1 Galwodd y proffwyd Eliseus ar un o'r proffwydi a dweud wrtho, "Clyma dy wisg am dy ganol, cymer y ffiol olew hon yn dy law a dos i Ramoth-gilead.
1And Elisha the prophet hath called to one of the sons of the prophets, and saith to him, `Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-Gilead,
2 Wedi iti gyrraedd, edrych yno am Jehu fab Jehosaffat, fab Nimsi;
2and thou hast gone in there, and see thou there Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, and thou hast gone in, and caused him to rise out of the midst of his brethren, and brought him in to the inner part of an inner-chamber,
3 yna dos a chymer ef allan o blith ei gymrodyr a mynd ag ef i ystafell fewnol, a chymryd y ffiol olew a'i harllwys ar ei ben a dweud, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Rwy'n dy eneinio'n frenin ar Israel.' Yna agor y drws a ffo heb oedi."
3and taken the vial of oil, and poured on his head, and said, Thus said Jehovah, I have anointed thee for king unto Israel; and thou hast opened the door, and fled, and dost not wait.`
4 Aeth y llanc o broffwyd i Ramoth-gilead.
4And the young man goeth — the young man the prophet — to Ramoth-Gilead,
5 A phan gyrhaeddodd, yr oedd swyddogion y fyddin yn eistedd gyda'i gilydd, a dywedodd, "Y mae gennyf neges i ti, syr." Gofynnodd Jehu, "I ba un ohonom?" "I ti, syr," meddai yntau.
5and cometh in, and lo, chiefs of the force are sitting, and he saith, `I have a word unto thee, O chief!` and Jehu saith, `Unto which of all of us?` and he saith, `Unto thee, O chief.`
6 Cododd a mynd i mewn; yna tywalltodd y llanc yr olew ar ben Jehu, a dweud wrtho, "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel: Rwy'n dy eneinio'n frenin ar Israel, pobl yr ARGLWYDD.
6And he riseth and cometh in to the house, and he poureth the oil on his head, and saith to him, `Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I have anointed thee for king unto the people of Jehovah, unto Israel,
7 Taro du375? Ahab, dy feistr, fel y caf ddial ar Jesebel am waed fy ngweision y proffwydi, a holl weision yr ARGLWYDD.
7and thou hast smitten the house of Ahab thy lord, and I have required the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Jehovah, from the hand of Jezebel;
8 Difethir holl du375? Ahab, a distrywiaf bob gwryw sydd gan Ahab yn Israel, caeth neu rydd.
8and perished hath all the house of Ahab, and I have cut off to Ahab those sitting on the wall, and restrained, and left, in Israel,
9 A gwnaf du375? Ahab fel tu375? Jeroboam fab Nebat a thu375? Baasa fab Aheia.
9and I have given up the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and as the house of Baasha son of Ahijah,
10 Ac am Jesebel, bydd y cu373?n yn ei bwyta yn rhandir Jesreel, heb neb i'w chladdu." Yna fe agorodd y drws a ffoi.
10and Jezebel do the dogs eat in the portion of Jezreel, and there is none burying;` and he openeth the door and fleeth.
11 Pan ddaeth Jehu allan at weision eraill ei feistr, holodd un, "A yw popeth yn iawn? Pam y daeth yr ynfyd yna atat?" Atebodd yntau, "Gwyddoch am y dyn a'i siarad."
11And Jehu hath gone out unto the servants of his lord, and [one] saith to him, `Is there peace? wherefore came this madman unto thee?` and he saith unto them, `Ye have known the man and his talk.`
12 "Paid 'th gelwydd," meddent, "da thi, dywed wrthym." Ac atebodd, "Dyma'r hyn a ddywedodd wrthyf: 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Rwy'n dy eneinio'n frenin ar Israel.'"
12And they say, `False, declare, we pray thee, to us;` and he saith, `Thus and thus spake he unto me, saying, Thus said Jehovah, I have anointed thee for king unto Israel.`
13 Yna cipiodd pob un ddilledyn a'i roi dano ar ben y grisiau, a chwythu utgorn a dweud, "Jehu sydd frenin!"
13And they haste and take each his garment, and put [it] under him at the top of the stairs, and blow with a trumpet, and say, `Reigned hath Jehu!`
14 A gwnaeth Jehu fab Jehosaffat, fab Nimsi gynllwyn yn erbyn Joram. Yr oedd Joram a holl Israel ar wyliadwriaeth yn Ramoth-gilead rhag Hasael brenin Syria;
14And Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspireth against Joram — (and Joram was keeping in Ramoth-Gilead, he and all Israel, from the presence of Hazael king of Aram,
15 ond yr oedd Joram wedi dychwelyd adref i Jesreel i wella o'r clwyfau a gafodd gan y Syriaid wrth ymladd Hasael brenin Syria. A dywedodd Jehu, "Os dyma'ch teimlad, peidiwch gadael i neb ddianc o'r ddinas i yngan gair yn Jesreel."
