1 Os gweli ych neu ddafad sy'n eiddo i un o'th gymrodyr yn crwydro, paid 'i hanwybyddu, ond gofala ei dychwelyd iddo.
1`Thou dost not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep driven away, and hast hidden thyself from them, thou dost certainly turn them back to thy brother;
2 Os nad yw'r perchennog yn byw yn d'ymyl, na thithau'n gwybod pwy yw, dos 'r anifail adref a chadw ef nes y daw ei berchennog i chwilio amdano; yna rho ef yn ei l.
2and if thy brother [is] not near unto thee, and thou hast not known him, then thou hast removed it unto the midst of thy house, and it hath been with thee till thy brother seek it, and thou hast given it back to him;
3 Gwna'r un modd os doi o hyd i'w asyn, neu ei glogyn neu unrhyw beth arall a gollir gan un o'th gymrodyr; ni elli ei anwybyddu.
3and so thou dost to his ass, and so thou dost to his garment, and so thou dost to any lost thing of thy brother`s, which is lost by him, and thou hast found it; thou art not able to hide thyself.
4 Os gweli asyn neu ych un o'th gymrodyr wedi cwympo ar y ffordd, nid wyt i'w anwybyddu; gofala roi help iddo i'w godi.
4`Thou dost not see the ass of thy brother, or his ox, falling in the way, and hast hid thyself from them; thou dost certainly raise [them] up with him.
5 Nid yw gwraig i wisgo dillad dyn, na dyn i wisgo dillad gwraig; oherwydd y mae pob un sy'n gwneud hyn yn ffiaidd gan yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw.
5`The habiliments of a man are not on a woman, nor doth a man put on the garment of a woman, for the abomination of Jehovah thy God [is] any one doing these.
6 Os digwydd iti ar dy ffordd daro ar nyth aderyn a chywion neu wyau ynddi, prun ai mewn llwyn neu ar y llawr, a'r ir yn gori ar y cywion neu'r wyau, nid wyt i gymryd yr ir a'r rhai bach.
6`When a bird`s nest cometh before thee in the way, in any tree, or on the earth, brood or eggs, and the mother sitting on the brood or on the eggs, thou dost not take the mother with the young ones;
7 Gad i'r ir fynd, a chymer y rhai bach i ti dy hun, er mwyn iddi fod yn dda iti, ac iti estyn dy ddyddiau.
7thou dost certainly send away the mother, and the young ones dost take to thyself, so that it is well with thee, and thou hast prolonged days.
8 Pan fyddi'n adeiladu tu375? newydd, gwna ganllaw o amgylch y to, rhag i'th du375? fod yn achos marwolaeth, petai rhywun yn syrthio oddi arno.
8`When thou buildest a new house, then thou hast made a parapet to thy roof, and thou dost not put blood on thy house when one falleth from it.
9 Nid wyt i hau hadau gwahanol yn dy winllan, rhag i'r cwbl gael ei fforffedu i'r cysegr, sef yr had a heuaist a chynnyrch y winllan hefyd.
9`Thou dost not sow thy vineyard [with] divers things, lest the fulness of the seed which thou dost sow, and the increase of the vineyard, be separated.
10 Nid wyt i aredig gydag ych ac asyn ynghyd.
10`Thou dost not plow with an ox and with an ass together.
11 Nid wyt i wisgo dilledyn o frethyn cymysg o wln a llin.
11`Thou dost not put on a mixed cloth, wool and linen together.
12 Gwna iti blethau ar bedair congl y clogyn y byddi'n ei wisgo.
12`Fringes thou dost make to thee on the four skirts of thy covering with which thou dost cover [thyself].
13 Bwriwch fod dyn yn cymryd gwraig, ac yna wedi iddo gael cyfathrach hi, yn ei chasu,
13`When a man taketh a wife, and hath gone in unto her, and hated her,
14 yn rhoi gair drwg iddi, ac yn pardduo'i chymeriad a dweud, "Priodais y ddynes hon, ond pan euthum ati ni chefais brawf o'i gwyryfdod."
14and laid against her actions of words, and brought out against her an evil name, and said, This woman I have taken, and I draw near unto her, and I have not found in her tokens of virginity:
15 Os felly, fe gymer tad a mam yr eneth brawf gwyryfdod yr eneth a'i ddangos i'r henuriaid ym mhorth y dref;
15`Then hath the father of the damsel — and her mother — taken and brought out the tokens of virginity of the damsel unto the elders of the city in the gate,
16 ac fe ddywed tad yr eneth wrth yr henuriaid, "Rhoddais fy merch i'r dyn hwn yn wraig, ond y mae'n ei chasu,
16and the father of the damsel hath said unto the elders, My daughter I have given to this man for a wife, and he doth hate her;
17 a dyma ef yn rhoi gair drwg iddi ac yn dweud na chafodd brawf o'i gwyryfdod. Dyma brawf o wyryfdod fy merch." Yna lledant y dilledyn gerbron henuriaid y dref,
17and lo, he hath laid actions of words, saying, I have not found to thy daughter tokens of virginity — and these [are] the tokens of the virginity of my daughter! and they have spread out the garment before the elders of the city.
