2 Chronicles

35

1 Cadwodd Joseia Basg i'r ARGLWYDD yn Jerwsalem; lladdasant oen y Pasg ar y pedwerydd dydd ar ddeg o'r mis cyntaf.
1And Josiah maketh in Jerusalem a passover to Jehovah, and they slaughter the passover-offering on the fourteenth of the first month,
2 Gosododd yr offeiriaid ar ddyletswydd, a'u hannog i wasanaethu yn nhu375? yr ARGLWYDD.
2and he stationeth the priests over their charges, and strengtheneth them for the service of the house of Jehovah,
3 Dywedodd wrth y Lefiaid oedd yn sanctaidd i'r ARGLWYDD ac yn dysgu holl Israel, "Rhowch yr arch sanctaidd yn y tu375? a adeiladodd Solomon fab Dafydd, brenin Israel; nid ydych i'w chario ar eich ysgwyddau. Yn awr, gwasanaethwch yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw a'i bobl Israel.
3and saith to the Levites -- who are teaching all Israel -- who are sanctified to Jehovah, `Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon son of David king of Israel built; it is not to you a burden on the shoulder. `Now, serve Jehovah your God, and His people Israel,
4 Paratowch eich hunain fesul teulu yn l eich dosbarthiadau, fel yr ysgrifennodd Dafydd brenin Israel a'i fab Solomon.
4and prepare, by the house of your fathers, according to your courses, by the writing of David king of Israel, and by the writing of Solomon his son,
5 Safwch yn y cysegr dros eich pobl leyg fesul teulu yn l eich dosbarthiadau; y mae gan y Lefiaid gyfran ym mhob teulu.
5and stand in the sanctuary, by the divisions of the house of the fathers of your brethren, sons of the people, and the portion of the house of a father of the Levites,
6 Lladdwch oen y Pasg; ymgysegrwch a pharatoi, er mwyn i'ch pobl wneud yn l gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy Moses."
6and slaughter the passover-offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brethren, to do according to the word of Jehovah by the hand of Moses.'
7 Rhoddodd Joseia i'r holl bobl oedd yn bresennol ddeng mil ar hugain o ddefaid, sef u373?yn a mynnod, a thair mil o ychen ar gyfer y Pasg; daeth y cwbl o'r drysorfa frenhinol.
7And Josiah lifteth up to the sons of the people a flock of lambs and young goats, the whole for passover-offerings, for every one who is found, to the number of thirty thousand, and oxen three thousand: these [are] from the substance of the king.
8 Hefyd, rhoddodd ei swyddogion o'u gwirfodd i'r bobl, a'r offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid. Rhoddodd Hilceia, Sechareia a Jehiel, prif swyddogion tu375? Dduw, ddwy fil a chwe chant o ddefaid a thri chant o ychen i'r offeiriaid ar gyfer y Pasg.
8And his heads, for a willing-offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites, have lifted up; Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Jehiel, leaders in the house of God, to the priests have given for passover-offerings two thousand and six hundred, and oxen three hundred;
9 A rhoddodd Cononeia a'i frodyr Semaia a Nethaneel, a Hasabeia, Jehiel a Josabad, swyddogion y Lefiaid, bum mil o ddefaid a phum cant o ychen ar gyfer y Pasg.
9and Conaniah, and Shemaiah, and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah, and Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, have lifted up to the Levites, for passover-offerings, five thousand, and oxen five hundred.
10 Felly paratowyd y gwasanaeth, a safodd yr offeiriaid yn eu lle a'r Lefiaid yn eu dosbarthiadau, yn l gorchymyn y brenin.
10And the service is prepared, and the priests stand on their station, and the Levites on their courses, according to the command of the king,
11 Lladdasant oen y Pasg, a lluchiodd yr offeiriaid beth o'r gwaed ar yr allor tra oedd y Lefiaid yn blingo'r anifeiliaid.
11and they slaughter the passover-offering, and the priests sprinkle out of their hand, and the Levites are striping;
12 Yna aethant 'r poethoffrymau ymaith i'w dosbarthu yn l rhaniadau teuluoedd y bobl, er mwyn iddynt offrymu i'r ARGLWYDD fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig yn llyfr Moses; felly hefyd y gwnaethant 'r ychen.
12and they turn aside the burnt-offering, to put them by the divisions of the house of the fathers of the sons of the people, to bring near to Jehovah, as it is written in the book of Moses -- and so to the oxen.
13 Rhostiwyd oen y Pasg ar y tn, yn l y ddefod, a berwi'r pethau cysegredig mewn crochanau, peiriau a phedyll, a'u rhannu ar frys i'r holl bobl.
13And they cook the passover with fire, according to the ordinance, and the sanctified things they have cooked in pots, and in kettles, and in pans -- for all the sons of the people.
14 Yna paratoesant ar eu cyfer eu hunain ac ar gyfer yr offeiriaid, oherwydd yr oedd yr offeiriaid, meibion Aaron, wedi bod yn aberthu'r poethoffrwm a'r offrymau o fraster hyd yr hwyr. Fel hyn y paratdd y Lefiaid ar eu cyfer eu hunain a'r offeiriaid, meibion Aaron.