15and king Joram turneth back to be healed in Jezreel, of the wounds with which the Aramaeans smite him, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram) — and Jehu saith, `If it is your mind, let not an escaped one go out from the city, to go to declare [it] in Jezreel.`
16 Aeth Jehu yn ei gerbyd am Jesreel, gan fod Joram yn orweiddiog yno. Ac yr oedd Ahaseia brenin Jwda wedi dod i edrych am Joram.
16And Jehu rideth, and goeth to Jezreel, for Joram is lying there, and Ahaziah king of Judah hath gone down to see Joram.
17 Yr oedd gwyliwr yn sefyll ar du373?r yn Jesreel, a gwelodd fintai Jehu yn dod, a dywedodd, "Rwy'n gweld mintai." Dywedodd Joram, "Dewis farchog, a'i anfon i'w cyfarfod, i ofyn a yw popeth yn iawn."
17And the watchman is standing on the tower in Jezreel, and seeth the company of Jehu in his coming, and saith, `A company I see;` and Joram saith, `Take a rider and send to meet them, and let him say, Is there peace?`
18 Yna fe aeth marchog i'w cyfarfod a dweud, "Fel hyn y mae'r brenin yn gofyn; 'A yw popeth yn iawn?'" Ac meddai Jehu, "Pa wahaniaeth i ti a yw popeth yn iawn? Tyrd i'm canlyn." Cyhoeddodd y gwyliwr, "Y mae'r negesydd wedi cyrraedd atynt, ond nid yw'n dod yn l."
18and the rider on the horse goeth to meet him, and saith, `Thus said the king, Is there peace?` and Jehu saith, `What — to thee and to peace? turn round behind me.` And the watchman declareth, saying, `The messenger came unto them, and he hath not returned.`
19 Yna anfonwyd ail farchog, a phan gyrhaeddodd atynt, dywedodd, "Fel hyn y dywed y brenin; 'A yw popeth yn iawn?" Atebodd Jehu, "Pa wahaniaeth i ti a yw popeth yn iawn? Tyrd i'm canlyn."
19And he sendeth a second rider on a horse, and he cometh in unto them, and saith, `Thus said the king, Is there peace?` and Jehu saith, `What — to thee and to peace? turn round behind me.`
20 A chyhoeddodd y gwyliwr, "Y mae wedi cyrraedd atynt, ond nid yw'n dod yn l; ac y mae'r gyrru fel gyrru Jehu fab Nimsi, oherwydd y mae'n gyrru'n ynfyd."
20And the watchman declareth, saying, `He came unto them, and he hath not returned, and the driving [is] like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi, for with madness he driveth.`
21 Dywedodd Joram, "Cyplwch fy ngherbyd." Ac wedi iddynt ei gyplu, aeth Joram brenin Israel ac Ahaseia brenin Jwda allan bob un yn ei gerbyd, i gyfarfod Jehu; a chawsant ef yn rhandir Naboth y Jesreeliad.
21And Jehoram saith, `Harness;` and his chariot is harnessed, and Jehoram king of Israel goeth out, and Ahaziah king of Judah, each in his chariot, and they go out to meet Jehu, and find him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.
22 Pan welodd Joram Jehu gofynnodd, "A yw popeth yn iawn, Jehu?" Atebodd yntau, "Sut y gall fod yn iawn tra bo cymaint o buteindra a hudoliaeth dy fam Jesebel yn aros?"
22And it cometh to pass, at Jehoram`s seeing Jehu, that he saith, `Is there peace, Jehu?` and he saith, `What [is] the peace, while the whoredoms of Jezebel thy mother, and her witchcrafts, are many?`
23 Yna troes Joram ei gerbyd yn l a ffoi, a gweiddi ar Ahaseia, "Brad, Ahaseia!"
23And Jehoram turneth his hands, and fleeth, and saith unto Ahaziah, `Deceit, O Ahaziah!`
24 Cydiodd Jehu yn ei fwa a saethu Joram rhwng ei ysgwyddau nes i'r saeth fynd trwy ei galon, a syrthiodd i'r cerbyd.
24And Jehu hath filled his hand with a bow, and smiteth Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow goeth out from his heart, and he boweth down in his chariot.
