Young`s Literal Translation

2 Samuel

15

1 Wedi hyn darparodd Absalom iddo'i hun gerbyd a meirch, a hanner cant o ddynion i redeg o'i flaen.
1And it cometh to pass afterwards, that Absalom prepareth for himself a chariot, and horses, and fifty men are running before him;
2 Codai'n fore, a sefyll ar ochr y ffordd at borth y ddinas, a phan fyddai unrhyw un yn dod ag achos at y brenin am ddedfryd, byddai Absalom yn ei alw ato ac yn holi, "O ba dref yr wyt ti?" A byddai hwnnw'n ateb, "O un o lwythau Israel y mae dy was."
2and Absalom hath risen early, and stood by the side of the way of the gate, and it cometh to pass, every man who hath a pleading to come unto the king for judgment, that Absalom calleth unto him, and saith, `Of what city [art] thou?` and he saith, `Of one of the tribes of Israel [is] thy servant.`
3 Yna byddai Absalom yn dweud, "Edrych, y mae dy achos yn un da a chryf, ond ni chei wrandawiad gan y brenin."
3And Absalom saith unto him, `See, thy matters [are] good and straightforward — and there is none hearkening to thee from the king.`
4 Ac ychwanegai Absalom, "O na fyddwn i yn cael fy ngosod yn farnwr dros y wlad! Yna byddai pob un chu373?yn neu achos ganddo yn dod ataf fi, a byddwn i yn sicrhau cyfiawnder iddo."
4And Absalom saith, `Who doth make me a judge in the land, that unto me doth come every man who hath a plea and judgment? — then I have declared him righteous.`
5 Pan fyddai unrhyw un yn agosu i ymgrymu iddo, byddai ef yn estyn ei law, yn gafael ynddo ac yn ei gusanu.
5And it hath come to pass, in the drawing nearing of any one to bow himself to him, that he hath put forth his hand, and laid hold on him, and given a kiss to him;
6 Fel hyn y byddai Absalom yn ymddwyn tuag at bob Israeliad oedd yn dod at y brenin am ddedfryd, a denodd fryd pobl Israel.
6and Absalom doth according to this thing to all Israel who come in for judgment unto the king, and Absalom stealeth the heart of the men of Israel.
7 Wedi pedair blynedd dywedodd Absalom wrth y brenin, "Gad imi fynd i Hebron a thalu'r adduned a wneuthum i'r ARGLWYDD;
7And it cometh to pass, at the end of forty years, that Absalom saith unto the king, `Let me go, I pray thee, and I complete my vow, that I vowed to Jehovah in Hebron,
8 oherwydd pan oeddwn yn byw yn Gesur yn Syria, gwnaeth dy was yr adduned hon, 'Os byth y daw'r ARGLWYDD mi yn l i Jerwsalem, fe addolaf yr ARGLWYDD.'"
8for a vow hath thy servant vowed in my dwelling in Geshur, in Aram, saying, If Jehovah doth certainly bring me back to Jerusalem, then I have served Jehovah.`
9 Dywedodd y brenin, "Dos mewn heddwch!" Aeth yntau i ffwrdd i Hebron.
9And the king saith to him, `Go in peace;` and he riseth and goeth to Hebron,
10 Yr oedd Absalom wedi anfon negeswyr drwy holl lwythau Israel a dweud wrthynt, "Pan glywch sain yr utgorn, cyhoeddwch, 'Y mae Absalom wedi dod yn frenin yn Hebron.'"
10and Absalom sendeth spies through all the tribes of Israel, saying, `At your hearing the voice of the trumpet, then ye have said, Absalom hath reigned in Hebron.`
11 Aeth deucant o wu375?r gydag Absalom o Jerwsalem; yr oeddent wedi eu gwahodd, ac yn mynd yn gwbl ddiniwed, heb wybod dim byd.
11And with Absalom have gone two hundred men, out of Jerusalem, invited ones, and they are going in their simplicity, and have not known anything;
12 Anfonodd Absalom hefyd am Ahitoffel y Giloniad, cynghorydd Dafydd, i ddod o'i dref, Gilo, i fod gydag ef wrth offrymu'r ebyrth. Yr oedd y cynllwyn yn cynyddu, a'r bobl oedd o blaid Absalom yn dal i amlhau.
12and Absalom sendeth Ahithophel the Gilonite, a counsellor of David, out of his city, out of Gilo, in his sacrificing sacrifices; and the conspiracy is strong, and the people are going and increasing with Absalom.
