gofala am y pethau hyn, ymdafla iddynt, a bydd dy gynnydd yn amlwg i bawb.
15of these things be careful; in these things be, that thy advancement may be manifest in all things;
16 Cadw lygad arnat ti dy hun ac ar yr hyfforddiant a roddi, a dal ati yn y pethau hyn. Os gwnei di felly, yna fe fyddi'n dy achub dy hun a'r rhai sy'n gwrando arnat.
16take heed to thyself, and to the teaching; remain in them, for this thing doing, both thyself thou shalt save, and those hearing thee.