25 Dywedodd Jehu wrth Bidcar ei is-gapten, "Gafael ynddo a bwrw ef i randir Naboth y Jesreeliad; oblegid rwyf fi a thithau'n cofio, pan oeddem yn cydyrru cerbyd ar l ei dad Ahab, fod yr ARGLWYDD wedi cyhoeddi'r oracl hwn yn ei erbyn:
25And [Jehu] saith unto Bidkar his captain, `Lift up, cast him into the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite — for, remember, I and thou were riding together after Ahab his father, and Jehovah lifted upon him this burden:
26 'Cyn wired ag y gwelais waed Naboth a'i feibion ddoe, medd yr ARGLWYDD, fe dalaf yn l i ti yn y rhandir hwn, medd yr ARGLWYDD'; felly, gafael ynddo a bwrw ef allan i'r rhandir, yn l gair yr ARGLWYDD."
26Have I not the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons seen yesternight — the affirmation of Jehovah — yea, I have recompensed to thee in this portion — the affirmation of Jehovah; — and now, lift up, cast him into the portion, according to the word of Jehovah.`
27 Pan welodd Ahaseia brenin Jwda hyn, ffodd i gyfeiriad Beth-haggan, a Jehu yn erlyn ar ei l ac yn dweud, "Tarwch yntau hefyd." A thrawsant ef yn ei gerbyd wrth allt Gur ger Ibleam, ond ffodd i Megido a marw yno.
27And Ahaziah king of Judah hath seen, and fleeth the way of the garden-house, and Jehu pursueth after him, and saith, `Smite him — also him — in the chariot,` in the going up to Gur, that [is] Ibleam, and he fleeth to Megiddo, and dieth there,
28 Yna cludodd ei weision ef i Jerwsalem, a'i gladdu yn ei feddrod gyda'i ragflaenwyr yn Ninas Dafydd.
28and his servants carry him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and bury him in his burying-place, with his fathers, in the city of David.
29 Yn yr unfed flwyddyn ar ddeg i Joram fab Ahab y daeth Ahaseia yn frenin ar Jwda.
29And in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab reign did Ahaziah over Judah.
30 Daeth Jehu i Jesreel. Pan glywodd Jesebel, colurodd ei hwyneb ac addurno ei phen, ac edrychodd allan trwy'r ffenestr.
30And Jehu cometh in to Jezreel, and Jezebel hath heard, and putteth her eyes in paint and maketh right her head, and looketh out through the window.
31 Fel yr oedd Jehu yn cyrraedd y porth, dywedodd wrtho, "A fydd heddwch, Simri, llofrudd ei feistr?"
31And Jehu hath come into the gate, and she saith, `Was there peace [to] Zimri — slayer of his lord?`
32 Cododd yntau ei olwg at y ffenestr a gofyn, "Pwy sydd o'm plaid? Pwy?" Edrychodd dau neu dri o'r gweision allan, ac meddai Jehu, "Taflwch hi i lawr."
32And he lifteth up his face unto the window, and saith, `Who [is] with me? — who?` and look out unto him do two [or] three eunuchs;
33 Taflasant hi i lawr, a thasgodd peth o'i gwaed ar y pared ac ar y meirch, a mathrwyd hithau.
33And he saith, `Let her go;` and they let her go, and [some] of her blood is sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses, and he treadeth her down.
34 Wedi iddo fwyta ac yfed, dywedodd, "Gofalwch am gladdu'r ddynes felltigedig yna, oblegid merch i frenin oedd hi."
34And he cometh in, and eateth, and drinketh, and saith, `Look after, I pray you, this cursed one, and bury her, for she [is] a king`s daughter.`
35 Ond pan aethant i'w chladdu, ni chawsant ddim ohoni ond y benglog a'r traed a chledrau'r dwylo.
35And they go to bury her, and have not found of her except the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
36 A phan ddaethant yn l a dweud wrtho, dywedodd Jehu, "Dyma a fynegodd yr ARGLWYDD drwy ei was Elias y Thesbiad: Yn rhandir Jesreel fe fwyty'r cu373?n gnawd Jesebel,
36And they turn back, and declare to him, and he saith, `The word of Jehovah it [is], that He spake by the hand of this servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel do the dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel,
37 a bydd corff Jesebel fel tail ar wyneb cae yn rhandir Jesreel, fel na ellir dweud, 'Dyma Jesebel.'"
37and the carcase of Jezebel hath been as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, that they say not, This [is] Jezebel.`