13 Daeth rhywun a dweud wrth Ddafydd fod bryd pobl Israel ar Absalom,
13And he who is declaring tidings cometh in unto David, saying, `The heart of the men of Israel hath been after Absalom.`
14 a dywedodd Dafydd wrth ei holl weision oedd gydag ef yn Jerwsalem, "Codwch, inni gael ffoi; onid e, ni fydd modd inni ddianc rhag Absalom; brysiwch oddi yma rhag iddo ef ymosod yn sydyn arnom a pheri niwed inni, a tharo'r ddinas 'r cleddyf."
14And David saith to all his servants who [are] with him in Jerusalem, `Rise, and we flee, for we have no escape from the face of Absalom; haste to go, lest he hasten, and have overtaken us, and forced on us evil, and smitten the city by the mouth of the sword.`
15 Dywedodd gweision y brenin wrtho, "Beth bynnag yw penderfyniad ein harglwydd frenin, y mae dy weision yn barod."
15And the servants of the king say unto the king, `According to all that my lord the king chooseth — lo, thy servants [do].`
16 Yna ymadawodd y brenin, a'i deulu i gyd yn ei ganlyn, gan adael deg o'r gordderchwragedd i ofalu am y tu375?.
16And the king goeth out, and all his household at his feet, and the king leaveth ten women — concubines — to keep the house.
17 Wedi i'r brenin a'r holl fintai oedd yn ei ganlyn fynd allan, safodd ger y tu375? pellaf.
17And the king goeth out, and all the people at his feet, and they stand still at the farthest off house.
18 A safodd ei weision gerllaw iddo, tra oedd y Cerethiaid a'r Pelethiaid i gyd, a'r holl Gethiaid, sef y chwe chant o wu375?r oedd wedi dod o Gath i'w ganlyn, yn croesi gerbron y brenin.
18And all his servants are passing on at his side, and all the Cherethite, and all the Pelethite, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came at his feet from Gath, are passing on at the front of the king.
19 Gofynnodd y brenin i Itai y Gethiad, "Pam yr wyt ti'n dod gyda ni? Dos yn l ac aros gyda'r brenin newydd, oherwydd dieithryn wyt ti, ac alltud oddi cartref.
19And the king saith unto Ittai the Gittite, `Why dost thou go — thou also — with us? turn back — and abide with the king, for thou [art] a stranger, and also an exile thou — to thy place.
20 Ddoe y daethost ti; a wnaf fi iti grwydro heddiw gyda ni ar daith, a minnau heb wybod i ble'r wyf yn mynd? Dos yn l, a dos 'th gymrodyr gyda thi; a bydded i'r ARGLWYDD ddangos iti drugaredd a ffyddlondeb."
20Yesterday [is] thy coming in, and to-day I move thee to go with us, and I am going on that which I am going! — turn back, and take back thy brethren with thee, — kindness and truth.`
21 Atebodd Itai a dweud wrth y brenin, "Cyn wired bod yr ARGLWYDD yn fyw, a thithau hefyd, f'arglwydd frenin, ple bynnag yr f'arglwydd frenin, i farw neu i fyw, yno'n sicr y bydd dy was hefyd."
21And Ittai answereth the king and saith, `Jehovah liveth, and my lord the king liveth, surely in the place where my lord the king is — if for death, if for life, surely there is thy servant.`
22 Yna dywedodd Dafydd wrth Itai, "Dos ymlaen, ynteu." Felly aeth Itai y Gethiad yn ei flaen, a'i holl bobl a'r holl blant oedd gydag ef.
22And David saith unto Ittai, `Go and pass over;` and Ittai the Gittite passeth over, and all his men, and all the infants who [are] with him.
23 Yr oedd su373?n wylo mawr trwy'r holl wlad pan oedd y bobl yn croesi. Safodd y brenin wrth nant Cidron nes i'r bobl i gyd fynd drosodd i gyfeiriad yr anialwch.
23And all the land are weeping — a great voice, and all the people are passing over; and the king is passing over through the brook Kidron, and all the people are passing over on the front of the way of the wilderness;
24 Yr oedd Sadoc yno hefyd, a'r holl Lefiaid oedd gydag ef yn cario arch cyfamod Duw. Wedi iddynt osod arch Duw i lawr, bu Abiathar yn offrymu nes i'r bobl i gyd ymadael 'r ddinas.