14And afterward they have prepared for themselves, and for the priests: for the priests, sons of Aaron, [are] in the offering up of the burnt-offering and of the fat till night; and the Levites have prepared for themselves, and for the priests, sons of Aaron.
15 Yr oedd y cantorion, meibion Asaff, yn eu lle yn l gorchymyn Dafydd: Asaff, Heman a Jeduthun, gweledydd y brenin; ac yr oedd pob un o'r porthorion wrth ei borth. Nid oedd raid iddynt adael eu gwaith, oherwydd yr oedd eu brodyr y Lefiaid yn paratoi ar eu cyfer.
15And the singers, sons of Asaph, [are] on their station, according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun seer of the king, and the gate keepers [are] at gate and gate; it is not for them to turn aside from off their service, for their brethren the Levites have prepared for them.
16 Fel hyn y paratowyd holl wasanaeth yr ARGLWYDD y diwrnod hwnnw, er mwyn cadw'r Pasg ac offrymu poethoffrymau ar allor yr ARGLWYDD yn l gorchymyn y Brenin Joseia.
16And all the service of Jehovah is prepared on that day, to keep the passover, and to cause to ascend burnt-offering upon the altar of Jehovah, according to the command of king Josiah.
17 Yr adeg honno cadwodd yr Israeliaid oedd yn bresennol y Pasg a gu373?yl y Bara Croyw am saith diwrnod.
17And the sons of Israel who are found make the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened things, seven days.
18And there hath not been made a passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, and none of the kings of Israel made such a passover as Josiah hath made, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who are found, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19 Yn y ddeunawfed flwyddyn o deyrnasiad Joseia y cadwyd y Pasg hwn.
19In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah hath this passover been made.
20 Ar l hyn oll, pan oedd Joseia wedi paratoi'r deml, daeth Necho brenin yr Aifft i fyny i ymladd yn Carchemis ar lan afon Ewffrates, ac aeth Joseia allan i'w gyfarfod.
20After all this, when Josiah hath prepared the house, come up hath Necho king of Egypt, to fight against Carchemish by Phrat, and Josiah goeth forth to meet him;
21 Ond anfonodd Necho negeswyr ato i ddweud, "Beth sydd a wnelwyf fi thi, brenin Jwda? Nid yn dy erbyn di yr wyf fi wedi dod yma heddiw, ond i ymladd yn erbyn teyrnas arall. Dywedodd Duw wrthyf am frysio, a phaid ti rhwystro'r Duw sydd gyda mi, rhag iddo dy ddifa."
21and he sendeth unto him messengers, saying, `What -- to me and to thee, O king of Judah? not against thee do I come to-day, but unto the house with which I have war, and God said to haste me; cease for thee from God who [is] with me, and He doth not destroy thee.'
22 Ond ni throdd Joseia oddi wrtho, oherwydd yr oedd yn benderfynol o ymladd ag ef; gwrthododd wrando ar eiriau Necho, a ddaeth oddi wrth Dduw, ac aeth i ymladd yn nyffryn Megido.
22And Josiah hath not turned round his face from him, but to fight against him hath disguised himself, and hath not hearkened unto the words of Necho, from the mouth of God, and cometh in to fight in the valley of Megiddo;
23 Saethwyd y Brenin Joseia gan y saethyddion, a dywedodd wrth ei weision, "Ewch mi ymaith, oherwydd cefais fy nghlwyfo'n ddrwg."
23and the archers shoot at king Josiah, and the king saith to his servants, `Remove me, for I have become very sick.'
24 Tynnodd ei weision ef allan o'r cerbyd, a'i roi yn ei ail gerbyd a mynd ag ef i Jerwsalem. Bu farw yno ac fe'i claddwyd ym meddrod ei hynafiaid, a galarodd holl Jwda a Jerwsalem amdano.
24And his servants remove him from the chariot, and cause him to ride on the second chariot that he hath, and cause him to go to Jerusalem, and he dieth, and is buried in the graves of his fathers, and all Judah and Jerusalem are mourning for Josiah,
25 Gwnaeth Jeremeia alarnad am Joseia, a hyd heddiw y mae pob canwr a chantores yn sn amdano yn eu galarnadau. Y mae caniadau o'r fath yn ddefod yn Israel, ac y maent wedi eu hysgrifennu yn y Galarnadau.
25and Jeremiah lamenteth for Josiah, and all the singers and the songstresses speak in their lamentations of Josiah unto this day, and set them for a statute on Israel, and lo, they are written beside the lamentations.
26 Am weddill hanes Joseia, ei ddaioni yn gwneud yn l yr hyn a ysgrifennwyd yng nghyfraith yr ARGLWYDD,
26And the rest of the matters of Josiah, and his kind acts, according as it is written in the law of Jehovah,
27 a'i weithredoedd o'r dechrau i'r diwedd, y maent wedi eu hysgrifennu yn llyfr brenhinoedd Israel a Jwda.
27even his matters, the first and the last, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
