Acts

14

1 Yn Iconium eto, aethant i mewn i synagog yr Iddewon a llefaru yn y fath fodd nes i liaws mawr o Iddewon a Groegiaid gredu.
1And it came to pass in Iconium, that they did enter together into the synagogue of the Jews, and spake, so that there believed both of Jews and Greeks a great multitude;
2 Ond dyma'r Iddewon a wrthododd gredu yn cyffroi meddyliau'r Cenhedloedd, a'u gwyrdroi yn erbyn y credinwyr.
2and the unbelieving Jews did stir up and made evil the souls of the nations against the brethren;
3 Treuliasant, felly, gryn amser yn llefaru'n hy yn yr Arglwydd, a thystiodd yntau i air ei ras trwy beri gwneud arwyddion a rhyfeddodau trwyddynt hwy.
3long time, indeed, therefore, did they abide speaking boldly in the Lord, who is testifying to the word of His grace, and granting signs and wonders to come to pass through their hands.
4 Rhannwyd pobl y ddinas; yr oedd rhai gyda'r Iddewon, a rhai gyda'r apostolion.
4And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews, and some with the apostles,
5 Pan wnaed cynnig gan y Cenhedloedd a'r Iddewon, ynghyd 'u harweinwyr, i'w camdrin a'u llabyddio,
5and when there was a purpose both of the nations and of the Jews with their rulers to use [them] despitefully, and to stone them,
6 wedi cael achlust o'r peth ffoesant i Lystra a Derbe, dinasoedd Lycaonia, ac i'r wlad o amgylch,
6they having become aware, did flee to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and to the region round about,
7 ac yno yr oeddent yn cyhoeddi'r newydd da.
7and there they were proclaiming good news.
8 Ac yn Lystra yr oedd yn eistedd ryw ddyn 'i draed yn ddiffrwyth, un cloff o'i enedigaeth, nad oedd erioed wedi cerdded.
8And a certain man in Lystra, impotent in the feet, was sitting, being lame from the womb of his mother — who never had walked,
9 Yr oedd hwn yn gwrando ar Paul yn llefaru. Syllodd yntau arno, a gwelodd fod ganddo ffydd i gael ei iachu,
9this one was hearing Paul speaking, who, having stedfastly beheld him, and having seen that he hath faith to be saved,
10 a dywedodd llais uchel, "Saf yn unionsyth ar dy draed." Neidiodd yntau i fyny a dechrau cerdded.
10said with a loud voice, `Stand up on thy feet upright;` and he was springing and walking,
11 Pan welodd y tyrfaoedd yr hyn yr oedd Paul wedi ei wneud, gwaeddasant yn iaith Lycaonia: "Y duwiau a ddaeth i lawr atom ar lun dynion";
11and the multitudes having seen what Paul did, did lift up their voice, in the speech of Lycaonia, saying, `The gods, having become like men, did come down unto us;`
12 a galwasant Barnabas yn Zeus, a Paul yn Hermes, gan mai ef oedd y siaradwr blaenaf.
12they were calling also Barnabas Zeus, and Paul Hermes, since he was the leader in speaking.
13 Yr oedd teml Zeus y tu allan i'r ddinas, a daeth yr offeiriad theirw a thorchau at y pyrth gan fwriadu offrymu aberth gyda'r tyrfaoedd.
13And the priest of the Zeus that is before their city, oxen and garlands unto the porches having brought, with the multitudes did wish to sacrifice,
14 Pan glywodd yr apostolion, Barnabas a Paul, am hyn, rhwygasant eu dillad, a neidio allan i blith y dyrfa dan weiddi,
14and having heard, the apostles Barnabas and Paul, having rent their garments, did spring into the multitude, crying
15 "Ddynion, pam yr ydych yn gwneud hyn? Bodau dynol ydym ninnau, o'r un anian chwi. Cyhoeddi newydd da i chwi yr ydym, i'ch troi oddi wrth y pethau ofer hyn at y Duw byw a wnaeth y nef a'r ddaear a'r mr a phopeth sydd ynddynt.
15and saying, `Men, why these things do ye? and we are men like-affected with you, proclaiming good news to you, from these vanities to turn unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them;
16 Yn yr oesoedd a fu, goddefodd ef i'r holl genhedloedd rodio yn eu ffyrdd eu hunain.
16who in the past generations did suffer all the nations to go on in their ways,
17 Ac eto ni adawodd ei hun heb dyst, gan iddo gyfrannu bendithion: rhoi glaw ichwi o'r nef, a thymhorau ffrwythlon, a chyflawnder calon o luniaeth a llawenydd."
17though, indeed, without witness He did not leave himself, doing good — from heaven giving rains to us, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness;`
18 Ond er dweud hyn, o'r braidd yr ataliasant y tyrfaoedd rhag offrymu aberth iddynt.
18and these things saying, scarcely did they restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.
19 Daeth Iddewon yno o Antiochia ac Iconium; ac wedi iddynt berswadio'r tyrfaoedd, lluchiasant gerrig at Paul, a'i lusgo allan o'r ddinas, gan dybio ei fod wedi marw.
19And there came thither, from Antioch and Iconium, Jews, and they having persuaded the multitudes, and having stoned Paul, drew him outside of the city, having supposed him to be dead;
20 Ond ffurfiodd y disgyblion gylch o'i gwmpas, a chododd yntau ac aeth i mewn i'r ddinas. Trannoeth, aeth ymaith gyda Barnabas i Derbe.
20and the disciples having surrounded him, having risen he entered into the city, and on the morrow he went forth with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 Buont yn cyhoeddi'r newydd da i'r ddinas honno, ac wedi gwneud disgyblion lawer, dychwelsant i Lystra ac i Iconium ac i Antiochia,
21Having proclaimed good news also to that city, and having discipled many, they turned back to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,
22 a chadarnhau eneidiau'r disgyblion a'u hannog i lynu wrth y ffydd, gan ddweud, "Trwy lawer o gyfyngderau yr ydym i fynd i mewn i deyrnas Dduw."
22confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to remain in the faith, and that through many tribulations it behoveth us to enter into the reign of God,
23 Penodasant iddynt henuriaid ym mhob eglwys, a'u cyflwyno, ar l gweddo ac ymprydio, i'r Arglwydd yr oeddent wedi credu ynddo.
23and having appointed to them by vote elders in every assembly, having prayed with fastings, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
24 Wedi iddynt deithio trwy Pisidia, daethant i Pamffylia;
24And having passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia,
25 ac wedi llefaru'r gair yn Perga, aethant i lawr i Atalia,
25and having spoken in Perga the word, they went down to Attalia,
26 ac oddi yno hwyliasant i Antiochia, i'r fan lle'r oeddent wedi eu cyflwyno i ras Duw at y gwaith yr oeddent wedi ei gyflawni.
26and thence did sail to Antioch, whence they had been given by the grace of God for the work that they fulfilled;
27 Wedi iddynt gyrraedd, cynullasant yr eglwys ynghyd ac adrodd gymaint yr oedd Duw wedi ei wneud gyda hwy, ac fel yr oedd wedi agor drws ffydd i'r Cenhedloedd.
27and having come and gathered together the assembly, they declared as many things as God did with them, and that He did open to the nations a door of faith;
28 A threuliasant gryn dipyn o amser gyda'r disgyblion.
28and they abode there not a little time with the disciples.