24and lo, also Zadok, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God, and they make the ark of God firm, and Abiathar goeth up, till the completion of all the people to pass over out of the city.
25 Yna dywedodd y brenin wrth Sadoc, "Dos ag arch Duw yn l i'r ddinas; os caf ffafr yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, fe ddaw mi yn l, a gadael imi ei gweld hi a'i chartref.
25And the king saith to Zadok, `Take back the ark of God to the city; if I find grace in the eyes of Jehovah, then He hath brought me back, and shewn me it and His habitation;
26 Ond os dywed fel hyn, 'Nid oes arnaf d'eisiau,' dyma fi; caiff wneud fel y myn mi."
26and if thus He say, I have not delighted in thee; here [am] I, He doth to me as [is] good in His eyes.`
27 Hefyd dywedodd y brenin wrth Sadoc yr offeiriad, "Edrych, fe elli di ac Abiathar ddychwelyd yn ddiogel i'r ddinas, a'ch dau fab gyda chwi, Ahimaas dy fab di a Jonathan, mab Abiathar.
27And the king saith unto Zadok the priest, `Art thou a seer? turn back to the city in peace, and Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan son of Abiathar, your two sons with you;
28 Edrychwch, fe oedaf wrth rydau'r anialwch hyd nes y caf air oddi wrthych i'm hysbysu."
28see ye, I am tarrying in the plains of the wilderness till the coming in of a word from you to declare to me.`
29 Felly dygodd Sadoc ac Abiathar arch Duw yn l i Jerwsalem, ac aros yno.
29And Zadok taketh back — and Abiathar — the ark of God to Jerusalem, and they abide there.
30 Dringodd Dafydd lethr Mynydd yr Olewydd dan wylo a chuddio'i ben a cherdded yn droednoeth. Yr oedd yr holl bobl oedd gydag ef hefyd yn dringo gan guddio'u pennau ac wylo.
30And David is going up in the ascent of the olives, going up and weeping, and he hath the head covered, and he is going barefooted, and all the people who [are] with him have covered each his head, and have gone up, going up and weeping;
31 Dywedwyd wrth Ddafydd fod Ahitoffel ymysg y cynllwynwyr gydag Absalom, a gweddodd Dafydd, "O ARGLWYDD, tro gyngor Ahitoffel yn ffolineb."
31and David declared, saying, `Ahithophel [is] among the conspirators with Absalom;` and David saith, `Make foolish, I pray Thee, the counsel of Ahithophel, O Jehovah.`
32 Pan gyrhaeddodd Dafydd y copa, lle byddid yn addoli Duw, dyma Husai yr Arciad yn dod i'w gyfarfod 'i fantell wedi ei rhwygo a phridd ar ei ben.
32And it cometh to pass, David hath come unto the top, where he boweth himself to God, and lo, to meet him [is] Hushai the Archite, his coat rent, and earth on his head;
33 Meddai Dafydd wrtho, "Os doi di gyda mi, byddi'n faich arnaf;
33and David saith to him, `If thou hast passed on with me then thou hast been on me for a burden,
34 ond os ei di'n l i'r ddinas a dweud wrth Absalom, 'Dy was di wyf fi, f'arglwydd frenin; gwas dy dad oeddwn gynt, ond dy was di wyf yn awr', yna gelli ddrysu cyngor Ahitoffel drosof.
34and if to the city thou dost turn back, and hast said to Absalom, Thy servant I am, O king; servant of thy father I [am] also hitherto, and now, I [am] also thy servant; then thou hast made void for me the counsel of Ahithophel;
35 Bydd gennyt yr offeiriaid Sadoc ac Abiathar gyda thi yno; yr wyt i ddweud wrthynt hwy bob gair a glywi o du375?'r brenin,
35and are there not with thee there Zadok and Abiathar the priests? and it hath been, the whole of the matter that thou hearest from the house of the king thou dost declare to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests.
36 oherwydd y mae'r ddau fachgen, Ahimaas fab Sadoc a Jonathan fab Abiathar, yno gyda hwy, ac fe gewch anfon ataf trwyddynt hwy bob dim a glywch."
36Lo, there with them [are] their two sons, Ahimaaz to Zadok, and Jonathan to Abiathar, and ye have sent by their hand unto me anything that ye hear.`
37 Daeth Husai, cyfaill Dafydd, i'r ddinas fel yr oedd Absalom yn cyrraedd Jerwsalem.
37And Hushai, David`s friend, cometh in to the city, and Absalom cometh in to Jerusalem.