18 a byddant hwythau yn cymryd y dyn ac yn ei gosbi.
18`And the elders of that city have taken the man, and chastise him,
19 Rhoddant arno ddirwy o gan sicl arian, i'w rhoi i dad yr eneth, am iddo bardduo cymeriad gwyryf o Israel; a bydd hi'n wraig iddo, ac ni all ei hysgaru tra bydd byw.
19and fined him a hundred silverlings, and given to the father of the damsel, because he hath brought out an evil name on a virgin of Israel, and she is to him for a wife, he is not able to send her away all his days.
20 Ond os yw'r cyhuddiad yn wir, ac os na chafwyd prawf o wyryfdod yr eneth,
20`And if this thing hath been truth — tokens of virginity have not been found for the damsel —
21 yna dnt hi i ddrws tu375? ei thad; ac y mae gwu375?r ei thref i'w llabyddio'n gelain cherrig, am iddi weithredu'n ysgeler yn Israel, trwy buteinio yn nhu375? ei thad. Felly y byddi'n dileu'r drwg o'ch mysg.
21then they have brought out the damsel unto the opening of her father`s house, and stoned her have the men of her city with stones, and she hath died, for she hath done folly in Israel, to go a-whoring [in] her father`s house; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.
22 Os ceir dyn yn gorwedd gyda gwraig briod, y mae'r ddau i farw, sef y dyn oedd yn gorwedd gyda'r wraig yn ogystal 'r wraig. Felly y byddi'n dileu'r drwg allan o Israel.
22`When a man is found lying with a woman, married to a husband, then they have died even both of them, the man who is lying with the woman, also the woman; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of Israel.
23 Os bydd dyn yn taro ar eneth sy'n wyryf ac wedi ei dyweddo i u373?r, ac yn gorwedd gyda hi o fewn y dref,
23`When there is a damsel, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and a man hath found her in a city, and lain with her;
24 yna dewch 'r ddau allan at borth y dref a'u llabyddio'n gelain cherrig yr eneth am na waeddodd, a hithau yn y dref, a'r dyn am iddo dreisio gwraig ei gymydog. Felly y byddi'n dileu'r drwg o'ch mysg.
24then ye have brought them both out unto the gate of that city, and stoned them with stones, and they have died: — the damsel, because that she hath not cried, [being] in a city; and the man, because that he hath humbled his neighbour`s wife; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.
25 Ond os bydd y dyn wedi taro ar yr eneth a ddyweddwyd allan yn y wlad, a'i threchu a gorwedd gyda hi, yna y dyn a orweddodd gyda hi yn unig sydd i farw.
25`And if in a field the man find the damsel who is betrothed, and the man hath laid hold on her, and lain with her, then hath the man who hath lain with her died alone;
26 Nid wyt i wneud dim i'r eneth, oherwydd ni wnaeth hi ddim i haeddu marw; y mae'r achos yma yr un fath rhywun yn codi yn erbyn un arall ac yn ei lofruddio.
26and to the damsel thou dost not do anything, the damsel hath no deadly sin; for as a man riseth against his neighbour and hath murdered him — the life, so [is] this thing;
27 Allan yn y wlad y trawodd y dyn arni, ac er i'r eneth a ddyweddwyd weiddi, nid oedd neb i'w harbed.
27for in a field he found her, she hath cried — the damsel who is betrothed — and she hath no saviour.
28 Os bydd dyn yn taro ar wyryf nad yw wedi ei dyweddo, ac yn gafael ynddi a gorwedd gyda hi, a hwythau'n cael eu dal,
28`When a man findeth a damsel, a virgin who is not betrothed, and hath caught her, and lain with her, and they have been found,
29 yna y mae'r dyn a orweddodd gyda hi i roi hanner can sicl o arian i dad yr eneth, a rhaid iddo'i phriodi am iddo ei threisio; ni all ei hysgaru tra bydd byw.
29then hath the man who is lying with her given to the father of the damsel fifty silverlings, and to him she is for a wife; because that he hath humbled her, he is not able to send her away all his days.
30 Nid yw dyn i briodi gwraig i'w dad, rhag iddo ddwyn gwarth ar ei dad.
30`A man doth not take his father`s wife, nor uncover his father`s skirt.
